The counterfeit spirit has slipped into our pulpits, praise teams, and pews—looking spiritual, feeling good, and sounding holy, but lacking the true power of God. Satan's greatest deception isn't showing up with horns and a pitchfork; it's disguising himself as an angel of light, creating spiritual experiences that comfort without cleansing.

What happens when churches offer motivation without salvation? When services leave you feeling good but not changed? The danger lies not in how different this counterfeit appears, but in how eerily similar it seems to authentic Christianity. From TikTok spirituality to pastors preaching love without repentance, our culture is drowning in deceiving spirits that entertain the flesh while leaving souls bound.

The true Holy Spirit always exalts Jesus, convicts of sin, and leads to holiness—producing fruit of repentance, deliverance, and transformation. The counterfeit offers hype without holiness, tolerance without truth, and compromise without cost. As we approach the end times, this deception will only intensify, making spiritual discernment more crucial than ever. The Americanized gospel has turned God into a motivational speaker, but the cross was not cheap, and the blood was not a suggestion.

Are you feeding on hype instead of holiness? Have you mistaken feelings for fire? This wake-up call challenges believers to stop settling for powerless imitations and instead embrace the authentic Pentecostal fire that still falls today. The same Spirit that transformed lives in Acts 2 hasn't changed—and it's time for the end-times church to rise up in its fullness.

Text someone a link to this episode. Share the truth while there's still time. The counterfeit may grow louder as Christ's return approaches, but the fire of true Pentecost will burn even brighter in those who remain faithful.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
The world is changing and time is running out.
This is Renewed Mindsets, wherewe confront biblical truth
head-on no sugarcoating, nocompromise.
We expose false doctrine, reveal fulfilled prophecy and
shine light on the demonicdeception of these last days,

(00:21):
but we also stand firm on thehope of Christ's return, the
call to holiness and the urgencyof true salvation.
It's time to renew your mind, because time is short.
Let's go, boys.
Hey, welcome back to RenewedMindsets.

(00:48):
I'm Rick and I'm so glad you'rehere Today.
I need to talk with you aboutsomething that's creeping
through the church and sweepingthrough our culture the
counterfeit spirit.
Now hear me out on this spirit.
Now hear me out on this.
The counterfeit spirit is notjust out there in witchcraft

(01:10):
shops selling crystals inboutiques or demonic movies.
It has slipped into pulpits.
It has slipped into praiseteams.
It has slipped into pews.
It looks spiritual, it feelsgood and it sounds holy, but

(01:33):
it's not the Spirit of God.
And in these last days, if wedon't discern the difference,
we're going to be swept intodeception.
The counterfeit spirit isSatan's attempt to mimic the
Holy Spirit.
It imitates the real, but it'spowerless to save, it's
powerless to transform, it'spowerless to deliver.

(01:54):
You see, satan can't createanything.
All he can do is steal andmimic is steal and mimic.
Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11,14, even Satan disguises himself
as an angel of light.
The enemy does not show up withhorns and a pitchfork You've
heard that before he shows uplooking like the light.

(02:18):
Now think about it.
There are church services everySunday where people clap and cry
and shout but nobody repents, nobody's convicted, nobody's
changed.
That's not revival.
That is the counterfeit spiritentertaining flesh.
Have you ever left a churchservice feeling good but not

(02:42):
changed?
That's how the counterfeitworks.
It comforts without cleansing.
So what's so dangerous aboutthe counterfeit spirit?
1 Timothy 4.1 warns us.
The spirit clearly says that inthe last days some will abandon

(03:02):
the faith and follow deceivingspirits and things taught by
demons.
Can I say it any plainer?
Right now we are drowning indeceiving spirits.
Tiktok influencers are teachingteenagers to manifest their
destiny with crystals.
There's astrology apps that areguiding people's life decisions

(03:27):
.
Witchcraft is dressed up aswellness.
Political leaders quotescripture while pushing laws
that legalize abomination.
Pastors in our churchespreaching God is love but never
calling sin what it is.
They give you motivation butnot salvation.

(03:51):
This is dangerous because itlooks so close to the real thing
, but it leads you away fromJesus.
What voices are you listeningto every day?
Are they leading you closer toChrist, or are they just making
you feel good in your sin?

(04:11):
So here's how you spot it thetrue Holy Spirit always exalts
Jesus.
He always convicts of sin, healways leads you into holiness.

(04:31):
John 16.8 says the counterfeitspirit doesn't do any of that.
It entertains you, it excusesyour sin, it leaves you bound.
Jesus said in Matthew 7, 16,.
You will know them by theirfruits.
True fruit is holiness,obedience, freedom.

(04:57):
Counterfeit fruit is compromise, confusion, rebellion.
A church can have flashinglights and smoke machines and a
packed crowd, but if the altaris empty, if repentance never
happens, if no chains are broken, then what you saw was not
Pentecost, it was performance.

(05:18):
We've got so many areas in ourculture where the counterfeit
spirit just lives and breathes.
We've got TV shows like Luciferor movies about possession that
make demons look cool or funnyor harmless.
You remember the movie littleNikki?
Little Nikki, popeyes is theshiznet?

(05:38):
Yeah, I was caught up in it too.
The culture laughs at what theBible calls deadly serious.
Every teenager has a phonethat's a portal for pornography
and witchcraft and rebellion.
The enemy is discipling themwhile the church scrolls in

(06:01):
silence.
Political leaders legislateimmorality and many churches
echo it so that they can stayrelevant.
I've said it before Babylon isalive and well.
In America, the Americanizedchurch has turned God into a

(06:21):
motivational speaker.
They preach therapy withoutrepentance, success without
surrender, heaven withoutholiness.
That's not the Holy Spirit, people, that's the counterfeit.
Where have you seen thecounterfeit creeping in around
you and have you been toleratingit instead of exposing it?

(06:45):
Here's my weekly call to theremnant Don't be deceived, don't
settle for a gospel with nopower.
1 John 4.1 says Beloved, do notbelieve every spirit, but test

(07:06):
the spirits to see whether theyare from God.
Test everything by Scripture.
If it contradicts the Word, then it's not the Spirit of God.
Daily, we need to be walking inthe Spirit, praying in tongues.
Stay in the Word, keep yourlife holy.
Speak up.
Don't stay silent when you seethe Word.
Keep your life holy.
Speak up.
Don't stay silent when you seethe deception.

(07:29):
Pentecostal believers, that is,christians that believe in Acts,
chapter 2, basically thatbelieve in the book of Acts, and
that should be Christians.
I shouldn't have to sayspecifically if you're a
Christian, you should bebelieving in at least Acts
chapter 2, at least nothing.

(07:51):
You should believe the wholeBible, but Acts chapter 2 is
left out of so many churches.
Or they say that ended withthose apostles that when they
died the Holy Spirit power wentaway.
That's lazy, that's deception.
But, pentecostal believers, this is your time, the end times

(08:14):
.
The fire in you is real.
The power in you is notcounterfeit.
You're not too much.
You're right on time.
Don't stay silent aboutdeliverance.
Tell the stories of chainsbreaking.
Bring people to the house ofGod.
Show them what real Pentecostlooks like, not this fake

(08:40):
counterfeit.
If you've noticed the last fiveyears how things just keep
getting worse and crazier andcrazier, well, the counterfeit
spirit.
It's only going to increase asthe end draws near.
But the true spirit of Godhasn't changed.
The same fire that fell in Actschapter 2 is still falling

(09:03):
today.
I've seen it, I've experiencedit.
Do not trade it for powerlessimitation.
Don't be seduced by theAmericanized gospel.
You need to stand in truth, walk in power, test the spirits
and be part of the end timeschurch that still burns with

(09:25):
Pentecostal fire.
This is not extremism, this isreal Christianity.
People, this is Pentecost, thisis the power of God.
So I want to leave you withthis.
The greatest danger from thecounterfeit spirit is not that
it looks completely differentfrom the truth.

(09:47):
The greatest danger is that itlooks almost the same.
Close enough to fool theundiscerning.
Close enough to satisfy theflesh.
Close enough to keep youlukewarm.
That's why Jesus warned inMatthew 24, 24, think about that

(10:17):
.
The signs will look real, thewonders will look convincing,
but the fruit will not beholiness.
The fruit won't be repentance.
The fruit will not be holiness.
The fruit won't be repentance.
The fruit will not bedeliverance.
Here's what you need to remember.
The real Holy Spirit willalways point you back to Jesus.

(10:38):
It'll lead you away from sin.
It'll empower you for holiness.
It'll fill you with boldness topreach the truth, not hide from
sin.
It'll empower you for holiness.
It'll fill you with boldness topreach the truth, not hide from
it.
The counterfeit spirit willalways make you comfortable in
compromise.
It'll always entertain butnever transform.

(11:00):
It's always going to offer hypebut not holiness.
It's going to replacerepentance with tolerance.
Ask yourself right now where amI feeding on hype instead of
holiness?
Where have I mistaken feelingsfor fire?

(11:22):
Now to you, the born-again,spirit-filled believer you don't
need to be afraid to talk aboutdeliverance.
Don't let the lukewarm churchsilence you.
Your testimony is proof thatGod still delivers.
Speak it.
Tell people what he's done, bring them to the house of God,

(11:46):
because when they seedeliverance they see the gospel
in power, not just in words.
You're not too much.
You're exactly what thisgeneration needs.
The Americanized church may callit fanaticism, church may call

(12:12):
it fanaticism, the world maycall it strange, but heaven
calls it obedience.
If you're listening right nowand you've been comfortable in a
powerless gospel, this is yourwake-up call.

(12:33):
Stop settling for cheapimitations.
Stop chasing a feel-good Jesuswho accepts your sin but never
delivers you from it.
The cross was not cheap.
The blood was not a suggestion.
The Spirit was not poured outso you could sit in compromise.
This is your moment to choosereal over counterfeit.
The counterfeit spirit is goingto grow louder as we get closer

(12:57):
to the return of Christ, butthe fire of Pentecost will grow
brighter in those who stayfaithful.
Do not be fooled.
Don't grow cold.
Stand in the truth, walk in thespirit, live in the power of
Pentecost.
This is not extremism, this isChristianity.

(13:24):
This is the end times churchand it's time to rise up.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
