SPEAKER_01 (00:23):
And you know, I'm
just sitting here wondering
what's going through Teddy'shead right now because I'm gonna
tell you what's going through myhead right now.
SPEAKER_00 (00:30):
I have asked you
over and over about that
horrible music.
I have asked you about that.
Well, you just insist on playingit.
So, ladies and gentlemen, players, anybody that's
listening to me, if y'all haveany music or would you suggest
some music that we could use forour intro, will you please send
it to us or just get it to ussome kind of way?
(00:53):
I can't take this horrible musicanymore.
It's it's it's unbelievable.
Well, what about this one?
SPEAKER_01 (00:58):
Let's do this any
better?
SPEAKER_00 (01:13):
I rest my case.
SPEAKER_01 (01:17):
Teddy, how are you,
my friend?
SPEAKER_00 (01:19):
How are you?
SPEAKER_01 (01:20):
Man, I'm doing
great.
It's the you got me.
SPEAKER_00 (01:23):
That's good.
SPEAKER_01 (01:23):
You got me.
Hey, I've got several of those.
I need to pop up some of the oldstuff we used to use that uh
were kind of outrageous.
I over the uh last couple ofdays, I saw something and I
saved it because I wanted to seehow you would choose this.
Uh, and by the way, those of youwho are coming into the room,
welcome to the show.
(01:44):
We're all brand new live rightnow, seven o'clock here, Eastern
Standard Time.
Uh, I'm your host, Mack Davis.
And of course, with me is WWEHall of Famer, Mr.
Teddy Long.
Hall of Players.
All right, Teddy.
There was this thing.
Uh, I got this from the websiteuh uh Backstage Brawl, I think
this is where this came from.
(02:05):
And it was choosing from severaldifferent uh groups.
You can only choose one name ofthe next three groups of names
I'm gonna give you.
Now, the first one that they haduh choices of or to retire one,
and the names they had were JohnCena, Roman Reigns, and Cody
(02:28):
Rhodes.
If you were to retire one, whichone would you retire?
SPEAKER_00 (02:34):
Well, that's uh God,
that's a hard question.
Uh, all three of these guys arejust phenomenal.
Uh it's gonna be, you know, abig loss uh when Cena goes.
If he ever goes, you know, therehe's really gonna be missed.
Uh uh guy, I don't know, man,but you know, maybe to think
about it, and I think uh withCody Rhodes, you know, he's a
married man now.
(02:54):
I think he has kids and stuff.
So he's a guy, you know, thatwhile he's still in his prime,
you know, and you know, gotsome, you know, time left to
spend with his family, because Ithink maybe this may be his
first kid.
So uh, you know, maybe I'llretire Cody, give him some time
off to, you know, to spend withhis family and you know, enjoy
enjoy the rest of his life alittle bit.
SPEAKER_01 (03:13):
All right, the next
group of names uh were to
release one, to let one of themgo.
And the names they have wereSeth Rollins, Jay Uso, and Logan
Paul.
SPEAKER_00 (03:29):
Well, you that you
can't answer that.
You can't.
There is no way they could letany any three of those guys go.
Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_01 (03:37):
If you were forced,
if you were forced and they
said, hey, Teddy, we've only gotuh enough for two guys.
You've got to choose one to letgo.
Which one of those three are yougonna choose?
SPEAKER_00 (03:47):
Well, if I was
forced to do that, I'm just
saying I wouldn't do this on myown, but if I was forced to do
that, it would have to be LoganPaul.
And the reason I say Logan Paulis because he's already
established, you know what Imean?
He's already known, you know,he's got another career before
he got into wrestling.
So I don't think it would hurthim, you know, whatsoever.
And then if he did go, you know,he could always somewhere down
(04:08):
the line come back.
But uh, like I said, uh thatgolly, you just can't see any of
those guys go.
But like I said, Logan isalready established, he's got
his own thing going, so I wouldprobably be him.
SPEAKER_01 (04:19):
I totally agree with
that because I you know me.
I I've said for a long time, since Logan Paul first got into
WWE, he's one of the stars tome.
I know he's not been there for along time, but every time he
performs, he gives youeverything he has, and you can
tell it.
And I so I've major respect, butlike you, because he's got so
(04:40):
many other options, uh job-wisebehind him.
If I had to let one go, I itwould be him simply because I
think that's the that's the bestway to turn it out, so nobody
really gets hurt, right?
SPEAKER_00 (04:51):
Uh, but yeah, I
understand what you're saying.
All right, and he and then C andLogan can survive after that.
You know, there are a lot ofguys that happens, they they
don't survive.
SPEAKER_01 (04:59):
So, yeah, and by the
way, guys, if you want to join
in the chat, all you got to dois come into the room.
No super chats, you don't haveto buy a damn thing, it's
absolutely free.
Uh, ask your questions, we'llthrow them up on the screen and
uh pretty much uh figure outwhat's on your mind.
SPEAKER_00 (05:15):
Uh don't you just
don't you tell them?
Don't you tell them they don'thave to buy nothing?
I might have something I want tosell them.
Well, what do you want to sellthem?
I don't know.
I'll think about it.
Just you just don't be justtrying to cut off the money.
SPEAKER_01 (05:25):
Okay, well, now look
here.
I'm gonna be holding you to it.
And then by the end of the show, you gotta tell me what you're
selling.
Okay, okay.
Uh let's see.
By the way, Michael Steelepopping in saying pretty awesome
intro.
SPEAKER_00 (05:36):
Oh, wow.
Okay, Michael.
Me and you, we've been buddies along time, play.
Now, which one of those introswas the one that with the harbor
music, or was the last one youseen with uh Teddy Long?
SPEAKER_01 (05:49):
Yeah, oh, your face
is in it, you're happier with
it.
Yes, I I got you now.
Pretty classy lady popping in.
Hey Mac and Teddy, it's nice tosee y'all, and it's always good
to see you, pretty classy lady.
I've been dealing with someserious health issues, and this
stream makes me feel better.
I I hope you get the feelingbetter, pretty classy lady.
I'm sorry to hear that, but uhprayers for you and uh get the
(06:12):
feeling better soon.
SPEAKER_00 (06:13):
Yeah, same thing
here.
Uh, you know, she's a regular, you know, with us every week,
you know, always there, youknow.
So yeah, uh, whatever you'redealing with, I hope you hurry
up and uh start to feel better.
SPEAKER_01 (06:23):
And uh let's see.
Also, Eric Hillbiz.
Hey, Eric, saying, Hey, be nice,Teddy.
I am being nice.
What are you talking about?
And let's see, Michael Steele.
Uh uh, yeah, yeah, he see he'ssaying it was the last one.
That's the one.
SPEAKER_00 (06:38):
Okay, thank you,
Michael.
Thank you.
I I thank you so much.
I appreciate that, player.
SPEAKER_01 (06:43):
Yeah, well, you
know, it's that's the best we
can do.
Or you might like this one here.
I don't know.
SPEAKER_00 (07:25):
So you know how to
know how to cure the moment and
bring them all down.
You're you you're really good atthat.
Everybody's having a great time, and dare you go crash the party.
SPEAKER_01 (07:36):
Okay, let me uh get
into one last part of this
question we were talking aboutbecause I don't want to leave
this one out because this one Ifind very intriguing.
Now, again, you got to pick onename out of the three names I'm
gonna give you, and this iswhere you get to revive one and
your choices Eddie Guerrero,Hulk Hogan, or Bray Wyatt.
SPEAKER_00 (08:02):
Golly, yeah, you
know, my my I I know you're
saying I gotta pick one, but myanswer would be to pick all
three of them.
I wish I could do was able to dothat.
Golly, man.
You gotta pick one.
Yeah, I know, I know, I know, Iknow.
I'm gonna go with uh with BrayWyatt.
(08:23):
Uh, and and and I know I knewhim when he was a baby, man,
when he used to come to thearenas with his daddy, Mike, and
they had a uh rock wilder, andthat dog would sit by him, and
you couldn't go nowhere nearthat bag, man.
I'm telling you, I was rightthere.
So Bray Wyatt, golly uh gone waytoo soon.
SPEAKER_01 (08:42):
Yes, yes, well, way
too soon.
And I, you know, as much as I'dlike to see, like you say, all
three of them, you know, back inthere.
Eddie Guerrero, I I miss, I missEddie Guerrero.
He just has something veryunique.
Even Dom doesn't have uh, youknow, what Eddie had.
Uh Eddie was just somethingspecial.
(09:02):
Uh, would you say that, Teddy?
Because I don't think there'sever been another person even
comes close to Eddie Guerrero.
SPEAKER_00 (09:07):
Oh, well, no, not at
all.
Uh, I had had the opportunity towork with Eddie of a lot of you
know, uh skits that we done.
Uh, and he was just phenomenalto work with, man.
And he went on, and he wasanother guy, you know, that uh I
respected, and he respected mebecause one time I saw him do
something, oh, I think he wasgoing up for the frog splash or
something.
And you know, it wasn't that itwas something minor.
(09:29):
And as he he took when he cameoff to me, I thought he stayed
there just a little too long, you know.
But I mean it was just minor, you know, and he asked me about
it.
I said, Oh, well, Eddie, I saidthe only thing I thought, soon
as you went up, you know, doyour deal and come right on.
I said, because they're up,they're waiting, you know.
And I said, I thought you werejust a little low.
And he took that personal, ohGod, Teddy, you're right, you're
(09:50):
right.
But I'm like, I didn't mean forit to go that way.
He was a being a perfectionist,yeah, yeah.
I mean, I'm just me and him justtalking, you know.
SPEAKER_01 (09:58):
You know, I Eddie uh
during his time with China, uh,
with with Latino heat, man, I Ithat that was a very special
time to me because that's whenEddie came to life for me.
When he when he was more thanjust the performer in the ring,
he had just one hell of a of apersonality that came across on
the screen, and I miss that tothis day because it was just
(10:22):
some people just have itnaturally, and he had it, and it
was all natural, Eddie Guerrero.
SPEAKER_00 (10:28):
Oh yeah, yeah, I him
and Kurt Angle, they were great
together, man.
I think we did a deal with themwhere they tore up my car or
something, I think Eddie did, orsomething.
SPEAKER_01 (10:37):
Yep, I remember he
he tore it up and you caught him
with the ball and with thebaseball back or something like
that, right?
SPEAKER_00 (10:43):
And then he was he
was known to steal, you know,
cheat, lie, cheat, and steal.
So one day we was doing thispromo is me, him and Flair, and
they thought it was over.
And just as Eddie got ready togo, I called him right back.
I hey, get Flair's wallet.
SPEAKER_01 (10:58):
Look, his stuff too
with JBL.
Now, oh yeah, he made JBL andJBL made Eddie Guerrero, both of
them, because that thatstoryline between the two of
them, no matter if you could getinto it, leave it, and come back
to it, it was always hot becausethose two gelled so well
together on screen.
(11:19):
Yeah.
All right, look here.
We got to step away real quickto tell you about a special
event, and then we're gonna comeback with the mailbag and more
of your questions live righthere on Road Trip After Hours.
The International ProfessionalWrestling Hall of Fame Awards
Ceremony live from Albany, NewYork.
(11:40):
We welcome the class of twentytwenty-five.
(13:20):
I know you love that one too.
That's one of your favoritesright there is the mailbag
thing.
SPEAKER_00 (13:24):
SPEAKER_01 (13:28):
By the way, pretty
classy when you pop it in
saying, Mac is trolling youtonight, talking to you with
these videos, Teddy.
SPEAKER_00 (13:35):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
See, even she knows it.
SPEAKER_01 (13:38):
And uh let's see
also uh Eric saying, Love you
guys.
Thanks again for everything youdo.
Hey, man, we appreciate youstopping by and being a part of
the show.
By the way, if you want to dothe same thing, if you want to
do the same thing, all you gottado is uh just leave us a comment
in the comment section.
We'll throw it up on the screen.
Uh, any questions or comments uhwhile we're doing the mailbag
here.
In fact, Teddy, our firstquestion comes from Mark in
(14:02):
Tennessee, who writes You win abillion dollars in the lottery.
What are you buying first?
SPEAKER_00 (14:14):
Uh I don't know what
I'd buy, Prince.
Probably buy Denise the biggestring she's ever had in her
entire life.
Wow, wow.
SPEAKER_01 (14:26):
Okay, man.
That's boo wee.
Teddy, Teddy.
I I tell you what, you know, look here.
I get you have to let me be thebest man at the wedding.
Uh let's see.
SPEAKER_00 (14:36):
Who be the best man
at the wedding?
Me.
Oh, oh.
If you're gonna buy her a ringlike that, man, you know, hey,
well, you're gonna have to besecurity too, though.
That's gonna be a prettyexpensive ring.
I'm gonna need security, guardarm guards, all kind of stuff.
SPEAKER_01 (14:50):
You're probably
gonna need a crane to hold her
hand up because the size of therock that you'll get in that
ring.
SPEAKER_00 (14:54):
So, you know, well,
with that with that kind of
money, I can buy a crane too.
SPEAKER_01 (14:59):
All right, here we
go.
La Daniel in New Jersey asks, what advice would you give
someone trying to get into thebusiness?
Holla.
SPEAKER_00 (15:10):
Well, you know,
that's kind of hard to to to
answer for you, uh uh player, because I I haven't seen you
work.
Uh I don't know whether you doanything with the indies or not,
but just to want to get in thebusiness, you gotta really want
to do this.
But also, you know, if I wereyou, if you if you haven't got
an education, I'd do that first.
Make sure you get a high schooleducation if you want to spend a
little time in college too.
(15:31):
But always get that educationbecause this may not work out
for you.
You might get in this and youmight get hurt or get injured
and you may not be able towrestle again.
So now you gotta have, you know, you if you don't have nothing to
fall back on, then you're gonnabe, you know, kind of left out
there.
So I I think about it and makesure this is really what you
want to do because it ain'tgotta just be wrestling.
There are a lot of jobs here.
Uh referee, uh ringing out, soyou know, a lot of you know, you
(15:54):
know, a lot of things you can doin this business now.
So uh, but that's my advice.
Get your education first andmake sure you got something to
fall back on and then live yourdream.
SPEAKER_01 (16:03):
You know, Teddy, one
of the things that I did notice
in the independence is thatthere is a lack of training for
much more than being a wrestler,uh, because the independents
really aren't set up, I guess,in the in in the way that they
are now, to where you canactually have promo classes, you
know, and stuff like that.
And that really is something Ithink that is missing in the
(16:26):
independent wrestling sceneright now.
Because, like you say, they goin there, you can find great
advice on wrestling, you canfind a school somewhere that
teach you how to wrestle, butnot many schools offer, you
know, the the other side of thecoin when it comes to wrestling
and all the other jobs we talkedabout.
SPEAKER_00 (16:41):
If you want to know
about it, you know, that they
couldn't offer it because theydidn't know it, didn't know how
to do it.
They didn't have nobody thatthey they might have had
somebody that could haveprobably teached a promo class,
but they didn't even know that, you know, and they wouldn't even
then with them not knowing it,they wouldn't even know how to
teach it.
They wouldn't need, you know, yeah, there's yeah, the endings
were bad.
So what you just need somebodywith some type of knowledge to
(17:04):
guide you.
If you'll follow the leader, youknow you'll be all right if he's
leading you in the rightdirection.
SPEAKER_01 (17:10):
What's what do you
think are some of the biggest
misconceptions for people whenthey want to get into wrestling,
Teddy?
What do you think are some ofthe biggest misconceptions by
people about getting intowrestling?
Things that they think are, oh,this is going to be easy, that
maybe it's really not.
You know, uh I'm heard I'm sureyou've seen people come up to
you that you look at them andthey say they want to be a
wrestler and they look like theymay be a hundred pounds soaking
(17:32):
wet.
I mean, you know, you got to benice, but you have to be honest
too, right?
SPEAKER_00 (17:36):
Yeah, but like I
said, I my thing is this take
your time, think about it.
Yeah, I never tell them, youknow, okay, my man, I just don't
see you making it, or I don'tsee there's nothing in you.
I don't never discourageanybody.
I just tell them, you know, takeyour time, make sure you this is
what you want to do.
Because I'm saying this job isis not promised to you.
You can be working tonight andbe gone tomorrow, uh, unless you
(17:59):
got a contract or something.
Now, you know, it lives a littlebetter for some people, but
everybody don't even havecontracts.
So uh yeah, yeah.
If you got something else youcan do uh, but if this is your
dream, you want to do it, thenyou know, I've more power to
you.
SPEAKER_01 (18:11):
Hey, look, you're a
challenge to the independent
guys uh that runningorganizations out there, find
somebody like Teddy or somebodyelse with that background
knowledge that they can share ina class that's not just about,
you know, come to our wrestlingclass before the show and we'll
train you on how to do things.
Offer something different, offerthe guys ringing out.
SPEAKER_00 (18:33):
And they don't do
that, you know what I mean?
Like I said, you can have likeon some of the indie shows, you
know, have the guys get there anhour earlier, you know what I
mean, then set up a sessionright there where you can ask
questions.
Uh what are we gonna do here?
What why would why would I dothis?
You know, there's a lot ofthings that they could do, but
the guys just really just careabout getting the the money, you
know, just throwing matchestogether and you know, like, yo,
(18:55):
hey, we got what we got, thatwe're out of here.
SPEAKER_01 (18:58):
Yeah, but you know,
I just love to see more of that
uh the showbiz side of thewrestling uh be taught just as
much as some of the wrestling isbeing taught right now.
All right, uh let's see.
Terrence on Facebook wants toknow you were at Vince McMahon's
birthday party.
Can you describe the atmosphere, such as how was it uh decorated
(19:20):
and what was the meal?
Did you did Vince speak?
Keep hustling.
SPEAKER_00 (19:26):
Uh Vince did speak,
uh, made a nice speech.
He also uh brought his uhgrandkids up, and uh they all
they sang happy birthday to him.
Uh the atmosphere was just fine.
I mean, I had a great time.
I was sitting uh at Vince'stable, and uh the the
entertainment for the night wasJelly Rose.
So that was the first time I hada chance to see him in person,
but he he was great, he done agreat job.
(19:48):
I enjoyed him.
And um, you know, everything wasjust great.
Godfather, uh, that BookerTaker, we all, you know, was
right together there, you know.
And I I you know I looked atthat and I'm like, golly, you
know, I'm with the heavyhitters.
SPEAKER_01 (20:02):
So Teddy, I know I I
know that you uh we showed this
on a previous show, uh, the thebust of Vince McMahon uh that
you received.
I don't know if you know thisbecause I don't think you and I
have not had a chance to talk asmuch as we used to because I've
been busy.
But uh when it comes to VinceMcMahon and that's that
particular bust, only 100 ofthose were made.
(20:24):
And only 100 of his closestreceived that uh head bust.
Uh so I didn't know if you knewthat, but uh that was something
I did see uh that was up on theinternet, and I was like, wow, I
didn't know that.
SPEAKER_00 (20:36):
I thought everybody
was in I was in uh one of that
100.
SPEAKER_01 (20:40):
Yeah, yeah.
That's that's pretty much uhwhat it came down to.
Yeah, I let's see.
Uh Michael, hey Michael, good tosee you in here.
Hey, Mac and Teddy.
Teddy 2005 championship JBL wassupposed to win SmackDown
Championship.
Look like uh, are you able totalk about that, Teddy?
Uh hold on.
(21:00):
Um uh SmackDown Championshiplook alike.
Um I'm not quite sure whatyou're asking, Michael, and I
wish I did.
Uh if you clarify it.
SPEAKER_00 (21:12):
2005 championship,
JBL was supposed to win.
Okay, I guess the SmackDowntitle of something uh I don't
know.
To look I I yeah, I don't Ican't understand that either.
SPEAKER_01 (21:25):
Yeah, brother.
I I'm sorry, I just I'm notquite sure what you're asking.
Um, and Teddy, I don't know, even if you could, could you
remember something from 2005like that?
unknown (21:35):
No.
SPEAKER_01 (21:36):
I was about to say,
I don't know if I could even
remember for sure.
It sounds like it may be a kindof a uh a particular thing,
something to do with the belt.
SPEAKER_00 (21:43):
But I let's see.
Uh what I have consumed a lot ofstuff since 2005.
There's no way for me to I tellI tell that to Denise all the
time.
I said, I can't remember.
She gets hot at me because Ican't remember stuff.
I'm like Denise, do you realizewhat I have put in me?
SPEAKER_01 (22:03):
Not only that, but
I'm sorry, as you get a little
bit older, your mind's not quiteas quick as it used to be.
My mind does that all the time.
SPEAKER_00 (22:11):
No, well, it ain't
that.
It's just brother, I've consumeda lot of illegal products.
SPEAKER_01 (22:18):
See what happens,
kids.
SPEAKER_00 (22:20):
Don't do drugs,
right?
I'm trying to clean out rightnow.
SPEAKER_01 (22:25):
All right, here we
go.
We got time for this.
Yeah, we still got some timehere.
All right.
Uh, question number five isRobert from Facebook with name
association.
And this list of names, Teddy, Idon't think we've ever mentioned
maybe one of these names, maybetwo.
Uh, but here you go.
I'm gonna give you these names.
Just give me what comes to mind.
(22:45):
Uh, what you think about thisindividual.
The first one is Balls Mahoney.
SPEAKER_00 (22:52):
Balls Mahoney, I
remember him.
Yeah, he was a real comical guy, man.
Uh, a lot of fun.
Every time you saw him, youknow, he was just laughing and
smiling.
Yeah, I had a chance to meethim, and I worked with him too.
I think when I first went intoWWF, I think I went in as a
referee then, and uh, I had thechance to work with Ball.
But yeah, he he was he was anice guy.
SPEAKER_01 (23:11):
Yeah, he looked like
he could be a mess, really.
I mean, he when when you thinkECW, Ball's Mahoney is E CW.
He he he was one of a kind.
Yeah, ma'am.
All right, here's the next one.
We may have talked about himbefore.
I'm I'm sure we have.
Cowboy Bob Orton.
Uh senior.
Uh yeah, yeah, you know, the onewith the he's got that broken
(23:31):
wrist.
He can't, that cast just nevercomes off.
SPEAKER_00 (23:34):
Okay, yeah, yeah.
Cowboy Bob Orton.
Uh, me and him, we rode togetherfor a while.
And I remember when uh, let'ssee, I got a good story about me
and him.
I believe we were somewhere inOhio, and we went in this ground
round, I think that's what itwas, and uh, we smoking, and so
I ended up back there thatnight.
I guess I got the munches so badtill I ate about 15 white
(23:57):
castles.
Okay, I'm telling now.
Okay, so so that's why I gothere.
So Bob, you know, Bob takes me,he drops me off at the room, so
I get there the next day.
I'm on my gotta go toPhiladelphia for a signing with
Butch and Run.
I am so sick till it isunbelievable.
I'm throwing up everywhere.
Oh, and Bob just laughing at me,but uh yeah, but me and Bob have
(24:21):
always been great friends.
I saw him uh at the uh uh SICWdad when he was at the Hall of
Fame with Randy, and uh workingback in the day with him was a
lot of fun.
SPEAKER_01 (24:31):
I got a quick story
uh about maybe this is a
different time.
I don't know how they keepsaying this, but times were
different at one time.
And I had been out drinking witha friend of mine, and we went
through we we had a fewbeverages, and uh we're trying
to go through a drive-thru.
We finally get we're just tryingto clean it up like that.
SPEAKER_00 (24:52):
We just had a few
beverages.
SPEAKER_01 (24:56):
Yeah, we had some
alcohol, we were out having a
good time, and uh we wentthrough the drive-thru, and on
the way home, we were eating ourfood.
Now, the next day, I rememberthe night before going to bed,
going, Man, I am still hungry,I'm starving.
I get in my car the next day,and all the insides of the
sandwich that I was supposed tohave eaten is on the floorboard
(25:16):
down below me in the car, andthe only thing I ate was bread,
and that's how messed up I wasat that time, brother.
But oh my god, I surprised I gothome.
Uh, I I and don't ever do that.
SPEAKER_00 (25:28):
Well, I come on,
I've come home some nights and
woke up the next day and didn'tknow how I got there.
Oh, yeah.
I don't even remember drivingin, getting out the car, none of
that.
SPEAKER_01 (25:38):
Oh man, I remember
going to well, we better stop
that.
SPEAKER_00 (25:41):
Uh let's see.
SPEAKER_01 (25:42):
Uh Michael, what was
that SmackDown championship
supposed to look like that JBLwon?
SPEAKER_00 (25:50):
Well, I mean, what
do you mean?
What is supposed to look like?
It's uh just it with theSmackDown title.
That there was nothing specialabout it.
SPEAKER_01 (25:56):
It was, you know,
just a ever a point where they
were trying to change or somehowrebrand that title belt.
SPEAKER_00 (26:03):
No, no, not to my
remember.
I don't remember them doingthat.
And I would have, I definitelywould remember that.
God, I ran SmackDown nine years.
SPEAKER_01 (26:12):
Well, don't say that
because you just told Denise you
can't remember anything fromback then, Teddy.
SPEAKER_00 (26:17):
Well, I can remember
some of that because that was
selective.
That was that was kind of likethe job right there, and you
better remember it, or you justgonna have to go back and have
that come to Jesus meeting withVince.
And I didn't want that meeting.
SPEAKER_01 (26:29):
Yeah, you're gonna
have that come to Jesus meeting
with Denise soon.
All right, yeah.
All right, let's see.
We got time for three morenames.
I'm gonna try to get him inhere.
Finley.
SPEAKER_00 (26:39):
Fit Finley, yes,
okay.
Yeah, uh, great guy.
You know, he was always good towork with.
Uh, he was one he became anagent one time, so I had a
chance to work with him overseason different stuff.
But Fit was always a nice guy, man.
He always was good for advice.
You could go to him, you know,he'd, you know, tell you
whatever you need to know.
I mean, him and his son and Iwere really good friends.
Um, I I watched him when he wasa kid too.
(27:02):
And the last time I talked tohim, he was the champion over in
Japan.
And he sent me the match wherehe won the title in Japan.
And uh that that's Fitz son.
I mean, I knew me.
He used to sit, me and him usedto make fun of people.
He said in ringside.
Oh, yeah, we did.
Oh, god, I could tell you me andhim would sit up and just watch
(27:22):
people and we laugh and laughand laugh and laugh.
So he he and I brought that backup to him, man.
That was good times with him.
SPEAKER_01 (27:29):
Yeah, Fit Finley,
man, that that you talk about a
legit tough guy.
That was not somebody you wantedto play with.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
We met him at Six Flags.
He, his wife, uh, and I I thinkit may just been him and his
wife.
I can't remember if they had a akid with him or not.
Uh, but we were standing in lineat Six Flags, and my son, my
youngest son, turned around andhe he's yanking on my pants leg.
(27:52):
He's going, Hey, Dad.
Well, I was like, What?
He goes, That's Fit Finley, andhe was right behind us.
And uh he struck up aconversation with my kid and
talked to him.
He was really cool.
Uh, but you can tell, you know,it was day off, and I wasn't
gonna mess with him.
So I told the kids to lay off.
Uh, let's see, two more namesreal fast.
Uh Gold Dust.
SPEAKER_00 (28:11):
Oh, wow.
Another uh kid uh dusted uh sonGod restored.
So uh had a chance to travelwith him uh back in the Jim

because he wasn't old enough.
And I did I can't it was adifferent time.

got rested, so he gave me myfirst job, uh, gave me a you
know a hell of an opportunity.
And uh I had a chance to talkwith him a lot too before he
passed.
And me and him used to just sitand cater in and just look at
people and we make fun of themtoo.
(28:53):
Me and Dusty, oh, it was greattalking to him, just sitting at

SPEAKER_01 (29:22):
Oh god, there was a
time I remember him on TV, and
he he kind of uh spouted offwith uh Stephanie in the ring
live on TV.
And uh, heard she got a littleticked about it, but that was
Dusty.
I mean, you know, he you can'tlet Dusty go out and hold a
microphone and pretend to besomebody else the writers are
writing for.
He's got to be Dusty.
SPEAKER_00 (29:44):

leave Gorilla a couple of times.
SPEAKER_01 (31:47):
Uh and when he does
that, I mean you don't even want
to be around to see what he hasto say either.
Probably you'd probably ratherbe in another room somewhere
away far away.
SPEAKER_00 (31:56):

rather be just gone and just
just silent, just fast out.
