Todd Oldham is a well known designer whose career spans more than 30 years. Distinguished as an innovator of accessible design, Todd Oldham is the founder of Todd Oldham Studio, a multifaceted, full-service design studio based in NYC. Originally a New York fashion designer… Given the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) award for best new talent in 1991.
In 1992 Todd debuts the “Todd Time” segment on MTV’s House of Style, pioneering the idea of accessible design.
Todd's career has evolved to include all areas of design, from interior design, film and photography, to furniture and graphic design.
In 2014 RISD, the Rhode Island School of Design, awarded Oldham an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts and in 2016 mounted a retrospective, ALL of EVERYTHING TODD OLDHAM FASHION. Oldham is a noted author whose books include QUEER THREADS honoring LGBTQ fiber artists from around the world and was given the 2018 Stonewall Book Award by the American Library Association for that title. ED EMBERLEY a beloved children’s book illustrator. Prior titles include CHARLEY HARPER-An Illustrated life and CHARLEY HARPER-Animal Kingdom, a 672 page monograph on the life's work of artist ALEXANDER GIRARD, a unique series called Place Space that explores singular places and the uncommonly devoted people that create them, an artist's monograph on the brilliant, warped work of Wayne White and a love note to rock icon JOAN JETT.
