Loyalty has become a forgotten virtue in today's world of convenience and self-focus. This raw, challenging episode confronts what true loyalty looks like in an age where commitment has become optional and faithfulness rare.

The loyalty crisis affecting our world manifests in three critical areas. First, in our relationship with God—where many offer lip service without the obedience that costs something. Biblical loyalty isn't about religious performance but showing up when temptation strikes, when God seems silent in suffering, and when the crowd abandons ship. As Rick powerfully reminds us, "American Christianity preaches comfort. Biblical Christianity preaches loyalty."

The crisis extends into our relationships, where we're often connected but not committed. True loyalty gets tested when friends struggle with addiction or depression, when difficult confrontations become necessary, and when forgiveness feels impossible. Like Ruth told Naomi, loyalty declares, "where you go, I'll go" even when there's nothing to gain but shared sorrow.

Most challenging is the call to remain loyal to the church—protecting what God is building despite imperfections. With believers leaving churches over offense rather than doctrine, leaders burning out, and congregations splitting over personalities, we need the steadfastness described in Hebrews 10:25. The remnant God is raising in these end times aren't perfect, but they're faithful when it's unpopular, present when it's difficult, and unwavering when everything shakes. Will you be among the loyal ones still standing when Christ returns? The decision starts today.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The world is changing and time is running out.
This is Renewed Mindsets, wherewe confront Biblical truth
head-on no sugarcoating, nocompromise.
We expose false doctrine, reveal fulfilled prophecy and
shine light on the demonicdeception of these last days,

(00:21):
but we also stand firm on thehope of Christ's return, the
call to holiness and the urgencyof true salvation.
It's time to renew your mind, for the time is now.
Let's go, boys.
Hey, welcome back to RenewedMindsets, the podcast that

(00:49):
shakes up soft religion andrealigns your thinking with the
mind of Christ.
I'm Rick and I'm so glad you'rehere.
In today's episode we're goingto hit really deep Because we're
talking about a word that thisgeneration doesn't even
understand anymore Loyalty,loyalty.
We're watching a loyalty crisisunfold in our world.

(01:14):
People are loyal to convenience, not conviction, to feelings,
not truth to self, not to God,not truth to self, not to God.
Loyalty isn't loud, it doesn'tadvertise itself, but it shows
up in how we obey God, how welove people and how we handle

(01:35):
the church.
In a culture that ghostedcommitment, the loyal ones will
shine bright in the darkness.
So today I'm asking are you oneof the last loyal ones?
So let's begin where loyaltyhas to start with God, not with

(01:59):
lip service, not with bumpersticker faith, but with
obedience when it costs you.
Luke 9.23 says If anyone wouldcome after me, let him deny
himself, take up his cross dailyand follow me.
Those are the words of Jesus.
That doesn't sound like aSunday morning slogan, does it?

(02:20):
That's a lifestyle of sacrifice.
So so when is our loyalty toGod tested?
Well, it's tested when you'retempted by what you used to love
, that old addiction, that toxicrelationship, that shortcut to
success.
The temptation says God willunderstand.

(02:42):
Loyalty says I'd rather offendmy flesh than offend my king.
It's also tested when God seemssilent in your suffering.
Your child's not healed yetyour marriage still feels cold.
The money is still tight.
Loyalty says even if I don'tsee the miracle, I'll still

(03:07):
worship the master Job 13.15,.
Though he slay me, yet, I willtrust him.
It's also tested when the crowdwalks away, when your friends
are deconstructing their faith, when leaders fall, when culture

(03:28):
mocks you for your convictions.
Loyalty means staying whenothers sprint for the exit.
John 6, 66 through 68 says manyturned back and no longer
followed him.
Jesus asked Do you want toleave too?
Peter replied Lord, to whomshall we go?

(03:50):
There's been times I've wantedto run.
There's times where things weredifficult for me, where I was
and I thought I could just leaveand it'd be so much better.
But then I say, where would Igo?
No place is better than whereI'm at.
I've just got to overcome this.

(04:11):
Think of Daniel.
He was loyal to Babylon andthey told him to bow, but he
stood.
They told him to be quiet, hejust prayed louder.
Or, in a real-time thing, thepersecuted church today,
believers in North Korea orChina, parts of Africa, who lose

(04:33):
everything but refuse to denyChrist.
American Christianity preachescomfort.
Biblical Christianity preachesloyalty.
Under pressure and in these endtimes we're seeing a false
Jesus being preached, asanitized, sin-affirming,

(04:53):
powerless version of Christ.
But Jesus said in John 4.15, ofChrist.
But Jesus said in John 4.15, ifyou love me, you will keep my
commandments.
That's not legalism, that'sloyal love.

(05:18):
Let's talk about loyalty inrelationships, because betrayal
isn't just happening in theworld, it's happening in the
body of Christ.
Proverbs 17, 17 says A friendloves at all times and a brother
is born for adversity.
Today, friendship is shallow.
People are connected butthey're not committed.
We post prayers but ghost thefriend who's drowning.

(05:39):
We post prayers but ghost thefriend who's drowning.
So earlier we talked about whenis loyalty to God tested.
Now let's talk about when isloyalty to one another tested.
It's tested when somebody'sstruggling.
Do we stand with them or do wejudge them from a distance?

(06:00):
Someone falls into addiction ordepression or sin.
Do we avoid them or do we goget them?
Galatians, chapter 6, 1 and 2says If someone is caught in sin
, restore them gently, carryeach other's burdens.
Yeah, it's also tested whenconfrontation is required.

(06:23):
Loyalty isn't passive, it's notenabling.
It means loving someone enoughto say you're screwing up,
you're drifting and I care toomuch to let you fall.
Proverbs 27.6, faithful are thewords of a friend.
Another way it's tested whenforgiveness is hard.

(06:46):
Someone hurts you, wounds you, disappoints you.
Loyalty doesn't always meanreconciliation, but it does mean
refusing to slander, refusingto seek revenge and staying
Christ-like even in the pain.

(07:07):
Now here's an example.
Think of Ruth.
When Naomi had nothing left, she said where you go, I'll go.
Your God will be my God.
People, that's loyalty tosomeone who could offer her
nothing but shared sorrow.
Or think of Paul and Barnabas.

(07:28):
They had real conflict, butboth kept serving Christ and the
gospel kept moving.
We're not called to likeeverybody, but we have to love.
Loyalty doesn't always looklike agreement.
It looks like grace andperseverance.

(07:49):
So we've discussed being loyalto God, being loyal to one
another.
Now let's talk about loyalty tothe church, protecting what God
is building.
We're in a time where thechurch is under pressure from
the outside and the inside.

(08:09):
People are leaving churches notbecause of truth but because of
offense.
Leaders are burning out becausethe sheep expect perfection
without offering prayer.
Churches are splitting not overdoctrine but personalities and
preferences.
Hebrews 10.25 says Do not giveup meeting together, but

(08:32):
encourage one another.
Don't quit going, encourage oneanother, keep going to church.
Now, when is loyalty to thechurch tested?
Well, when leadership makesmistakes.
You know, you know what I'mtalking about.
Do you correct in love and pray, or do you spread gossip and

(08:54):
leave?
No church is perfect.
No leader is flawless.
Loyalty means staying rootedwhile pursuing truth and
accountability.
Another way loyalty is testedwith the church when you're
asked to serve, not just receive.

(09:15):
Consumer Christianity says whatcan I get?
Kingdom loyalty says what can Iget.
Kingdom loyalty says where canI serve?
First Corinthians, chapter 12,verse 27, says you are the body
of Christ and each one of you ispart of it Another way.
Loyalty to the church is testedwhen offense comes knocking at

(09:40):
the door.
People are going to disappointyou.
Sermons won't always inspireyou, but loyalty means you don't
bail at the first conflict.
You fight for unity.
Ephesians 4.3 says Make everyeffort to keep the unity of the
Spirit through the bond of peace.

(10:00):
I mean, look at Jesus and hisdisciples.
He built a church with a taxcollector, a zealot, a doubter
and a betrayer, but still hedidn't abandon them.
A church divided will neversurvive the end times, but a
loyal remnant will.
So let me ask you are you oneof the last loyal ones?

(10:28):
Yeah, I said the last.
What does that mean?
The Bible warns us that beforeJesus returns, there's going to
be a great falling away.
2 Thessalonians 2.3 says thatday will not come unless the
rebellion comes first.
We are watching that rebellionright now.

(10:51):
Loyalty is rare.
Betrayal is common.
But you weren't called tofollow the crowd, you were
called to follow Christ.
You don't need a platform to beloyal.
You don't need applause.
You just need a surrenderedheart and a determined spirit
that says though none go with me, still I will follow.

(11:14):
So it's about to get intense.
Loyalty starts today.
Here's my call to action.
Stop giving God half-heartedobedience.
Stop walking away from peoplewho need you.
Stop hopping churches andcalling it.

(11:37):
Well, god moved me.
God told me to move.
Recommit your loyalty to Jesus.
Love someone who's hurting.
Serve your church with passionand humility.
If you've been disloyal, repent.
If you've been wounded, heal,but don't harden.
If you're still standing, staystrong.

(12:01):
God sees you.
You're not called to blend in.
You're called to stand out Inthe fire, in the storm in the
last days.
Well, if you're still here, man,I love these bonus segments

(12:22):
because you get really the bestpart of the whole podcast.
It's the ones who really wantto hear it.
Let me ask you do you know whatbetrayal sounds like?
Huh, it's the clink of 30silver coins.
It's the soft footsteps ofdisciples scattering in the

(12:45):
night.
It's the kiss of a friend whosays rabbi while selling out the
Son of God.
But do you know what loyaltysounds like?
Nothing, no spotlight, nofanfare, just silence and
obedience.

(13:07):
Loyalty doesn't need to announceitself.
It just shows up in a prisoncell, like Paul and Silas.
It stands beside a bleedingSavior.
Like John, it weeps at the tomband still waits for a
resurrection, like Mary.
We've got too many Peterswarming themselves at the fire
and not enough Daniels prayingin the window.

(13:29):
Too many Judas hearts dressedin church clothes and not enough
Esther saying if I perish, Iperish.
This world doesn't need moreopinions, it needs more loyal
hearts faithful when it's notpopular, present when it's not
easy, and unwavering when theground is shaking.

(13:51):
The remnant God is raising up inthese end times.
They are not perfect, butthey're loyal.
They fall but they rise again.
They hurt but they heal.
In truth, they carry crosseswhile the crowd chases comfort.
Revelation 17, 14 says the Lambwill overcome and with him are

(14:16):
his, called, chosen and faithful.
Not the talented, not theflashy, not the TikTok
theologians, the faithful.
When the dust settles and theworld collapses, will you still
be standing, not because of yourstrength, but because you
stayed loyal to the one whonever betrayed you.

(14:37):
Jesus didn't flinch when theywhipped him.
He didn't quit when they mockedhim.
He didn't call down angels whenthey nailed him to the cross.
So don't you dare walk away now.
You stay loyal, you stay holyand you stay ready, because he's

(14:57):
coming back and he's coming forthe loyal ones.
