Renoites at the Riverside Farmer's Market is a limited Renoites series with the vendors of the Riverside Farmer's Market in Reno, Nevada. The year-round farmer's market takes place Sunday mornings at Idlewild Park from 8-1. You can find us at the Renoites booth most weeks if you'd like to chat, share ideas, purchase merch or sign up to support the show financially, or just say hi!
This week's episode features Brian Monahan, also known as Thundercat, a leather craftsman whose booth at the market features an assortment of self-designed, hand stained and hand stitched leather goods. Some of Brian's most unique and popular items include 20-sided dice for role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons or choosing what to have for dinner, and an amazing showpiece leather dragon scale vest made of hundreds of individual "scales" (it has more parts than a V-8 engine!)
