A meteorite blazing across the southeastern sky kicks off an hour of captivating wrestling conversation between WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long and host Mac Davis. As footage of the space rock landing on rooftops plays across news outlets, our hosts transition into something equally explosive – genuine concern about WWE's continued events in Saudi Arabia amid growing geopolitical tensions.

"If something were to happen...I don't think the company could survive," Mac observes, with Teddy acknowledging how his perspective has evolved with age. "Ten years ago, I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought. I'd have jumped right on that plane. But now? The world is just in too much turmoil." This rare moment of vulnerability from a wrestling veteran highlights the real-world considerations behind the spectacle we love.

The conversation flows into personal territory as Teddy reveals his television preferences (Family Guy tops his list) and shares the fascinating origin story of how working for music legend James Brown at TBS Studios unexpectedly led him to wrestling. "I started taking me and my son to watch wrestling because I could get in the back...one thing led to another, and here I am today." These connecting threads between music, television production, and professional wrestling illustrate how the most successful careers often follow unexpected paths.

The highlight comes during name association segments where Teddy delivers priceless anecdotes about legends like Jimmy Snuka ("real nice guy, kept to himself"), Roddy Piper's overseas revenge on a prankster ("threw all his stuff in the shower"), and Paul Bearer's mischievous side. When Teddy complained to Paul about his wife not feeding their dogs, Paul grabbed the phone and immediately told her everything, throwing his friend "under the bus." These unfiltered, genuine moments showcase the brotherhood that exists behind wrestling's curtain, where ribbing and camaraderie create bonds as strong as family.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
let's do this.
It is another Thursday and ofcourse, it's 7 o'clock in the
evening, Eastern Standard Time, and that means that we are live.
Wwe Hall of Famer Teddy Longand myself.

(00:42):
Mac Davis Hello, Teddy, how youdoing, my friend?

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Well, I'm going to tell you right now, ladies and
gentlemen, boys and girls, if Iseem to be a little distraught
here, it's because of Mac.
I'm going to tell you.
He has been so mean to me forthe last two days.
I don't know what it is and I'min a state of distraught, okay.
So, ladies and gentlemen, if Idon't seem to be myself, it's

(01:07):
because Matt, the way he's beentreating me, he has been so mean
.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I hadn't even talked to Teddy, probably in four days.
Oh man, those of you thatbelieve that I got another.
We can sell you some Swamplandsomewhere, I'm sure.
Teddy man, there's a lot goingon.
First of all, let me ask youdid you see the fireball in the
sky today?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, I did see that.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
You saw that my wife called.
We were on the telephone duringlunch and she says what the
hell was that?
And I was like, what are youtalking about?
She said I think a jet just uhwent down.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
She thought a jet crashed I saw it on the news is
where I saw it at.
Some people that saw it hadfilmed it and uh.
But yeah, I wasn't anywhereclose to it, but I did see it on
the news think about that.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
They saw that, I think, in parts of north
carolina as well, as far south,I know, as at least far south as
dublin, uh, in ge, because youknow that's where she saw it.
So it's just incredible.
That thing must have been hugewhen it landed somewhere.
That thing had been pretty big.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Well, it landed on some.
Some parts of it was on somepeople's roofs and stuff like
that.
They did get pieces of it whereit hit the roof of a house or
something like that, but youknow, until they found out what
that was or where it came from.
That's pretty scary forsomething like that to just fall
out of the sky.
I mean, somebody had to get upthere some kind of way.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, and to be that bright in the middle of the day,
I mean the sun shining brightand that thing lights up the sky
and everybody's like what thehell was that?
Yeah, just crazy stuff.
He's like what the hell wasthat?
Yeah, just crazy stuff.
Speaking of crazy, wwe is inSaudi Arabia as of right before
we went to record.
We're actually going live here.
There are reports, they're onthe ground and they're in Saudi

(02:56):
Arabia right now.
Teddy, it still is just notsomething I can imagine as a
company that is publicly tradedand you have investors.
If you take a group ofwrestlers, hide names, because
they always take big names whenthey go to Saudi, so you got all
your top guys there in Saudi.

(03:17):
If something were to happen andI'm not wishing that on
anything by any stretch of theimagination, but if something
went happen I don't think thecompany could survive.
I really don't.
Do you think that they cansurvive something like that?

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Well, I just haven't really thought about that.
You know, I'm like you.
I'm hoping nothing like thatever happens and they don't have
to even go through that.
So my thing is this uh, I'mputting right now, I'm saying to
myself that, you know, if I wasasked now, I would say no, I
guess.
Cause I, right now I'm sayingto myself, you know, if I was
asked now, I would say no, Iguess, because I've gotten older
now, you know, and I just, youknow, feel a little bit
different about life.

(03:50):
But I imagine maybe 10 yearsago I mean it probably wouldn't,
I probably wouldn't even gaveit a second thought.
I'd have probably jumped righton the plane and went on right
on over there with them.
But right now I wouldn't do itbecause there's just the world
is just in too much turmoil, andjust the world is just in too
much turmoil.
And you know me and not tryingto be racist, and then, but I'm
going to be targeted, so I'mgoing to tell you that right now
.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Well, I think, just as an American in another
country right now and I've seentoday even in the news where
they were saying there are uh,the warnings are have been risen
for people who are in othercountries If you're American, to
keep your eyes open, and nowyou've got a bunch of American
wrestlers with an Americancompany coming into Saudi, I

(04:30):
don't know, Like I say I hope,nothing happens.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
But jeez, they're there.
Congratulations.
God bless them.
They're safe landing, safe trip.
So let's hope everything goesgood and they make it on back to
the motherland.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah, and people kept saying, oh, but it's not really
that close.
I don't know.
When I look at the map, SaudiArabia is pretty damn close to
where all that turmoil wastaking place.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Well, I heard something earlier, something
that they did get detainedsomewhere before they let them
come through, or something.
I don't know.
That's something I did hear.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
And they've had problems there in the past.
You know, at one time Vincepulled the plug on some of the
outlets in the Middle Eastbecause he wasn't getting paid
his money like he should havebeen from Saudi in the beginning
, so he pulled the plug.
Well then they grounded the aircrews of these other guys
trying to go home and only VinceMcMahon and a handful of other
people got on that plane and gotout of there after everything

(05:27):
settled down.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, well, that's because Vince had his own plane.
Yeah so he was able to get outbefore.
You know the trouble brewed.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
All right, let's see here.
We got some people popping in.
I'll make sure we get them inhere.
And, by the way, if you want tobe a part of the show, all.
And by the way, if you want tobe a part of the show, all you
got to do is just leave us aquestion or comment on the
screen.
Teddy will pick the bestquestion of the night and that
person will get a free Road TripAfter Hours T-shirt, like you
see on Teddy right there, morethan likely that one or one of
the other ones that we've hadseveral of them, so you'll get

(05:57):
one of those T-shirts.
So make sure you're part of theshow.
Zach is in the room saying hey,mac and Teddy, how you doing.
We're doing good again, zach, good to see you in here, nice to
hear from you, Zach.
Pretty classy lady.
The new intro was funny.
I'm glad you enjoyed that.
Thank you guys.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Just horrible.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Just horrible.
That's the worst I've everheard.
Yeah, I always try to givesomething a little bit odd and
different in there, if I can, just because I know you're
waiting for the countdown.
At least give you something towatch.
It's kind of interesting, let'ssee what else we have.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
I'd rather watch paint dry.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Well, that's about how it is when I'm around you,
when we go to the shows.
Pretty classy lady Tell Rufus.
I said hey.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Hey, Rufus, let me take the phone.
No, he is laying right here.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Okay, but you are laying down on the job rufus now
rufus is on guard.
Yeah, he's my bodyguard, sohe's watching me well, he's not
paying attention to me on thephone, that's for sure.
He's probably bored of hearingmy voice well, there he is right
, there all right so let's seewe also have uh curly man saying
hey guys, good to see you inhere too, brother uh says hi,

(07:02):
mac and teddy, I got the shirtand I will post the shirt on
Facebook of me on social media.
We appreciate that.
Make sure you tag us in thereand we'll throw it up in there.
I tried to get we had somebodyelse.
Buddy got his T-shirt and I hada picture of that.
I was going to try to put itinto the room but I could not
get it to download for whateverreason.
So we'll try that again nextweek because I do want to show

(07:23):
the people who have theirt-shirts that they put on social
media.
Let's see we also have PlotTwist Jones.
Hey guys, plot.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Twist Jones I love it .

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Dutch told this story once about Brad Maddox getting
fired after a dark match and apromo.
Were you there, teddy, and whathappened if you were?

Speaker 2 (07:47):
No, I wasn't there.
I don't even remember that.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
No, I really don't either, but I wouldn't put it
past some of that.
I saw where was it?
Flash Gordon, one of thesecharacters?
Early on in WWE there was avideo flying around.
It was one of the worst matchesI have ever seen.
He didn't get a job, he was ina dark match.
Oh God, it was horrible.

(08:12):
All right, let's see.
Uh, there are some rumors aboutWWE.
You know, they got into thatnew building, teddy, the one
that they just built, andeverything.
Yeah Well, they were saying nowthat, uh, with this, the rumors
going around that once thelease is up on that building,
they're going to move to LasVegas.
So headquarters will now be invegas if the rumors are true and

(08:35):
that wouldn't surprise me, youknow, considering how much is
already done there.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Anyhow, no, I can see I can see that.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Yeah, I can too.
Uh, also, we have renee adamsin here.
Hey, mac and teddy, how arey'all doing today?
Trying to stay cool here?

Speaker 2 (08:49):
yeah, it's hot in georgia yeah, that's exactly
what we're trying to do here, too is stay cool, man.
I man, I mean it's.
And then, not only that, it'shot and it's storming, they got
tornadoes everywhere.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Did you have any bad weather last night?
Because we got some that camethrough here late at night.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I did.
I never did.
I could hear it.
I never did get up out of thebed and look out the window, but
I did hear the thunder andlightning a little bit around 11
last night.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah, I saw Fred Ottman.
He had posted that he won't begoing to a show this weekend
because the tornado came throughhis neighborhood and basically
tore everything up, and I'veseen some video from Largo,
florida.
If you're from that area, hey,our prayers are for you guys,
because I know there's a lot ofdamage there.
I saw a particular video whereit picked a house up off the

(09:32):
foundation, lifted it almostsideways for a few seconds and
then dropped itself right backon the foundation again.
Just incredible winds anddamage and, yeah, the storms
have been absolutely nuts.
Uh, what else we got here?
We got, uh, zach teddy assomeone that has made a great
stamp on professional wrestling, like you have.
What is a storyline that tookyou back to being a fan after so

(09:55):
many years in the business?
oh god I don't know, man, that'sa good question too that.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
That really is a good question.
I remember them doing somethingand, uh, and it reminded me of
something I did back in the dayin wcw nwa.
I just can't remember what thatwas, but I have had that
experience.
I have seen stuff, you know, and I'm like wow, I've done that
, you know.
Back then you know, but yeah, Ihad experience.

(10:24):
I just can't remember what itwas, but if it comes back to me,
man, I'll let you know.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Was there a moment for you at some point?

Speaker 2 (10:44):
this is basically the same kind of question, but was
there a point, even before yougot into wrestling, of a rivalry
or something in wrestling thatreally hooked you?
No, uh, I I don't know.
I'm sure I told you how I gotinvolved in wrestling.
Yeah, now, I was never, youknow, like I said, I didn't you
know, know about being awrestling fan or nothing like
that.
So what I did remember, I toldyou I worked for James Brown.
Yeah, well, james Brown had aTV show at Atlanta at the old
TBS Studios, and it was like theshow Soul Train.

(11:04):
You know, soul Train is the DonCornelius where all the people
dance and all that Right.
Well, james Brown had this showcalled Future Shock and James
called me and I went to work forJames and I was the music
director there selecting themusic for the people to dance by
.
Well, by me being down, therewas like I said, I could see him
on Saturday.
We would take somewhere on onestudio and then the other studio

(11:27):
on Saturday night I mean Fridaynight they would always come
down and put that ring up and Istarted seeing them putting the
ring up for the saturdaymornings tv taping.
So what happened?
On saturday mornings, I startedgoing down, taking me and my
son to go watch the wrestling, because I didn't have no problem
getting in, because, you know, they knew I I worked there for
james so I could always go inthe back like everybody else.

(11:48):
Yeah, so that's how I startedgoing.
And then, like I said, I run inthere, abdullah, make a long
story short I started taking himaround and everything, and, uh,
then I started being able toget in the back with abdullah,
and so one thing led to anotherand here I am today by the way,
uh, last week I had mentioned Iwanted to get herb simmons on,
uh, to talk about abby.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
He's going to join us next week.
Uh, we'll have him on for a fewminutes and talk about the
situation with abby, the bookand the whole hoopla that's
going on there.
So we will talk about that nextweek.
I didn't want you to think weforgot In the meantime.
We need to break away, teddy, because it's time to open that
mail bag.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Oh, we get letters, we get your letters every day,
Mailman, mailman mail today.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Reach right in and pull one out.
Those letters, I love thoseletters.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Let's find out what you've got to say, Mailman mail
today?
Mail Today.
Let's get inside this mail bagand see what we have.
First question comes from Ninathe Hyena.

(13:05):
What, nina the Hyena?
All right, all right, brother, let's see.
Dear Teddy, what do you watchfor entertainment?
Favorite movies or tv shows?
Family guy, I knew you weregonna say that that is your
favorite show of all the showsyou love.
Family guy, don't you?

Speaker 2 (13:24):
I like family guy and I like the the cop show that on
patrol live.
I like that.
So you, what do you watch?
The?
Most uh, family guy.
They're on every night andthey're on two, three channels.
Man, people really don't knowhow hot Family Guy is, this show
is.
They run two or three shows anight all the week.
Okay, people watch that.

(13:45):
I'm telling you.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
I used to watch with my kids at one time something
called Rugrats that was on TV.
That was hilarious.
Today's cartoons, you know, back when I grew up we had Bugs
Bunny and people like that andthey would have political humor
that the kids would never catch.
It just went right over yourhead.
But now, man, they're just outand out, just saying what they
want to say you can't have yourkids watch Family Guy.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
I mean they say some stuff on there and then you know
, think about them now.
These guys got to be on somegood weed.
They got a gay baby.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Things are crazy, brother.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
How do you come up with this and you got a dog
there that's running to the gaybaby asking him to piss for him
so he can pass the drug test, the dog.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Not for kid consumption, obviously not for a
kid consumption, obviously.
So, speaking of which, we weretalking about buddy a while ago.
Man buddy, uh.
Uh.
Nick, our friend, uh, joehamilton jr.
Uh, if you don't know who he is, his dad was uh famous in
wrestling.
I'm just gonna tell you, golook him up.
If you don't know that name, golook it up.
Uh, but he's saying he saw thepicture of buddy with the new
shirt and he said he's lookingcool player all right, hey,

(14:55):
thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Gleeky Beaks.
A lot of people don't knowabout Gleeky Beaks.
That's me and him going wayback.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Okay, hold on, hold on.
You're going to have to.
You can't just throw that outthere.
You've got to explain yourself.
What is it now?
I'm just you said me, and soone day I just started calling
him Glico Beak.
Yeah, see, now I know why helikes Family Guy because he
likes the same thing the writerslove.

(15:22):
Exactly, exactly Pretty classylady is saying she's in Georgia
and they had some crazylightning.
Yeah, the lightning wasincredible.
Last night it was like a strobelight going off.
Michael Wren, hey guy, mr Macand Teddy.
Long Times just got finishedwatching the bad check promo
with Teddy.
Do you remember that?

Speaker 2 (15:43):
The check from Eddie Guerrero.
I don't know what he's talkingabout.
I remember I'm not sure either.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Hey, michael, you may need to send us a kind of
clarify a little bit what you'retalking about, because I can't
remember that, to be honest, andsend us a kind of clarify a
little bit what you're talkingabout, because I can't remember
that.
Be honest with you, let's see.
Zach Fred Ottman is the dude.
Yeah, he is.
I'm so glad I got to meet himtogether at SICW Fan Fest one.
Yeah, he's a really good guyHis, his entire family, his wife
and people that I've ever knownthat work around Fred,

(16:12):
everybody's just good people andit's hard to find that, but he
is good people and hoping thebest, hopefully no damage to him
.
I know his wife got real shookup from it last night.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Yeah, he's a real super nice guy man.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Real nice guy.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Yeah, so let's pray for him and his family man.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Let's see Next question.
The mailbag Gerald wants toknow what are the big name
wrestlers in today's wrestling?
Is there a bigger than lifepersonality like in the days of
Hulk Hogan?

Speaker 2 (16:46):
I don't know.
I think some guys are prettyclose to that.
You know what I mean I reallydo.
There are a lot of guys thatreally impress me, that I see
now.
Things are a lot different nowfrom the Attitude Era.
But, like I said, for somereason I know I'm a Gunther fan
too for some reason too, he doesimpress me too.

(17:09):
I think he's got what it takesto make it in this business.
He has the look.
The promos are very good, youknow what I mean, and he's not a
bad worker in the ring.
So watching him, yeah, believability, yes, yes, yes.
Then, like I said, I love SamiZayn.
You know I wish they'd, youknow, maybe find something for
Sami, because he can entertainyou and you know he's a great
entertainer.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
There he is.
Let, uh, let's see.
We also have a plot twist.
Jones, the Brad Maddox incidenthappened in the dunking center.
I remember he said something ina dark promo.
He called the fans, something.
Not even a top bad guy wouldsay remembered it because of
Dutch.
Hmm, I still don't know thestory.
I might have to ask Dutch aboutthat.

(17:49):
He'll be with us, uh, on Fridaynight, uh, on sports, keto, uh,
so I'll bring that up to him.
I'll bring that up to him.
Let's see what else we got here.
We have Chris CW Wright.
Hey, chris, ah, love it, familyguy.
There's an old man just likeCleveland Brown and talks like
him too.
And let's see what else he'sgot here.

(18:13):
Austin Towers thinks he isKeeps going around kicking
40-ounce dub in the head.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Okay, you lost me there too.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
I thought you were laughing because you got it.
I'm like I don't know what hejust said.
I didn't get it.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
I see Austin Towers.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
He's drinking that energy drink.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Maybe he's trying to say Austin Towers.
Who does he think he is?
Keeps going around kicking40-ounce dudes in the head Dudes
, that's what I think he'ssaying dudes in the head.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
So you got me, you got him all messed up.
Let's see what else we got here.
Curly man.
Hey, mac and Teddy, I justwanted to thank you guys for the
podcast each and every week.
I always look forward to youguys every Thursday, and we do

thanks for the entertainmentevery week.
Hey, currently, man, I'm goingto tell you and I know Teddy's
going to say the same thing weappreciate you stopping and

(19:10):
listening to us every week.
That means a lot when you guysshare this and grow this show,
which you have done.
I was saying this on anothershow with Teddy the other day.
We have garnered like 300 newsubscribers in just a couple of
weeks, and it's because of you,the people that are in this room
right now.
You share this and you letother people know about it and

(19:31):
our show has continued to grow.
And also a big shout out to ourpodcast listeners on Apple and
places like that.
We are constantly doing verywell there too.
It's something I don't keep aneye on that much because I
really just kind of do this forthe video portion, but those who
are listening to us man.
We appreciate it.
And there are hot spots likeSouth Africa is a hot spot, usa
is a hot spot, ireland andCanada are hotots for our

(19:55):
television show with our podcast.
So thank you very much.
I don't want you to think thatwe're not seeing, that we are,
and I appreciate that very much.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
And I just want to reiterate that too.
Man, thank you guys very much, thank you, thank you, thank you,
and you know, like I said, youknow, help us to subscribe, and

It's kind of a show of our weappreciate you subscribing, so
we want to show you that weappreciate it.

(20:24):
So we're going to work on someother stuff to do you guys too.
So thank you again.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Yeah, and we got some plans for some things with this
show as we move on.
Teddy and I have been talkingabout it.
We know we're live on Thursdaynights at 7 o'clock, but if
Teddy and I are on the road, there's no reason we couldn't do
a show live from inside, wherever we are, with you
joining us there live as wellvia the internet.
So that's coming up soon, sokeep watching for that too.

(20:50):
So we've got a couple morethings in here.
Plot twist jones, uh, saying howcan we watch those full
episodes on sports kita and theother channel?
I only see clips.
Uh, that's a good question.
I'll tell you that.
Uh, I have seen recently wheresports kita has started to farm
out those shows in full on thepodcast platform.

(21:11):
Uh, so if you go to, you knowApple podcasts or somewhere,
just type in the show you wantand it should pop up.
If it doesn't send sports keyto the message and I'm sure
they'll tell you how to find it.
But I have heard they startedrunning those as full podcasts
for full shows.
If you, instead of having toget the clips like you get,
let's see.
We also have Chris C dub justsent you a pick Mac, uh, teddy,

(21:36):
uh, let's see what this pick is.
I'm afraid to even open this up.
Let me see here, cause you know, chris, he's like well, it
won't open.
That's the problem.
It's closed off and saying, no,don't take this.
No, it's a for whatever reason.
It's just having a hard time.
No, don't take this.
No, it's a for whatever reason,it's just having a hard time

(21:56):
opening it up.
So sorry about that.
All right, let's go.
Uh, jack, in Atlanta withanother question who do you stay
in touch with from your days inwrestling and do you ever speak
with Vince McMahon?

Speaker 2 (22:13):
that's an interesting question for many reasons yes,
yes, yes, yes, yes, and you knowexactly what I thought about.
Yes, yes, sir I do uh uh, I runsimmons as somebody that I stay
in touch with me and ron, wetalk uh at least twice a week.
Uh, get a chance sometime tospeak with luger.
Uh, basically, when I do seesome of the guys is when I go to

(22:35):
the Comic-Cons or to thedifferent signings and stuff.
That's where I basically see alot of guys.
And no, I haven't had thechance to speak to Vince McMahon
.
I'd like to, but I haven't hadthe chance to you never know,
maybe the opportunity will arise.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Let's see Sarah with a question.
It's actually name association,um, and so we got one, two,
three, four.
I got five names that she hasin this list here.
Uh, we'll get to as many as wecan and take your questions.
If you have a question forteddy or anything in general,
just uh, throw us the questionand we'll throw it up on the
screen.
It doesn't cost you a nickel.
You don't have to buy a supersticker and everything else.

(23:10):
This show is free, absolutely.
Yeah, all right, so let's seethe first name and the name
association I have here teddy.
Uh, you know any kind ofmemories or thoughts, and the
name first is jimmy snookerjimmy snooker, real nice guy.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Had the opportunity to hang with him for a couple of
days.
Um, real good friends with hisdaughter, with her.
She's very nice too, beenknowing them a long time.
But yeah, snuka was really anice guy.
Like I said, I had a chance tohang out with him for a while.
Had a blast.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Was he a quiet guy?
I guess I would always kind ofimagine him being a really quiet
individual in the back.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Well, yeah, he was kind of quiet.
You know he wasn't one of theseloud, boisterous guys like you
see in the back.
You know he always, you know Imean he talked to you but he
always kind of kept to himselftoo.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
But he was, he was real low-key all right now,
somebody that may not have beenas low-key uh, roddy piper uh, I
spoke to piper a little bit.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
We didn't talk a whole lot.
We said you smoked with roddypiper.
I spoke with him a little bit, okay, okay, no, I never let me
correct that.
Never smoked anything withroddy piper, just only spoke
with him a little bit.
We talked every once in a while.
You know he wasn't a guy, youknow that, we just hung out and
had a big conversation on that.
But uh, I remember one time wewas overseas and, uh, godly,

(24:31):
this guy.
Uh, uh, godly, simon dean, Ithink that was his name.
He was a yeah, you mightremember him.
Uh, he went overseas with us orsomething and some, somehow he
did something to piper's bag orsome kind of way.
But anyway, I think piper endedup, uh, throwing all of his
clothes in the in the shower andwet up all his clothes, so that

(24:54):
night he had no clothes towrestle in.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Well, good, yeah, I don't know what he expected.
If you're going to screw withRoddy, you know he's going to
come back.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
He had Piper's bag or something he did overseas.
But, like I said, I rememberPiper threw all his stuff in the
shower.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Hey, you know I'm hearing that Vickie Guerrero may
be making an appearance back inWWE again soon.
Have you heard that?

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Yeah, I saw that on Wrestling, e.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
I'm wondering if that has anything to do with maybe
the Evolution pay-per-view orpremium live event that's coming
up to saw female.
I wonder if that's some of theinvolvement she may have,
because I'm not sure where shewould fit in right now.
I'm sure they could put hersomewhere because she's kind of
like you.
She has that personality thatpeople will always embrace.
They're never going to boo herout of the building except for
out of love, like they usuallydo, so it'd be kind of nice to

(25:41):
see her come back.
That is a familiar name I'dlike to see back around.
Yeah, let's see.
Zach, this is one of thepodcasts I look forward to every
week Watch.
You guys have helped me withour podcast Falls Count
Everywhere.
Zach, I'm glad that is the case, and I think you also have an

(26:01):
anniversary that's coming up, ifI'm not mistaken.
Is it two?
Hang on, I might be able totell you that as well.
I think I got something.
No, I can't, but I think maybeit's your second year, if I'm
not mistaken.
But let me know.
But that's good news for youguys.
And it took Teddy and I withour podcast almost two years
until we started really feelingthe traction we wanted to feel.

(26:23):
So don't give up.
Keep your head up and just keepplugging away.
That's all you can do andremember balls count everywhere.
Oh, they're going to love that, all right, let's everywhere.
Oh, they're going to love that.
All right, let's see, we alsohave Chris in here as a fellow
bald guy.
What shaver do y'all use?
I managed to get a hookup fromFreebird that sent me a free

(26:43):
shaver.
I've seen the Freebirds.
Teddy, what do you use?
Just a plain face razor or what?

Speaker 2 (26:49):
No, I use a Gillette razor, the one that has the
battery operated.
All you do is just push thebattery in and then you just
hold the button and it comes onand it glides.
Then, after I use it, I haveanother one that I use.
That's like a roller, you know, the one that fit in my hand and
goes all over the head.
So I use the razor first andthen I use the roll one.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
I use a head blade roll one.
I use a head blade.
Uh, it's a product where itlooks like a hot wheels car
almost, but it has wheels and ablade on it.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
You just kind of fit in your hand and just and that's
what I got it's got the wheelson it, four wheels together, and
it has a little blade on theend too, if you need to trim
something yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
So those are pretty cool.
One day they'll have one ofthose things probably, where you
just put it on your head andit'll just move around by itself
.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
They got them now, man, that's the one they were
talking about the other day.
It was a little small one but, brother, just glad you were done
, just like that.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Let's see, zach was also saying that Vicki is a
treasure and Herb Simmonspopping in.
We were talking about you awhile ago, herb, your ears while
ago, herb, your ears must havebeen burning, saying good
evening, hey, good afternoon.
And yeah, uh, zach, okay, Iknew it was something like that.
Uh, oh, what am I doing?
I didn't try to lock you outhere.
We go, zach, why are you notshowing up?
All right, zach was just sayingit's his 200th episode.

(28:04):
I don't know what happened tohim, but I strongly him up there
and I think I deleted it.
Uh, but it's their 200thepisode of falls count, uh,
everywhere.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
So, uh, that's, that's let's congratulate them
too, because those guys havereally worked real hard.
They have they're where theyare today.
They've done a great job, man.
So congratulations to you guysand just keep on doing the hard
work.
And, like I said, playoffsFalls Count Everywhere.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
All right, here's a few more names for you before we
get out of here.
If you have a question, fire itin here.
More names for you before weget out of here.
If you have a question fired inhere, we got a few more minutes
here.
Maven is the next name.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Oh, what a nice guy.
I met him way back in the daywhen I first started, you know,
in New York.
That's the old school way, youknow.
You didn't say you're going toNew York.
So, yeah, he was one of theguys that started with Tough
Enough and all that.
And so, yeah, he was one of theguys that started with Tough
Enough and all that and I had achance to see him every once in
a while on some of the signings.

(28:57):
But he has also had a greatattitude and a great guy.
So, hey, Maven, good guy.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Let's see.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Taz is up next.
Taz is one of the guys I firstmet back when ECW was running
and then that's when Vince hadbought ECW and Taz and all those
guys that came over.
They were working for Vince.
So I had a chance to talk withTaz.
It had been a long, long time, but he was always a nice guy.
You know no attitude problemsor nothing.
He was the guy that you couldtalk to.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Now I know that Undertaker, you know, was a good
friend of yours back in the day.
What about, though and this isthe last name on this name
association list Paul Bearer?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Paul Bearer was great too.
Paul Bearer always loved toprank.
You know what he did one time,I remember one time I had just
called home and so my wife Godrest her soul she's gone now.
Anyway, I was checking on thedogs.
They hadn't fed the dogs ornothing.
You know what I mean.
So, man, I'm really pissed now.

(29:57):
So I go to Paul Barra you knowI got to let this out on
somebody so I go to talking toPaul Barra and I'm telling him
Paul, god damn it, man, theydon't even feed the dogs.
I'm just going off.
So anyway, I'm standing there, but this time my phone rings.
So then my wife that's her onthe phone, so I put on speaker,

(30:18):
you know, so I could talk to herand everything.
And as soon as I do that, paultakes the phone and he says yeah
, mrs Long, he was talking abouthow you don't feed the dogs,
how you don't do nothing.
Oh, he just, he threw me righton the bus.
He told her everything I said.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
That's a true story.
At least you found out what youreally thought.
So did she start feeding thedog after that?

Speaker 2 (30:40):
no, I had to let the dogs go.
They were just I couldn't andyou know I couldn't trust nobody
with them.
But you know, now I'm back onthe road, me by myself and my
dog, and you know, and my wellanyway, my pretty lady in
Carolina.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
Yep, yep.
Let's see Herb Simmons poppingin and saying today is JJ

Everybody say happy birthday.
Yeah, drop by, Let JJ Dillonknow it's a good birthday, Go
ahead.

Speaker 2 (31:10):

I saw his daughter not long agoand was asking about him and
she told me he's doing well, soJJ.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
I saw him in Indianapolis.
The last show I did there inIndianapolis, Indiana, he was
there.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
I had a chance to see him there, him and Barry
Windham.
Yeah, I remember it was acouple of years ago.
We were in New York and I wassitting at the bar and he sat
down and we started just talking.
He just would talk about theold days, man.
I just sat there and listened, hearing the old stories of the
four horsemen and stuff, and Iwouldn't even ask him.
He was just willingly giving mestuff and telling me things

(31:51):
that just blew my mind.
But he was always a really coolguy with me.
Also, chris C Dubb Wright, thecucumber story always pops me.
Good old Percy Love him.
Tell me about the cucumber.
I do remember that, teddy, wasit a rikishi or somebody who
didn't like cucumbers?
I think it was Taker.

(32:13):
Was it Taker?
There is somebody who had afear of cucumbers.
I remember that.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Yeah, I'm not sure I could be wrong, but I think it
was Taker.
You got any phobias.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Teddy, no, no phobias at all, not that I know of, not
that you found out yet.
All right, teddy, you got topick a winner for tonight.
Question of the night who'sthat going to be?

Speaker 2 (32:41):
I think I'll pick the guy that wanted to know had I
spoke to Vince McMahon.

you, because I just saw thatit's Jack in Atlanta.

Good man, I enjoy this.

(33:09):
This is a lot of fun, teddy andI.
You know this.

that we enjoy because there'snobody's telling us what to do.
