Are we witnessing a spiritual drought in the modern church? In this episode, we delve into the pressing issue of a church seemingly devoid of the power promised by Jesus. With stark clarity, we examine why many congregations today prioritize intellectual discourse and entertainment over the raw, transformative power of the Holy Spirit. As we trace the biblical foundations for the supernatural works that should follow true believers, we question what has led to an alarming drift from authentic faith.

Join us as we explore the signs of a powerless church, recognizing that many congregations have become lukewarm and complacent, thriving more on human wisdom than divine guidance. Our conversation highlights the urgent need for a return to spiritual fervor, emphasizing the importance of prayer, fasting, and a genuine pursuit of holiness.

You’ll gain insights into the necessity of walking in faith and authority, equipped with the Spirit's power to cast out demons and heal the sick, just as Jesus commanded. We challenge you to consider what it means to embrace a radical faith in a world full of distractions.

As we gear towards the return of Christ, the call to action is clear: it’s time to demand more than cultural conformity from our faith communities. Will you take a stand, renew your mind, and seek the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit? Tune in to discover how to shift from passive belief to active participation in the ministry of Christ. Don’t keep this valuable journey to transformation to yourself—share the insights with others and help ignite the fire of faith!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The world is changing and time is running out.
This is Renewed Mindsets, wherewe confront Biblical truth
head-on no sugarcoating, nocompromise.
We expose false doctrine, reveal fulfilled prophecy and
shine light on the demonicdeception of these last days,

(00:21):
but we also stand firm on thehope of Christ's return, the
call to holiness and the urgencyof true salvation.
It's time to renew your mind, for the time is now.
Let's go, boys.
Hey, welcome to RenewedMindsets.

(00:44):
I'm Rick and I'm so glad you'rehere Today.
I'm tackling a serious issue thelack of power in the modern
church.
Why do we rarely see thesupernatural works that Jesus
promised?
Why is casting out demonsconsidered radical, when it was
a normal part of Jesus' ministry?

(01:05):
Why do we talk about healingbut rarely see it?
The truth is, many churchestoday operate most churches
today operate without the HolySpirit's power.
Yeah, they rely on intellect.
Yeah, they rely on intellectentertainment, the human effort

(01:25):
rather than the anointing of God.
But the Bible is clear Withoutthe Spirit there is no power.
So if I've got your attention, stick with me because I'm diving
into what's wrong, how we gothere and what has to change
before Christ's return.
We got here and what has tochange before Christ's return.

(01:48):
Now let's start with what Jesushimself said about his followers
.
In Mark, chapter 16, verses 17and 18, jesus made a bold
promise.
He said and these signs willfollow those who believe In my
name.
They will cast out demons, theywill speak with new tongues,
they will lay.
This wasn't a suggestion.

(02:09):
It's a mark of true believers.
Casting out demons, healing thesick and moving in supernatural
power were supposed to benormal for the church.
In the book of Acts, we seethese signs in action.

(02:29):
In Acts, chapter 3, peter andJohn heal the cripple man at the
temple.
In Acts, chapter 8, philip goesto Samaria.
He casts out demons and heheals the sick, and it results
in great joy in the city.
And in Acts, chapter 16, paulcommands a demon to leave a girl
, setting her free fromspiritual bondage.

(02:52):
This was not just limited to theapostles, though.
The early church walked inpower because they were all
filled with the Holy Spirit.
So what happened?
Where did the power go?
Well, first, the church hassubstituted the Holy Spirit for
human wisdom.
Many churches today are morefocused on theological debates,

(03:16):
entertainment-driven servicesand self-help messages, rather
than seeking the raw power ofGod.
Paul warned about this in 1Corinthians 2, verses 4 and 5.
My speech and my preaching werenot with persuasive words of
human wisdom, but indemonstration of the Spirit and

(03:38):
of power, that your faith shouldnot be in the wisdom of men but
in the power of God.
So today we rely more on humanwisdom than the Spirit's power.
We've made Christianity aboutknowing Scripture instead of
living it out in power.
The church has rejecteddeliverance and healing.

(04:01):
Yeah, some churches, somedenominations, openly reject
deliverance ministry, calling ittoo extreme or unnecessary, and
others claim that healing endedwith the apostles.
But Jesus himself said in John14, 12, he who believes in me,

(04:22):
the works that I do he will doalso, and greater works than
these he will do because I go tomy Father.
God didn't change, we did.
Many believers are spirituallylukewarm.

(04:42):
I should probably add mostbelievers are spiritually
lukewarm.
Revelation 3.16 gives achilling warning.
So then, because you arelukewarm and neither cold nor
hot, I will vomit you out of mymouth.
Oh, that verse hurts.
Lukewarm Christianity iscomfortable, powerless and

(05:07):
compromised.
The devil doesn't fear a churchthat has great music, great
buildings and great programs.
He fears a church filled withthe fire of the Holy Spirit.
So what are some signs of apowerless church.
How do you know if your churchhas lost the Spirit's power?

(05:31):
Here's some clear signs.
There's no deliverance ministry.
Yeah, if demons are comfortablein your church, something's
wrong.
There's no healing or miracles.
Jesus healed as proof of thekingdom.
Why don't we?
Jesus healed as proof of thekingdom, why don't we?

(05:53):
There's more entertainment thanprayer.
Services feel more likeconcerts than encounters with
God.
There's no conviction of sin.
If people leave feelingentertained but not changed, the
Holy Spirit isn't moving.
That church has leaders whofear man more than God,

(06:16):
preachers who are afraid topreach the truth because it
might offend somebody.
Now, this isn't to bash thechurch, any particular church.
It's a wake-up call.
It's a wake-up call.
What must change If we want tosee the power of God return?

(06:42):
We must return to trueChristianity.
First we've got to repent andseek holiness.
The Holy Spirit doesn't dwellwhere sin is embraced.
We need holiness, notworldliness.
We need to return to fastingand prayer.
Jesus said in Mark 9, 29,.
This kind does not go outexcept by prayer and fasting.

(07:06):
Want power?
Then seek God like never before.
Preach the full gospel, notjust love and grace, but
repentance and deliverance andpower.
Jesus cast out demonseverywhere he went.
Why isn't the church doing thesame?
We need to be baptized in theHoly Spirit, acts 1, verse 8,.

(07:32):
But you shall receive powerwhen the Holy Spirit has come
upon you.
Many believers think they'resaved, but they're not empowered
.
We need to walk in faith andnot fear.
Miracles happen where faith ispresent.
Jesus never said try to heal thesick.

(07:52):
He said heal them.
That means to take authority inJesus' name.
Listen, people.
Jesus is returning and he'sreturning soon.
The days of a powerlessChristianity must end.

(08:14):
Jesus is coming back for achurch full of fire, not a
church full of compromise.
So I ask you do you want to walkin power?
Will you seek God until firefalls?
Will you fast and pray untilthe strongholds break?

(08:34):
Will you stand for truth, evenif it costs you?
Because the world doesn't needmore weak churches.
It needs the remnant, a peoplefilled with the Holy Spirit,
casting out demons, healing thesick and preaching the full
gospel without an apology, amen.
Are you ready?

(08:54):
That's all for today, but I'llbe back with more unfiltered
biblical truth and undeniableprophecy.
The time to wake up is now.
If today's episode challengedyou, don't keep it to yourself.
