(00:00):
At the start of this year, we switched
to a live una recording format for our
episodes and started broadcasting on Youtube.
Then I got really busy. So 6 of
these episodes actually never made it to the
podcast.
The good news is we've uploaded all 6
episodes for your summer listening pleasure, so please
enjoy
retro game redux, the lost levels.
(00:23):
This week on the show gonna talk a
little bit about video games and mental health
and the benefits of such. And also a
little bit about video game d remakes, which
is what happens when you take a modern
game
and retro retroactively reinvent it for a retro
games system.
Hope you enjoy.
(01:04):
Welcome back to the Retro game Redux podcast
is episode 19.
My name is Scuba, and I am joined
as always by Curb.
Curb. How are you doing, man? I'm doing
great. It's a wonderful day to be podcasting
with my favorite friend.
How's it going for youth scoops? It's going
okay. I just finished 5 hours of playing
(01:24):
dark souls on stream. So I'm a little
bit burnt out, but
I think I have a podcast in me.
So what... We're gonna get through it.
Alright.
Alright. Yep. Yeah. So, lots to talk about
this week. So what we're gonna talk about,
couple things Curb has a bit on video
game D remakes. And if you don't know
what those are,
(01:44):
prepared to be surprised.
I'm certainly looking forward to learning a bit
more about that.
We also have a little thing. I want...
I just wanna talk a little bit about
video games and mental health because I think
that's a cool thing to do. And
you know, not not so much a
like, a
from from a learning point of view, but
from an experiential point of view. I'd love
(02:06):
to talk about how video video games, especially
retro video games can help us
through
mental health troubles
And,
you know, we'll talk more a bit about
Curb latest obsession with,
f 0 custom.
And and who knows what else?
Who knows what else? Curb,
(02:26):
anything you wanna start with? I'm, I'm gonna
let you go first this week.
Well, and let's start off with a bit
of good news.
Nice. So we all need something... You've probably
heard of the name Ko condo.
Would I be would I be... Nope. Never
heard of the guy. Is that some?
Is he a plumber?
(02:46):
No, but he's very associated with 1. Ko
Con is the legendary composer
of the Mario,
super Mario brothers games,
as well as the music
for the legend of Zelda series. Did he
write Denim Denim, Denim?
Yep. But he sure did.
I love that that. I love that 1.
Well, it's a bit of fun... It's a
(03:07):
bit of great news to celebrate this wonderful
wonderful man. He has been selected,
for the 20 seventh dice awards hall of
fame
induction.
And the dice awards are the design innovate,
create entertain.
That's what it stands for. It's a part
of the academy of interactive arts and sciences,
(03:29):
which helps promote, you know, video games and
in their accolades.
And so
Ko Ko will be joining several,
very famous,
ind into hall fame, including,
his fellow,
Nintendo
friend. She got a mi who was the,
the first to be ind into the hall
of fame.
(03:50):
Wow,
Yes. So, that is going to be held
in actually a couple of weeks on February
fifteenth, literally, the date before my birthday
on the on the Ig
live channels.
Very cool. I yeah
III often pick picture, like, Ko Condo and
(04:12):
mia mo just like, hanging out half a
beer together. Was like, both for a long
time that's kinda what it... What it was
happening too. He's been...
He's been...
Still is, an employee at Nintendo.
Longer than I've been alive, and I'm 38
years old.
He joined the company back in 19 84,
(04:33):
and he hasn't left. It's been a lifelong
career from for Ka On.
What do you... What is he doing at
this point? Like, is he right? Is he
still writing music?
Absolutely.
If you've played Super Mario wonder, you're still
hearing his work.
No way. That's amazing. Yes. I Like, I
knew that he had something to do with
Lu, but, like,
(04:53):
you know, at some point, it's, like, maybe
you'll write the melody and somebody else is
gonna flesh out the tune, but it's nice
to know. He's like, he's doing... He's still
working. That's that that's a... That would be
my dream as to work and make music
like, into my
How old does he know?
I'm not sure. He's old.
He's he he he's getting there in his
(05:14):
ears. Yeah. But But that's it doesn't seem
to stop them for sure. Well,
congratulations. Ko.
Fuji.
So
what else what else can we talk about
tonight?
Well,
So You've heard of me, you know, having
a a lot of fun playing, you know,
(05:35):
custom f 0 tracks and and various rom
hacks that have been out there.
Well, I've been playing it a lot longer
than I would care to admit, and it's
actually got me inspired
to actually start
trying my hand at making some some f
0 tracks.
Oh, cool.
(05:55):
So are there tools that are already sort
of, like, are there sort of
programs that you can use to do that
that that have been created?
Absolutely. And I'm actually,
in the process of using said tools,
1 of those programs is called tile
Mh.
Which allows you to do...
(06:16):
Which is what I'm I'm gonna be using
to actually make the track Right.
And it's kind of basically making the image.
That'll be interpreted by the by the system.
Mh. To play the Rom hack. Mh.
So use that to kind of draw out
with a different, different, like, tile maps,
and you kinda place them on the track
(06:37):
and orient them in a way that you
want to make your track. And then there's
also a... There's now then a separate program
that you use, that's kind of community developed
called f 0 edit.
Or f z edit. I'm sorry.
And from there, that's where
you
incorporate the path that the a... That the
(06:58):
computer take.
So you kinda tell them,
this is where, you know, when you're racing
you gets the computer, the... Where the computer
goes.
And you just do it just... Yeah. You
can do,
branch path and stuff like that. Yeah. It's
actually pretty neat. Is... So is there... Like,
I've... I I haven't really played much F
0. There's, like, multiple paths and stuff?
(07:20):
Yeah. There's a couple of tracks in the
original game.
1 of the more famous examples being mute
city too. Mh. You know that circular path
in the middle of the track and meet
your me or may not be familiar. I
Not.
Part of the track evolves into, like, a
circular
oval shaped path, and you can take 1
either a left or the right path to
(07:41):
go through it. Right. And
and then there's also the track called silence.
And so you can... If you open these
2 tracks up and f 0 edit,
there's,
2 paths that you'll see if you if
you, have it show the Ai path. Mh.
That'll then that'll show these 2 d bulging
(08:03):
paths that the computer can take. And and
even on the the ti map itself, there's...
Different...
There's actually a tile set that allows you
to
give a main path and a branching path
as well.
Which is really neat.
Can you make it? So some of the
Ai goes 1 way and some goes the
(08:25):
other way?
That's that's determined, you know, by the computer
whether it takes the main or the branch
path. Okay.
And and
Do you have to do anything to to
determine... Like, when you're drawing the image,
does f... The f 0 program interpret, like,
okay. Well, this is track, and then this
is an obstacle and this is entered energy.
(08:46):
Do you have to define that separately?
No. You don't have to define that separately.
You just have to define
the path that the that the the the
cars go. Mh It'll it'll read when it...
When you're patching the ram,
it'll be a specific
tile set or a group of tiles,
where you have to put where the start
(09:06):
and finish line is.
And you'll tell the program where the start
line is,
basically for it, and then it'll go... It
goes from there. It's actually more simple than
than I thought I was gonna be
to make that.
So are you planning on releasing some sort
of a rom hack based on this or
is this is this
(09:27):
can, like, can you do more than just
make the tracks? Or is it is is
is that a separate whole separate...
Can of worms.
I think it's kind of a separate can
of worms as far as, like, if if
you mean, like, presenting it as a whole,
like pack,
like, with complete with little mini maps and
stuff and, you know,
presentation on the title screen and stuff. That's
(09:47):
a different can of worms. But that's something
I'm definitely gonna be researching because I would
love to do that.
Well,
it would be cool if there was custom
music. Too. I would love to, maybe we
could make a rom hack together. I know.
I would love to I would love to
include some, some brand new music in that.
Mh. Because the, the f 0 sound, you
know,
(10:09):
sound profiles, it's really great.
I, yeah, I would love to hear some
custom music made by for sure. Made by
user.
For sure. Well, it's funny. I've been thinking
about maybe releasing, like, making and releasing a
record
in
Sn format.
Okay.
(10:30):
Like,
I... There's this guy, like, he's a
he's like a Japanese
like city pop kind of
future fun.
Okay.
Like, guy named
he goes by Night tempo. I know if
you've ever heard of Night tempo.
Anyway, night tempo
just released
(10:51):
a record.
Using like sn sounds.
Like all... Like, basically, like,
what I would do for for Sm,
like, a more, you know, basically making a
whole record out of that, using the limitations
of the Sn chip,
the sound chip. And
(11:12):
you know, lately I've been just... I've been
trying to, like, simplify my my song writing
and just sort of get into a habit
of of of making music. But the problem
is I have so many tools
at the ready
and
I need the sandbox
my creativity and, like,
a Sn record I think would be super
(11:33):
cool.
That would be awesome. Yeah. So I'm I'm
thinking about it. I would love to collaborate
with somebody who's, like, maybe making a rom
hack and sort of make it sort of
a 2 for 1 deal.
That's my great. That's my dream. So I'm
looking for somebody, if you're out there,
If you wanna make a Ky
ram hack or something like that, and you
(11:53):
need Sn music get at me.
Yeah. So I've been doing that. I've been
doing that actually, off upstream lately just been
sort of honing my chops
at the boarding, and about to release courts.
On S w central.
Because I had so much fun doing that.
It it it's it's so, like,
(12:15):
it's so peaceful to to do that kind
of work. You know? I guess it's sort
of a trans
transitions into our next topic, which is mental
health stuff.
You know, sometimes you just want something simple
to
occupy your mind when you're going through, you
know, life's trials and tribulation, and everyone goes
(12:35):
through stress. Everyone has, you know,
bad stuff happen to them in their lives.
Unfortunately. Right. But,
you know, it's like,
video games
have become more than just entertainment. They've been
they become therapy in a way. Right?
A little bit. Yeah.
I would say a lot. You know? Like,
(12:56):
Yeah.
You know, I I never really I never
really thought of it as that. I'll tell
you my story. Like,
I guess the way I got back into
video games is my dad died.
It to put it to put it, like,
like, just like the simplest terms.
So I needed something to,
(13:18):
you know, I always say that I started
getting into video games when I started become
a... Like, when I was
when I started being a composer, basically.
So a lot of time spent at home.
But during that time, I was also sort
of grieving the loss of my dad, This
is back in, like, 20 15, 20 16.
Was 20 16 when he passed.
(13:39):
So I started watching Twitch just to sorta
of, like, take my mind off off, you
know,
the ads. Yeah.
But I found it to be, like, a
a great thing is just to have, like,
a built in community where you could just
make small talk and
you know, keep it light and just focus
on the games and have, like,
sort of shared experience together.
(14:01):
Yeah. So it kind of kinda helped you
not be alone so much.
Yeah. It's it's definitely, like, a fight fighting
loneliness thing. It's definitely a, like, a
pleasant distraction kind of thing.
And then as I started playing more and
started streaming more, I just started seeing more
and more benefits.
In the
(14:21):
realm of mental health, like self, you know,
just self care kind of stuff.
And to be honest, like, I'd... I've I've
never felt it more than playing some of
the hardest games
imaginable.
I... And I'll try and make sense of
sense some sense of that
for you.
(14:43):
Like dark souls is such a great example.
Okay.
And it sort of has this sort of,
like,
inherent
philosophy baked into the game.
Mh. So you're you're thrown into a world
where you don't under stand anything,
and You're up against,
like a formidable challenge,
(15:04):
Right, with
no guidance.
And just your own wits about you and
your...
The only thing that gets you through the
challenge is perseverance.
You know? And I guess like.
You find ways to make it easier for
yourself,
like upgrades and
(15:25):
you know, maybe you
look up some strat or you
the great thing about all the souls games
is they have coop if you need it,
Like you can get somebody to kind of
beam in and help you beat a hard
boss, for example... You don't have you don't
have to do everything by yourself. You can
always you don't have a friend that can
Have your back. Yeah. At least help.
Isn't that such a great metaphor for life?
(15:46):
Mh. You know, you're not alone and
and the only the the most important thing,
and the only important thing is
is that you don't give up.
Mh. You know? It's like we're we're
we're a room where s me sometimes, I
think. And I've definitely felt like that. Like
I've just been so down on myself.
(16:08):
And
you know, those souls games, I think have
taught me a lot about,
not getting discouraged, you know?
And if you... Always something new to learn.
Yeah. I mean, and easier said than done
because those games will beat you down, but
You know what you learn about the games
is like,
(16:30):
they're not
out to get you. They're not meant. They're
not trying to be unfair. They're just trying
to be challenging.
And,
you know, even the world of dark souls,
it's not inherently evil. It's just
challenging to try and get through it. Right?
Because it exists as it is, and it's
gonna keep existing
whether you're in it or not, and the
(16:52):
only difference is that you wanna get from
here to there. Mh. I don't know. I
just thought it... I just... Like,
it's almost like this existential kind of thing
where you define your role in that game
to be like, you're meaning in that game.
Right. Through the gameplay and through your own
experience.
You know?
You're right. Yep. It's it... It's... It at
(17:14):
the the challenges there before houston just out,
how would you like to approach it? You
know, what do you... How do you want
to
Mh. How do you how do you want
to to to play it? How do you
want to get past it? What what are
you gonna do?
Yeah. So that's what... That's 1 example I
can think of. But the other example I
can, think of, like, lately that's really been
helping me
(17:35):
is, I started
I started relearn learning the contra speedrun.
So... Oh, okay. Kinda come back to this
to contra speedrun. Again. Yeah. And you know
what? I'm gonna put up some video
of my of my play.
Because
you're gonna see what it's like to actually
run contra, it's like, like, when you're starting
(17:56):
from from from scratch, it's like,
as as I am in, like, you know,
3 years, you know, for for those who
don't know 3 years ago, I was trying
to
break
sub 11 in contra contract, which would be
sort of top 100
speed kind of thing.
And
I got it down to 11:13, but never
(18:17):
cracked 11.
And sorta of gave up just because I
wanted to focus on other stuff,
but,
really, I would love to get back to
it. Like, and it's always been sort of,
like, calling me in the background.
Mh. So it was because of retro achievements
that I started running it again.
Because I wanna get all the cheetos for
it.
(18:37):
So this is me, like, dying on a
pretty simple
section in the first level,
But
you know, I I found really great,
like, just sort of, like comfort in
just doing the same thing over and over
again. Like, there's sort of the nostalgia of
(18:59):
it
and
just a sort of consistency of, like, yep.
There's there's jungle again.
It's kind of a zen to it. Right?
It really is. It really is. It's,
you know, just the act doing
over and over again, and and that creates
meaning over time.
(19:21):
Same as dark souls, I guess. Yeah. So
would you say this is kind of a
a game that kinda gives you a bit
of zen when you need a a bit
of call?
Yeah. This is 1 of them. This is
1 of them. Slay this spire has also
been really good for that, lately, playing a
lot of that.
I really like these card based games.
Lately. I wanna do more of them.
Nice. Yeah. For me, you know, a a
(19:43):
game that I'd I like to play when
I need some zen time.
It's kinda out there. It's a,
power wash simulator.
That makes so much sense actually. Like, yeah.
It's not fair at all. It's like, just
washing washing stuff. Yeah. You don't have to
do it by yourself too. You can do
a coop op.
With power or simulator.
(20:04):
You don't have to wash alone. You don't
have to you don't have to clean by
yourself.
Share your chores with your friend.
You'll never wash alone. Isn't that how the
song goes? Yeah. You can and all you
can do, you can just lose your off
in in the
in the moment. You know. And I think
that's kinda what video games can do is
(20:25):
provide that sense of calm that you might
otherwise have not realized you needed.
I I think that's a a beautiful thing
where you can escape even reality just a
little bit
allows you to kind of immerse soften something
that isn't, you know, your mind, you know,
and distract yourself. And I think that something
that,
not only Retro games can provide,
(20:48):
but I think modern games also. Yeah, has
a place with modern video games as well.
But I think I think it's more powerful
with with retro video games because it's not
only
come, you know, combining
that zen that video games have, but also,
there's also some nostalgia bringing you back to
a simpler time, especially if it's a game
(21:08):
that you played when you were when you
were younger, and I think that'll that'll just
provide that.
U. Nice dopamine boost of And that you
might... That you might have needed.
I can already imagine what yours are.
Oh, yeah. Super Mario Rpg. Oh, yep. That
is... That is 1. Maybe some Dk.
(21:29):
Donkey County Crunch is up there. Yeah. Another
1.
And this is an odd 1. Do you
remember I don't... If it it was a
Nes game called 3 d world runner?
I don't know that 1. No. Okay.
It's kind of a quasi
3DS,
your...
Do you remember space har? Oh, yeah. I
(21:51):
love space har. Yeah. Kinda of that running
forward kinda of game.
Yeah. You're kinda run running through different obstacles
and stuff.
I never owned the gain.
But I always found at mesmerizing when I
watch, like Cousins,
play the game run Retro Tv. And if
it's just, like, I can get lost, watching
(22:11):
them play at all all day. If it's
just... You know, and I... And then I
I'd play it later, and I found that
man, this is not only, you know, bringing
back memories, but it's obviously pretty cool to
just to just play, you know, mindless.
It's really nice. Mh.
Well, and here... Here's to
here's to welcome distractions I I think the
1 thing, you know, to to know to
(22:34):
to note is it's all about balance. Right?
It's like, Right. If if your mental health
regime consists of only playing video games.
It it can be... It can work against
you, you know?
Mh. So.
Yeah. If I might add 1 last thing,
please, anyone if there's anyone out there who's,
you know, definitely having some, you know, you
(22:55):
know, mental health issues, Please always, I always
encourage you to see a head mental health
professional.
They can help you get on the right
track.
I know it's been helping me a lot
with, you know, with seeing a therapist. Heck
yeah. It's been doing a little world of
good for me. And I I believe firmly
believe that I can do a world of
good for you out there as well. If
if this were a sponsored podcast, this is
(23:16):
where the Better health segue would come.
Right?
But instead, we're just gonna say to seek
out whatever works for you.
Just know that there's help for you, no
matter what you're going through
because,
you know, you're not alone. You're not the
only 1 who's
gone through a an issue sometimes, and,
(23:40):
you know, there's support for you.
And and, you know, hopefully, video games are
a healthy part of that,
because the... They've totally helped me you know,
like, I I...
I'm... I I felt like, you know, there
was such a stigma
on it.
When I was growing up, you know, video
games were there to rot your brain and
(24:00):
to right burn your eyes out. And while
I feel like they have made my vision
worse in the last 3 years.
And it's definitely not that I'm getting old.
I definitely think that they've been
like, a huge benefit.
So so... As with everything of life always
in moderation. Yeah. Yeah.
(24:23):
Do you wanna talk about video game d
remakes?
Oh, yes.
Let's go back to that other video that
we were watching
before 4.
Yes. Where is it? Super smash land What
is... What the heck is this super smash
land? All of those.
So
super smash land specifically itself is
(24:44):
this what's done as a video game D
make.
This 1... It looks like.
Yeah. It's like... It looks like a game
boy with, you know, the green, you know,
dot matrix screen everything.
This 1 was actually made by Dan 4.
Who also developed another pretty famous game in
the finding community called Rifles rivals of Ether.
(25:06):
I don't know if you've ever heard of
that game. No, I never.
Now,
think of, like, Ra H in a way.
You may have heard of that. No. Nope.
Oh, well, that's fine.
I think you're gonna start to slowly realize
that you... If you throw a reference out
there of any kind.
Mh. I'm never gonna get it. We have...
We... Well, maybe someone our little so little
(25:28):
shared experience, which is what makes this podcast
great.
Alright. Right. Alright. Well, anyway,
but, yeah, he he develops
this,
super smash land.
It's still available for download. You can get,
you know, super smash dot com. If you
wanted to check it out.
(25:49):
It's not it's not a rom hack. It's
like an actually it's like a executable, you
know, game by itself. So, yeah, it's not...
Is it's not a wrong. So this is
just a this is just a game that
you would play on your on your computer.
That's correct. Mh. Okay. Interesting. Yeah. So the
basic con concept of video game mix is
(26:10):
that you're taking a video game
and your
essentially, quote unquote, d making it in the
style or limitation of an earlier console,
including, you know, adapting stuff like,
graphics,
you know, controls, etcetera.
You know, and it
it also implies, like, you know, it this
(26:32):
does not include ports you know, to a
more simpler system,
like, say, like, killer instinct for the game,
which I actually own and play as a
kid. Right.
That's a different thing about itself. Now,
There been some pretty
infamous examples,
you know, And if I were to ever
(26:53):
tell you that plate that blood borne was
released for the playstation, you might get confused
at first because it's, like, It's already been
released on Playstation 4.
No. I've I've heard this 1 actually.
1 blood.
Placed blood borne Ps x is what I'm
referring to. Yep.
Yeah. Complete
you, complete with the graphical jitter
(27:16):
of the, of the playstation era
with the pseudo 3 d, you know, d
that you you you've seen.
Super... They also,
the developers also mapped the controls to, like,
an actual Ps s 1 controller and not,
like, a Ps 2 dual shock or anything
like that? Yes so no so no analog
stick. No analog stick. Yeah. Yeah. That sounds
(27:39):
amazing and horrible at the same time.
Right? Next shop, dark souls for dos. Mh
Right. And there's even
there's even d that have been,
there's something you might not expect. You ever
heard of a peak... You've may or may
not have heard of pico 8.
Do you ever heard? Is the the the
(28:01):
like the like, the Pro Celeste game. Right?
Yeah. It's Celeste actually started as a Pico
8 game. Pico Yeah. Pico 8 is a
a virtual,
thinking for, like, virtual machine. Yeah. But, yeah.
So celeste started out as that. And actually,
you can play the original pico version of
that in the game itself is included as
(28:22):
an Easter egg. That's super in the hotel
section. That's super cool. Speaking of the celeste.
You wanna talk about Celeste 64 Did we
talk about that already?
No. That we have not, but I've been
enjoying the absolute, you know,
The absolute fun that it is. Yes. Yeah.
I watched Jimmy play that on Friday and
(28:42):
I've seen you play that. Yeah.
So great. It's so great. It's just like...
It it has even got, like, the... When
you get a strawberry, it's got the sort
of, like, star animation, like, in M 64.
Yeah.
And and, you know, for those wondering,
it was actually developed by that this actual
Celeste team.
(29:02):
The virtual developers made this version as well.
So it was actually released a couple weeks
ago. It's a recent.
And where can you get that?
You can.
Where I found it was under... On the
Celeste teams Twitter, and I forget. Mh.
What what only was? It's it itch dot
io o. I think so actually. I think
(29:23):
you can find it on h dot I
o. Yeah. Cool. And it's free too. Right?
Absolutely free. You know, free free release to
the public. Yeah.
Very cool. Very cool Well.
I'm I'm terrible at Mario 64, but I
definitely wanna try it at some point. Have
you have you... How far have you got
in the game? Is it very big?
(29:44):
The Sal celeste 64 not that big. Mh.
There's only about I think, about 25 str
to get.
Okay. But it's it's quite challenging. It's kind
of a,
oh, like, an over overall, and then the...
There are the b sides or seaside cassette
tapes. And when you when you find those,
(30:04):
it transports you into kind of a, like,
a meeting game not a mini game. But
kind of a mini
dimensional pocket, kind of AAA level where you
can... It's kind of a bit of a
a challenge.
To get 1 of the str.
Cool. Well, I yeah. I'm I'm very curious
(30:25):
on that, and
You know, I've I've been seeing all these
all these new sort of, like, retro,
like, standalone games pop up, like, like, this
this smash 1 looks amazing.
I think this is the smash that I
would play if I played Smash.
Yeah.
You know more.
It's it's because I'm not used to all
(30:45):
those, like, crazy fast animations. Like, this is
slow, and I can understand it. It is
very limited pick So you. Actually, this is
actually a little bit slower than the actual
gameplay is.
I did not run this in full screen
when I recorded this. So it's actually a
little bit slower, but not by that much.
So you'll still enjoy it. This game actually
(31:07):
added in a, a brand new character. They
added of Vapor por
as a playable character. Is that that's a
pokemon. Right? And is a pokemon.
I I just got 1 of those cards
I'm I'm getting pretty close to
to having...
Like, well, I'm not close to the master
(31:27):
set, but I have
Basically, all of the easy to get cards
in my Pokemon 01:51
pursuits.
Very nice.
And the only ones that I don't have
are the very expensive ones, which are super
rare, and Realize what a scam it is
now.
Like, it's just, like, would you like to
(31:48):
print some more money? Okay. Let's have 1
of these cards be worth a hundred dollars,
and
you'll never get 1.
Unless you buy, like, aren't a a chance
in a particular box at or... Well, you
know, even if you buy a box, there's
no guarantee.
This is sure. You know? It's it's like,
I've... IIIIII
(32:09):
hesitate to to say how much
how many packs I've opened
Right. But it's been fun little pursuit,
and, I I really dig it.
I almost kinda wanna learn how to play
the card game now.
Because I love the spire, and it's sort
of, like, I'm sure it's, like, sort of
a similar
similar thing, but I don't know.
(32:30):
Yeah. Yeah. She's Jimmy is in the chat.
Says gambling at its finest.
Gambling got finest. Along.
Yeah.
Yeah. It's gambling for kids.
But, yeah No. I've actually played the the
Pokemon card game.
On an offer pretty... Number of years.
(32:51):
That's not that hard to pick up honestly.
Well, I will, I might try it out.
I mean, I have all these extra cards,
all these Right. Like,
worthless cards.
They're just, like, oh, I have 7 of
these now.
In fact, they've actually been some,
Pokemon trading card gain,
video games released the years. So if you
(33:11):
ever... Oh, yeah. I saw that. Something... Oh,
there you go. Yeah. See where I've unlocked
va por.
Cool. Cool. And then the age yeah in
super smash. Sorry. I was just
we're... For those on the on the podcast
side of things on the audio only, You
know, if you check out, our Youtube page.
You could see where we're where we're we're
(33:32):
also kind of watching
the video game plan that I recorded for
super smash
mh.
What else
do we got? Anything else you wanna talk
about. Like, I don't really have that much
this week. I've just been sort of busy
with life stuff. I'm starting to look for
a new apartment.
Oh movie in April.
(33:54):
It's going okay. You know, just getting going.
Wanna find a place with a big enough,
you know, room to have some gaming setup
up in there. Mh And, also my studio,
and
you know, maybe maybe they get combined again.
They're in separate rooms now, but,
I'm thinking about combining them into 1 big
old
(34:14):
sm,
if you will.
Well, best of luck with that. I hope,
you know, when you do find a place,
so hope it's the right 1 for you
and best of luck when with the move
man.
Alright. Well, it's not till April, but I
guess that'll be here sooner than we think.
Anything else you wanna say Curb?
(34:36):
No. Not that I can think of at
this time. Okay. Well, let's call it a
short, because we've done in some long e's
in in recent
in recent episodes. So this will be a
short and sweet 1, But we'll be back
next week. Hey, maybe Jimmy wants to come
on next week, who knows?
Yeah yeah.
Until then though, I just wanna say, take
(34:56):
care of yourself, and as always keep on
gaming. Well, thank you so much. And take
care of yourself 2 as well and everyone
not there and keep on Gaming.
