The celebration turns into a siren. Two years into Renewed Mindsets, we look at a world that feels eerily aligned with Scripture and ask a hard, honest question: are we awake at midnight, or marked by compromise? We trace the signs—Israel’s place in prophecy, shifting alliances, the surge of digital identity and surveillance, and a culture where language flips light and dark—to frame why urgency isn’t panic; it’s obedience.

From there, we tackle a necessary tension: counterfeit revival versus holy transformation. Crowds, volume, and emotion don’t equal the presence of God; fruit does. We draw a bright line between performance and Pentecost, between aesthetic and authority, and challenge listeners to measure spiritual moments by repentance, deliverance, and changed lives. The pull of Babylon—politics, economics, entertainment, and religion blended into one seductive system—gets unmasked. The call to “come out of her” becomes practical: reexamine loyalties, disentangle faith from trends, and refuse to sell your birthright for comfort.

Hope threads through the warning. Holiness isn’t legalism; it’s love expressed as obedience, the oil that keeps lamps lit when the night lengthens. The Spirit still falls, gifts still flow, and boldness still turns ordinary believers into faithful witnesses. We honor the remnant that refuses to bow and renew our mission to sound the trumpet with clarity and compassion. If the Bridegroom is closer than ever, then our excuses must be fewer than ever. Wake up, trim the wick, and ask for fresh fire.

If this message stirred you, share it with a friend, subscribe for more unfiltered biblical truth, and leave a review so others can find the show. Your voice can help wake someone who’s drifting—who will you text today?

SPEAKER_00 (00:04):
Hey, welcome to Renewed Mindsets.
I'm Rick and I'm so glad you'rehere.
Today is a milestone.
Two years of the RenewedMindsets podcast.
And as we step into year three,I want to pause and thank you.
Thank you for listening.

(00:25):
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for praying.
For walking with me on thisjourney.
But most of all, thank you fordaring to be a part of the
remnant that still believes thattruth is worth standing for.
Now let's get ready for today'smessage because this two-year
mark is not just a celebration,it's a warning.

(00:48):
We're living in the midnighthour, and the cry is going out.
Jesus is coming soon.
And the question is just likeour theme music, are you ready?
So here we are.
We're standing at a moment inhistory where the darkness is

(01:09):
thick and the bridegroom iscloser than he has ever been.
Matthew 25, 6 declares, At themidnight cry rang out, here's
the bridegroom.
Come out and meet him.
The cry is going to be going outnow.
Midnight represents the darkesthour, the point where the night

(01:32):
feels unbearable, when manypeople are asleep and hope seems
dim.
That's where we are.
We're in the midnight hour.
From the beginning, this podcasthas been a trumpet, a warning, a
voice crying in the wildernesssaying, Prepare the way of the

(01:53):
Lord.
And now at the two-year mark, Ibelieve this message is the
culmination of everything thatI've said before.
Jesus is coming soon.
The midnight cry is sounding.
Will you be ready?
Well, I hope you've been payingattention because we are living
in the most propheticgenerations since the days when

(02:15):
Jesus walked the earth.
Look at Israel.
The fig tree has blossomed, thenation restored in 1948 exactly
as the prophets foretold.
Watch the alliances forming inthe Middle East, Russia aligning
with Iran and others, positioning themselves exactly
as Ezekiel 38 describes.

(02:37):
Look at technology, globalcurrency, surveillance systems,
AI, all laying the groundworkfor a one world government.
Now, meanwhile, lawlessness isexploding.
Cities are burning with crimeand chaos.
Families are fractured beyondrecognition.

(02:59):
Morality is flipped upside down.
Oh my gosh.
Isaiah 520 warned us about that.
Woe to those who call evil goodand good evil, who put darkness
for light and light fordarkness.
Pretty much that's the newscycle in 1919.
Where am I at?
That's the news cycle in 2025.

(03:21):
And the church, most are asleep.
Many of those are lukewarm.
Many of those that aren't asleepare lukewarm anyway.
Matthew 24 12 warns us becauselawlessness will abound, the
love of many will grow cold.
We see it in the pews.
People who once prayed are nowdistracted.

(03:44):
People who once preached truthnow preach tolerance.
People who once lived holy, well, now they justify sin in
the name of grace.
It is midnight.
The cry's gone out.
The bridegroom is near.
And the question you need toanswer is do you have oil in
your lamp?

(04:05):
Or have you run dry?
Now you'll hear people sayingthat in the end times there's
going to be a great revival.
Well, let me tell you, thatgreat revival happened in the
early 1900s.
That was the revival that wasforetold.
The big revival of this time isa counterfeit revival.

(04:26):
Not every revival is of God.
Let me say that again.
Not every revival is of God.
Just because a crowd gathers andmusic swells doesn't mean that
the Spirit of the Living God ispresent.
True revival produces holiness.
True revival breaks chains.

(04:47):
True revival brings repentance.
Now today we see revivals thatdraw tens of thousands of
people.
But when the music fades and thepeople go back to their sin,
what good was it?
That's counterfeit.
We see preachers laying hands, people falling over, but no

(05:07):
deliverance really takes place.
No repentance comes forth.
That's counterfeit.
2 Timothy 3 5 describes itperfectly.
They will act religious, butthey would reject the power that
could make them godly.
That's a warning aboutcounterfeit revival.

(05:28):
It looks spiritual, but itrejects transformation.
Now look at it this way footballstadiums are packed, but no
altars are filled.
Lights flash, but no demons castout, smoke machines, but no
smoke of the glory of God.
People, this is not Pentecost,it's performance.

(05:52):
And you need to ask yourselfthis have you been swept up in
something emotional that neverchanged you?
Have you been chasingexperiences without holiness?
If so, you've tasted counterfeitrevival.
Now, if you have ever readRevelation 17 and 18, it

(06:13):
describes Babylon the Great.
It's a system of politics,economics, religion, and
immorality.
And it intoxicates the nations.
It's seductive, it's powerful,and it's global.
And it's rising right now.

(06:34):
Babylon is in our politics whereleaders legislate sin and call
it progress.
Babylon is in our economicswhere greed fuels corruption and
digital systems prepare tocontrol who buys and sells.
Just look at England right now.
Babylon is in our entertainment, flooding movies and music and

(06:57):
media with witchcraft and lustand rebellion.
Babylon is in our religion.
Yeah.
Where churches blend Christ withculture until there's no
difference.
Revelation 18 4 is God's commandto the end times church.
Come out of her, my people, sothat you will not share in her

(07:19):
sins, so that you will notreceive any of her plagues.
People, churches that partnerwith political agendas instead
of preaching the gospel.
Worship songs written for morerecord sales than for throne
room in heaven.
Believers blending astrology andcrystals and yoga into their

(07:42):
spirituality and calling itChristian wellness?
Come on.
Babylon whispers you can haveJesus in sin.
You can drink from the Lord'scup and the cup of demons.
But God is calling his peopleout.
You cannot sit with Babylon andsit at the marriage supper of

(08:06):
the Lamb.
Listen to me.
We live in Babylon.
The United States, the UnitedStates of America, the country
that I loved and served.
It's Babylon.
I'm telling you, it's Babylon.
Now, before the mark of thebeast ever arrives, compromise

(08:30):
is already branding hearts.
And this is where most of thechurch is asleep.
We talked about it last week.
Every time a believer stayssilent instead of standing for
truth, compromise marks them.
Every time they choosepopularity over holiness,
compromise marks them.
Every time they allow sin intotheir home, their marriage, or

(08:54):
their church without repentance, compromise leaves its mark.
James 4.4 says it very plainly.
Don't you realize thatfriendship with the world makes
you an enemy of God?
Yet look at how many moreChristians are loyal to their
political party than to Christ.

(09:15):
More passionate about sportsthan prayer.
More dedicated to entertainmentthan evangelism.
The mark of compromise ispreparing people for the mark of
the beast.
Yeah.
And when that moment comes whenbuying and selling is tied to
worship, only those who brokefree from compromise will stand.

(09:39):
It's just been announced inGreat Britain.
By the end of this currentparliament, you'll be required
to have a digital ID, or youcan't work.
Now that digital ID is tied tovaccines, a vaccine passport.
The world scoffed at the veryidea of this.
But it's biblical.

(10:01):
And you and other born-againChristians have sight to see and
ears to hear.
This is the mark.
It's not a tattoo, it's not achip, but your very DNA being
changed by a jab.
Yeah.
2020 was a test just to see howeasily we complied.

(10:29):
If you can't stand againstcultural pressure when it costs
you friends or family, how areyou gonna stand when it costs
you your life?
Listen to me.
Holiness is not optional in theend times.
Hebrews 12 14 says, withoutholiness, no one will see the
Lord.

(10:49):
Listen again, without holiness,no one will see the Lord.
That means you can't live incompromise and expect to be
counted among the bride.
Holiness is not legalism.
Holiness is love for Godexpressed through obedience.
Jesus said in John 14, 15, Ifyou love me, obey my

(11:14):
commandments.
And we're not just talking aboutthe Ten Commandments, we're
talking about everything Hesaid.
Holiness is the oil in yourlamp.
Holiness is the proof that youbelong to Him.
The world says, follow yourheart.
Holiness says deny yourself.

(11:35):
The world says do what makes youhappy.
Holiness says do what pleasesGod.
The world says truth is whateveryou feel.
Holiness says your word istruth.
God's word is truth.
In a world gone mad withrelativism, holiness is the only

(11:56):
mark that matters.
And in the end times, only aholy church will be ready for a
holy savior.
Now there is hope.
Here's the hope.
God has not left his churchpowerless.
On the day of Pentecost, thespirit fell with fire.
Tongues of fire rested on eachbeliever, and they were filled

(12:20):
with the boldness to preach andheal and cast out demons.
And that spirit is alive today.
Acts 2.17 says, In the lastdays, God says, I will pour out
my spirit on all people.
We are living in those days.
Now that means that the giftsare still alive, deliverance is

(12:42):
still alive, healing is stillalive.
Prophecy is still alive.
The spirit still empowersbelievers to stand when the
world bows.
And this is the differencebetween the powerless church and
the Pentecostal church.
The powerless church entertains.

(13:03):
The Pentecostal Church delivers.
The powerless church toleratesJezebel.
The Pentecostal Church casts herdown.
The Pentecostal Church comes outof Babylon.
Are you living in Pentecostalfire?

(13:26):
Or are you just carryingPentecostal history?
Matthew 25, 6 says, At midnightthe cry rang out.
Here's the bridegroom.
Come out to meet him.
We are living in that cry rightnow.
The bridegroom is near.

(13:47):
The cry has gone out, but onlythose with oil in their lamps
are going to be ready.
This is not a time to sleep.
This is not the time to playwith compromise.
This is not the time to flirtwith Babylon.
This is the time to wake up,trim your lamp, and get filled
with the Spirit of God.

(14:08):
Because when Jesus comes, there's going to be no time left
to prepare.
The door will shut.
The bridegroom will arrive, andthose who are ready are going to
go with him.
And those who are not are goingto be left out.

(14:29):
Two years of renewed mindsetshas led to this.
Every teaching, every warning, every scripture has been
preparing you for this moment.
Jesus is coming.
The cry is going forth.
And the question is simple.

(14:50):
Will you be ready?
Do not be marked by compromise.
Do not be seduced by Babylon.
Do not settle for counterfeitrevival.
Be holy because he is holy.
Be filled with fire.

(15:10):
Be awake at midnight.
This is not extremism.
This is not fear mongering.
This is obedience.
This is survival.
This is Pentecost.
This is the end times church.
And as we step into year threeof renewed mindsets, let me make

(15:32):
this clear.
The cry is louder than ever.
The bridegroom is closer thanever.
And the call is urgent.
Renew your mind.
Guard your heart.
Fill your lamp.
Because at midnight the cry willcome.
And when it does, there will beno second chance.

(15:56):
There's that music we all know.
I first heard it 20 years ago asa young youth pastor, and now I
hear it every week with all ofyou.
When renewed mindsets firstbegan, it wasn't what it is
today.
It started out with a simplemission: to teach Gen X some of
the things about God that wemight have missed over the last

(16:18):
30 years.
It was about bringing clarityand encouragement and wisdom to
a generation that was distractedby careers and families and the
busyness of life.
But somewhere along the way, Godshifted the weight in my spirit.
This podcast stopped being aboutjust filling in the gaps for one

(16:40):
generation, and it became aburden for all people.
A burden to save the lost.
A burden to prepare the church.
A burden to cry out as the enddraws near.
And the more I studiedscripture, the more I prayed,
the more I looked at the worldaround me, the more urgent it

(17:01):
became.
This isn't about Gen X anymore.
This isn't about nostalgia orcatching up.
This is about eternity.
This is about a church asleepwhile the midnight cry is
sounding.
This is about warning as many aswill listen that Jesus is coming
soon.

(17:21):
So here we are, two years later.
And I want to thank you.
I want to thank you for walkingthis road with me.
Thank you for listening, forpraying, for sharing, for
standing with me.
But more than that, thank youfor daring to be part of the
Remnant because this podcast isnot entertainment.

(17:45):
It's a trumpet blast.
It's a cry for holiness.
It's a call to get ready.
I want to thank a few peoplenow.
I want to thank my pastors, Chipand Kelly Belcher.
I love you.
Thank you.
I want to thank some producers.
Christy McCurry, you have beenon the side of renewed mindsets

(18:08):

I want to thank my charge andsometimes co-host Lauren King.
Who you'll hear on Wisdom forthe Day weekends with Lauren.
I want to thank the guys ofFloodgate who did our theme

(18:30):
music.
And all of you who are with metoday.
Two years behind us, themidnight cry ahead of us, and by
the grace of God, I will keepgoing.
I will keep lifting my voice.
I will keep declaring truthuntil the Lord says the work is
finished.
Because this is not my podcast.

(18:53):
This is God's platform.
This is his word.
This is his cry to the bride.
So let's keep pressing forward.
Let's keep renewing our minds.
Let's keep rejecting compromise.
Let's keep burning withPentecostal fire.
Because the bridegroom iscoming.

(19:14):
And when the cry comes atmidnight, only those ready to go
will be with him.
The executive producer ofRenewed Mindsets is Christy

That's all for today, but I'llbe back with more unfiltered
