Luke Lintz (00:00):
All right, this the road to a billion series, week
four and five cars I missed aweek. So we're going to have a
lot to recap in here, I mighttalk pretty fast, because I want
to keep this one short. I wantto keep this at about like,
eight minutes. But we have a lotto go through basically, right
after the holidays, that waskind of like the start week
four, it was huge getting backinto things where basically so

(00:23):
much stuff was being thrown atme, in terms of workers coming
back to work, in terms of likewith publicity, or in media,
with journalists coming back towork and picking up stories that
we pitched at the end of theyear, it was crazy. And so Week
Four was definitely wild. Weekfive was wild, too, in terms of
I talked a lot about this in myrecent tic toc about being in a

(00:44):
lot of reactive mind space andgetting honestly just like being
really hard on myself andstressed out in terms of being
in that reactive space. Becausethere were just so many problems
managers coming to me,journalists coming back with
like ideas for new stories forcertain clients and just a lot
of stuff on a day to day basis.
I feel like outside of thethings that I was doing, even

(01:06):
though I was working like 1012hour days, I feel like I wasn't
working on any of this stuffthat I had planned for. Even
though it's still really goodstuff still moving the business
forward and still bringingrevenue into the business still
delivering massive results forclients. It felt like there was
a lot of stuff that was doinginside of the business and stuff
outside of the business. Sothat's kind of why I'm what I

(01:27):
want to go through in thisentire video. So we're gonna
start off with some majorproblems over the past week for
Week Five crazy problems, themost annoying problems ever. One
thing is we pay certain vendorsfor like press services, certain
social media services via cryptowhere we store all of our crypto
Well, up until this point is inCoinbase. Huge mistake Coinbase.

(01:48):
After we sent out a few $5,000transactions in one specific day
blocked our account literallysent them an email sent them a
shout request and we were cutoff from sending any payments
more to our vendors because wewere storing all of our crypto
in Coinbase. It was a huge flawthat happened putting all of our
eggs in one basket into onecrypto wallet and exchange we've

(02:10):
been exited out of crypto overthe past like year and a half.
And so we have the majority ofour funds and liquid cash in
cyber bank accounts. And so wedidn't think it was that harmful
being inside crypto. And wethought in terms of having your
funds in other exchanges, wethought Coinbase would be the
most safe and secure of allcrypto exchanges because it's a

(02:30):
publicly traded company. Otherexchanges we thought were a bit
sketchy where we previously hadin Nexo and Kraken, it was super
annoying, it actually stillhasn't been figured out after a
week and a half, that's kind ofjust been a draining thing where
we've had to even though we havethe resources and the capital to
be spending on certain vendors,we've literally are incapable of
so I have to find out othermethods of sending payments to

(02:54):
them just leads to a whole messand just annoyance in general. A
second thing that's along thesame lines is you guys are gonna
get kicked out this if you'reactually watching this video.
But basically, in the New YearAmerican Express decided to
change up their bank ID whenthey withdraw funds from your
bank account. So you know, whenyou go into American Express's

(03:16):
website, and you click make apayment, and it withdraws funds
from a direct bank transfer.
Well, we have fraud detection onour bank. And so you need to be
a pre authorized user to be ableto pull funds from the bank
account. And so since AmericanExpress changed their ID, it
changed the ID that was verifiedwith our bank. When we went to

(03:37):
make a payment it was like a$27,000 payment. It bounced back
because it wasn't authorizedwith her bank account. Even
though we obviously have thosefunds in our bank account.
American Express blocked thebank blocked all of our American
Express credit card we use ourAmerican Express cards for
practically the majority of ourbusiness. They're great cards. I
love American Express, but theypluck their bank from making

(03:59):
another payment reauthorizingthe bank and then make another
payment they block that and so Ihad to call them on the phone
with them for an hour which islike literally one of my least
favorite things to do. And it'sso not a growth aspect to the
business. It's picking up stuffthat are just failures of the
business. So it's super annoyingas it's not directly growing the

(04:19):
business from fixing thatproblem. After I got off the
phone with American Express, Ihad to figure out how I was
gonna get American Express rightback on they didn't allow me to
reconnect my bank and so I hadto send a manual wire transfer
after I sent the manual wiretransfer had to wait four
business days after I sent thatsent the 17,000 they couldn't
find it just the worst type ofthing worst type of problem to

(04:42):
deal with. I ended up figuringit out I was able to reconnect
the bank account, withdraw27,000 Because the bill ended up
being higher withdrew 25,000from the from the bank account
and then was able to get back upand running. But that was a
super annoying problem. Anotherthing is we've had a really good
A process recently for findingextremely good candidates

(05:04):
finding candidates for hiringcertain positions and also for
building our processes of ourentire interview and hiring
process. Right now forpractically the majority of
positions at Heike, we have athree call interview process.
First is the head manager of thedepartment finds the candidate,
that's the candidate over emailpreliminary and then does an

(05:25):
initial call with the candidateif they meet the requirements
that we have in that specificdepartment of having the resume
standards, the previous passwordexperience. Usually we looked at
their LinkedIn or their socialmedia accounts, professional
LinkedIn social media accounts, and then they'll get on a call
with head manager thatapartment. Usually it's been my
operations manager who's beentaking the majority of the

(05:48):
interviews for a lot of thedifferent departments. And then
in that interview, they're doinga lot of background work.
They're talking about pastexperiences that the candidate
has going into a lot of detailif you want to go into it, like
a lot of our processes arehonestly from like Alex and
Leila Hermoza, they absolutelykill it, they've been amazing
YouTube channel, go super indepth with Haim bras, I don't

(06:10):
want to repeat anything thatthey say. So just go over there,
learn about their hiringprocesses and implement and put
your own like spin on it. That'swhere we do three call interview
process. I'm in there at thelast stage, doing a final vet of
the person and making sure thatthey're aligned for the role.
But it comes into a majorproblem because we've been in
need for a press managerrecently, somebody on our earned

(06:31):
media side of things and thepublicity side of things at the
company. We've been interviewingconstantly for candidates, and
we just haven't found one in thepast two weeks since the New
Year's and Christmas holidays, that's been a good fit, which is
super hard, because we've beenbringing in a lot of new
business. And so our currentpress managers, even though that
they're absolutely amazing atwhat they do, they've been
extremely overloaded withthings. And so that's been a

(06:54):
problem. And that's probably mybiggest initiative for Week Six
of row two a bill and and you'llprobably hear me talk about
that, that hopefully, we foundsomebody went through the entire
interview process and startonboarding another thing that I
wrote down a major problems ofover the past two weeks, I went
into this, but you hear the ideaof working too much in your
business instead of on yourbusiness. And I never really

(07:17):
understood what this meant. LikeI always thought that that was
kind of just gibberish thatpeople talked about, but I
really do understand it wherethere's a very clear distinction
of working inside of yourbusiness, which for me would be
like managing people on a day today basis, actually doing some
of the day to day work, whetherit be on the press side social

(07:37):
media side of things likeworking on my own social media
accounts. That's like a lot ofthings that are working inside
of the business, I have noticedthat over the past two weeks,
week four and five row to abillion I've been doing a lot of
and kind of annoyed with it. Butupon reflection, I'm going to be
fixing that in the future. And Iactually have an entire list
that I wrote out of things thatI need to delegate over the next

(08:00):
month in hire for so and thengoing on the other side of
things of working on thebusiness is creating the new
marketing strategies,brainstorming the products that
are going to be the mostrelevant in the next year
forecasting what could happen ifwe go into a market downturn and
start entering into a recessionand what that would look like in

(08:21):
terms of the current people wehave hired and the revenue that
we're bringing in and what allthose numbers would look like
where you can't do that ifyou're working inside of the
business. And so it's time toget into some major successes.
One is it looks like we're goingto be locking in a reality TV
deal, which is pretty cool.
We're going to be filming thetrailer, they call it like a

(08:43):
sizzle reel in March where it'salready secured. They're paying
for the whole thing filming inPuerto Rico. And so that's
definitely gonna be a part ofthis series, we'll pull it up.
So that's gonna be really cool.
Now the thing is, we absolutelycrushed it over the past two
weeks for some of our pressclients. And people off the top
of my head are like amarilla,Mark Nielsen, Luke de, I'll put
some pictures up of like somearticles that we publish for

(09:06):
them. Maybe they'll throw in atestimonial video from one of
them about the services. Butyeah, it always feels good to
absolutely knock it out of thepark for some clients. Next
thing that's a major success isI'm not sure if I talked about
this in the previous row to abillion videos, but our sales
team was doing a good jobfinishing up the year in 2022.
But they weren't doing the bestjob with hitting the KPIs we had

(09:29):
in place for specifically coldcalling people within our
pipeline, because right now wehave a pipeline with 5000 leads
that have come in mainly throughlike direct advertising methods
over the past six months, and Iwanted every single one of those
leads to be called repeatedlyuntil they answered and so we
set metrics in place for thatand they just weren't being hit.

(09:51):
And so I think it was in weekfour that I set an initiative
with the sales managers that ifany sales team member Our sales
rep doesn't hit their KPIs intheir specific department
either. Like setters havedifferent KPIs that put in place
than the closers for doing thosecold conversations. But if they
didn't hit those marks, thenthey would be kicked off the

(10:12):
team. And we actually saw areally good bump up where
practically every single personhit KPIs. At the end of this
week five, there was a majorsuccess, ton of more
conversation 10 or more bookcalls just a lot more activity
on the sales side of things, which was great to see this is
kind of like the last thing onthe major successes side of
things, is I was finally able toalign with the team, which was I

(10:32):
was able to align with theexecutive assistant, and a
couple of others, our team ofthe entire rebrand that we're
doing. I mentioned this earlierin one of my other videos, but
we're rebranding the entireHeike agency website. And we're
going to be rebranding all ofour other websites after high
key agencies complete. And we'rerebranding all of our social
media pages. Basically, we said2023 is the year of

(10:54):
professionalization of oursocial media digital presence,
because up until this point, wehave a really good product in
place, we have a really goodservice, we have clientele, a
lot of clients from the pastclients that really enjoy our
services, the new clients thatwe want to bring in are
constantly more and more highlevel. And we're wanting to get

(11:15):
into that upper tier businesslevel. And the only way we can
do that is by reallyprofessionalizing every aspect
or a business, stop doing any oflike the kid stuff that we used
to be doing before we're we'reextremely like loud and
obnoxious on videos, and whereit was mainly like myself and my
brother's face on our brand, wewant to start getting our

(11:36):
clients face our brand, we havean absolutely amazing team. So
we want to start getting ourteam's faces on all of our
social media pages and thewebsites so that they can start
speaking about our brand, because there's a lot of people
within our company that are muchmore educated than me, and
they're specifically specificdepartment space. So it only
makes sense to do it like that.

(11:58):
And then to wrap this video up,another major success was we
submitted a license that shouldbe complete within the next one
to two weeks for a business thatwe've been working on for the
past year. I can't really speaktoo much about it on this video,
I just wanted to make sure Idocumented it just so that I can
look back on it in the future.
But it was a huge success point.

(12:20):
I'm a really big believer ofstaying focused on one thing,
one project and one business fora very extended long period of
time. And that's exactly whatI'm doing with highkey
enterprises is I've beenextremely focused on highkey
enterprise literally since thebeginning seven and a half years
ago now. And I'm going to stayfocused on it for the next 10

(12:40):
years. There's just anopportunity that came to us that
was too good to pass up with thebusiness partners that we have
in place for it. I can't talktoo much about it. I will
definitely be bringing up in thefuture once it's all launched
and once it's running, but it'ssomething that will be a huge
driver of revenue and businessto be able to expand the Heike

(13:01):
enterprise business in thefuture, which is the reason why
we led to the decision ofworking on that and putting so
much effort into that. That'ssuper cool. Yeah, this is row 2
billion Week Four and week five.
Watch this this entire video andlike Big applause to you. You're
probably only watch this once aweek. I'm a billionaire. So
peace
