of the Advent Bible reading.
Today we're on day 10, and we'regonna be into a real Christmas

story this time.
Um, I've got somebody excitingfor you here.
I'm not even gonna introduceher.
She's gonna introduce herselfand you're gonna know who it is.

It's nice not having to speakthe whole time.
So what are you gonna be readingtoday?

Today we're reading Luke chapter one, verses 26
through 28, all about theforetelling of the birth of
Jesus.

SPEAKER_00 (02:11):
Really?
We just got two verses today.

SPEAKER_01 (02:15):
Through 38.

SPEAKER_00 (02:16):
Yeah, that's okay.
Yeah, that's okay.
Twenty-eight.
Two two yeah, we're just gonnastop.
As you can tell, I'm still notover what I've got, so I'm just
gonna give it to Ashton.
Go.

SPEAKER_01 (02:31):
In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from
God to a city of Galilee namedNazareth, to a virgin betrothed
to a man whose name was Josephof the house of David.
And the virgin's name was Mary,and he came to her and said,
Greetings, O favored one, theLord is with you.
But she was greatly troubled atthe saying, and tried to discern

what sort of greeting this mightbe.
And the angel said to her, Donot be afraid, Mary, for you
have found favor with God, andbehold, you will conceive in
your womb and bear a son, andyou shall call his name Jesus.
He will be great and will becalled the Son of the Most High,
and the Lord God will give tohim the throne of his father

David, and he will reign overthe house of Jacob forever, and
of his kingdom there will be noend.
And Mary said to the angel, Howwill this be, since I am a
virgin?
And the angel answered her, TheHoly Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Most Highwill overshadow you, and

therefore the child to be bornwill be called holy, the son of
God.
And behold, your relativeElizabeth in her old age has
also conceived a son, and thisis the sixth month with her who
was called barren, for nothingwill be impossible with God.
And Mary said, Behold, I am theservant of the Lord.

Let it be to me according toyour word.
And the angel departed from her.
