With his hypochondriac best friend Cameron Frye and his girlfriend Sloane Peterson, Ferris embarks on a wild adventure through Chicago — while dodging the suspicious Principal Rooney, his furious sister Jeanie, and his parents, who think he’s home sick in bed.
What unfolds is a blend of clever trickery, slapstick comedy, and some surprisingly emotional moments that made this film more than just a teen romp — it became an anthem for living in the moment.
