What happens when life as you knew it, is completely ripped away and you have to start all over again?
That's the question we answer with our guest this week.
In this episode of Resilience In Action with Erin Brown, we chat with Kellina Powell. Kellina is an international speaker, author, life coach and advocate. Kellina is also deaf. Having lost her hearing at just 4 years old, Kellina takes us on her journey of relearning how to communicate, how her family showed up in her life and she even shares the difficulties she experienced with getting her accommodations met in university.
Kellina sheds light on an issue that I never thought about. In school, at home, or in life -- we aren't really taught about disabilities and people with them. As she states, if we were taught about disabilities and how the affect different people, we would have a better understanding of how important those accommodations are.
Get ready to dive into what Resilience In Action means to Kellina.
