Trust.
Trust that the next breath youtake will bring air to your
lungs and blood to your heart, will bring life to your being.
Trust that the leaves and theseeds and the trees and the
greens around you will withstandrain and wind, cold and heat,
will shelter the smallestinsects, will feed and nourish
(01:08):
the birds and animals, willprovide shade on the sunniest
days and cooling relief on thewarmest of afternoons, will
provide sounds of comfort whenblowing during summer breezes or
even the bitterest of coldwinds.
Trust that the leaves or thegreenery that depart from the
(01:30):
trees, branches and twigs andtrunks, and even the steadfast
and strong roots, will fall ontoand into the clay of this earth
to feed and nourish and willreturn unnoticed to us, in what
form or even when it will happen.
But trust that it will.
(01:52):
Trust that their green, theirpink, their burgundy, their
colorful buds will return andopen to the warm sun and repeat
their own life cycle in theirown time and bring forth food
and shade and cool andcomforting sounds in the summer
breezes and in bitter cold winds.
(02:15):
Again and again and again, onthe mountain sides, along cool
running streams, slowly rollingrivers and deep amongst the lush
valleys, trust that food willsustain us, will nourish us,
(02:36):
will fill us.
Trust that water will hydrateus, will bathe us, will cleanse
us.
Trust that you have enoughTrust in the bed that is there
for you to sleep in at night, torest, to meet the dark with
(02:56):
quiet resolve as you surrenderundone tasks and energies and
worries, and to greet a newmorning with gratefulness and
with hope and the opportunity ofa new beginning.
Trust that, with each breathyou take, unconsciously and
restfully, that this may be so,and trust in the morning and its
(03:23):
arrival, the sun, the dew, theclouds, the rain and the light
that might greet you on a newday again and again.
And trust in the friends thatcare for you, that care about
you, that have your back in thedarkest of your days.
(03:47):
Trust that they might be at thevery minute moment of darkest
dark in your heart.
Trust that they may be even thedimmest of light to help see
you through a troubling, painfulcavern of hurt, to listen, to
(04:12):
pick up your pieces and yourbrokenness, to be honest, to be
non-judgmental, to simply bethere, to offer a shoulder, to
cry on an ear, to listen a hand,to gently hold a heart, to
share a story or a voice tosoothe, and trust in yourself
(04:39):
that you would be there for them.
Trust in the life we have beengiven, trust that we have enough
.
Trust that we can give, oftenmore than we receive, because it
may indeed be so that in thegiving we actually do receive so
(05:05):
much more Trust in this Trust, the faith that you have for this
life you are living, the faithand the belief and the love and
affection that you have forothers and, most importantly,
the faith and love and affectionand belief that you have in
(05:29):
yourself.
Trust in the very next breathyou take, and the next, and the
next and the next, and, whenthere are no more breaths to be
taken, trust that all is welland trust that the life you led,
(05:54):
in gifts, small and large, ingiving and in taking, in the
work you did, in the love youexpressed, in the mistakes that
you made, in the lessons learned, in the smiles that you created
, in the care that you offered,in the hands that you held
(06:18):
softly and in the ways that youlistened and comforted, will all
be remembered, will all becherished and will be continued
to be nourished and spread byothers, like the leaves falling
(06:39):
off into the clay of this earth, finding new life and springing
forth again from the branches, the twigs, the trunks and the
roots along their riverbeds, atop the mountains, nestled deep
in the valleys, cradling thestreams, and in the hearts of
(07:02):
others, of loved ones and allthose dear to you Trust this to
be.
