How do we better understand and address homelessness in our communities and beyond? On episode 3 of Renegade Femme for the Revolution™, LaToya Gamble, owner of Heaven in Your Home Catering, talks with Zuleica about her lived experiences of homelessness and how that shaped her vision in creating her own movement with One Body Many Members, a registered nonprofit working on homelessness as a healing space for the community.
The conversation includes rhetoric around individuals who are suffering from homelessness, the systems that perpetuate it, and how the resources set up to change the pandemic are often barriers to making it happen. Everyone has their own story - some use theirs to help solve some intractable problems.
