This week on the show, Jared gives a run down of the gear he keeps in the car to be prepared for as much as possible without compromising all of the cargo space. Jared drives a full size SUV, so there is a fair amount of space available for all these items. If you are in a smaller vehicle, you will likely need to pare down the items you pack, and it is perfectly expectable that everyone will carry a bit different variety of items! We will avoid giving the full rundown of everything Jared packs in the car, as it is all mentioned in the episode, but we would like to offer some of the most critical items:
toilet paper, jump starter, tire inflator & plugs, power inverter, change of clothes, light source, med kit (visit Interview 9 or Interview 10 for suggestions on how to fill your med kits), means of self-defense
It is also a good idea to carry caution cones or road flares to draw attention to your vehicle if you end up off the road or in a narrow pass.
