Speaker 1 (00:00):
Better music for a better work day. Y one O
two five, Rick Rush and friends. Time to get you
the low Country load down? Here we go. Wait, when
is that? Who's coming to town? Keeping you plugged in?
What's happening right now? Wait? What's going on?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Here's your low Country lowdown with Palmetal Life Emily Z.
All right, ray well, Happy Gallantine's Day to you?
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Tell me what that is again? I'm not sure what
Galanty's Day.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Is, So basically Gallentine's Day. People usually say it's the
day before Valentine's Day. So it's a day dedicated to
celebrating the fellow ladies in your life, so spending quality time.
It's drinking a pink cocktail, it's eating a cookie, it's
going shopping, it's listening to Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Is it for women? Is this a women's only event
with other women who don't have men? Or because I'm
already celebrating the woman in my life on Valentine's Day,
are you saying I need to celebrate her on Gallantine's Day? Two? No,
it's really just.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
The thing that the girls do, so you don't really
have to worry about this.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
It's good to never mind. It's good talking to you
this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
No, it's good to be aware of this. I went
to a little Gallantine's get together over the weekend, and
it's just it's just fun to get the girls together.
Everybody's wearing pink, everybody's excited.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
And wait, hold up, hold up, what so Gallentine's Day
is today? But you already went to some sort of
Gallentine's Day thing over the weekend because we.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Kind of celebrate all month long, because your gals is,
really we deserve more than just one day. It's all
month type, you know what.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
I'm going to go along with you on that because
I don't want all the Gallantines people to just start
sending emails to my balls and stuff Valentine's Day.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
No, it's it's a really fun thing for the girls, right.
So we love to be girly in our different ways.
So the Low Country is celebrating in all different ways.
So there's a candle making class tonight at Charleston Candle Company.
Stripe Pig Distillery in North Charleston is hosting a Gallantine's
karaoke tonight, which I feel like will be really fun.
Brady and the Fox is doing a cocktail class, so
there's all different types of ways to celebrate. And I
(01:55):
think that the karaoke on that'll be fun because especially
if you know, like you want to get those emotions
out all the man had and so fun. Yeah, I
like that idea. So what would be I'm trying to
think of, like what it would have to be.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
All Taylor Swift driven, all Sabrina Carpenter driven, like.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yes, the pop girlies.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yes, and you could get like four or five of
your girls up there and be Spice Girls, and I
mean just the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
I did Spice Girls for Halloween one year. Yeah, yeah,
my friends would love that.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Well great, Well it sounds like you guys will have
a good time because I would be so miserable for
any of the things that you just mentioned.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
No, because it's not for you exactly.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
That's what I'm saying. I'm glad that I don't have
to participate in Galentine's Day.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Yeah, that's what I'm here for to educate you in
the girlhood that you should know about.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Thank you so much, because I'm pretty sure if I
had to go make candles, I would not be celebrating
Valentine's Day tomorrow.
