Uma pesquisa da Unicamp apontou que a gravidez não planejada responde por 65,7% dos casos do Estado de São Paulo. O levantamento ouviu 534 mulheres – todas gestantes e residentes no estado.
Os resultados do estudo também indicaram relação entre vulnerabilidade social e maior risco de gravidez não programada. Esse tipo de gravidez ocorre com mais frequência em 74% de mulheres negras e pardas e em 77% de mulheres com menor grau de escolaridade.
A pesquisa fez parte da tese de doutorado realizada pelo sociólogo Negli Gallardo junto à Faculdade de Ciências Médicas (FCM) da Unicamp. O orientador do estudo foi o professor Luis Bahamondes.
