SPEAKER_00 (00:31):
Coming up in this one.
Be honestly, I'm a littlenervous.
A little bit.
You know new things.
New editing.
New video software to worryabout.
That's okay though.
It's okay.
It's important to be vulnerablewith you guys, and I appreciate
you guys sticking around withit.
Don't worry though.
Same bar energy, same groupchat, disguised as a podcast.

(00:54):
All the stuff you love to talksome shit about.
We got a lot to cover.
So let's break it down.
First things first, Giants.
They give the kid a chance.
They're giving it to him.
Gable realizes his job is introuble, and uh he's gonna start
the kid for the rest of theseason.
So we'll see how that breaksdown.
And the Jets, oh boy, don't getme started.

(01:16):
Same old Jets no more.
Yeah.
Aaron Glenn hate to break ittoo.
We are the same old Jets.
We're 0-3.
Going against another 0-3 teamon Monday night.
They traded for a corner.
Maybe that helps the secondary alittle bit, but I think it's
more of a band-aid than anactual fix.
Kids are player though, Bradley.
He can play, so we'll see.

(01:44):
Baseball wise, Mets wildcard.
It is must win mode every game.
You are only up a half a game onthe Reds right now.
Can't lose any more games.
Reds are chasing you a half gamebehind you.
Thank God Arizona stinks.
Uh it's it's not looking pretty, and especially having to go to

(02:05):
Miami to finish the season.
They're doing their best 07impression for the collapse
here, and Miami moved Alcantaraup to base to try and play
spoiler.
Yankees, congratulations, youclean.
Proud of you popped thatchampagne.
You guys look dead in July.
So now the key question is doyou wrest them guys or do you go

(02:26):
for the full division win?
Because it's still in play forsure.
Around the MLB, um Riley goesfor 60, which is a historic
number on its own.
Even chasing Judge's 63 record,and he's a catcher, and he's a
switch hitter.
The Guardians surge back and goafter the limping Detroit

(02:46):
Tigers.
Drop 15 games.
16.
And the Phillies clinch up thefirst overall seed, get the bye.
Couple NBA quickies too.
Brunson closes the door on sips.

(03:09):
Josh Hart says he has to playwith a splint on a shooting end
for the rest of the year.
We'll see how that goes.
And then we'll mix in somefantasy picks.
Some panic meter stuff, some QBpickups, maybe some tight end
darts you can throw around theleague because God knows tight
end is so weak.
And then last but not least,we'll roll into rolling the dice

(03:29):
with Rice, the gambling side.
We'll own last week's losses andtry to give you some winners for
this week.
We got a whole bunch of cover.
Thanks for sticking with me.
You guys are gonna enjoy thisshow.
Let's get right into it.

SPEAKER_01 (03:44):
Tranquility base here.
The Eagle has landed.

SPEAKER_00 (03:55):
Alright.
Let's uh let's talk ball.
And New York is the headline.
The quarterbacks are thestoryline for both teams.
We're starting it off with theGiants because they finally did

(04:15):
what every fan was clamoringfor, and every media personality
was clamoring for, whether itwas the right move or not.
I talked about it on previouspodcasts of should they start
him, should they not?
Should they go right at it?
Is it better to go the AlexSmith to Patrick Mahomes vibe?
Well, it doesn't matter becauseBrian Daywall has made it

(04:38):
official after they saw RussellWilson throw the ball into the
end zone and off the goalpostlast week in a red zone drive.
I said that's enough.
Honestly, I think they theGiants they wanted Aaron
Rodgers, and he said no shot, right?

(05:00):
Then they wanted Matthew Staver.
They were getting ready to giveup the world for him, and he
leveraged the Giants to get abigger contract.
So then what do they do?
They go, shit, well, what wehave nobody.
We're we're getting rid ofDaniel Jones.
What are we supposed to do?
So they grabbed Russell Wilson.
And the fact that Pittsburghalone was like, yeah, you know

(05:25):
what?
We're good.
They they tried to talk toJustin Fields, but decided to
move on from him, but they toldRussell Wilson, yeah, we're
good.
Should tell you enough that whenthe Giants went after him, they
were between a rock and a hardplace.
I think they knew they weregonna go after a quarterback in
the draft.
They really tried uh all thereports were that they tried to

(05:46):
draft up for Cam Ward, who Istill have some hope in, but
we'll see how he turns out.
I mean, I think he's in a toughsituation.
Anyway, they trade back up, theyget Jackson Dart.
That right there tells you thisis gonna be the kid.
They like what they saw, theyliked his mentals, they liked
his kids got swag.

(06:08):
I mean, he's wearing thatfucking monster ghost face
chain, and he's a backup.
You mean that's crazy.
But Jackson gets the nod, right?
So now it's on to does thelocker room respond?
Do they look down because nowthey have a kid, or do they now

(06:31):
look at it as, well, we knewthis kid was gonna be in here
eventually, so he lights aspark.
I mean, I I know Malik Neighborsis gonna be happy.
Jackson would come in for somepackages the last two weeks, but
it was all run plays.
They're not gonna do that forthe rest of the season.
He's not just gonna run the ballfor the rest of the season, he's
gonna have to throw the ball.
And Malik Neighbors is gonna behappy with a live arm.

(06:52):
Yeah, Russell Wilson has a gooddeep ball, but it's it's the
Jackson Dart show now.
It's gonna be the Dart throws adart show.
And that line's gonna get old,but it's gonna happen.
It's it's gonna be his huddle.
It's gonna be his huddle.
He's gonna have to be a22-year-old kid leading grown

(07:15):
men and trying to get them tobelieve in him that he can lead
them to the quote unquotepromised land.
Look, man, when Eli came in whenhe was a rookie, and that's the
last time the Jets, the Jets, excuse me, the Giants were worth
anything, he was terrible tostart.
He lost his next six, sevengames, whatever it was.

(07:36):
I think he only won his finalgame again as a giant, and then
the next year he went in.
I mean, that's what you want,right?
You want Dart to show promisewith neighbors, with Scatabow,
by the way.
Tracy's hurt, and Scatabow isyour Peyton Hillis, Ronnie
Allslot boomer of the middle.
Giants offense might actually bepretty good.

(07:57):
Andrew Thomas is back now.
They might be able to, if thiskid can put the spark in that I
think he's gonna put in, I thinkuh I think they're gonna be
alright.
Now, are they gonna beat the 3-0Chargers who Justin Herbert has
looked like a pure android onthe field and makes unbelievable
throws, throwing, running to hisleft, throwing to his right,

(08:18):
want to dart.
By the way, throwing to uhJohnson who Quentin Johnson who
couldn't catch a cold, couldn'tcouldn't catch uh an egg with an
oven mitt.
You know, he's making him lookgood.
It's a tough break for Dart, andit's a tough schedule for Dart.
But you know what?

(08:39):
The only way to do something isto do it.
That's what I'm doing right now.
I don't know anything aboutvideo, and here I am, I'm doing
it.
I'm gonna get better, and I'mgonna get better because I'm
gonna make mistakes.
I'm gonna throw an interceptionor two, but I'm gonna figure out
how to do it.
Jackson Dart's gonna throw aninterception or three, but you
know what?
If he shows promise, especiallywith my league neighbors, you

(09:00):
guys are gonna be alright.
And the other thing too is hebrings some juice, too.
He brings he brings his legs.
The kids, he's 22.
He can take a hit, he's got somespeed, he can come off the edge,
he can run.
You know, Russell Wilson used tobe that guy.
He is not that guy anymore.
He's not, he wants to scramble,he used to scramble to extend

(09:22):
the play, and then Tyler Lockettwould get open or something.
Well, Jackson Dart can extendthe play, and now Malik
Neighbors is getting open, or hecan take off and run.
So, look, he gets the big stage,he gets a lot of a lot of Giant
fans were calling in saying thatas soon as they heard Dart was
starting, they took theirtickets off of StubHub.

(09:44):
The building is gonna be loud,it's gonna be filled with some
energy, some juice.
I don't think a lot of peopleare uh coming over from
California, the Chargers areplaying nowadays, to MetLife.
So the building's gonna bepacked, it's gonna be loud,
they're gonna be pumped up forthe kid.
They're gonna be alright.
This kind of this game has trapgame written all over it.

(10:09):
So we'll uh we'll see how thingsgo here.
The key matchup for Big Bluethis week is gonna be just
keeping Dart in structure early.
You know, get the jitters out.
It's like a pitcher, it's like arookie pitcher when he comes in.
His first pitch is always, youknow, 99 miles per hour when
he's a 93 mile per hour throwerbecause the adrenaline's

(10:30):
pumping.
Start him early, get a couplequick slants to neighbors, maybe
a couple run options withScatabow.
Move the launch points little bylittle, use his legs in the red
zone when you have to.
And the other important thing isgonna be the defense.
If you're Dable, you gotta yougotta take your defensive
captain set aside and say, listen, I know it's not what you

(10:52):
wanted, I know it's not what youthink, but we're gonna we're
we're moving forward with thekid.
We gotta see what he's got, right?
So you guys need to step up andmake the plays and help this kid
out.
Don't have the kid down 30 to 6in the third quarter.
So then he has to pass and thenhe has to make mistakes.

(11:14):
Do us a solid, but keep the gametight, keep it within reach.
Even if we lose, fine.
You know, no one wants to lose, but if you're the Giants, if you
go, I don't know, God, I hate tosay it, three and whatever, four
and whatever, but Dart looksgood and it looks like you
solved the problem, that's whatyou want.

(11:37):
As far as my lean for the game,I think I'm gonna take the
Giants plus six and a half.
Uh we'll cover it later in uhrolling the dice with rice
segment.
But I kind of like the Giants tokeep it close.
Now, the other question is whatdo you do with Russ?

(11:59):
So he's the backup quarterbacknow, and he's a true
professional, of course, fine.
But do you if teams comeknocking, do you trade them?
Is really the question.
Or do you keep that insurancepolicy?
I mean, what did you sign Jameisfor if you weren't gonna maybe

(12:21):
use him?
I guess the third stringinsurance policy is fine.
But you saw what you have inRuss.
So now is it worth keeping theinsurance policy of him if Dart,
God forbid, gets hurt?
Or is it better off to just grablike a sixth round pick or

(12:43):
something for him to, I don'tknow, the Bengals or I don't
know, Carolina.
Are they done with uh BryceYoung?
I don't think they are, but youknow.
I don't know, I get both sides.
I get keeping him and I getgetting rid of him.
Also get when you can from whileyou can.
But look, if you shop him, he'sgonna be cheap to acquire.

(13:04):
You lost value.
And his base is only around twomillion anyway.
So I'm more leaning towards theside of keeping him for the just
in case, because look, look atlook at look at how many teams,
even last year, uh last yearwith the Jets, man, or two years
ago with the Jets, whatever.

(13:24):
Aaron Rodgers goes down and theydidn't sign a backup
quarterback, and they're stuckwith Zach Wilson.
You know, it's always importantto have that that clipboard
Jesus, that Charlie Batch, readyto roll when they need him.
And unfortunately, I think forRussell Wilson, that that's kind
of where his career has gonenow.
I really do.
I think they I think when theysigned Russ, they said, We'll

(13:48):
give you a shot, but eventuallythe kid's gonna come in.
And because you're a pro, we'llbe nice to you, or we'll give
you the benefit of the doubt, toprove that you can still do it.
And he proved he could do itagainst a shitty Dallas
secondary who allowed 450 yardsto him, and then literally the

(14:13):
next week allowed fourtouchdowns against Caleb
Williams, who has lookedterrible all year.
So I think that speaks more toDallas' secondary than so much
of the Russell Wilson era in NewYork.
You gotta protect your rookie.
So you know.
Now the Jets.

(14:38):
More quarterback drama, morebullshit.
What else is new for the Jets, right?
Well, Fields is in protocol, right, after last week.
And Tyrod didn't look badeither.
I mean, threw for twotouchdowns, whatever, but they
were late touchdowns.
Fields is practicing now.
The thing with the Jets is Itried to convince myself that

(15:00):
this wasn't going to be arebuild year and that they
actually might have had a chanceto make some noise.
But realistically, it's arebuild year and they don't have
any chance to make any noise.
So the whole point of thisseason now going forward is to
just get Fields in as soon asyou can, as soon as he's
healthy, and see more of whatyou got from him.

(15:22):
Evaluate more of what you gotfrom him, see if you have a
ceiling.
Because that's what the Jetsneed a ceiling quarterback.
Tyrod's great for 95 years oldand a paper cutaway from never
playing again.
But that's not the future of theJets.
Justin Fields might be thefuture of the Jets, but it's
probably not the future of theJets, if we're being honest

(15:43):
here.
But at least he gives youmobility.
He gives you somewhat of uhyouth intelligence.
Uh I don't know how to put it.
He he gives you uh hope, whichis what the Jets always are.

(16:04):
Honestly, they should changetheir name at this point.
Instead of J E T S it should beH O P E.
Because every year the Jets tryand sell you hope, and every
year hope goes out the door.
Yikes, dude.
It's whatever.
It's it's tough being a Jet fanout here.

(16:24):
Uh the defense has lookedJets-ish.
You know, you're never gonna getback to those Rex Ryan days.
But the secondary is not great.
It's good.
Sauce is doing his job.
Quinn and up the middle is doinghis job.
There's some linebackerinjuries.

(16:45):
They did just trade for uhcornerback from the Titans,
Bradley Jr.
And from everything I've heardfrom all the Titan fans that I
know, he is good and aggressiveand a ball hawk, but also too
aggressive for his own goodsometimes.
He's gonna give you that penaltyon third and eight.

(17:05):
And you're gonna go, what isthis guy doing on the field?
But there might be somepotential there, so we'll see.
Maybe Glenn can preach somediscipline into him.
Maybe he just needed to changethe scenery.
That's how it goes.
I do think it's just a band-aidinstead of a fix, and you guys
voted with me on the poll on theWednesday mic check polls.
It was like 80% a band aid, nota fix, but that's the Jets.

(17:29):
It is what it is.
And I gotta get on the Jets forthat Tampa game.
Okay.
You preach discipline and preachno bid penalties and this and
the other the whole offseason.
You made us buy in.
And what'd you do?
You gave the game away late dueto penalties, due to missed

(17:53):
tackles, and yeah, you blocked akick late.
Congratulations, that's awesome.
And when I saw it, listen, I washappy.
I literally I went from oh yeah, and then I looked at a clock and
I went, oh no.
Because I know how this goes.
The Jets can never make a stopwhen they need to.
So what happens?

(18:13):
Big Dick Baker comes right downthe field.
No problem, like he's done inthis past three, two weeks
before.
Swings it right down, gets infield role range, and I gotta
correct myself too, because lastweek I said Ricky Pearsall.
I meant Ibuka.
And boy oh boy, did Abuka havesome serious catches against us.

(18:34):
Look, bottom line, you gottaclean all this shit up.
Otherwise, you're gonna be 0-4.
You're gonna be 0-4 going intoMonday night, and you're gonna
be sitting at the podium saying, same old Jets, same old Jets.
Moving on to Miami for the Jets.
Congratulations, ESPN.

(18:55):
You played yourself.
Two 0-3 teams, and one of them'sfighting for their life in a
rebuild, and the other one'sfighting for their life with a
coach that nobody wants to playfor.
But Miami is fast, and if Tuastays upright, it might be a
problem.
The key to that Monday nightgame is just gonna be able to,

(19:17):
it's just gonna be tackle inspace.
Just make the tackles you'resupposed to make.
They're gonna swing HN on theside, they're gonna get Tyreek
over the middle, close, closethe middle of the field.
And if Fields plays, lean on theQB run a little bit.
I know he just got a concussionprotocol, but if he got cleared,
he got cleared.
You're on the field, go play.

(19:37):
Control the tempo, keep them offthe field.
2-0-3 teams on a Monday night.
At least it's a doubleheader.
And it's too, there's no manningcast because of it.
If I'm leaning one way or theother, I'll probably take the
points with the Jets.
If Fields is greenlit, maybesprinkle the money line.
Alright.

(19:57):
Now, um, want to get into acouple games from around the
league this week.
Just a little recap in case youmissed them.
That's why you tune in, right?
You tune in so I can keep youupdated, so I can keep you
informed.
I'm your knowledge.
I'm the guy that lets you knowwhat's going on around the
league.
So you can brag to your friends, tell them what's what tell your

(20:20):
friends, tell your friends.
Shout out Craig Carton.
So uh Ravens, Lions on Mondaynight was a hell of a game.
Okay.
And it's a it's a tough loss forthe Ravens.
Ravens one and two to start.
Nobody had that on their nobodyhad that on their bingo card.

(20:41):
But I don't think they're thatbad.
I don't think they're as bad asthey actually are.
I think they just had a toughschedule.
And now this week coming up,they're at Kansas City.
But credit where credit is due.
Uh Detroit lost a bad gameearly, week one, and everybody
kind of sold on them.
And Detroit lined right up overBaltimore's bruiser defense.

(21:05):
Whatever they want to.
Gibbs and Montgomery both scoreand Amon Ross scores.
That's high offensive power.
That's crazy.
Uh, and on top of it, too, thedefense looked good.
They sacked Lamar a bunch.
Derek fumbled again, which is awhole nother problem.
Derek Henry fumbled and used tonever be a thing.

(21:26):
And now all of a sudden he'sfumbled three times in three
games, twice in one game, andthey were all like key fumbles.
And he owned it.
I'll give Derek credit.
He owned it.
Fumbles in three games is uhuncharacteristic, to say the
least.
But it's real.

(21:46):
And now short week going intoKansas City.
Now looking forward, I want touh touch on the NFC game of the
week for sure.
It's uh Green Bay at Dallas.
Micah coming home with amountain of vitriol against his

(22:08):
former team and against JerryJones in Jerry World.
Micah all week on his podcasttalking about, you know, when I
I'm gonna look and forward toSack and Dak.
And then he also today threw outa little line that is great to
know.
It's a good little tidbit foryou.
Uh he still has his suite atJerry World.

(22:29):
So I guess in his contract hebought the suite or he was given
the suite or he had to pay forhis suite or whatever it was.
But after getting traded, hewasn't Jerry wouldn't refund
him.
He had to pay for it before theseason started, and then Jerry
wouldn't refund him for thesuite.
So guess who still has his suitein Jerry World that doesn't play

(22:52):
for Jerry World for Dallas?
Micah.
So you don't think he's gonnaput his whole family up there
and he's gonna rip Dak's headoff?

unknown (23:02):
Oh, God.

SPEAKER_00 (23:04):
Dallas' secondary has been so bad, and Jordan Love
and the Packers coming off a badloss to the to the Browns last
week.
This this be a bloodbath.
Like a bloodbath when theCowboys beat uh the Giants
40-nothing.
This might be real ugly.
Alright, that's kind of it forfootball this week.

(23:26):
There uh might have been acouple other things to maybe
gloss over here and there.
Jaden Daniels might play.
We'll see how he gets cleared.
Um Janti's run block is justterrible.
They're playing Janti is gettinguh a bad rap, but the Raiders
offensive line is justgod-awful.

(23:46):
The long of the short is uh forthe Giants, Dart gets the nod,
and I like them to cover, I likethem to be in the game, but they
need to protect the kid.
And for the Jets, Monday night,Leanne.
Listen, you're going against an0-3 team just the same as you.

(24:06):
To quote Parcells, your recordis what you're what it says you
are.
I think that's the line.
Close enough.
You know what I mean.
So Jets, go out and get a win, please.
Just bury Daniels.
He'll get fired if they go onfour lose to a division rival.

(24:30):
I don't know.
Monday's gonna be brutal.
I I could feel it already.
Anyway, coming up, we got MOBchaos.
The Mets are in an absoluteknife fight trying to fend off
the Reds and the Diamondbacksand the Giants for the final
wild card spot.

(24:50):
The Yankees clinch yourdivision, which or excuse me,
not clinch your division, clincha playoff spot.
And now they're trying to make aplay for the division, and
Toronto is doing Toronto thingsand throwing it away.
Plus, we got some poll resultsfrom this week's Wednesday mic
check.
So keep it right here.
Stay with me.

(25:10):
We'll catch you in a bit.

(25:36):
I swear.
It's just apple juice.
Well, time to talk somebaseball.
And there's only four games leftin something I devoted my whole
summer to.
I mean, I started my podcast inMarch.

(25:58):
March, I think was the firstepisode.
And that was right aroundpitchers and catchers in the
spring training.
And now here we are.
Four games left in the season.
Yankees clinched.
They clinched a team that lookeddead in July, and every single

(26:24):
person was getting ready tobury.
Congratulations, Yankee fans.
You have made the playoffs foranother straight year.
And not only have you clinched, you're now a tied atop the AL
East.
Toronto has had an absolutechoke job.
You got four games left to play.

(26:46):
The Blue Jays do hold thetiebreaker, but you guys went
from maybe being the third wildcard, maybe being the second, to
now you could win the divisionand have the best overall
record.
And you know why?
Because Aaron Judge, I hate tosay it, and I hate.
No, I don't hate.

(27:07):
I don't hate to give this mancredit because this man deserves
all the credit.
You know, I watched a lot ofgood hitters in my age.
I watched Carlos Beltran, Iwatched Mike Trout, I watched
Ken Griffe, you know, I watchedthose guys.

(27:27):
How lucky am I?
How lucky are we?
That I hate to say it, we get towatch probably the best
right-handed hitter of all timein our generation.
Aaron Judge is uh he's like TomBrady, okay?

(27:48):
He is plays for a team that Iabsolutely hate, that I cannot
stand, but god damn it, is hegood and do I recognize the
greatness?
So they clinch, they pop thechampagne, they clinch the
playoffs berth, no matter whatit is, even though they're still
chasing a division.

(28:09):
Cal Riley hits 60 home runs andmakes a case for MVP, keep going
at him.
Yeah, Judge hits 50 and then 51in the same game that night.
That's four, four.
One, two, three, four straightseasons of 50 straight home

(28:29):
runs.
Do you know who else is on thatlist?
Ruth, Maguire, Sosa, and Judge.
And two of which, while theyweren't 6'8, 270, they were
probably 6'1 and juiced out oftheir minds.

(28:50):
When I always say it, when youstart getting compared to guys
that their photo is black andwhite, you know you're doing
something right.
That's Clayton Kershaw, that'suh I don't know, whoever else
you can think of.
But that's the list.
50 home runs in four straightseasons.

(29:13):
Ruth, Maguire, Sosa, and Judge.
Not to mention the pitching iswithout Garrett Cole is doing
great.
Max Freed has been worth everypenny.
When they signed him, I waslike, oh God, they really
overpaid him, you know, but youknow, he'll be good for five

(29:33):
years, four years, not theseven.
Doesn't matter.
He racked up his 19th win lastnight.
And yeah, it's against the WhiteSox, but who cares?
That's six straight for him.
I think earlier in the season, his ERA after a Yankees loss was
like sub one.
And the Yankees have won sevenof the last eight.

(29:54):
So if you're trying to make aplay for the division, that's
exactly what you should bedoing.
And the part Poll that I postedon uh the Wednesday mic check,
which you guys should all tapinto.
You guys are all in agreement.
It's full send for the division.
It was either rest guys, nowthat you clinch the playoff spot
or go for the division.

(30:15):
75% of you said, I'm with you togo get the division.
I mean, you play this out, right?
Home field matters in uh in theMLB.
And this lineup is heating upexactly when it's supposed to.
Belly has looked great, Stantonis back.

(30:35):
Um Gian looks good.
He's a monster in the playoffs.
Who else?
Who am I missing?
Who am I missing?
Ben Rice, shout out Rice on themics.
Uh I mean the Yankees, theirpath, again, the AL is easier

(30:59):
than the NL, right?
And it looked like it was alittle bit harder this year, but
it turns out it's not.
So how do you not make a casefor the Yankees going back to
the World Series?
Game one, they walk off theWhite Sox on a bloop hit to

(31:19):
center that looked like MichaelTaylor should have dove for it,
but he didn't.
Whatever.
It's the White Sox.
You guys have like 35 wins.
Who gives a shit, right?
That's the game they clinch.
So now you figure, okay, we takethe next game off, whatever.
No, no, no, no, no.
Game two, they blast Chicago.
And that's the momentum that youneed to carry going into the

(31:41):
postseason.
This feels like a team that'splaying for October, that is
finding their October timing.
This is good for Yankee fans.
This is this is where you wantto be.
Houston is out.
They lost the division toSeattle.
So you don't have to go to theHouse of Horrors that Seattle,
uh, excuse me, that Houston hasbeen.

(32:02):
And now you're looking at a wildcard of the Red Sox or maybe
even Toronto if you win thedivision.
Hey, God bless you.
Everybody thought this team wasdead in July.
Another team that's been playinglike they've been fucking dead
since July is the Mets.

(32:25):
Oh, you gotta believe, justbelieve the amazing Mets.
Ba ba ba.
Dude, get get out of here withthat.
I I have never, I've beenwatching the Mets as long as I
can remember.
I've never felt this way withany of those teams of how I feel

(32:47):
with this team now.
The roller coaster that I havehad to go through with this team
all season, I dedicated mysummer to you, hoping and
expecting you guys to be atwo-seed, a monster, a win the
division, something, anything.
And now my Jets are 0-3, and theRangers, who cares?

(33:10):
I I Queens, we are in playoffbaseball now.
We've honestly been in playoffbaseball the past couple weeks,
and the ups and downs, theroller coaster has been

(33:31):
unbearable.
I have been through the 07collapse.
I have been through the 2000Subway series, I have been
through the years when AlejandroDeAzza was my leadoff man.
I watched Lucas Duda throw andsail that ball from first behind

(33:51):
home to watch the Royals beat mein a World Series.
I've never felt better about ateam than how I feel now.
But Jesus Christ, you guys aremaking it so hard to root for
you.
They lost control of theirdestiny on Sunday.
And I I literally like, allright, I'm done.

(34:13):
I'm out.
It's over.
I was ready to get rid of it.
And then right away Tuesday, they get it back.
And then right away Wednesday, they give it right back to.
Tuesday, Tuesday was thetemplate for what this team
really is, right?
They're a mashu bash you neversay no, never say die team.

(34:35):
They're down 6'1 at Wrigley,huge game.
Then you get a hit.
Then you get another hit.
Then they get a run.
Then Nimmo ties it up with athree-run shot, and then Lindor
sets the table, and Alvarezcomes in and sends one to the
moon.
A kid that he's gone through somuch trouble this year, Alvarez,

(34:58):
and he is the catcher of thefuture.
I was wrong.
Earlier in the year, I saidmaybe we should trade him.
Maybe we're not.
I was dumb for that, and I'llfully admit that.
This kid is playing throughinjury.
He's got a torn UCL in his thumbas a catcher, and I think it's
on his catching hand, can'tfigure out his swing, hitting

(35:19):
like lessen his weight, getssent down to the miners, figures
it out, comes back up, tears hisUCL, goes back down to rehab,
gets hurt again, gets plunked inthe other hand, fractures his
hand.
I mean, if Alvarez isn't thelifeblood of this team, I don't

(35:40):
know who is.
Somebody who says never say die, right?
The season has been a grind.
It's been a mess.
We have used the most amount ofpitchers uh in MLB history in a
season.
The bullpen is in shambles, thestarting rotation is in

(36:03):
shambles, but they just keepbashing their way out of
problems.
So just keep going, boys.
Just clean up the errors, cleanup the bullshit.
And they've been unlucky againstthe Nationals.
They should have won a couple ofthose games, but there was like
literally like uh I thinksomebody got robbed of a home

(36:24):
run, and then the other one wasuh the center fielder like
caught the ball, dropped theball, kicked it off his foot,
caught it back into his glove.
Like, if that's not the epitomeof the Met season, I don't know
what it is.
But if you zoom out, since June, they were the best team in
baseball.
Since mid-July, they've been asub-500 club.

(36:49):
And they have nobody to blamebut themselves.
Not the hitting coach.
Mendoza has made a couple badmoves here and there.
But it's the players.
It's the pitching.
It's a combination ofeverything.
The margin that we're living atright now is as slim as a

(37:11):
needle.
One catch, one throw, one braincramp miscue on the bases is
enough to make you lose thegame.
And the reds are breathing rightdown your neck.

(37:32):
For all the good you've done, you've come down to now the
final three, four games.
Being up a game on the Reds, WhoOwn the Tiebreaker over you, and
two games up on theDiamondbacks, who own the
tiebreaker over you.
I mean it's amazing that it'scome this far, and you have to

(37:56):
be better.
But here we are.
It is what it is.
I'm sorry.
Uh you won't it you won't findme like that.
It won't be me.
I root for this team until theday that's over.

(38:18):
It's not over.
The one thing in sports is thatit's not over until the fat of
things.
The Mets have blown enough ninthinning leads that I know that
that's true.
Going forward, every decisionneeds to be October style
baseball.
Short hook for starters, notthat they're going long anyway.

(38:40):
High leverage bullpen.
I mean, if Diaz needs to getfive, six outs, that's what it
needs to be.
If defense costs you, pull them.
They did it already with Siri.
Siri looked like he was fuckinglost out there.
Looks like he's never playedbaseball before at center field.
Guy was supposed to be adefensive replacement for center
field, and he took the worstangle.

(39:02):
He took an angle like a softballteam to go get a ball.
Cut.
Clean the infield throws, knowthe base stats, back up the bags
for God's sakes.
I watched Pete Crow Armstrongsteal, take home on a pass ball.
He was standing on second.
What do you what?
Back up the fucking plays, knowwhere you're supposed to be.

(39:25):
If you're gonna win ugly bybashing teams, at least be tidy.
Okay, no errors.
That's the only path right now.
The only path to success.
And uh and a quick note here, too.
Just I've been preaching it allyear.
Soto might have a 40-40 year.
Okay.

(39:46):
And his uh his error that he hadin uh right a couple days ago,
that was his first error of theseason.
Believe it or not.
Somebody who's bad on the bags, bad on the bases, is a liability
in right, and you know, isn'thappy with the team, isn't

(40:07):
whatever.
Yeah, he's got 43 home runs, almost 40 stolen bases, made his
first error in September.
Yeah.
Soto's good.
Sorry, he's not good, he'sgreat.
And guess what?
I got him on my team for thenext 15 years.
Even if he's only good for 10 ofthem, I don't care.

(40:30):
I got him.
Okay.
Lindor hit 30 home runs, Pete'sover 30 home runs, Soto's got 40
home runs.
I got out that for the next 15years.

SPEAKER_01 (40:43):
Ooh!

SPEAKER_00 (40:46):
Alright, enough with the Mets, enough with the
locals.
Couple quick things around theleague.
Uh Raleigh, Cal Rally, if youhaven't been paying attention,
uh, is making his play for ALMVP over Judge.
Judge leads a lot of thecategories that people deem
important, but again, when youstart putting your picture next

(41:09):
to people that are next topeople that are in black and
white, like Mickey Mannle, Iwould say you're doing something
right.
Kyle Riley hit 60 home run, well, excuse me, he hit 59, and
then he hits in the same game, and 60 was a moonshot.
Literally, like third deck lastrow moonshot.

(41:31):
He passes Griffey for theSeattle record.
He passed Mickey Mannle.
And he might pass Judge for 63all the time.
His odds for MVP, Judge was atlike minus 2,000 like two weeks
ago.

(41:51):
And now Riley is the favorite atminus 200.
It's kind of the LeBron factor.
The same thing kind of goesagainst Otani and Judge.
Like Otani's clearly alwaysgoing to win in the NL, and
Judge could clearly always winin the AL, but eventually, you
know, you get bored of giving itto them, like you do with
LeBron.
Somebody else has to win it.

(42:12):
This is the year for Cal to winthat.
Not to mention they clinched thedivision for the first time
since 2001.
Seattle hasn't clinched adivision since 2001.
That's worse than the Jets.
The Jets went to the playoffs in2008 and 2009, or 2009, 2010,

(42:33):
whatever it was.
They haven't clinched a divisionsince 2001.
That's insane.
What else?
What else?
What else around the league?
What else?
What else?
Uh oh, the Guardians absolutelyhunted down the Tigers for the
division leave.
They now own the division.
Uh they were down 15 games.

(42:55):
Tigers dropped eight of theirlast nine, and I think 12 of
their last 15.
And the end of September was sixgames with Cleveland, and
Cleveland won all six of thosegames.
So Cleveland now goes.
Excuse me, Detroit now goes frombeing the potential one seed in

(43:16):
the AL to maybe not even makingthe playoffs.
That's insane.
What a collapse by Detroit.
Uh Philly, foo Philly, Ungats.
Philly uh locked up the one seedover the Dodgers and the Padres,
who are both still fighting eachother for the divisions.

(43:37):
Schwarber is up to 56 home runson the year, making a solid case
for Annal MVP.
And Skeens, who has futureYankee written all over him,
finished his final start, andhis ERA is a 1.97.
And I think he has seven wins onthe season.

(44:00):
That's the youngest ERA sinceDwight Gooden.
He's the Cy Young favorite, andit's not even close.
I mean, he he's taking itrunning away.
Lastly, a little bit of news touh touch on for next season.
Robot umpires are here, baby.
And I can't wait.
I know some people are againstit.
They want to talk about um thewhole thing about baseball is uh

(44:23):
subject to the game, subject toeyes, whatever.
Yeah, that's all fun in gamesuntil you get guys like Angel
Hernandez and Bill Miller whoare absolutely terrible in the
zone.
And it's been instituted in theminor leagues for a couple years
now.
So a lot of these young kidsalready know the zone super

(44:43):
well.
A lot of these umpires are gonnaget humbled real quick.
And good, by the way.
I'm not arguing balls andstrikes.
I'm in the fucking mocks.
I know what is a strike andwhat's not.
If I get punched out onsomething, okay, fine, whatever.
But if you punch me out onsomething that I know wasn't a
strike, now I get to finally letyou know about it.

(45:06):
It's great.
And yes, eventually, probablysooner rather than later, you're
going to get a big, you know, playoff game decision of was
that a strike, was that not astrike, two strikes.
The crowd celebrates becausethey got called a strike and now
it's not a strike and theychallenge.

(45:26):
That's gonna happen.
That's fine.
Let that happen.
I'd rather the game be calledright than Joe Blow behind the
plate have a little bit of anego because you jumped out of
the box a little early on a 3-1pitch, and now the next pitch
guaranteed is gonna be a strike.
Fuck that.
Call the game correctly.

(45:50):
So what's next?
Well, Yankees finish the chaseand they win the division, or
they don't.
If you clinch the two seedregardless, so see where you're
at and then reasset, re- seewhere you're at, reassess, and
uh set your rotation up.

(46:11):
But until then, go for bro.
Full ascent.
For the Mets, well, you gotthree games left with no safety
net, going against the Marlins, who spoiled you back in 07 and
would love nothing more than tospoil you now.
They even moved uh their ace upin the rotation to start this

(46:35):
week.
Look, if you're down early, doyour best, quick hook, get it
going.
And if you got a lead late, eight, seven, three, four,
whatever, and it's the eighth, seventh, but it's three, four,
five, two, three, four in theorder, fuck it.

(46:56):
Bring in Diaz.
Get the guys out that you needto get out, and use your best
pitchers when you got them.
Alright.
Baseball has been uh a rollercoaster.
And the next time we meet, theMets will either be in the
playoffs or they won't.
And the Yankees will either wonthe division or they haven't.

(47:18):
Can't wait to see you guys nextweek for that.
For now, uh, we're gonna updatethe betting card.
We're gonna pop into the rollingthe dice with rice segment.
Talk about our picks last weekand what I got going forward.
We're also gonna touch on alittle bit of fantasy stuff, and
mix in the mailbag too.

(47:39):
Stay tuned.
I'll be right here.

(48:11):
The polls that I put out everyWednesday that you guys vote on,
the mailbag that you guys writein on, uh some fantasy picks to
help your fantasy team getbetter and beat your friends so
you can talk shit to them, andalso our gambling picks, so

(48:36):
hopefully we can make a littlebit of money.
First things first, we willstart with the polls that I put
out this week.
First on the list was uh Russ, trade or hold.
And we went over this during theGiants segment a little bit, but
58% say get what you can, and42% say keep him as insurance.

(49:03):
So just about a little more thanhalf want to trade Russ away.
We'll see how it goes.
We'll see what happens in thecoming weeks.
Uh the next was will the Metsmake the playoffs?
And it was a nice little sliderand it was at about 60%.
A lot of Met fans, a lot ofYankee fans, a lot of Philly

(49:24):
fans in my DMs.
So 60%.
All right, I'll take over 50.
They better.
I'll I'll leave it at that.
Next was uh Yankees Path.
So they clinched a playoffberth, but the options were full

(49:44):
send for the division or rescueguys.
And 65% of you said full sendfor the division.
I don't blame you.
Go for broke, stay hot.
Baseball is one of those sportswhere you don't want to rest
guys, you want to keep them inthe rhythm.
Stay hot.
Uh I put out uh Micah is back inDallas poll.

(50:06):
Who do you got?
Green Bay or um Dallas.
It was 100% with 50 votesPackers.
Not one person out of 50 peoplevoted for Dallas.
I I don't know if you guys knowthe meme with the uh Monday

(50:31):
night football curse wheneverybody picks the same team
and then the other team wins.
But 55 55 votes all on Dallas,uh excuse me, all on the
Packers.
I'm with you.
I I think uh Green Bay wins thisgame running away.

(50:52):
But 55 people.
Uh next on the list was Jetstrade for cornerback Jarvis
Bradley Jr.
And the options were it fixesthe secondary or it's just a
band-aid.
88.
88% said it was just a band-aid.

(51:14):
I I I tend to agree.
We'll see what the kid turnsinto.
Hopefully, uh Aaron Glenn canhelp him out, but this is more
of just a quick fix than a realfix.
And then the last poll was thefantasy panic.
Uh who are you most worriedabout?

(51:34):
Drake London, Chase Brown, Ashand Janty, or Ladd McConkie?
38% for both Drake London andChase Brown, uh, 25% for Ash and
Janty, 0% for McConkie.
Ladd has had a pretty goodseason so far, but not great.
Uh Jantey is subject to badoffensive line play and just bad

(52:01):
scheme.
They're running a zone schemelike Le'Veon Bell for him when
really he needs to be more in aDerrick Henry.
Here's the whole go knocksomebody over scheme.
The worry for Drake London anduh uh Chase Brown is real.

(52:23):
I thought Michael Pannox wouldbe better than this, he is not.
Uh you get shut out 30-nothingagainst Carolina, but not great.
And Chase Brown with no JoeBurrow, that means very little
dump offs, and Jamar Chase andT.

(52:44):
Higgins not uh taking coverageaway to soften the front seven,
Chase Brown is in trouble.
So uh going from fantasy panicmeter to now some fantasy
football advice for you guys, there's been a lot of

(53:08):
quarterback injuries lately, andthere have been um some tight
end inconsistencies, I guess.
So if you're hurting at eitherposition, here are a couple
streamers that you could pick upif they're not picked up
already, or guys that you don'tfeel too bad about stashing.

(53:30):
Starting with tight ends, because tight end is, you know,
a mess.
Hunter Henry.
If Hunter Henry is not picked upin your league, pick him up.
Uh his usage has spiked withDrake May.
He's had two touchdowns in thelast week, and Carolina coming

(53:50):
up bleeds tight end volume.
Uh Chig and Gonkwu out ofTennessee.
Uh uh Houston's 0-3.
They're definitely dying for awin.
It's a division game.
But I thought Calvin Ridley wasgoing to be the man in that
offense.
He has become uh Chig and Gonquuhas become Cam Ward's security

(54:14):
blanket, which every tight endseems to be for a rookie
quarterback, but he's got sixtargets.
He went five for 66 in the lastgame.
If you're in a PPR league, that's 10 points right there.
You take 10 points out of yourtight end all day.
Uh Brenton Strange inJacksonville, they're at San
Francisco.
Lawrence and him have chemistry.

(54:35):
He's trying to figure out BTJ,he's trying to figure out uh
Travis Hunter, and San Franciscohas a lot of tight end touchdown
in back-to-back weeks.
So just a quick filler, youknow, if you have some dog shit
tight end on your uh roster thatyou're not sure about starting,
a couple guys worth maybepicking up.

(54:56):
And then on the other side ofthat Tennessee matchup, Dalton
Schultz for Houston, he lookslike Shroud's number two option
behind Nico Collins.
Uh he gets plenty of routes, hegets plenty of looks, and he's a
huge target in the red zone.
So if you're touchdown dependentfor a tight end, Dalton Schultz

(55:17):
could play.
Now, quarterbacks.
There are some situationalthings that have happened that
might be worth stashing as aplayer and some injury things
too.
So obviously, first on the listof a stash is Jackson Dart.

(55:38):
Look, no one knows what he'sgonna turn into.
He might be able to sling it, hemight throw four picks, who
knows?
But when you have MalikNeighbors and even Wandell
Robinson and a good defense andCam Scatterbo, the kid is
getting set up offensively forsome good players, some good

(56:02):
game scripts, maybe even ifthey're getting blown out, he'll
have to throw.
So Jackson Dart is definitely agood stash to pick up.
Uh for the Chargers, Najee isout.
I know this isn't reallyquarterbacks, but Najee's out.
So if you do have O'MarionHampton on your roster, if you
drafted him early, definitelygoing forward, going to be a

(56:26):
great player to start everyweek.
He's just going to see so muchusage because there's no one
really else in that backfield.
Uh CeeDee Lamb fucking rolledhis ankle, killing me in a
couple of my fantasy leagues.
But George Pickens now becomeswide receiver one.
And if you had any thought of CDbeing good, George Pickens is a

(56:53):
Jace.
He's right behind him.
He's gonna get fed by Dak.
And again, if they're secondary, can't hold anybody, they're
gonna have to pass often.
You can also bump up uh JakeFerguson a little bit.
And then for the Bucks, MikeEvans is out three or four
weeks.
So Buka, if you got him, awesome.
Becomes wide receiver one.

(57:14):
Sterling Shepard might see alittle more work.
You're waiting for Chris Godwinto come back.
He might be back.
Wait for Friday, see how itlooks.
Uh going back to quarterbacks,Justin Fields is back at
practice.
If he gets cleared, runningagainst a weak uh run defense in
Miami on Monday night.

(57:35):
If you're down some points andyou want to risk it to get the
biscuit, Justin Fields couldgive you 22.
He could also give you eight.
So it's not the best pickup, butit's worth a look.
Uh as far as the panic meterthat we talked about before,
like I said, Ash and Janty, he'sgot O-line issues.

(57:58):
Um, there's no one really tosplit any roles with him, but
don't sell.
If anybody's knocking on yourdoor, don't sell him.
Hold on tight.
And uh Drake London, same thing.
Don't panic sell.
Okay, it's gonna get better.
Even if it's Kirk Cousins, it'sgonna get better.
Drake London is huge.

(58:18):
He commands the ball.
Kyle Pitts isn't doing anything, there's no one across from him.
It's just Drake London andBichon.
Uh Chase Brown.
I don't know.
If you get the right offer forChase Brown, I'm not afraid to
panic on Chase Brown here.
He's gonna have super high usageand efficiency, but Jake

(58:42):
Browning is is at so many levelsbelow uh Joe Burrow.
So the box is gonna be stacked, and Chase Brown going into the
season was the can't miss gonnahave a great season running
back, and now it kind of lookslike uh if you get the right

(59:04):
offer, sell him.
Uh as far as buy low prospects,Brock Bowers has not been great,
not been bad, but if anybody inyour league took Brock Bowers,
they probably took him at a highprice and probably missed out on
a receiver or running back thatthey wanted.

(59:27):
And he's gonna get bettertowards the end of the year.
So if someone is willing to sellBrock Bowers at a decently low
price, you should jump on that.
Uh same thing with Lad McConkie.
Lad McConkey has not bad stats, but not great.
I think he's got like five for66, 4 for 50, whatever.

(59:50):
In a PPR, that's great, that's10 points, but that's not really
what you drafted him for.
You drafted him for 17 points agame.
Uh Justin Hurst.
Herbert is a passing machine.
Big bird slings that fuckingthing.
He's gonna be fine.
If someone wants to sell him toyou for low, buy.

(01:00:13):
Um what else?
What else?
What else?
What else?
Uh a couple fantasy storylinesto watch.
Oh, here you go.
Uh yeah.
Patriots Backfield.
Uh everybody and their motherwas all over Trevion Henderson.
I talked about it in the fantasyepisode that I put out a couple

(01:00:33):
weeks ago, well, before theseason of Big Pharma.
Well, it's big fantasy, youknow, all the big names in
fantasy told you to draft himand this, that, and the other,
and he's been less than stellar,to say the least, for your
fantasy team.
But Ramondre Stevenson hasfumbled a lot, and that's always

(01:00:55):
been his problem.
And Gibson fumbled a lot.
That's always his problem.
And Mike Vrabel is a truedisciple of Bill Belichick.
Making rookies earn their spot, making them earn their place on
this team, and also notrespecting guys that turn over

(01:01:20):
the football.
I expect a big jump usage inTrevion Henderson in these
upcoming weeks.
And all it's gonna take is forhim to break one 40-yard run,
and Vrabel's gonna start lookingat his shops, and he's gonna be
in, he's gonna be a three-downback.
Uh who else do we got here?

(01:01:41):
Uh well, the 49ers pass game.
Purdy might start, might not, Idon't know, but it's it doesn't
matter.
It's Kyle Shanahan.
Brock Purdy was literally Mr.
Irrelevant, and he's made thisoffense into an insane thing,
and now Mac Jones takes over, and it's also the same thing.
Um Ricky Pearsall is locked inwide receiver two every week.

(01:02:05):
No ifs, ands, or buts.
And we'll see what else happens.
Christian McCaffrey dump offs, but it doesn't really matter
who's playing quarterback, justyou'll be good.
Uh Packers at Cowboys, starteverybody.
It doesn't matter who you have, start them all.
Cowboys secondary is god-awful.

(01:02:27):
Uh Diggs looks like he doesn'tknow how to play corner.
They let up 450 yards to RussellWilson and four touchdowns to
Caleb Williams.
That's all you need to knowright there.
Jordan Love is better than bothof those guys.
So is Matthew Golden, so isRomeo Dobbs, so is Tucker uh

(01:02:50):
Tyler Kraft.
If you got a Packers player, start him this week.
No ifs, ands, or buts.
Start him, don't look back.
Alright.
Now with the fantasy out of theway, and hopefully I can win you
guys some leagues.

(01:03:11):
Now we're gonna switch over towin you guys some money,
hopefully.
Uh this is the segment ofrolling the dice with rice.
It's our gambling picks, it'sour weekly picks.
I'll give you three games andthen I'll pick both of my
locals.
Last week's card, uh, we wenttwo and three.

(01:03:32):
I got both the locals right, butuh and three on the other ones.
The Packers, minus six and ahalf, killed everybody against
the Browns.
And I said it might be a trapgame, so instead of six and a
half, maybe buy it up to sevenand a half, they fucking lost

(01:03:53):
outright.
It that killed literallyhundreds of thousands of parlays
for the week.
I also had Falcons money line, and uh they lost 30-0.
So that was great, awesome.
And then I had Cowboys moneylineslash over.

(01:04:14):
I really was more on the overthan the moneyline, and the
moneyline, the over, excuse me,the over was 49 and a half, and
it finished at 44.
They were just short.
You know, is what it is, but didhave Chiefs moneyline Sunday
night against the Giants and hadJets plus four and a half.
They covered because of the lateblocked field goal.

(01:04:35):
So, you know.
Okay, two and three on the week, but we go forward.
Okay?
So here is the card for theweek.
First game on the list, Packers.
I know I'm rolling with themagain, but Packers minus six and

(01:04:56):
a half versus the Cowboys.
You could make this line 14 anda half.
I don't care.
Packers is gonna go into JerryWorld after that bad loss of the
Browns and destroy Dallas.
Okay?
Minus six and a half is nothing.
I don't care.

(01:05:17):
And Micah he can play it offlike he's not really caring, or
this, that, and the other, orhe's a little interested.
Micah is hell bent to destroyhis former team, to destroy his
former owner that disrespectedhim and that he doesn't want to

(01:05:38):
play for and doesn't want todeal with.
Micah might have five sacks.
I'm taking Packers minus six anda half.
I'm gonna take the over.
I'm gonna take Micah for overtwo and a half sacks.
I'm taking everything Green BayI can.
And if I'm wrong, then fuck it.

(01:06:00):
So be it.
But I'm telling you, this is thegame you make your money off of.
Hammer every prop you want.
Okay.
Game two.
Uh Colts at Rams.
Now, Daniel Jones, Mr.
Indiana Jones, has looked good.
And the Rams, Matthew Stafford,oh, is he hurt?

(01:06:22):
Is he not hurt?
Is he gonna be okay?
Puka Nakua has been carrying myfantasy team.
So Matthew Stafford and KyronWilliams and Puka Nakua
definitely still have it.
Okay.
I like the over.
Uh it's currently at 49 and ahalf.
Daniel Jones is found a littleresurgence.

(01:06:45):
Tyler Warren is probably gonnabe rookie of the year because
the other running backs are notgood.
Um, Jonathan Taylor is runninglike he doesn't age.
Daniel Jones looks like he hascommand of that offense, and the
Rams at home always scorepoints.
49 and a half seems like an easynumber.

(01:07:07):
I could see an easy 30, 30 game,you know, maybe even 24, I don't
know, 32 game kind of deal.
Over Colts at Rams.
And last game on the card isVikings, Steelers.
And I'm taking the under.

(01:07:28):
It's at 40 and a half.
I'm gonna bump it up to 42 and ahalf.
Why would you take the under inthis game?
Steelers can score.
Aaron Rodgers is a goodquarterback, JJ McCarthy, Jordan
Addison is coming back offsuspension.
They're in London.
The rule is any London game, youtake the under.

(01:07:53):
Now, next week, the Vikings arealso in London.
That game, you take the over, oryou take the Vikings.
But it's both teams first weekin London.
The time difference, the whetherjust being on a plane for that

(01:08:14):
long, the whole way, under.
Okay.
They're playing in front of fanswho don't give a shit.
They most of them wearJacksonville jerseys.
Take the under.
Alright, as far as the locals,Chargers at Giants.
Well, the building's gonna havea lot of juice for Dart.
Um I think the defense keeps ittight.

(01:08:35):
Chargers probably win, but Ithink the Giants cover their
number.
It's at six and a half, buy itup to seven and a half just in
case.
And Jets, Dolphins, Monday NightFootball, two 0-3 teams, both in
crisis.
If Fields clears, uh, I likeJets plus two and a half, maybe
a little sprinkle on the moneyline.

(01:08:55):
If not, I'll probably still leanJets plus two and a half just
because it's a rock fight andwho knows.
But either way, we track therecord, we track the numbers, we
keep ourselves accountable.
It's important for you to keepyourself accountable.
Bet with your head, not aboveit.
Bet responsibly.

(01:09:16):
Don't be afraid to call a numberif you have to.
You know, the whole works.
Don't be an asshole.
Don't bet rent money on thefucking Jets.
The Jets never cover.
Alright.
So that's fantasy.
That's gambling.
Now we close out the show withyou.

(01:09:36):
The people, the fans of theshow, the guys and girls that I
like to hear from.
The mailbag.
It's that time.
First up on the mailbag, we havea recurring guest, actually.
We have Brad and Kenneworth.
He writes in, he said, it's timefor people to start recognizing
that golf is elite, and it'stime to also respect Amon Ra as

(01:09:59):
a number one wide receiver.
Well, I uh I don't know aboutgolf being elite.
I mean, this falls into the JoeFlacco is elite category.
I mean, golf is a very goodgood, not great, very, very good

(01:10:20):
quarterback.
But elite, I wouldn't say elite.
Now, Amon Ra, Amon Ra is elite.
I think Goff gets a great boostbecause he has a he has a coach
that was a blocking tight endalmost where as like you know
good catchers aren't goodmanagers in baseball, but backup

(01:10:43):
catchers are really goodmanagers in baseball.
He's not, you know, TonyGonzalez isn't gonna be a good
coach, but Dan Quinn, a backuptight end or a blocking tight
end, is a good coach.
He's just feisty enough, and hehas that O-line eating, that
D-line eating, that fuck you getout of my way mentality with

(01:11:08):
Gibbs, with Montgomery, withAmun Ra, with uh oh god, what's
the other receiver?
Uh Williams uh the speedsterthat they have, Williams.
That's a lot of talent aroundgolf.
So Goff's not elite, but he'svery, very good.

(01:11:30):
He's good enough to make thatthrow on fucking fourth and two
down to seam, I'll tell youthat.
Alright, next up we have Clucein Jersey.
And he touches on the Vikings.
He says, is this JordanAddison's coming out party?
Because he's off of suspension.
Well, life's gonna get a loteasier for JJ McCarthy having

(01:11:54):
Justin Jefferson and JordanAddison.
The listen, Jordan, uh Justin, listen, Justin Jefferson is a
stud, but he can only do somuch.
He needs the other guy acrossfrom him, right?
With Jordan Addison back now,it's uh I would expect JJ to

(01:12:14):
have a big game.
Uh next up we have Lawrence inPalm Beach.
He says, give me your three-weekNFL summary.
Okay, well, uh Packers offenselooks good.
Uh Cowboys defense looksgod-awful.

(01:12:36):
The Chargers are 3-0 with twodivision wins in their pocket,
but lost Najee, so we'll see howit goes.
Uh quarterback troubles allaround between Brock Purdy and
Jackson Dart and Justin Fieldsand Jaden Daniels.

(01:12:57):
You know, it's always a mess.
Uh league-wide, explosive playsare doing pretty well, and the
trenches also are doing prettywell.
That's how you build a team,right?
From the inside out, you buildit from the trenches, D-line,
O-line.
Uh offenses seem to be doingwell, which is what the NFL

(01:13:20):
wants.
You haven't really seen too manydefensive games.
So last three weeks in the firstthree weeks in the NFL, chaos.
Next three weeks in the NFL,also chaos.
And lastly, we have a voicemailclip here.

(01:13:44):
Someone called into the show.
That's right.
You can call in.
If you call in and leave avoicemail, you're more than
likely to get on the mailbag.
Because I will put your voice onthe show and we'll answer to it.
So let's hear what he's gottasay.

SPEAKER_01 (01:14:02):
Ricy.
You know, this is about to getspicy.
So we'll watch McLean right now.
He's through four.
One run, that's around six one.
Apparently, if he goes seven andthird, he loses rookie
eligibility.

(01:14:24):
You let him go.
Does it depend on the score?
What if it's six one in theeighth?
Interesting to see where thisgoes.
Let me know.

SPEAKER_00 (01:14:37):
Hmm.
Yeah, that's uh well, that's oneinteresting take on the Mets.
Honestly, the Mets shouldn't beworried about their uh rookie
designations or anything alongthat timeline.
Steve Cohen, when he bought theteam, said uh in the next five

(01:14:58):
years I want a championship andI want sustainability and I want
a good farm system and promisedto fan base the whole works.
And well, now they have a goodfarm system, and they have the
richest player in the game whois living up to that contract,
and they're fighting for thelast wildcard spot by a half a

(01:15:21):
game.
So as far as rookie eligibilityor you know, service contract
time rent, who gives a fuck?
Fuck that.
No one who no one cares.
Stop.
Go win.
Go win.
Please.
1986, man.

(01:15:42):
I saw you in 2015 and you blewit.
1986 is the last Metschampionship.
I'm dying to get a Mets tattooon me when they win a
championship.
They shouldn't care about rookiedesignation or anything like
that.
Go get the best players and gobring a title home.

(01:16:05):
Go raise a banner.
Please.
I'm begging you.
We're all begging you.
Every Met fan is dying.
We're we're we're in the desertwith drops of water in front of
us, crawling to the oasis.
We can see the promised land infront of us.
But we're not quite there.
We're dying for it.

(01:16:26):
Alright.
That's the mailbag.
Hope I answered all yourquestions how you wanted your
answer.
