The bell rings, the cage drops, and the crowd should feel danger closing in. That’s the energy we chase as we unpack why AEW’s Blood and Guts delivered a sharper, grittier story than WWE’s War Games—and where one baffling “pause for chants” moment shattered the illusion of a fight. When a match built on urgency stops to milk a reaction while opponents lie flat, it doesn’t just break kayfabe; it breaks trust. We talk through how spectacle can enhance a bout, but only when it respects the rules that make wrestling feel real.

From there we turn to John Cena’s looming final match and the vacuum around it. A legacy farewell needs time, stakes, and an opponent who means something—either a storied rival to close a circle or a made-man moment for the next era. Dropping a mystery challenger days out strips the bout of heat and robs fans of the anticipation that makes a goodbye unforgettable. We weigh names that would have clicked and why a proper build is not a luxury; it’s the whole point.

Teddy brings veteran clarity to the bigger picture: too much programming, not enough focus, and leadership choices that favor moments over momentum. We explore promo guardrails on live TV, what happens when you go off-script, and how creative power affects even the biggest stars. There’s brighter news too—TNA landing a Thursday night slot on AMC, a real chance to grow audience and sharpen identity if the booking stays disciplined. Along the way we trade road stories, shout out listeners across the map, and reflect on how today’s travel culture swapped bar nights for recovery and longevity.

If you care about storytelling logic, honoring legends the right way, and promotions that respect their audience, this conversation is for you. Listen, share your take on War Games vs Blood and Guts, and tell us who should have stood across from Cena for a farewell worthy of his legacy. Subscribe, leave a review, and send this to a wrestling fan who loves the craft as much as the pop.

SPEAKER_01 (01:31):
What's happening, everybody?
Welcome to another Thursdaynight.
Did you see that plane go byjust then, Teddy?

SPEAKER_00 (01:40):
No, I didn't see anything.

SPEAKER_01 (01:42):
I saw a plane just go by.
I didn't see nothing.
Look here.
Welcome to an all-new road tripafter hours.
I'm your host, Mag Davis, andwith me each and every single
week, my tag team partner, WWEHall of Famer, Mr.

SPEAKER_00 (01:57):
Teddy Long.
Hey Teddy.
Hey, good, good to see youagain, and happy holidays to
you, man.
You had a great Thanksgiving.

SPEAKER_01 (02:03):
I did.
I I enjoyed Thanksgiving.
Uh we didn't do a whole lot.
You know, uh, we were well, wewere on the air last week on
Thanksgiving.
Yeah, it was just uh the wifeand I.
So we went to uh Cracker Barreland had our deal there.
But now uh between the last timewe talked and now though, Teddy,
uh Survivor series took place.
Did you have a chance to see anyof Survivor Series?

(02:25):
I know you're gone most of theweekend, so no, I didn't see any
of it.
Look here.

SPEAKER_00 (02:30):
Did I miss anything?

SPEAKER_01 (02:32):
No, no, no, not really.
Here's my problem, and andeverybody who's in the room
right now, welcome into theroom.
You can become a part of theshow.
Simply just leave us a comment,we'll throw it up on the screen.
You don't have to do any superchats, not gonna cost you any
money.
It's absolutely free.
Just join in the conversation, that's all we ask.
Uh, but uh during SurvivorSeries, and those of you who are

(02:54):
watching, I'd love to know yourthoughts on Survivor Series.
But Teddy, I I got to see notjust Survivor Series, but I got
to see Blood and Guts from AEW,like uh I guess it was a week,
maybe two weeks before.
And AEW put on a much betterproduct when it came to a
two-cage ring action using thecage, blood, the things you

(03:19):
expect in that type of match, you got.
Whereas when you got WWE, yougot a little bit of color uh uh
on one person.
I'm trying to remember who itwas, I can't even remember, but
it wasn't much.
You know, it was nothing likewhat we recall back in the in
the early days of wrestling.
When you saw cage matches, theymeant something, and you

(03:40):
expected to see blood.
So just on that alone, I enjoyedAEW's product much better, much
better, 10 times better thanwhat I got out of WWE.
And during WWE Survivor series, you've got the five guys,
whatever it was, in the ring atthe end of the night, versus you

(04:00):
know, there's the faces and theheels.
The faces now, as War Games isgetting ready to begin, they
have beat up their opponents, they're all on the ground, just
laying down.
You're waiting for one more guyto come out, and that's Brock
Lesnar.
And you know you're gonna haveto fight when Brock comes out.
So you you got your guys on theground, so you're just gonna

(04:21):
keep them there, right?
That's what most people woulddo.
You would keep them on theground for the first time ever
that I have seen any type of awar games match.
They started Jey Uso's musicagain so we could do a yeet for
the next couple of minutesbefore Brock came out.

(04:43):
They they forgot they hadanybody on the ground, they just
started getting the fans alongwith the yeet in the middle of a
war games match.
Teddy, I know you're old school,uh you know, and I know you love
today and yesterday's uhwrestling just as much, but does
that make any sense to youwhatsoever?

SPEAKER_00 (05:07):
Uh I've had the opportunity to see a lot of
stuff that has been happeningwith them, and none of it has
really made any sense.
My thing is this, I just thinkthat they're just got they got
so much, it's just too muchwrestling, and they're trying to
do something with everybody, andyou can't do that.
You got to get a select, uh, aselect number of people that

(05:27):
you're gonna feature, thatyou're gonna do something with,
and those are the people you'regonna have to work with.
You can't make everybody a star.
And so I I just I like I said, Ithink it's just too much.
And if they would kind of settledown a little bit and kind of
think some of these things outbefore they do them, I think
they would come come across alot better.

SPEAKER_01 (05:45):
I can understand that you're trying to entertain
the fans, but at the same time, you're trying to tell me that
this big match that, you know, you've got these major names on
both sides of the ring in atwo-ring caged match, and you're
gonna stop in the middle of itand dance from the top of the

(06:07):
cage and in the turnbuckles withthe fans while the guys you're
supposed to be wrestling aregetting the chance to get their
breath back.

SPEAKER_00 (06:15):
I mean it it says right on the marquee WWE World
Wrestling Entertainment.

SPEAKER_01 (06:24):
That that was a bad mistake.
I'm sorry, whoever's decisionthat was, it was a complete
idiotic mistake.
It took me completely out of it,just even though I'm trying my
best, but you know, watch it asa fan.
I was insulted as a fan that I'msupposed to believe that for a
couple of minutes they're eatenthat everything is, you know,
that's what you're supposed todo.

SPEAKER_00 (06:45):
And that's the other thing, too.
I really kind of think a littlebit there.
I think right now there's not awhole lot of concern for the
fans.
Uh and I just see that for somereason.
I don't know why, but it justlike that that they like like
they don't exist anymore.
Well, we're gonna make itwhether you guys support us or
not.
No, you will not make it if youdon't have fan support.

(07:05):
So uh I just think like I said,it's just a whole lot going on,
and until they get somebody get,you know, kind of get things
under control, I don't know whatto say about them.

SPEAKER_01 (07:15):
Well, they gotta do something because it's not just
that, but I mean, now we've gotJohn Cena.
Here he is coming up on hisfinal match, and I think it's a
week from this Saturday, if I'mnot mistaken, his final match.
Now, we still don't know as ofnow who he's gonna be facing
when he goes into that finalmatch.

(07:36):
Because right now we have twomore guys that have to go head
to head, and that's Gunther andLA Knight.
Teddy, I'm I don't care who itis, either one makes no
difference to me because at thispoint, I feel like neither one
is worthy of a final match withJohn Cena.
That's no disrespect to eitherone of those guys, but I

(07:59):
expecting something much betterthan that on John Cena's last
match.
And not just the person he willbe wrestling, but also there is
no buildup.
You get to this coming Monday,we'll find out who it is who in
six days will be facing JohnCena, you know, on Saturday
night's main event.
There's no buildup, there's noheat.

(08:20):
He doesn't know who it's gonnabe.
There's no big time feel to hislast match.
Am I missing something?

SPEAKER_00 (08:28):
No, I don't think you are, and I think, you know,
just you know, me and me knowingthe wrestling business, I think
Cena knows what time it is.
So just take whoever they putyou in there with, man, do
whatever needs to be done, andyou're out.

SPEAKER_01 (08:40):
He he can't change what's happening.

SPEAKER_00 (08:42):
And I honestly believe that.
No, he don't have the power tochange what's happening.
He could if there was adifferent person in power, but
he don't not who's in power now,he can't change nothing.

SPEAKER_01 (08:53):
No, and it's unfortunate because they had an
opportunity to really dosomething big with John Cena
over this last year, and it'sjust been a mess from the
get-go.
They didn't know if he wanted tobe a heel or if he's gonna be a
face.
He did whatever they asked himto do, and he did the best with
it.

SPEAKER_00 (09:10):
Well, that's how you know sometimes TV, they you
know, they try and do a thingback in the day they call
barrier on TV, you know, and soyou gotta look out for that too.
And that's still happening, sobut a lot of talent today don't
know.
They don't know that from theolden days.
So, but I see it, and uh a lotof guys that it's happening to,
like Cena, he sees it.
So, you understand?
I think he knows he's doing theright thing.

(09:32):
Congratulations to him.
He's got a good deal, I guess, now, uh in Hollywood, where he
can start doing some movies anddoing some other stuff, and uh
that's great.
He's got that to fall back on.
So there might be a littlejealousy there, too.

SPEAKER_01 (09:44):
And you know, it's it's sad because here's a guy
who represented your companyjust as well as any of the other
bigger stars like Hulk Hogan andother people.
He was a big name for yourcompany.
Wouldn't you want him to go outlooking like the guy that you
always portrayed him to be andnot something less?
It makes no sense.

SPEAKER_00 (10:05):
I don't know, and I hope I'm I'm not wrong, but if
it was Vince in charge, he wouldhave the biggest send-dog you
have ever seen in your life.
Vince would make that thebiggest buildup, you know what I
mean.
He would make it mean something.
You when you saw John Cena forthe last time, you're gonna
remember when you walked out ofthat arena, I saw something

(10:26):
tonight that's gonna stick withme for the rest of my life.
Yes, John Cena meant somethingto us.
You know what I mean?
That's the feel you're gonnahave.

SPEAKER_01 (10:34):
And and think about it.
Now you're gonna go to that lastmatch, and whether he wins or
loses, you know, his opponent'sgonna be either Gunther or LA
Knight.
I'm not sure it helps them anythat much at all.

SPEAKER_00 (10:48):
It doesn't do anything for him because they're
not beating him.
No.
So if they were beating him, Imean, well, I don't know.
We don't know.
We never know here.
But if they were, if they weregoing over on him, then you know
what I mean.
That that would certainly helphim.
But them by coming in, you know, and putting him over for his
last match, that doesn't ain'tdo anything.
It makes them, whoever that is,that did business and they're a

(11:09):
gentleman.

SPEAKER_01 (11:09):
I still wonder on Saturday night's main event, I
feel like that's a feel-goodmoment that you would expect
would be a feel-good moment whenit happens, Teddy.
When he finally hears the bellat the end of the match, whether
he's you know looking at thelights or if his hand's getting
raised.
I I tend to believe they'regonna raise his hand because I
think that's what Saturdaynight's main event, they're

(11:30):
gonna want.
They're gonna want that goodfeel.
So that means that he would haveto beat either Gunther or LA
Knight.
So the story means nothing.
The opponent meant nothing.
It's just a way for him just toquietly go away.
Yeah.
All right, let's see.

(11:51):
Uh Pee-wee, uh, I've beenreading your stuff in here, uh,
buddy.
Let me tell you what happened.
Uh, there's been a couple peoplewho have uh reached out to me
and told me that they did notget their shirts.
So I've resent the shirts, butthe only problem, Pee-wee, with
yours is that uh that size I nolonger have.
I sent you the only 4x we had.
So I what we're doing, we aregetting some hats made.

(12:12):
Uh, and win those hats, that wayit doesn't matter you know what
size you are, it'll fit.

SPEAKER_00 (12:17):
So yeah, yeah, I'm gonna pick, I'm getting, yeah,
thank you for reminding uheverybody too.
Yeah, we're gonna get some uhhats with the road trip out the
islands logo.
Mac and Teddy will be on onthere too.
And uh uh we're getting I'mworking on them right now, so
we're gonna have those prettysoon.
And so we'll be able to, youknow, to take care of people.

SPEAKER_01 (12:33):
Yeah, and and so uh that'll be the only one I'm
missing out.
Everybody else, uh, youeverything's been resent.
So if you have a problem after afew more days, call and let me
know, or send me an email.
Uh, it's not surprising.
I've had issues here before, andI'm living in a little small cow
town, as Teddy can tell you.
Uh no, no offense to the people.
God, I'll get I'm gonna getbanished from the community now.

(12:54):
No, no, I love it here.
I love it here.

SPEAKER_00 (12:56):
Population uh 75.

SPEAKER_01 (13:02):
It's it's a quiet town, and and I love it that
way.
All right, so let's see.

SPEAKER_00 (13:06):
Uh, so people make any noise, there's nobody there.
That's true.

SPEAKER_01 (13:11):
But I can see the stars at night when it's starry
outside.
That's something I do enjoy.
Uh, let's see, what do we havehere?
Uh plot twist Jones popping in.
Hey guys, what's going on?
Uh, hope all is well.
We hope the same for you, plottwist.
Thank you, plot.
Uh, let's see.
Here he I knew he'd be in heresomewhere.
Zach Minger, it's NationalCookie Day, Teddy.

SPEAKER_00 (13:33):
I've just about had it with you, Zach.
Okay, every time you come inhere every week is about some
stuff that makes you fat.
I don't want to know nothingabout National Cookie Day.

SPEAKER_01 (13:44):
By the way, uh plot twist Jones did say he was uh he
the same plane flying aroundthere as well.
Uh we were from about youunderstand now, Teddy.
Ted Teddy's got a thing withglaucoma, so you know he hasn't
tried to fix that issue.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (14:03):
Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (14:05):
Uh let's see.
Um, I'm not sure what he'sreferring to, but well said,
Teddy.
I guess he was talking aboutwhen we were talking about uh
today's wrestling in John Cena.
Yeah.
Uh and Pat Rose saying, Youcan't hey Pat.

SPEAKER_00 (14:18):
Yeah, that's where I was looking there to see.
Yeah, God, Pat.
Good to hear from you, my man.
God to see you, man.
Happy holidays to you, Pat.

SPEAKER_01 (14:26):
You know, Pat Rose.
His son is uh been doing somewrestling too.
I've seen him.
That's a big boy.

SPEAKER_00 (14:33):
Okay, all right.
Well, if he if he took after hisdaddy, he's gonna be tough.

SPEAKER_01 (14:36):
Yeah, yeah.
You he looks like his dad.
He's he's he's got his dadthat's been teaching him all
along the way, and not onlythat, his son uh Pat.
See, you you may think I don'tkeep up with you, but I do.
Uh, his son is also uh in a bandor he he plays with bands, he's
really good.
He's really, really good.

SPEAKER_00 (14:55):
Well, good with Pat checking in with us, man.
Thank you so much.
And tell your son, congratulations, and good luck
to him with uh whatever he'sgonna do.
And uh maybe somewhere we canget together, we'll see each
other down the road somewhere.
But stick with us and give Macyour number and stuff, man.
We'd maybe like to have you hereon the podcast and uh talk about
your son.

SPEAKER_01 (15:13):
You know, uh we've uh Pat Pat knows how to get in
touch with me.
And uh, I'm sure if he if hewants to, yeah, send me a
message in the messenger andwe'll take care of things.
Uh yeah, Pat's a good guy.
I've known Pat for years.

SPEAKER_00 (15:23):
Oh god, I was Pat was I was putting up the ring,
taking the ring down.
Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_01 (15:30):
Curly man popping in the room saying, Hey Teddy and
Mac.
Hello, Curly Man.
Look at this one here now.
We've got uh Money Mac in heresaying, Hello, gentlemen, coming
to you from San Francisco,California in the Bay Area.

SPEAKER_00 (15:43):
Or well, hey, thanks a lot.
We appreciate that.
Watching us way out in LA.

SPEAKER_01 (15:48):
Where was it?
We had one last where was it yeslast week, Teddy?
It was uh oh, it was out in thecountry, it was in the
Philippines, right?

SPEAKER_00 (15:57):
Something like that.
Yeah, Philippines.

SPEAKER_01 (15:59):
Yeah, uh guys, you know, let us know where you're
uh watching from too, because uhthat surprised me to hear some
of those uh when we heard them.
Uh look here.
Nick is in the room.
Uh Nick, he knows I reached outto him this week.
They need to bring in Edge.
Uh, yes, Nick, I totally, totally agree.
That's the only thing that makessense to me for a final match

(16:19):
with John Cena.
If that's a possibility, itshould be Edge.
Um I've seen Chris Jericholately, and he's looking like
he's been in the gym and lost alot of weight.
I'm not sure what the latest iswith Chris, but that would be
another one that would beinteresting.
But then again, Chris Jericho isone of those guys where you

(16:41):
could build that up and make itso hot, but you don't allow him
the time to do it.
That's again, I think it's amistake that you don't have
something to build to a huge bigtime fight field.

SPEAKER_00 (16:51):
That's that's why it's not done because it needs
to be done.

SPEAKER_01 (16:55):
Well, there you go.
Do something different.
Uh let's see, Pee-wee.
Uh, what up, Teddy?
What up, Mac?
We're mad, Mac.
Good to see you in here, brother.
What's up, Pee-wee?
Uh, let's see.
What else we got here?
We got a lot of you in here.
Money Mac saying, how about JoeHendry versus John Cena for
Cena's last match?

SPEAKER_00 (17:14):
I like Joe Hendry, but I don't think that that I
don't think Joe Hendry is readyfor that yet.

SPEAKER_01 (17:19):
No, and I don't want anything negative to get rubbed
off on Joe Hendry if he ended upbeating Cena or something, you
know, because that could hurthim, I think, if fans are really
upset.
They might hold that grudge thathe put John Cena out in his last
match.
You know, fans can be that waysometimes.

SPEAKER_00 (17:34):
I don't think it's so much as that.
I just think this, I mean, Idon't know.
You know what I mean?
It just just doesn't have thefeel to me.
You know what I mean?
Nothing wrong with Hendry.
Golly, what a great guy.
Uh great, and then and cancertainly work his butt off in
the ring.
But uh, you know, it's just itjust to me, I it just that
doesn't work for me.

SPEAKER_01 (17:55):
Yeah, and speaking of Joe Hendry uh in our mailbag
this week, there's a questionabout that.
So let's get that open up.

SPEAKER_04 (18:08):
Letters.
Oh, we get letters, we get yourletters every day.
I love those letters.
Let's find out what you gottoday.
Oh boy, bad, bail today.

SPEAKER_01 (18:39):
Okay, he was asking about Joe Hendry a moment ago,
who of course was was recentlywith TNA until he just joined
WWE.
And uh, so our question comingin from Kemper in Colorado.
He's asking, what are yourthoughts on TNA getting a TV
deal with AMC Network forThursday night impact?

(19:02):
And Teddy, if you haven't heard, they have got a new home for TNA
now, and that is going to be onthe AMC network.
Uh, it's gonna be on Thursdaynights.
I'm I'm not sure if it's gonnabe live or if it'd be
pre-recorded and presented.
Uh so I'm not sure about that, but it almost doubles their
current uh possible viewers oncable.

(19:22):
So that's good news for them.

SPEAKER_00 (19:24):
Yeah, that's what I was saying.
Uh congratulations to them.
I mean, anytime you can get a TVdeal, that's that's good stuff.
Yeah, and if they're like yousay, on a great network there
that they're gonna be on.
So congratulations to them, man.
They're making progress.
Hopefully, you know, when theyget on this new TV and stuff,
they'll do things right and uh,you know, maybe you know they'll
go from there.

SPEAKER_01 (19:45):
Nick Patrick popping in and confirming he can uh be
with us next Thursday night.
So uh Nick, we look forward tohaving Nick Patrick on the show
next Thursday night, unlesssomething happens, Joe.
And I understand something hasto change.
Uh, but we plan on seeing younext Thursday night, and that'll
be a lot of fun.
On uh, what's that name again,Teddy?
What's that?
Glicko Beak.
Glicko Beak.

(20:05):
We're gonna have to talk aboutGlicko Beak.
Uh let's see.
Tim Woody.
Oh, and Tim Woody.
No, wait, hold on.
Tim Woody, where'd you go?
Tim, I think I may have just gotrid of you by accident, and I
didn't mean to.
But Tim Woody was in here.
I got he's in West Virginia, iswhat he was telling me.

SPEAKER_00 (20:23):
Well, Tim Woody is the guy that's behind uh big
thing there in Western Salem uhevery year, wrestle cade.
So uh Tim Woody is one of thoseguys.
So uh let's uh and Tim, youknow, he was a worker back in
the day, as a lot of people mayremember.
But uh Tim has had some problemsand issues a little bit, but I
think his health is uh doing, Ithink he's doing real good now,
and then so he's coming backaround.

(20:44):
So Tim, if you can get back inhere, man, we won't we'd like to
holler at you.

SPEAKER_01 (20:48):
Yeah, man, I'm sorry that I every once in a while I
get double click on something,it'll just disappear.
And I guess I delete it, and Idon't mean to.
Uh, but Tim, yeah, I know Timvery well.
Uh Tim has been in the hospitaloff and on over the last uh
couple of years.
He's had a rough go of it, buthe keeps kicking and fighting,
and that's the thing.
Uh you know, as long as he keepskicking and waking up every day,

(21:08):
I'm sure he's happy along witheverybody else in that family.
Uh but Tim's a good guy, andyeah, I the first time we met
him was God, what was that aboutthree, four years ago when I
first met him?
Uh, that was in uh in NorthCarolina.
We're there for the same thingyou went for just recently.
Yeah, Russell Gay.
Yeah, Russell Gate.
All right, let's see.
Tyro, there's yeah, Ty is hisson.

(21:29):
Pat Rose's uh son's name is Ty.
Uh, and Ty Rose uh is saying,Hey guys, good to see you in
here, Ty.

SPEAKER_00 (21:37):
Hey gay, good good to see you, Ty, man, and
congratulations to you.
And you got a great dad, man.
Me and him worked uh back in theday many, many years.
So your father's outstanding, man, and you just keep up the
good work.

SPEAKER_01 (21:48):
You know, Pat does a uh show, I thought he was up
until recently, maybe not now,I'm not sure, but uh it was a
fishing show, and he would talkabout fishing, and uh you know
he I think he went out in theboats and stuff like that, and
yeah, really cool stuff.
So he he's a really cool guy.
Al in Detroit, Teddy.

(22:08):
I'm trying to read ahead of thisa little bit.
Okay, Teddy, can you compare theold NWA Jim Crockett days of
wrestling to today's environmentwhen it comes to partying?

SPEAKER_00 (22:22):
Comes to partying?

SPEAKER_01 (22:24):
Yeah, yeah.
I I guess he means like what waspartying like back in the in the
days of the NWA versus how it istoday?

SPEAKER_00 (22:31):
Well, I couldn't, I that's a question I can't answer
because I don't party.
And I did a little bit back, youknow, back in the day, but
golly, I quit partying maybeover 20-something years ago.
I hadn't had a drink of alcoholin 20 years.
So let me let me ask you thisstudy.

SPEAKER_01 (22:46):
I I because I'm trying to figure out what he's
actually asking, but I I'mthinking that maybe back in the
uh in the NWA, it was probablymore prevalent.
Maybe I should I should saythat, that maybe you saw it more
then than you do today.

SPEAKER_00 (23:00):
I don't think guys do it anymore.
I'm not mean I'm not in the mixanymore, but I don't really
think guys hang out and drink atthe bars like they used to do
back in the day.
I don't think that that I don'tthink guys do that anymore.
Yeah, a lot of things, you know,a lot of guys you see now when I
was there, you know, when theytake off you, you gotta drive to
another town or however you gotto do it, but they go to their

(23:20):
hotel rooms, everybody's gone,you know.
They know bar hanging out nomore.
Sometimes you'll see a lot ofguys like when the first night
we come in for the show, uh,maybe TV, like all the guys will
be at the bar downstairs then uhthat night before Monday night
raw or something.
But after that, you know, Ithink that's about it.

SPEAKER_01 (23:37):
Yeah, well, you're not there there that yeah, easy
for me to say you're not therethat long, anyhow.
Yeah, I mean you're in and out,so you're trying to get a lot of
things done in a short amount oftime.
And if you have that free time, you're lucky, I would imagine.

SPEAKER_00 (23:51):
Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_01 (23:53):
You'd rather be asleep in most cases.
Yeah, let's see.
Uh yeah, we got time for anotherone here.
Yeah, okay.
Uh Gene, Gene, Gene, the fartingmachine.

SPEAKER_00 (24:07):
Well, I only seen one guy was a farting machine,
and that was Peter Griffin fromVemigas.

SPEAKER_01 (24:16):
Let me ask you, you've been in the car with a
lot of people over the years.

SPEAKER_00 (24:19):
Oh, come on.

SPEAKER_01 (24:20):
There's gotta be somebody that was like, I will
never ride with them againbecause all they do is just
fart.

SPEAKER_00 (24:27):
Oh, God, man.
Well, I mean, a lot of guys didit for the hell of it.
And a lot of guys, you know, just you know, they say, Man,
excuse me, man, we're gonna letI'm gonna let the window down,
but I got that blow on.
And uh, but some guy wouldn'ttell you not.
Oh Bradshaw, he was the worst.
He wouldn't tell you nothing, and all of a sudden you start

(24:49):
smelling this stink, and thenyou look at him, and then he's
looking back, what like like hedon't like he don't even know
what's going on.
Oh, Bradshaw, yeah, there yougo.
He was the worst.

SPEAKER_01 (25:02):
Here's the thing, too.
A lot of guys that are inwrestling, you know, there's a
lot of protein drinks and stuff, guys eating protein bars.
Oh, but when those things comeout the other end, they can
stink really bad.
They are horrible.
Yes, yes.
Uh I know that's probably morethan y'all want to hear about
tonight, but it's the truth.

(25:22):
Uh see Renee Adams is popping inhere and say, I got again added
to block.
I'm not trying to block anybody.
Uh Renee Adams just popped inthough, and she said hello
again.
I I got Renee.

SPEAKER_00 (25:33):
Yeah, well, you know, she's a worker, Renee.
Uh, she does a lot of stuff, man.
Great, great work.
I had a chance to work with her.

unknown (25:40):
All right.

SPEAKER_01 (25:40):
So I gotta get back to Jean Jean the Farting
machine.
Uh that's it.
Yeah, I you sure you weren't inthat cloud.
Yeah, I I think that plane flewthrough here.
Uh let's see.
This is a good question, though,Teddy.
You gotta think about this onenow.
So, I mean, really think aboutthis.
You get to erase one moment inyour wrestling career, any

(26:04):
moment, what is it and why?

SPEAKER_00 (26:10):
You said get to erase, you get to erase, you get
to it never happened.
I'd like to erase ever having towork under the uh the the
guidance of John Larnidas.

SPEAKER_01 (26:24):
You would like to change that and erase that
forever?

SPEAKER_00 (26:26):
I'd like to erase that I completely out of my
life.
And there's some other peopletoo I'd like to erase too, but I
ain't going into all that.
But he was he was the worst.

SPEAKER_01 (26:35):
And and it's and it look most people who are
watching, you've seen enoughstories, other people saying
very similar things.
After you hear it so many timesfrom so many different people,
there's no mistake in my mindthat something wasn't right
backstage.
And anytime you hear anybody sayanything, they're speaking
truth.

SPEAKER_00 (26:52):
Maybe a lot of people, I don't know whether
they follow Maven or not, butMaven has a podcast now that
he's doing, and I've beenwatching that, and he did just
finish talking to Mike Yoda, andthey would talk about how the
referees get paid.
And uh let uh if you find thatplay that and let Mike Kyota
tell you what Lon Nitus did tohim, a guy that's been in this
business over 30-some years anddidn't want to give him a raise,

(27:14):
you know what I mean?
And then took him out.
I'd rather let you watch it, letMike Yoda tell you himself.

SPEAKER_01 (27:20):
Yeah, in fact, I have seen that.
I saw it just yesterday, I guessit was.
So if you have not seen that, pull that up.
Uh, it is is it's veryinteresting when you hear those
stories, uh, especially uhbecause I when I hear him say
that, and that's the reason Ibrought that up, is that when I
heard him say that, I'm hearingTeddy too, because I've heard
stories just like that fromTeddy.

(27:40):
I've heard stories just likethat from other people, uh not
people I would even mentionright now because they didn't
say so.
But the fact is that I know thatit's a a repetitive pattern when
it comes to him and a lot ofpeople that worked behind the
scenes, both male and female, uhfor that matter, who were felt
they were disrespected uhbackstage by that individual.

(28:02):
Uh let's see uh what we gothere.
We have plot twist Jones saying,Teddy, I once asked about Brad
Maddox getting fired after apromo.
Dutch reminded me, and JBL readthe story.
He called us pricks.
I was in the crowd.
I was in the crowd.
Were you there?
Do you understand what that is?

SPEAKER_00 (28:23):
No, I don't know really understand what he's
talking about.
Uh Brad Maddox, Brad Maddox wasjust horrible.
Okay, so I mean, I'm justtelling you my opinion.
Okay, Brad Maddox Vince took aliking, I guess, to him and
tried to you know give him abreak.
But to me, he was horrible.

SPEAKER_01 (28:39):
Uh, let's see, Nick Patrick uh saying excellent
erase, Teddy.

SPEAKER_00 (28:44):
See tell you see, more people would agree with
Teddy than disagree.

SPEAKER_01 (28:50):
I promise you that.

SPEAKER_00 (28:51):
Well, ain't nobody got we don't have no reason to
lie on nobody, you know what Imean.
I I'm gonna tell you the truthand tell you just like it is.
Like I said, Lauren Isa is justa name.
Uh, there's some I could call, you know, that you probably
wouldn't even believe, but I'mgonna leave that alone for now.

SPEAKER_01 (29:05):
Yep, yep.
Uh speaking of which, I need totalk to you about something
soon, Teddy.
Uh, by the way, uh, you've sentme something.
You tell me about the Abdullahthe Butcher event.

SPEAKER_00 (29:15):
There's something coming up that uh January 9th
and the 10th.
If you could find it, it has thelocation and everything, but
it's here in Atlanta, Georgia.
Um, we're gonna try to, youknow, you know, Abdullah's uh
been under the weather a littlebit, been in the hospital and
stuff, so he's kind ofrecuperating, recovering.
So uh we're gonna do a deal forhim, you know, and you know, try
to get you know some stuff withAbdullah.

(29:36):
He's a great guy, and I feellike he deserves, you know,
whatever we can do for him.

SPEAKER_01 (29:40):
Yeah, and it's uh on Saturday, January 10th.
Uh it's an annual black tie, purple carpet, birthday
celebration, and awards banquet.
Uh, it's at the Prince HallGrand Lodge.
That's on the Old NationalHighway in Riverdale, Georgia.
Uh, tickets uh are available aswell.
And I'm trying to see if thereis an address here or a link to

(30:03):
go to, and I don't see one.
Uh so just look up Abdul theButcher on Facebook.
Uh, you'll find him and they'llhave more information there.

SPEAKER_00 (30:10):
Um, and I'll be sharing the information too, and
uh because I'm gonna be a partof it.
Ron Simmons is gonna be there,he's gonna be a part of it.
So uh we'll certainly be sharingthe information too.
We'll be getting it out there.

SPEAKER_01 (30:23):
You know, I think I mentioned last week that we
added Twitch as one of ourfeeds.
I don't know how that works.
I'm gonna pull it up while we'resitting here and just to see if
we're actually on Twitch.
Maybe some of you have comethrough Twitch.
You see, I see Facebook andYouTube is uh people in the
room.
Uh so maybe not.
Let's see.
Uh oh, I got no internet rightnow.

(30:45):
Okay, because I'm directlyplugged in, so I can't do it.
So, anyhow, you know, if uh Igotta check it.
I gotta see if the Twitch thingit says it's on the air on uh
Twitch as well.
I just haven't seen any signthat we actually are live on
Twitch since we started.

SPEAKER_00 (30:58):
So what is that, a news site or something?

SPEAKER_01 (31:01):
It's one of these other social media sites that
everybody goes to where you canstream live content like this.
Uh that way when we do the show,we're we're going to Facebook,
YouTube, Twitch, uh, and anyother channel that we can get uh
on.
But you know, we've got to go.

SPEAKER_00 (31:18):
You can check once we're off, right?

SPEAKER_01 (31:20):
Well, see, the problem is once we get off,
there's no sign that it's there.
Yes, because I'll be off theair.
Uh, and every time I go and lookat the page where we are,
there's nothing there.
And I'm thinking, I know it'ssupposed to be sending to
Twitch.

SPEAKER_00 (31:33):
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (31:34):
Anyhow.

SPEAKER_00 (31:34):
I thought you could go once we we were off, you
could go back to Twitch and andpull it up and see if they uh
recorded us or if we hadanything on there.

SPEAKER_01 (31:45):
Uh uh Twist Jones saying he had a dark match.
And oh, this is a Brad Maddoxagain.
He had a dark match and then hehad a promo.
He called the fans pricks.
I know he was going to be fired, but I didn't expect it to be
that same night.
I guess he got fired uh thatnight uh after delivering the
promo.

SPEAKER_00 (32:04):
It's it's real simple.
You don't it didn't nobody tellhim to go out there and say
that.
So, like I said, a lot of peoplethey get mad and stuff when they
get fired and stuff, but forsaying stuff.
You gotta understand.
I understood this part.
Vince McMahon has abillion-dollar operation going
here.
One word can cause everything tocollapse.
So you gotta be careful.

(32:25):
The man's got to be watch outwho he he's got to be able to
trust people when you walk outthere on that live TV with a
microphone in your hand.

SPEAKER_01 (32:32):
Yeah, because that's a lot of money he can lose real
fast.

SPEAKER_00 (32:36):
Real fast.
Especially when you don't knowthat they're gonna say that,
that there's no writers writethat.
That comes out of his own mouth,so you don't need you're not
expecting it, you know, becauseyou you know it wasn't written.

SPEAKER_01 (32:46):
And I would imagine that Vince McMahon was very
strict when it came to word forword of these promos.
Uh may not be that way now, butby that time you said what was
on the script, and you didn't gooutside of that script without
approval first, right?

SPEAKER_00 (33:02):
And that's the way it was.
That yeah, exactly.
That's how it was.
So you knew better.
Teddy, where are you gonna be?

SPEAKER_01 (33:08):
Anywhere uh you're gonna be heading to recently or
coming out?

SPEAKER_00 (33:10):
Uh no, I'm gonna take it easy.
I had a great Thanksgiving, hada chance to go with uh spend the
Thanksgiving week with Denise.
Uh had a lot of God, man.
I'm I'm I'm I'm working out, I'mdoubling up my cardio a little
bit because I'm still working onThanksgiving.
Uh but uh had some great foodand everything, man.
Had a great time with her and uhthe family.
Um uh that's about I'm probablygonna go back up uh for the

(33:33):
Christmas and uh then I'm gonnacome back home and uh spend a
little time with Rufus.

SPEAKER_01 (33:38):
Yeah, yeah, you're gonna gain 30, 40 pounds before
this holiday season's over with.
No, no.
All right, we're out of here.
We come back, of course, we'relive every Thursday night, 7
o'clock Eastern Standard Time, right here on Facebook, YouTube,
and Twitch, and wherever else wemay pop up if we actually are
there.
I I'm still trying to predict myso, anyhow, we're out of here.

(34:01):
