Lori is an American activist, member of the Broward County School Board, and founder of school-safety organization Make Our Schools Safe. Her 14-year-old daughter, Alyssa Alhadeff, was murdered in the Parkland High School Shooting on February 14, 2018. Lori gained national attention after making an appearance the day after the shooting on CNN, pleading President Trump to increase school security and gun control. She continues to work tirelessly for improved school system security via M.O.S.S. (Make Our Schools Safe) and Alyssa's Law.
