Police are a critical responsibility of local government and have our full support. Along with Fire and roads that is the only functions they MUST support. Unfortunately the township budget gets spent on non-essential endeavors. Colerain Township had a Police Levy on the ballot in November last year that lost 56/44. There was no opposition at the time to the levy, voters just cannot afford more taxes. Instead of assessing what level of tax is required, two of the trustees decided to place an even higher levy on the March ballot!
