I'm Michelle Crawford, yourhost and the founder of Rep your
State of Mind Advocacy Appareland Accessories, and I want to
welcome you to the Rep yourState of Mind podcast, where we
are going to start theconversation finally about
(00:21):
advocating in your state finally, about advocating in your state
.
In this episode, we're going totalk about the launch of this
new podcast, why I started thebusiness, what Rep your State of
(00:41):
Mind advocacy apparel andaccessories can do for you, and
why you should subscribe andstay tuned for more of the Rep
your State of Mind podcast.
Now that we're back, I want tolet you know that I'm so excited
that you're here.
This podcast has been a longtime coming.
As a cannabis health coach andeducator, for the last three
years I have been working hardteaching people how to DIY their
(01:02):
own plant medicine and tendingto my community.
However, I saw a big gap inclothing.
There were always incidentswhere people were like if only I
could tell people withouthaving to say a word, and I
really got excited about thatconcept when I finally got the
(01:22):
inspiration for the design thathelps you advocate in your state
, which is this one, the I Leaf,my State or Province design.
That design is the one thatlaunched it all for me.
Over a year ago, I got wind ofsomething that happened to some
friends of mine in Michigan, where, you know, they were
(01:44):
getting stigmatized and gettingdiscriminated against for no
good reason other than these arecannabis lifestyle people.
Well, in the face of that, whatcan you do?
You can start an advocacyapparel brand and work really
hard all weekend with yourhusband to produce over 70
designs representing everysingle state in the Union of the
(02:06):
United States, as well as everyprovince in Canada and
territory.
After doing all of that, myhusband and I were pretty tired,
but our journey had just begun, because now I need to get the
word out about these designs andhelp people wear them and, when
they wear them, understand thatthey are making a difference,
(02:27):
starting the conversation andchanging the world for the
better.
Luckily, the design startedselling to my cannabis educator
friends.
Shout out to Cannabis CoachingInstitute, where I worked for
over two years as a mentor tohundreds of students coming
through learning about cannabisscience, how to be a coach and
educator and how to spread thegood word about the healthiness
(02:49):
of living this lifestyle withthe cannabis plant.
Some of my customers also camefrom my beautiful Women
Empowered Cannabis AdvocatesNetwork family that is founded
by my friend Kirstie Chadsey ofWeCan.
I had so many people who cameand bought designs from their
state to represent from thatcommunity as well, because we
(03:12):
are a tribe of cannabis healthcoaches and educators out there
trying to make the world abetter place.
And what better thing to wearthan rep your state of mind, you
know.
Another source of shout out forme is the people that have had
me over to do some speaking attheir events, for example, the
Gathering of the Glindas inMichigan.
I'm very close to Michiganersand I met so many beautiful
(03:35):
women and men there that areclose to my heart and
repustiative mind, as well asCannaBliss in the Cat Skills, I
gotta say, run by my friendCannacoach JB and her beautiful
wife Danielle, who also runsSuperfine Social.
Look them up if you need awebsite or marketing help as a
small business.
Oh my God.
(03:56):
There could be so many moreshout outs, but the two most
important Rep Your State ofMind that cares about is NORML,
the National Organization forMarijuana Law Reform, as well as
the Patients for Safe Access, which are two charities that I,
as the founder and owner RepYour State of Mind, like to use
(04:17):
my brand to support.
So every purchase you make atRep Your State of Mind does help
me donate to those causes, andif those causes are close to
your heart, like they are tomine, I know where you need to
shop repyourstateofmindcom.

as a good owner of a business, Isaid heck, yes.
And started club rep this year.

It's our membership, where youcan be with other people who are
like-minded with you.
