Speaker 1 (00:00):
The world is changing
and time is running out.
This is Renewed Mindsets, wherewe confront biblical truth
head-on.
No sugarcoating, no compromise.
We expose false doctrine, reveal fulfilled prophecy and
shine light on the demonicdeception of these last days,
(00:21):
but we also stand firm on thehope of Christ's return, the
call to holiness and the urgencyof true salvation.
It's time to renew your mind, for the time is now.
Let's go, boys.
(00:45):
Hey, welcome to Renewed Mindsets, the podcast that refuses to
stay lukewarm.
We don't sugarcoat the truthand we don't play church here.
We take Romans 12 too seriously.
Do not conform to the patternsof this world, but be
transformed by the renewing ofyour mind.
I'm Rick and I'm so glad you'rehere.
(01:06):
I'm recording this on PentecostSunday.
Some of you are familiar withit, some are not.
Well, let me tell you, thisepisode isn't just another
message.
This is a wake-up call, becausewe're not just celebrating
Pentecost as some moment inchurch history, because we're
not just celebrating Pentecostas some moment in church history
(01:26):
.
We're crying out for the fireof Pentecost to fall again,
right here, right now, in thesefinal hours of the last days.
Let's get into it.
So track with me here.
(01:48):
Let's go back to the upper roomfrom the book of Acts, chapter 2
.
The disciples had seen therisen Jesus.
They touched his scars, theywatched him ascend into heaven.
But before leaving, he gavethem one final instruction Do
not leave Jerusalem, but waitfor the gift my Father promised.
That's from Acts, chapter 1,verse 4.
(02:11):
Now they obeyed and they waitedand after ten days of prayer
and worship and expectancy, ithappened.
Suddenly, there was a soundfrom heaven like a roaring of a
mighty windstorm Acts 2.2.
This wasn't a breeze, this washeaven, tearing right through
the earth's atmosphere.
(02:31):
God didn't whisper, he roared, and what looked like flames or
tongues of fire appeared andsettled on each of them, each of
them, not just Peter, not justthe super spiritual, but every
believer in that room wastouched and everyone present was
(02:52):
filled with the Holy Spirit.
The church wasn't born through asermon or a strategy.
It was born of fire.
And from that moment everythingchanged.
Peter, who once denied Jesus, stood up and preached with fire.
Thousands repented.
The gospel went viral.
(03:12):
Miracles, boldness, persecution, endurance it all exploded from
that single-spirit encounter.
Pentecost was not the end oftheir story, it was the
beginning of ours.
So you might be asking whatdoes this matter now?
Why not just treat Pentecostlike we do Resurrection Sunday
(03:35):
or Christmas Another calendardate with a nice sermon and a
dove on the screen.
Well, because we're living inthe days that mirror Acts 2 more
than ever.
Look around.
We've got church buildings butno power.
We've got worship teams but norepentance.
(03:55):
We've got influencers but nointercessors.
People are tired of religion.
They're dying for somethingreal.
And guess what?
So is God.
He's not looking for anothercrowd, he's looking for a
remnant, people who will hungerfor his presence again, people
(04:16):
who don't want stage lights, they want lightning from heaven.
The same spirit that filled theearly church is still available,
but most churches today aretrying to function without Him,
without the Spirit.
We have programs but no power.
We have sermons but nosupernatural.
We have growth but no glory.
(04:38):
And yet the Bible says it's notby might nor by power, but by
my spirit, says the Lord.
That's Zechariah 4.6.
You want transformation in yourlife, you want to walk through
these end times with courage?
Then you need Pentecost.
Not the event, but theencounter.
(05:01):
So this is the new, renewedmindset.
So let's talk end times, because the moment Peter stood
up at Pentecost and quoted Joel2, he wasn't a metaphor, that
(05:26):
was a prophetic timestamp.
Pentecost wasn't a launch.
It was a signal the last dayshad begun, and now we're living
in the last of the last days.
We're seeing prophecy unfoldfaster than we can keep up with
it.
We're seeing prophecy unfoldfaster than we can keep up with
it Wars, rumors of wars, deception in the church, lovers
(05:48):
of self, lovers of money, hatersof truth, a culture that calls
good evil and evil good People.
You don't need a better plan, you need power.
You don't need another podcast, you need the presence of God.
In these times, the only way tostand is to be filled, and not
(06:10):
just once, but continually.
You can't fight end-timespirits with a lukewarm spirit.
You can't battle deception withdry religion.
You need the Holy Spirit active, alive and leading every part
of your life, or else you'rejust dry bones.
The Pentecost outpouring wasn'tjust for back then.
(06:33):
It was for right now and now.
Here's where I got to gethonest.
I don't know if that's a goodway to say it, because I'm
always honest on here, buthere's where I've got to get
real.
Today we talk about Pentecost, but we've lost our hunger for
what it really means.
We've reduced Pentecost to aservice with a few flag wavers,
(06:57):
maybe a tongue or two.
And then a potluck dinnerafterwards, but where's the
power?
And then a potluck dinnerafterwards, but where's the
power?
Where are the men and women sofilled with the Spirit that they
can't help but speak?
Where are the churches wheredemons flee and hearts are
broken in repentance?
(07:18):
Where are the altars that aresoaked with tears Instead, we've
traded Pentecost for fogmachines.
We've replaced the upper roomhunger for comfy pews.
We've invited emotion, butwe've neglected unction.
The early church didn't needmarketing.
They had the fire of God andthe world took notice.
(07:40):
These men are not drunk, as yousuppose.
Acts 2.15.
That was the world's reactionat that time, because they had
no category for that level ofpassion and power.
We've got churches now where,if someone shouted amen, people
would look around confused.
We've got believers who'venever been taught to pray in the
(08:02):
Spirit, much less walk in theSpirit.
This is the modern Pentecostproblem.
We've remembered it, but we'vestopped reproducing it.
It's time to return to theupper room, time to tear down
our comfort and cry out forconviction.
It's time to stop playing itsafe and start walking in fire.
(08:28):
And in truth, so what now?
What do we do with this?
Well, here's what, first andforemost, we need to repent.
Before the fire ever fell onmount carmel, elijah rebuilt the
altar.
Before the spirit fell in acts, the disciples were united in
prayer and surrender.
If you want fresh fire, cleanthe altar, repent of hidden sin,
(08:51):
repent of pride, repent ofcomplacency.
God does not pour His Spiritinto a divided heart.
If you're chasing the worldMonday through Saturday, don't
expect Pentecost power on Sunday.
What else Ask?
To be filled daily?
The Bible doesn't say getfilled once.
(09:13):
It says be filled with theSpirit, ephesians 5.18.
The Greek word of that isongoing be being filled.
That means every morning youwake up and say Holy Spirit, I
need you Fill me again, guide me, convict me, speak through me,
(09:34):
change me.
What else does it mean?
It means we need to live boldly.
The evidence of Pentecost isn'tjust speaking in tongues, it's
living with power.
Are you sharing your faith?
Are you standing for truth evenwhen it's not popular?
Are you walking in authorityover temptation?
(09:56):
We don't need more quietChristians.
We need people so filled withthe Spirit that fear can't hold
them back.
We need you to expect the fire.
Stop settling, stop explainingaway the supernatural.
Start praying for the fire tofall on your family, on your
(10:21):
church, on your community.
God wants to pour out more thanyou've ever seen, but he's
looking for vessels that areready.
Okay, we're at that point whereI say, if you're still with me,
then this section is for you.
They heard the wind, they sawthe flames, they spoke with fire
(10:43):
.
Pentecost wasn't the finishline, it was the ignition point.
But here's the truth that toofew are preaching in these last
days.
You were never meant to justadmire the fire, you were meant
to carry it.
Many believers want thePentecostal experience without
the Pentecostal responsibility.
(11:04):
We want tongues withouttestimony.
We want shouting withoutsacrifice.
We want shouting withoutsacrifice, dancing without dying
To self, that is.
But the early church didn't getfilled with the Holy Ghost so
they could feel better abouttheir quiet time.
They got filled so they couldlive, boldly, suffer and even
(11:24):
die for the gospel.
And in the end times.
These days, we're called tonothing less.
If your Pentecost stays in theupper room, you've missed the
point.
The Spirit came with a missionto empower witnesses, not just
create worshipers.
Worship is vital, but witnessis the outflow.
(11:49):
We're not called to hoard theflame, but we're called to
spread it like wildfire.
Truth in a world growing colderby the hour.
The world isn't just rejectingtruth anymore.
It's offended by it, and that'sexactly why the same spirit who
(12:09):
fell at Pentecost is stillfalling today to give us the
boldness to speak when silencefeels safer.
Pentecost in the end times isn'tjust about speaking in tongues,
though.
It's about living holy in anunholy generation.
It's about speaking truth whenit costs you your comfort.
(12:32):
It's about being loyal to Godwhen betrayal surrounds you.
It's about staying filled whenthe world is draining your
spirit dry.
The church has to stop.
The church has to stop.
No, the church must stopchasing emotional highs and
start building spiritual altars.
(12:53):
The Holy Spirit is not a guest.
He is the God who fills, guides, convicts and commissions.
So the real question here is areyou still burning?
So the real question here isare you still burning, or did
the fire fall once, only to fadeinto the winds of compromise?
(13:13):
If you've grown lukewarm, it'stime to return, not to a moment,
but to a mindset, a renewedmindset, one that says I'm not
ashamed, I'm not afraid and Iwill not be silent.
Listen to me If there was evera time for the church to be
(13:38):
fully alive, it's now.
The world is getting darker, but the darker the night, the
brighter the flame.
Let the fire fall again.
Let it burn away our fear, ourcomfort, our distractions.
Let it burn until every part ofus is surrendered and sold out,
(13:59):
because in these end times youdon't need another motivational
message, you need Pentecostalfire.
So cry out to the Lord.
Don't settle for lukewarm, don't play it safe.
Ask the Spirit of God to fillyou again and let your life burn
bright until Jesus returns.
