What if the ultimate action hero showdown from the 80s and 90s could settle the age-old debate: Schwarzenegger or Stallone? Join me, Fiddy, along with our hilarious guests Bob, Collin, and Dave, as we navigate this and more on the Ride Home Rants podcast. We kick off with quirky confessions about our birth months and the animals that make us quiver. Our chat then rolls into fond zoo adventures across Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cleveland, and beyond—where else can you meet a kangaroo up close without hopping on a plane?

The conversation takes a cosmic turn as we ponder the extraterrestrial with a good dose of humor, thanks to Dave's alien tales. Are we really alone, or did aliens help stack those pyramids? We also take a light-hearted jab at pop culture, weighing in on whether "Family Guy" is a work of genius or just another wannabe "Simpsons." And as if that's not enough, we give you a sneak peek into Jim Thorpe, PA, a historical gem that promises more than just coal and tales of the Molly Maguires.

To round things off, expect a no-holds-barred comparison of Pennsylvania and Ohio, from sports teams to bar scenes, all wrapped in playful banter. We even contemplate life's most thrilling adventures—from scaling Everest to the mysteries of the ocean. And yes, we try to sum ourselves up in one word, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead. Don’t miss out on this delightful escapade with us and make sure to spread the laughter by sharing with friends—because everyone needs a bit of joy in their day.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everybody to another episode of the Ride Home
Rants podcast.
This is your special guest, host Fitty, and today we bring
you an outstanding episodecalled the All Things About no
Things episode, and it is a showconsisting of us talking about
all things but yet no things.
So when you finish the showtoday, as listening to it,

(00:20):
you're going to decide toyourself did I really take
anything away from this show?
I don't really know.
I guess you'll have to figurethat out along the way.
So think it.
As people that know me, the mindof John Falcone meets Seinfeld
that's the best way to describethis show.
It's going to be a good time.
I got three great guests herewho I've known for a long time,

(00:40):
who know how my mind works.
So this is coming straight frommy thoughts over the past
couple months about what we cantalk about on this All Things
About no Things show.
Without further ado, we havethree great guests.
I'm going to let them introducethemselves.
They're going to tell you theirname, what animal they're most
terrified of, and then whatmonth is their birthday.

(01:01):
Bob, we'll let you start.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Hi Bob Neisel, my birthday month is April and I am
most terrified of snakes.
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Colin, this is Colin Pope.
I was born in September and I'ma snake guy with Bob.
I can't stand them Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Dave, hey, dave, frank, october is my birth month
and man, I'm afraid of bears, man, like just terrified, saw
one of the woods once, woodsonce, and it was no good.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, no bueno on that one.
No bueno, no bueno on the bear.
So my birthday month is inAugust, and the animal I'm most
terrified of is actually aKomodo dragon.
Komodo dragon, so because ifanybody ever watched a Komodo
dragon video them things eatsharks, alligators themselves,
pigs, whatever Komodo dragonclosest thing to a dinosaur

(01:56):
that's out there.
Definitely not here to talkabout the Komodo dragon, though,
even though it would be apretty cool episode.
But it kind of leads us intoquestion number one.
So we're going to start withBob, and then we're going to go
to Colin and then Dave.
We're going to start with thisfor you guys what are your
opinions on the zoo?
Do you like the zoo, and whatzoo or zoos have you ever been

(02:17):
to?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Bob, I like the zoos Overall.
I have been to the pittsburghzoo, the columbus zoo, um, I
don't know if we throw aquariumsin there as well.
Some aquariums, uh, in theouter banks and stuff as well I
think we'll count an aquarium asa zoo.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
So, colin, what about you?

Speaker 3 (02:40):
yeah, I I'd have to say I like the zoo.
I know there can be a bad raparound zoos sometimes, but I
think that has to do with thepeople more than the animals
there.
But I've been to the PittsburghZoo, the Columbus Zoo in
February, which was aninteresting experience, and I've

(03:02):
been to the Cleveland Zoo andAquarium.
Okay, how?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
about you, Dave.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah, so, um, you know, I think about the zoo is.
You know these animals, some ofthem you know what it kind of
sucks for them being in the zoo,but for some of them they got a
much better life than theywould ever have had had they
been in any other zoo.
Um, the Erie zoo in Erie, pennsylvania, has kind of been
my go-to, although I'll tell youthe zoo to watch out for and
that's the Oakland Zoo down ifyou go to watch a pit basketball

(03:30):
game, because that can get alittle bit crazy sometimes too.
That's the other zoo I've beento.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
I really like the zoo .
I think the zoo is awesome.
I think it's very interestingthat you can go see a lot of
these animals that you wouldnever have the chance to ever
see.
I've been to the Cleveland Zoo,the Akron Zoo and the Erie Zoo
All very interesting, all verydifferent, that's for sure.
The thing that always remindedme about the Erie Zoo is you go

(03:59):
into the as Dave will probablyback me up on this you go into
the barnyard exhibit and youjust see like pigs and barnyard
animals of like goats and stuff.
It's a very interesting,interesting exhibit.
But the Cleveland Zoo is reallygreat, especially if you can
walk up and see the giraffes andfeed them.
I'm not feeding a giraffe, that's for sure, but if somebody

(04:20):
wants to feed the giraffe theycan.
So I think all of us like likethe zoo.
So the next one we're going tokind of go into is your who your
guy's opinion is on this who isthe most accomplished athlete
ever and it can be from any era,in any sport, any anything.
So, coach Nizel, what would yousay?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Oh, not familiar.
Sometimes I feel like maybesome golfers might be there.
But I still go back to jordanokay, I mean I don't know
brady's there, I still go backto jordan okay, colin, who would
you say?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
you're making me show my age here a little bit.
I haven't been around for a lotof uh, these superstar athletes
, but um, yeah, I'd probablyhave to agree with Bob.
I think I'm going to go withJordan too.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Okay, dave.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Yeah, so I mean this is a complicated question.
I mean growing up I mean we hadthe Pro Stars cartoon growing
up with Wayne Gretzky and youknow, bo, I'm going to tell you
it's Bo Jackson.
I mean Bo Jackson is the guythat I mean if he'd have stayed
healthy, he'd have been moreaccomplished than anybody else.
And if you're talking aboutjust pure accomplishments, go, I

(05:34):
mean that's a really, reallytough question to say.
I mean Brady's the football guy, I mean Tiger's the golf guy.
You know, I think there's somevery, very clear and prominent
ones.
Basketball is probably the onesthe toughest because it's all
generational, right, guys thatgrew up with Will, in, in, in,

(05:54):
in Kareem, you know, as opposedto guys like us that grew up
with Jordan and these young guysthat grew up thinking that,
actually thinking that LeBronwas the greatest, like, I mean
it's.
It's a really, really toughquestion, but if you ask me that
question, let me Bo Jackson, all day, every day.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Okay, so we had two Jordans and Bo Jackson.
So I'm going to throw somenames out because I like knowing
the history of athletes andtalk about their accomplishments
.
So one is Will Chamberlain, aphenomenal basketball player.
When he actually retired hebecame a pro volleyball player
as well.
He also played in Conan theBarbarian.

(06:30):
I believe that was the Conan,he was the, not Conan the
Destroyer, I think.
Yeah, he was in the BarbarianAnyways, but in that movie he
was training for it, working outso forth and such.
But he got to know um arnoldschwarzenegger very well.
He also got to know andre thegiant, former wwe wrestler.

(06:54):
Now, according to them, two guyswho were probably two of the
strongest people ever.
They said will chamberlain wasstronger than both of them.
They said his strength wasfreakishly amazing that he could
be stronger than Andre theGiant.
For all of us old guys who knowAndre the Giant know he was
just a freakishly large, strongman who used to be able to lift

(07:16):
cars.
So I'm going to throw WiltChamberlain out there and I'm
going to throw Jim Thorpe outthere, the Olympian, the
professional football player, the professional ballroom dancer
and baseball player.
So I'm going to throw JimThorpe and then, finally, I'm
going to throw out MichaelPhelps.
What he did in the Olympics asa swimmer was probably the
greatest individualaccomplishments ever, because

(07:38):
when you're in that pool oryou're on that track and calling
your former track guy, it's youversus you and ain't nobody
else in there.
To make you be great, you haveto be great yourself, and to do
what Michael Phelps did in thepool was probably one of the
greatest feats ever.
Yeah sometimes your biggestopponent is yourself.
Yeah, so I would agree with youon that.

(08:01):
All right, next one it's goingto be interesting and, bob,
we're going to see what you'regoing to start out with here.
If you're moving away to a newcountry to live in, what country
are you choosing and why?

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Scotland, and why?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
would you pick Scotland?

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Beautiful, I don't know, I just loved it.
A couple times I've visitedHistory, even the cities, the
small towns.
I don't know.
Yeah, it's wonderful, food'sokay, okay.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
As long as they got the okay food.
That's what matters, colin.
I think I know what you'regoing to say, colin, but let's
go for it.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yes, if I had to pick a country to move to and
actually my answer is probablygoing to surprise you it would
be Portugal.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
I was not expecting that.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I went there the last New Year's we were in Portugal
and the place is amazing.
Everything's super clean, people are really friendly.
The place I was at the wholecountry is basically right on
the ocean, because it's not verybig.
No, it was neat.

(09:10):
The only thing I'd have tolearn a little, you know,
conquer a little bit of alanguage barrier.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
But we'll deal with that when we get there?
Yeah, you know, you can alwayspick it up along the way.
Dave, what are you picking here?

Speaker 4 (09:18):
well, I think, more importantly as to where I want
to go is I'm going to tell youwhere I don't want to go.
Um, you know, there's lots ofgreat people in Africa, but
there's it's just not a place togo.
There's lots of great people inEast Asia, and there's just not
a place to go and to go alongwith these guys, man, like
Europe's got it in spades.
I loved Eastern Europe.

(09:39):
Um, I'd go to the SlovakRepublic.
I went to visit my family there, and you want to talk about
cost of living, you want to talkabout standard of living.
It's, it's so many things wherewe could go as Americans and
enjoy our lives.
And you know, gosh, you tell meI got to get out of here.
It's their Canada, baby, let'sgo Like uh, I could eat some

(10:02):
gravy fries too.
It's one of those two.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
So for me, I would say I would probably go to Costa
Rica.
I think it was an amazing place.
When we went there Now, granted, very humid, we were also there
during the rainy season anddefinitely in the heart of the
rainy season, so it wasdefinitely humid, but I liked
costa rica, it felt very safe.

(10:27):
Um, it actually has a higherlife expectancy than america.
Um, they actually put moremoney into their education.
Their health care system isranked just as high as america's
.
Um, there's no military thereand then their crime rate's
actually very low.
And then it is actually justvery historic as far as, like

(10:50):
the people that have come there.
There's actually a lot ofItalian people who have settled
in there over the years.
There was a lot of people fromAustralia, different parts of
South and Central America, so Ifind it very culturally
appeasing as well.
I think it's a really coolplace.
I think maybe one of the otherplaces I would probably consider
, of course, would be Italy, just being Italian, but outside

(11:14):
Dave's shaking his head on thatone.
Outside of that, though, Ithink maybe not permanently
living there, but I think partsof south africa would be very
interesting, especially on thewater, um, and I think also
parts of japan as well, so thatwould probably be probably be it
for me.
So next one.
Now, you can't pick both ofthese, you can only pick one.

(11:36):
But do you think aliens orghosts are real?
And which one are you picking?
And why Bob Ghosts?
Why would you say ghosts?

Speaker 2 (11:50):
I don't know, because you said I can't pick both.
Okay, yeah, I don't know, I'dsay both.
That was the first one, ghosts.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
What would you say, Colin?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
I'm going to have to go with ghosts, and the reason I
say that is because I'veactually had an experience with
the paranormal before in my life.
So I'm not quite sure what wasgoing on, but I'm I'm pretty
well convinced it goes surreal.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
So okay, how about you, dave?

Speaker 4 (12:25):
yeah so I'm 100% aliens and that's because I mean
for us to think that we're thebe-all and end-all in the
universe and that the four of ussitting here right now having
this podcast are the I mean, asaffluent and as smart as we are

(12:48):
to be the end-all and be-all ofthe universe.
I think that that's just,that's such a you know a fallacy
, because I mean, how do youthink those pyramids got built?
Like I mean, legitimately, it'sgotta be aliens, man.
Like there's no way that thathappened by accident.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
I would say aliens as well, kind of like what Dave
said we can't believe there'sthis gigantic universe out there
and we're the only human beingsor animals or insects or
microbes or whatever you want tosay, that are out there in this
vast universe that we have notexplored.

(13:27):
Plus the guy from AncientAliens with the big hair that
sits on top of his head, thatguy is pretty great too, so I
don't forget his name.
He's very Greek, he has a veryGreek name, but he always looks
just like he's very intenseabout aliens and watching
Ancient Aliens Made me thinkthat, but I can't remember that

(13:49):
guy's name.
But, uh, that guy is definitelyan interesting character.
If I think of ghosts makes methink of like the exorcist, and
I don't want to think aboutstuff like that.
So I just choose not not to sayghosts on that, but definitely
the aliens part.
So, uh, I won the next ones.
I want to talk and this showhas been around for a long time.

(14:12):
It's been around.
I think we're going on 25, 26years of it, almost as long as
Colin has been alive.
I think he came out when Colinwas like two years old.
So is Family Guy overrated orunderrated as a TV show, and why

(14:32):
Bob?

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Going back the 20-some years you mentioned, I
would say underrated.
I mean, I go back that far to,I guess, the way it infused
culture and made jokes at theexpense of everything in society
fair.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
What do you say, colin?

Speaker 3 (14:54):
yeah, I'm gonna have to go with, uh, underrated as
well.
I think, um, I think there's awillingness with the the writers
and producers of that show tokind of, you know, go after all
kinds of subject matter and notreally worry about you know what
, what people who don't like theshow are going to think about

(15:16):
it.
And the other reason I'm sayingit's underrated is because that
and the tiger King, or what gotme through most of the 2020
COVID shutdown.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
So that's fair.
All right, dave, what are yousaying?

Speaker 4 (15:31):
yeah, I'm not trying to do this just to be contrarian
but overrated, because I I feellike family guys in something
foreign is brilliant, but he, hestands on the shoulders of of
geniuses.
If you take sein and you, youmix in a little bit of a
Simpsons and of course I I thinkthat the Trey Parker match

(15:54):
stone from from from Southreally kind of plays the trail
there and I feel like he's kindof stepped on their shoulders in
order to make his show bebrilliant.
So I think I mean I think it'soverrated, but but only slightly
, because it's a a slight ripoffof the Simpsons and South Park.

(16:16):
Like I mean, if you think aboutwhen South Park was coming out,
it was genius, it was stuffthat.
And even still they're doingstuff that nobody else will do.
They're doing stuff thatcancels everybody else and I
mean I guess to a point sethmcfarland was doing that too,
but I mean only after.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
You know, matt stone and trey parker did it first
that's fair, you know, I'm gonnasay I'm gonna say underrated on
this, just because the qualityof people, though he's got on as
like famous actors andactresses.
You know, like Mila Kunis hasbeen on it, of course, for all
but one year.
You know, seth Green You'vegotten Adam Carolla has been on

(17:00):
there.
You've had on Sam Elliott.
I mean, you just had to havehad on all these different
people.
Adam West, adam West, yeah, ripAdam West.
Sam Elliott, you just have hadon all these different people.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Adam.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
West, adam West yeah, rip, adam West.
You've just had on all thesedifferent people.
I think.
It's also a testament, I think,to the power of Seth MacFarlane
to get all these well-knownpeople on there and have, know
and have this show with all ofthat and the success that it's

(17:31):
had year after year after year.
So one of the next things Iwant to talk to you guys about
is what is the best city in theUSA you've ever visited and you
would encourage others to visit?
Bob looks like he needs aminute on this, so I'm going to
answer this question first.
As our guest ponder, I'm goingto say it's Jim Thorpe, pa.

(17:53):
It is in the Pocono Mountains.
It is the old town of Machunk.
It is where anthrax coal wasfound in the 1700s.
That was revolutionary to therevolution of society and the
mills and functioning of theworld.
They built dams thereoriginally and had things

(18:16):
shipped down the water.
It was very interesting in thataspect.
And then it also was a verylarge Irish town, colin.
I don't know if you ever knewthat or not on my trip there,
but it's very large.
It had a lot of mines.
A lot of Irish immigrants wentthere.
It actually the true story.
It actually was the birthplaceof the Molly Maguires.

(18:38):
And then the Molly Maguiresclashed with the Pickerton
Detective Company and actuallyhung seven individuals in that
town at the county jail and youcan talk about ghosts.
One of the Molly Maguiresbefore that they were hung said
I will always be remembered, orwhatever it was.
He put his handprint on thewall.

(18:58):
The handprint has stayed.
They've torn down the wall, rebuilt the wall, painted over
the wall.
The hand has always have stayed.
They said it's a very, veryhaunted place.
And then also Sean Conneryplayed in a movie there in 1970
about the Molly Maguires.

(19:21):
Anyways, then, going from there,it became Jim Thorpe in the 50s
, after Jim Thorpe, who wasnever in Mauchunk, had his third
wife sell his remains to thetown in honor of him and they
built a huge monument of him.
And then now today it is jimthorpe pa, 70 years later, um,
named after the historicolympian jim thorpe, who was
never there.
Closest he ever got wascarlisle, pa.

(19:42):
I like history, so there'severybody's history for the day.
I definitely encourage jimthorpe.
A outstanding, outstandingplace.
Bob, what do you got?
What do?

Speaker 2 (19:51):
you got about uh bar harbor maine bar harbor maine.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Maine's always a place.
I wanted to see why bar harbormaine.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
I don't know, I was just thinking of something
different that I've enjoyedlarge national park, acadia
national park uh, you know itwas a town right on, you know,
the ocean on the water, um, justnice, quiet, enjoyable.
I don't know, I was there insummer, so it wasn't winter, so
maybe I would take that back ifI ever visited in the winter

(20:22):
months okay, colin yeah, so I'llhave to go with uh.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Asheville, north carolina.
Uh, I was there in june acouple years ago and I'm a big
mountains guy, so, smack dab inin blue ridge mountain country,
um, really enjoyed myself whileI was there.
Um, definitely, some, somekiller views and you go in, you
know, go out, hike all day andthen go into town and have a

(20:51):
small town nightlife at night.
It was.
It was really something so verycool.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
I I want to hear dave's on this, because dave
actually used to live in northcarolina.
So what do you got, dave?

Speaker 4 (21:02):
so you're blowing my mind calling, because my answer
is boone, uh, north Carolina, because you're.
I'm going to paint this picturefor you right now.
If you go to Boone, northCarolina, and first of all, it's
a perfect mix of Southerneverything, but at the same time
you get you get seasons and allof the above.

(21:26):
And to go to Carolina and watchan Appalachian State game in
the fall, you tailgate above thestadium, you sit above the rock
and the colors of the leavesare just like Western PA, where
most of us are very, veryfamiliar with, but the weather
is perfect and you're tailgatingand you go down to a ballgame

(21:47):
down.
It's an experience everybodyshould have.
It's like going to Lambeau, it'slike going to any of those
places that you think about butnobody's ever really heard of.
You've got to go to Boone, north Carolina.
If I could move there, that'dprobably be the place I'd go,

(22:09):
because they get all the seasons, the people are awesome there,
they are Western NorthCarolina's finest and you know,
and they don't make you feellike you're a carpetbag and
Yankee there.
It's really, it's great.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Very cool.
Everybody has four differentplaces they can check out.
I would throw some honorablementions in there, because I can
do that, because I'm hostingthe show.
I would say Chagrin Falls, ohio, would be one of them.
Vermilion, ohio, would beanother one.
I've also been to Memphis,tennessee.
I would also say that was areally cool experience as well.

(22:46):
And then Hershey PA coolexperience as well.
And then Hershey PA the home ofHershey's chocolate, hershey
world, the Hershey footballstadium, hershey theme park, all
things Hershey.
So you could just go go thereas well.
So those would be my, my fewhonorable mentions there.
Okay, next one If you werestarting a town and all that was

(23:08):
in this town was a post officeand a police station, with a
fire station attached to it,what three restaurants, food,
grocery store, whatever are youadding into this town?
You could pick three things, only three things.
But you have a post office anda police and fire station.
What other three things are youadding, bob?

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Hospital, school and supermarket.
Okay.
I'm going to grocery store.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Okay, colin, what would you say?

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Oh man, I would have to say grocery store tavern and
some kind of like a small, likeuh bed and breakfast or some

(24:06):
kind of deal like that to to geta little bit of tourism going
on okay, how about you, dave?

Speaker 4 (24:14):
so I, I get three places.
Uh, you know, I'm gonna put awegmans there because it's got a
little bit of your bar, it'sgot a little bit of your
everything going on, and uh, youkind of fill that in.
Number two, uh, I'm gonna put afat boys in there.
That was a bar that closed backin like uh, oh, five and eerie
and it had chicken wings and ithad everything under the sun

(24:34):
that you really need to have aplace that you're gonna go to.
And um, the last one, man, yeah, you guys may feel bad like not
having a hospital or somethingthere, but but put a dock in a
box there, man, like have somesort of like a, like a UPMC,
like a urgent care kind offacility, because you didn't

(24:55):
have that.
Then you know like you'd be introuble too.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
So I would add a hospital because it's going to
be one of your biggest employersas well.
I'm going to add in a gasstation because you need gas.
I'm gonna put in sheets becauseyou can also get food there.
So there's your restaurant andthere's your gas.
And I'm gonna add in an acehardware because if you're gonna
have a town, you need ahardware store for people to buy

(25:20):
tools at to build their homesand work on their homes so if
you can't have chicken wings, that's uh overrated.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Why would I live there in the first place?

Speaker 1 (25:32):
so those would be, uh , my three things.
So, all right.
The next one if there was amovie about your life, about the
life of bob, colin or dave, orthe life of bob, colin and dave,
that could be a great movietitle.
But if you had a life of Bob orColin or Dave and you had to
pick one of these three peopleto narrate your life story in a

(25:54):
movie, who would you pick?
Sam Elliott, james Earl Jonesor Morgan Freeman?
Bob, james, earl Jones.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Okay, colin, I'm going with Sam Elliott.
Okay, dave.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
This is a great question because there's no
wrong answer.
I mean, I'm going to go withMorgan Freeman, it's a little
bit homier, but gosh, I meanthese guys are all right.
There's no wrong answer to thisquestion.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
You know, if I was like a country guy and I was in
maybe like the wilderness orsomewhere rural, I'd probably go
Sam Elliott.
But I don't know if Sam Elliottfits my like lifestyle, so I'm
going to probably not go withSam Elliott there.
I like Morgan Freeman.
I love James Earl Jones Talkingabout Conan he was in that too

(26:45):
but I love Morgan Freeman how henarrated the Shawshank
Redemption.
Shout out, shawshank Redemption.
30 years old this year I wasgoing to be 31.
But I really like MorganFreeman on that.
So that's who I would pick.
All right, the big one.
Now the big one.
We're all going to see whoeverybody thinks on this,
because this is a hot topic.

(27:06):
Who was the best action herofrom the 80s and 90s?
Sylvester stallone, jean-claudevan damme chuck norris stephen
seagal or arnold schwarzeneggerbob, you forgot one.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Who did I forget Bruce Willis?
Yeah, I was thinking that too, okay.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Okay, we'll throw in Bruce Willis there too, Bruce
Willis Going to go, bruce Willis.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Okay, Colin.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
I'm going to go with Stallone, and the only reason I
do say that is Rambo was awesome, rocky was awesome and he's
still going as Dwight in theTulsa King, which is a great
show.
He's still making movies, soI'm going with Sylvester.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
Dave, if you made me stick to the ones that you threw
out there.
Yeah, I mean, I said Stalloneman because Tulsa King is great,
you know, and I feel badbecause you know you made me
stick to the ones that you threwout there.
Yeah, man, I just said Stalloneman because Tulsa King's great,
you know, and I feel badbecause you know these guys have
all aged invariably differentways.
But I'm with Bob man, bruceWillis, like it's the holiday
season man I just watched Notonly did I watch diehard, not

(28:28):
only did I watch die Hard man, Iwatched all the Die Hards over
the Christmas.
And it's so very, very hard tocompare, because we're in such a
dearth of this right now, finding a really, really good
action here today that comparesto literally anybody that you
said on your list right there,to literally anybody that you

(28:48):
said on your list right there.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
You know, for me, I was always a big Jean-Claude Van
Damme fan growing up kickboxer, the quest time cop, universal
soldier, you know him, and DolphLundgren fighting it out.
But the one thing I always willgo back to, even though this
isn't an 80s, 90s thing, um,when stallone made the

(29:11):
expendables, especially thefirst one, and he was able first
and second one, not so much thethird one, but first and second
one.
He got, like van damme andchuck norris and schwarzenegger
and bruce willis and, uh, jetlee andph Lundgren, to all be on
that.
That Terry Crews, that was likethe most incredible thing ever

(29:36):
with like action heroes thatolder people have grown up on,
and that was just so, so coolthat he was able to get them all
to buy in and do that.
So, all right.
The next question is going tobe interesting because we have
two guys on here from PA and onefrom Ohio.
So give me three reasons whyPennsylvania or Ohio is better

(29:58):
than the other Bob.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Three reasons.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Why I'm assuming you're going to say Pennsylvania
, bob, you're right, I am.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Okay, so what are three reasons?
Pennsylvania, bob, you're right, I am.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Okay, so what are three reasons?

Speaker 2 (30:10):
Pennsylvania is better than Ohio, it's not Ohio,
we'll say the food and thesports teams.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Okay, Colin, I'm assuming you're picking Ohio?

Speaker 3 (30:27):
Yep, I'm going to have to Hang with the home team
there on that one.
I'm going to say I'm going tosay Taxes, I'm going to say not
getting your vehicle Inspectedevery year and I'm going to
Throw one out Out of left fieldthere and say the, the Italian

(30:47):
out of left field there and saythe Italian influence that we
get from Cleveland andPittsburgh and Youngstown is
pretty hard to beat.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Okay, and Dave, I'm assuming you're picking
Pennsylvania?

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Yeah, but I mean this is way closer than you think
because you know each other fromcoaching high school football
in Ohio has Pennsylvania inspades.
It's embarrassing what the PIAdoes compared to the OHSA,
compared to how they handleeverything.
That part of me is is is just,I mean I can't get it.

(31:29):
Here's the big one.
Like you know, I can't find anOhio.
I can't find any good bars, man, like I mean like real bars,
you go to Ohio, you go to try todrink a cold beer and you got
to go to, like a Bennigan's,like no, I, you know I go to.
I want to go in Ohio, I want togo to PA.
I want to go in ohio.

(31:55):
I want to go to pa, I want togo to bar, I want to go
someplace.
It's got a little bit ofcharacter to it.
Pa's got that in spades.
Um, although you know this isone of those things where I'm
going to give a 60, 40 pa slant.
Um, you know it would have been90, 10, 20 years ago.
I've had a lot of good times inohio and I, I can't, I, I can't
make it a landslide like I usedto, especially because what
Ohio's doing with high schoolfootball, like you know, it's
embarrassing compared to PA.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Okay, that's fair.
So this is hard.
This is really really hard forme.
I'm going to say Pennsylvaniabecause of three places Hershey,
pa.
Jim Thorpe PA and Erie PA.

(32:40):
Those are the three reasons Ihave to give the nod of
Pennsylvania over Ohio, althoughOhio does have some very, very
cool small towns to go check outand explore and everybody that
knows me knows I'm a small townexploring type of guy and

(33:00):
checking out food andrestaurants and breweries and
things like that.
But those three towns are threeof my more favorite towns ever
and they just all rely or alllie in pennsylvania.
That's why I have to go withthat.
So we have three questions leftfor everybody listening to this
.
All things, about no thing,show.
Now the big question is what doyou think of this?

Speaker 2 (33:26):
it's very different, but I should expect that with
you, colin uh, I'd have to agreewith that.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
I, as someone who's been on the show multiple times
now, I I think this is, uh, it'svery unique and I think that's
a good thing, and I think that,uh, people should check it out
okay, dave, same thing.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
Man is somebody that's been on here now a couple
of times.
Here's the deal.
Like, uh, you're looking forsomething that's going to be
your boilerplate, boring everyother day.
Whatever, this isn't your.
Stop your one-stop shop.
Like, uh, you, you tune in thispodcast because you want to
hear something that's going tobe different.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
I appreciate that Mike and I have worked really,
really hard to make it a littlebit different from the round
tables and individual shows andthings like that.
All right, two questions left.
What would scare you the most?
Climbing Mount Everest, goingto the moon or going to the
bottom of the ocean, bob?
Going to the bottom of theocean, bob.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Going to the bottom of the ocean.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
Colin Bottom of the ocean.
We just watched that submarineimplode on itself.
So I'm going to have to saybottom of the ocean.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
What about you, dave?
Oh my gosh.
Yeah, ocean man.
My goal while swimming is don'tdie.
So I'm not a water guy, that'sout for me.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
I think going to the moon would be terrifying, even
though I think I I don't likeheight, so going to mount
everest would be, would be outof the question, and going to
the bottom of the ocean and likegoing into the darkness would
be would be really weird.
But going to the moon and justknowing that there's no sound,
no noise, there's no rescue team, there's no, nothing, nothing,

(35:16):
they're just vastness of nosound and nothing out there, the
vastness of nothing, that wouldbe terrifying to me.
Because if you, just if whathappens?
If you float away, you'll justfloat for forever.
Thank you, it'll be fine, you'll just, you'll just float
for forever.
I I don't know, man, I'vewatched too many movies.

(35:38):
Uh, about that stuff, and allright.
The last question on the allthings about no things podcast
and everybody's listening you todecide did I truly take
anything away from this show ordidn't I?
What did they really talk about?
But we're going to talk aboutone last thing.
Give me one word to describeyourself Bob.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Overweight Colin.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Oh man, colin, oh man , I guess.
Oh man, I don't know, loyal, Iguess.
Okay, dave.

Speaker 4 (36:19):
Man, I'm talkative man.
I talk to damn much.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Okay, we got overweight.
Loyal and talkative.
Okay, figured it was a cool wayto end the show there.
But in all seriousness, thankyou guys for coming on.
