Stepping into the wild, unfiltered world of professional wrestling has never been more entertaining than with Mac Davis and WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long on Wrestling's Road Trip After Hours.

Teddy kicks things off by sharing his recent experience at an Indianapolis wrestling expo where he reunited with dozens of industry legends – from Slick to Mick Foley – creating a nostalgic backdrop for the stories to follow. As the conversation shifts to current wrestling headlines, the hosts dissect Hulk Hogan's mathematically impossible claim of wrestling 400 days in a year, setting up a thoughtful exploration of wrestling's relationship with truth and entertainment.

When the discussion turns to The Rock's recent controversial comments about wrestling being "a work," Teddy offers a perspective only a veteran could provide: "Everything has changed now. The whole wrestling, everything has changed. This is not back in the day and what it used to be." This seamless blend of insider knowledge with candid commentary makes even familiar wrestling debates feel fresh and nuanced.

The show reaches its emotional peak during the fan questions segment, where Teddy shares truly jaw-dropping stories – witnessing Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle's backstage brawl, seeing Vince McMahon tear up scripts minutes before going live, and his own personal battle with addiction during his WCW days. His vulnerability in discussing his 250-pound frame while managing Ice Train and his journey to recovery showcases the real human behind the wrestling persona.

Whether you're a die-hard wrestling fan or simply appreciate authentic conversation between two friends who've seen it all, this episode delivers moments that will make you laugh, reflect, and see professional wrestling in an entirely new light. Subscribe now and join Mac and Teddy for more unfiltered wrestling tales that you won't hear anywhere else.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Hello everybody and welcome to an all new live
episode of Wrestling's Road TripAfter Hours.
I'm your host, Matt Davis.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I thought we had an agreement that you weren't going
to drink before we started todrink.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Your own something as soon as we chime in.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I'll tell you what it is On this particular stream.
I don't know if this is thesame on all streams, but when
you play a video in front of you, it takes a couple of seconds
to you go live, even after itends.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
So I just try to kind of hum it a little bit as it
keeps going, so it doesn't soundlike just dead air.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
So now, that's your excuse for drinking.
Cheers you there.
No See what I said, Teddy, howwas your weekend?

Speaker 3 (01:17):
my friend.
My weekend was good, man, and Iwas alive and able to see.
That's enough for me.
I also had Indian indianapolistoo.
Last weekend too, we was therefor the big wrestling expo, so
uh had a chance to see a lot ofguys I hadn't seen in 10.

(01:38):
50 slick was one of them, oneof the managers in the wwf and,
uh, one man, gang Tully, blanchard, and just so many guys
.
Raven, guy Levin just guys likeBlue Meany, mick Foles just so
many guys I had a chance to talkto what convention was this?

(02:01):
Because that's a load of folksthere.
Well, it was some wrestlingexpo.
I may not have the correct namefor it.
I do have one.
They have every year there inIndianapolis, so it's a FanFest
Expo or something like that.
But golly, I knew it had to be50 wrestlers there, wow that's a
lot of folks.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
In fact, you and I will see a lot of folks in St
Louis.
That's coming up May 16th and17th.
For those of you who arewatching that are in the St
Louis area, even if you're notin the St Louis area and you
want to fly in, this is a greatevent to come to.
It's FanFest 3.
It's S-I-C-W's FanFest 3.
And, of course, the St LouisWrestling Hall of Fame and our
very own Teddy Long will begetting the Lifetime Achievement

(02:38):
Award that night, and so I'mreally looking forward to that.
I've been working some stuffbehind the scenes.
That's going to be a very funnight.
Make sure, if you're in thatarea or can get there, come see
us, go to sicworg and get thosetickets.
Teddy Hulk Hogan has been caughtin another hot comment.

(02:59):
That's not so true.
Hoke now claims he was thefirst person to wrestle Brock
Lesnar after he left the UFC,but there's no record of that
match anywhere that can be found.
Recently, though, hogan hasmade several heads scratch just

(03:24):
over the comments he's beensaying, including the fact that
he claims now, teddy, he oncewrestled 400 days one year.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Well, I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I can't say that he's seven and a half years and I
can't say that he's less.
It's not 400 days in a year.
You're damn right.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
You know, god, what's the matter with man, me and him
always got along, you know I'veI, I never had any problem with
him at all.
So, uh, god bless him, man Inow he and uh bischoff.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Have you seen this?
It's just been in the news thelast couple of days.
They kind of had this nwofeeling kind of black and white
promo they put out there and itends up that that promo was for
a different kind of wrestlingfed called real american
freestyle.
Now this group is uh,world-class athletes, elite

(04:20):
level athletes, olympic levelwrestlers, collegiate champions,
but in a professionalenvironment with a lot more
entertainment.
And that's according to EricBischoff Hogan said, quote you
do the backstories first, sothat people care about the
athletes and you see where theystarted and the injuries and

(04:40):
what type of family backgroundthey have.
And in the history package, Ithink the kind of sets people up
to take care for the athletesor care for the athletes.
I agree with that to a point,teddy.
That's something I've alwaysthought that wrestling has been
missing.
When you watch UFC, do youwatch UFC ever, teddy?
No, the way that they approach, they still have their villains

(05:06):
and they still have their goodguys.
You know, the fans kind of makeout that way.
They don't go out of their wayto be entertainment, uh, like
wrestling, but they come out andyou get a history package and
you kind of care for the person.
You know, the actual person.
Uh, that's coming out and it's awhole different feel and I
think this may have some legs ifthey get it going good.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Well, it's called a bio, Okay, and basically, you
know, like some people likeyourself, you know you like that
.
Let me know something aboutthis guy.
Let's see what he did, what'shis best, and there's nothing
really wrong with that.
I think that's really great.
I think they should do thatwith a lot of people.
These guys, Eric and they'vebeen friends a long time.

(05:49):
They're especially businesspartners so they could be on
something here.
And I saw the relationshipbetween him and Hogan when I had
a chance to watch Looking atDogs Out of the Ring and who
Killed WCW when they were withthe Russo deal and where he came
out, cut the promo and all thisstuff.
So I really got anunderstanding about the bid.

(06:09):
You know, they really theyreally told everything.
So, like I said, Bischoff andHogan they're good friends and I
don't count them out.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, I'm not going to count them out, especially if
I keep saying this and, teddy,I have.
People will yell and screamabout it, but I'm going to say
it still.
Vince McMahon is not the typeof person to sit on the
sidelines and he's been quietwhen it comes to business
opportunities and maybe gettingback into sports entertainment
of some type.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
This could be another area where, if he sees that
there's something to it, hecould get in there as well,
don't you think?
Well, yeah, I think so, butVince is going to get in there,
unless Vince is going to havefull control of that.
And, like I said, vince stillhas great deals.
You know what I mean.
He still understands, he's inhis right mind and I just wish
something happened for him wherehe does come back.
You know, I'd like to see himmake a comeback and especially

(07:04):
and I know he'll do good, buthe's just got to get some good
points.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
All right, we got some stuff coming in here, steve
Morris.
Hey guys, after the Rock'scomments to Dave LaGreca, what
do y'all think should be that weshould look at?
Should we look at wrestlinglike a superhero movie, teddy I?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
don't know what his comments were to Dave LaGreca.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Well, basically, dave LaGreca lost his shit on a
recent episode of Busted Open onSiriusXM and he was mad of the
way that a couple things really, the way the main event match
ended at WrestleMania Night no 2, and the Rock's explanation for
why he wasn't there.

(07:45):
And the Rock saying well, youknow, wrestling is all work,
everything's a work.
The interviews, everything yousee is all a work.
It's just fake.
He didn't use the F word, Ididn't mention that it's all a
work, basically just saying, well, is it a work or not?
Yeah, but I think it's probablythe first time anybody's really
kind of come out and said oh,you know that that was in

(08:10):
today's fashion, you know, youdon't expect he's yeah, he can
do that.
Maybe he can get away with it.
But uh, I I do think that wehave to look at wrestling that
way.
When it comes to uh and steve,I think it's a good question.
If we look at it like asuperhero movie, we allow
ourselves to fall for the storythat's going on into the ring

(08:33):
and that's all anybody reallywants.
We all know what's happening atthe wrestling show.
It's a matter of how involved.
Do you want to be in thesematches and enjoy yourself,
because the quality of thatmatch and the quality of the
show a lot of times is going tobe up to the fan.
If you allow yourself to enjoyit, you will enjoy it, don't you
think?

Speaker 3 (08:53):
yeah, yeah, I agree 100.
But like I tell you all thetime, man, everything, like
everything has changed.
Now I'm telling you, man, thewhole wrestling, the whole
everything has changed.
Now it ain't.
This is.
This is not back in the day andwhat it used to be.
So let.
And that's what's wrong with alot of the guys in it.
They refuse to change.

(09:13):
Okay, but you did.
You know they.
They're so hung up on whathappened in back in the day and
this is where you know I'm gonnakayfabe for the rest of my life
.
No, you're not okay.
Just stop and just look and payattention to what you're saying
and just get with the get withthe program.
If you can get a job now withthe change, then take the job to
check.
Quit worrying about itshouldn't be like this or it

(09:34):
shouldn't be like that.
Maybe it shouldn't be, butthat's the way of the world now
yep, zach minger.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Hey, mac and teddy, how are you?
I'm doing good, zach.
Thank you, uh, teddy, how youdoing?

Speaker 3 (09:45):
I'm doing good, zach.
How are you claire?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
let's see curly man.
Uh is in here.
By the way, I want to mentionthis too.
Curly man was our winner of ouruh weekly t-shirt giveaway.
Uh, and teddy chose him lastweek and he said uh, he said I
guess y'all forgot, but I justwon one just recently.
So he let know and said throwit back in the pile and we'll
give it away to somebody else.
So we're going to give away twoT-shirts tonight, two T-shirts.

(10:12):
So how'd you make that mistake?
I didn't Don't start.
You chose him, not me.
Well, I'm not the guy'sT-shirts.
Well, you're the one thatpicked, his letter being the
best one, the best question ofthe night.
Well, you should have been ontop of it.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
You should have said Teddy, no, we've already given
him one.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Teddy's got to take control of this.
I have been hit in the head waytoo many times to remember
something that happened a fewminutes ago.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Okay, you should have been hit in the head, or
there's something else.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
No, it's being hit in the head, that's it, and maybe
a little bit of age on top ofthat.
But he wants to know.
He says hey guys.
And, by the way, hey, CurlyTeddy, did you ever get to meet
Steve Mongo McMichael?

Speaker 3 (10:54):
I saw him.
It didn't God's been a while.
I might've met him and spoke tohim.
I might've did, I might havedid.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
I don't know, I'm not sure, but I didn't never, you
know see him a whole lot.
Yeah, he's a.
You know, we lost a Mongo anduh, he, he in WCW during the
Monday night wars.
He was one of the last people Ithought that I would enjoy on
TV, but I did, he was so outthere He'd be on screen.
I had this little tiny uh, whatwas it?
A poodle maybe, maybe, or achihuahua, something that he

(11:25):
brought out there.
You got this monster of a mansitting at the announcer desk
with a little tiny dog.
It's a great visual for TV, butyeah, he always enjoyed him
during the Monday Night Wars andI hate to hear that he is no
longer with us.
Let's see what else do we have.
We got some more questions inhere, ted.
We got Scott stopping.
Scott, uh, stopping by sayinghey guys stopped in to say hello

(11:46):
, about to go on a bicycle ride.
Have a great show, yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
All right, thank you for stopping by, and you ride
that cycle just as fast as youcan.
I bet you can't do me on cardio.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah Well, you know, you never know I gotta say this
this is for people who don'tknow Scott.
I've known Scott for severalyears now and Scott has some
heart issues and had to havesurgery and he has bounced back
from that heart surgery.
And, brother, you're doingawesome.
Keep up doing everything you'redoing.
It's inspiring to see whatyou've come back to.

(12:19):
Let's see Recently Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
I want to say something to him.
Man, congratulations.
Uh, you know, god, that's notready for you yet.
He gave you another chance, soI think you're in the right
direction.
You're going on a bicycle ride,man.
Keep that exercise in.
That's exactly what it's allabout, man.
Keep exercising, that dietaround and, uh, just live the
rest of your life by doing theright thing, you'll be okay
recently, logan pa Paulcommented that he offered Stone

(12:46):
Cold, steve Austin, $1 millionto wear the prime mascot costume
.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
And Stone Cold heard about this and he actually got a
little miffed.
He said this.
If he said that, I'm not goingto call him a liar, I just
thought it was personal business.
But since it's out there, yeah,I turned it down.
I'm in the beer business.
I don't know anything about hisproduct, its ingredients,

(13:15):
whether it's good or bad.
It just wasn't my thing.
But yeah, he was not happy thatLogan Paul put that personal
business out there.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
I'm so glad of that too, that somebody like Steve
Austin, a guy you know, canstand up and fight back on silly
stuff.
That was just something silly, and you know Steve knew better.
You know what I mean.
So, yeah, thank God we stillgot people like Steve, you know.
Stand up to these guys whenthey like the money, is it?
Yeah, the money is it, but justcertain people like Austin.

(13:46):
He don't need the money, and soI'm the right guy, not somebody
that you know.
I mean a million dollars, amillion dollars, don't get me
wrong, but sometimes, man, youknow you're about your.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
So if you can do that and Steve Austin could do it,
yeah, there are certain people Iwonder, if they had approached
who would have said yes, and Ican think of a bunch of guys who
probably would have jumped atthe chance.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Yeah well, a million dollars, that's all.
It should be a million at once.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Oh yeah, but you know , nowadays is a million dollars
enough.
Well, who knows JBL, jbl, jblI'm talking about uh Scott a
minute ago, about how well he'sdoing health-wise, JBL man, he's
tearing it up, he's getting inincredible shape and he recently
was commenting on TNA wrestlingand he said, quote I don't know

(14:37):
if it's the old baggage fromTNA of 10, 15 years ago.
It's still a secondarypromotion behind WWE, but it's
doing great.
I think what gets them out ofbeing considered an independent
is a TV contract, and I thinkthey'll get one.
I don't have any insideinformation on this, but WWE has

(15:00):
left a huge void by going tostreaming, and terrestrial TV
needs live television.
I think they'll get a TVcontract, I hope they do, and
when they do, I think that'swhen you start considering them
different than just TNA.
Your thoughts, teddy?

Speaker 3 (15:20):
I agree, certainly agree, man.
Once they get that TNA deal, then you know, you'll see
exactly and I understand what itmeans about you know WWE going
streaming.
I mean you still got to havethat local wrestling.
Yes, you know, like I, saideverybody don't have Netflix and
some people that do have itthey don't even want it.
So, you still got to have whatwe I mean you can call it back

(15:41):
in the day or whatever, but it'swhat brought us to the dance.
So you still need that Saturdaynight wrestling or whatever
nights or whatever they are.
You know where people can.
You know tune in.
And I think, with WWE being onthe Netflix, if TNA gets a TV
deal, that's going to shoot themright on to the top.
Yeah, I don't think it's goingto take much to get there Well

(16:02):
they've got to make sure they'vegot the right talent too and
the right people to run itCorrect.
If you've got the right peoplein charge and the right talent,
then you're going to besuccessful.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
All right, teddy, we're going to step away just
real quick to tell you about theICW Fan Fest 3 that's coming up
May 16th and 17th and on theother side of that commercial
we're going to tell you allabout asking Teddy any question
you have about anything.
He'll answer it, like it or not.
Stand by, we'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
SICW Fan Fest 3 is almost here.
Meet your favorite wrestlingsuperstars.
May 16th and 17th St Louis.
Get up close and personal withwrestling legend s-i-c-worg.
Come on, do it right now,s-i-c-worg, don't wait, make

(16:54):
plans.
May 16th and 17th at the hiltonst louis airport s-I-C-W Fan

(17:15):
Fest.
3.
Mailman, mailman, mail today, reach my hand and pull one out.
Those letters, I love thoseletters.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Let's find out what you've got to say, oh boy,
Mailman mail today.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
All right, all right, teddy.
Let's see your first questioncoming in from our emails,
facebook or Twitter, those areaswhere we get them during the
week.
Lansley in Utah writes who doyou find to be?

Speaker 3 (17:58):
the most entertaining wrestler today.
That's a good question.
Golly man, that is really agood question.
Golly man, that is really agood question.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Because he's specified entertaining.
So you know, obviously helistens to the show.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
Well, I'd have to, you know, I'd have to say the
Rock.
I mean, there's nobody on thatmicrophone that's better than
him.
And he has not only the talk,he has charisma, he has the
style.
You know how to fit every word,so I would have to think he's
an entertaining guy to me.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
If we take the vets, you know the guys that have been
around for quite some time.
You know some of the JohnCena's and Randy Orton's.
Take them out of the picture.
Who in the new group do youthink may be the most
entertaining right now?

Speaker 3 (18:43):
picture.
Who in the new group do youthink may be the most
entertaining right now?
Uh, I like sammy zane.
I really do.
I mean, he's a guy.
I don't care what you do to him, you know what I mean.
He still gets back up and keepon pushing you know what I?
mean, and I, I I do like sammyzane, I really like him and,
like I said, I've always lanight.
I think he's doing a good joband he's gotten a lot uh, and

(19:04):
you can't leave out, uh, jay uso, gee, yes, I guess he's
certainly come a long way, buthe certainly proved himself and
he's doing.
An outstanding chance to seerikishi this past weekend too,
and, uh, me and him had a chanceto have a good talk about jay
and, like I said, I knew jay andhis brother when they were
little bitty boys there, so Iwatched them grow up.
But congratulations to him andthere's a lot of new guys on

(19:28):
that roster that are going to dogood.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
That's the one thing I see in today's roster in WWE.
There are some stars in thereright now, but we don't have an
abundance of these stars like wedid back in the Attitude era or
even in the Ruthless Aggressionera.
There were just so many peoplethat were over all at one time,
but I feel like we're inchingour way back to that.

(19:52):
If they take their time withsome of this talent, I think we
might end up seeing.
It may take a year or two, butI think we may see one hell of a
roster down the line if theykeep going the way they're going
.
Let's see.
Sam, I Am, asks what was themost irate you ever saw Vince
McMahon get?

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Most irate.
I think I saw him.
Oh God, yeah, I was standing inthe gorilla position.
Oh God, yeah, uh-oh, I wasstanding in the gorilla position
.
The gorilla position is wherewe stand before we go out.
When we come out and I'm likeI'm opening up the show, and so

(20:34):
about this time here comes oneof the writers there and he
gives the show to Vince and I'mstanding there, he looks at it
and he's waiting a few minutesand then all of a sudden he
breaks out and he says who isshit Like that?
And the next thing I know, he'sjust fucking ripping it up and
he throws it away.
And he told the writer he saysget another show.

(20:55):
Now I've got.
Now he calls me and he tells mewhat are me, what was I saying
out there?
And I told him and he said well, you're not going to say that,
here's what I want you to say.
So he changed my whole promo inmidair.
So, not to forget about allthat, I don't remember and I'm
trying to remember what he justtold me and I'm like two minutes

(21:15):
, we're going live, okay.
So that was kind of great, right there.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Let's see um michael steel stopping by again this
week.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
We appreciate you, michael.
Thank you, michael, thank youfor joining us every week.
Man you're, you're a trueteacher, true player holla
player.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
He says I'm going to be at the car show this saturday
at memorial veterans park indallas, georgia.
Swing by if you're in town, okay, yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
I know where.
That is All right.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
And let's see, we have an old friend of mine in
there.
Do you recognize who this is?
Are you paying these people?
No, he's a friend of yours too.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Okay, I come here when they pop up.
You already know him.
This is some conspiracy here.
Something is going on with you.
I believe you're getting akickback or something.
I don't know.
I need to just start checkingyou out.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
All right, miss Daisy , let's see here, okay, call me,
I don't care.
Well, you know you are a littleMiss Daisy Shoot Taylor's next.
Ah, okay, is that who you'recoming up against?
I might have to talk to you.
So we need to get you on theshow because this is somebody
who again, well, never mind, because Teddy will give me shit,
sorry, hey, I'll talk about itnext week, maybe we'll get you

(22:29):
on the show then.
Teddy can't be so rude abouteverything.
Let's go back to the questionshere.
You can't get him on the showwithout my approval.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
It's together, and it's together.
This ain't no one-man band.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
That's right.
Remember that I got thedisconnect button Al from
Facebook Any stories of Normanthe Lunatic.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
No, not really.
He's a pretty easy guy to getalong with.
Like I said, I just startedmanaging then, so I'm still
trying to learn the ropes.
But I had a good time withNorman, but I don't think he
ever did anything that wascourageous.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
I was going to ask you.
That's what I was about to askyou was that?
Was he like a party guy or washe a very quiet individual, kind
of keeps to himself?

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Well, I think he was kind of kept to himself.
I don't think he was in a party.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Yeah, because I never heard much about Norman other
than when he was on TV.
A lot of those guys would showup.
You'd hear about somethingsomewhere, but his name just
never came up.
Let's see Sylvia on X.
Wrestlers have to havearguments from time to time even
to the point of fighting oneanother.

(23:41):
What was the worst real fight?
You saw backstage.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
It was Steve Dockerdale Williams and Road
Warrior Hulk God rest both of us.
And also I seen a good one.
There was Eddie Guerrero Godrest his soul and Kurt Angle, so
those were pretty intense.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Guerrero and Angle.
That had to be wow.
That had to be something to see.
Was it a quick one?

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Well, the guys broke it up.
It started in the ring and so Idon't know, I guess somebody
buzzed them or something and itdied there.
But as soon as they got out ofthe ring and they got backstage,
then that's when it started allover again or something and it
died there.
But as soon as they got out ofthe ring and they got backstage,
then that's when it started allover again.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
All right, let's see, we have Joey77.
Teddy, did you like being areferee?

Speaker 3 (24:32):
It didn't bother me at all the referees.
If I had never put on thestripes, I'd never be where I am
today.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
There were some great matches with you.
I want to say it was Chi-Town.
Maybe it was a Chi-Town heat, where it was a steamboat and
flair, yeah, but a title.
Do you have matches like thatthat you remember as a referee
that stick out in your mind?

Speaker 3 (24:55):
God I had so many man .
It's been so long.
I'd say a lot of good ones were.
I loved and enjoyed refferingwith the Horsemen, you know,
because I'm in there with someguys that really know how to
work and I mean they put it onand they made you work and
that's what I wanted to do.
I wanted to work.
You know, when you're in thegroup you want to be moving, you
know, right along with the flow.
So with the Horsemans, I had agreat time refereeing their

(25:18):
matches.
The Road Warriors I had guys, just so many guys.
Harley Race had the opportunityto referee one of his matches.
So, you know, just to be ableto sit in and say that I've been
with the greatest of thisbusiness, you know, is enough.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
All right.
Our next question here, jesseasks was there a reason for your
weight gain during your time inwcw with craig pitman and ice
train?

Speaker 3 (25:45):
yeah, it was a reason for it.
I was taking appeals, I was onloris, it was take it took.
I had to take six of them everyday to even function.
So once I just started doingthe drugs and stuff, I just
forgot about training, forgotabout working out, because I
always worked out even before Ieven got into wrestling.
So, yeah, that problem you knowwhat I mean it was bad, but I

(26:08):
was able to overcome it and soI'm just glad.
God bless me.
I didn't OD or nothing.
So I learned, believe me, Ilearned my lesson.
I had a chance to learn a lotof things.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yes, and you know, when I look back at it, I you
know, it strikes me, as youdon't even look like yourself at
all.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Well, look at me and ice train man.
I was like I think I was 250pounds when I was managing ice
train.
My head was bigger, bigger thanmy stomach.
So yeah, man, I've been there, done that, I've dropped the
balloon.
God has blessed me to stillstay alive.
So that's why I stay in the gymand do the right thing and just

(26:46):
trying to keep on going.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Alright, bob Cook.
Hey Bob, good to see you inhere Saying hello, gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (26:53):

Are you still in Florida?
And this is the Bob Cook guy.
I feel pretty confident that'swho we're talking to.
You're not though.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
Well, if you feel confident, then that tells my
point.
You're paying these guys.
You, then that tells my point.
You're paying these guys,you're getting a kickback.
Yeah, something's going on withyou.
Oh, my God, I can tell youright now I'm not going to fall
in his footsteps, bob Cook, I'mnot giving you no t-shirt.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Just you're saying it's me, yeah well, hey, yeah,
you know, I know I've got fromback in the day florida
championship wrestling.
I had a chance to go down andwork for a gram, a little bit
just moving.

He's still alive and doing goodstuff.

Speaker 2 (28:01):

Uh, fred's wife had fallen tosome bad health at one time and
I think he may have gone thereto help out.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Bob has always been a nice guy.
He's a guy that would do stufflike that.
Bob has always been a nice guy.

Speaker 2 (28:25):

between Jeff Jarrett, debra ValVenus and Nicole Bass.
Please give your thoughts onmemories of each.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Jesus Christ, you're really taking me back now,
especially with Nicole Bass.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yeah, that was going to be the first one.
That's, the first one I reallywanted to know about was Nicole
Bass.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Yeah, well, like I said I, I had the opportunity to
referee with the greatest jeffjared in there, nicole bass.
Uh, what was the other girl?
I would say jeff.
Uh, deborah was.
Deborah was in there, yeah, soyeah, it was great, man.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Like I told you, man, I've worked with the best I uh
anything about nicole bass thatyou can recall, uh working with
her he was yes, she was allright she, she was like a baby.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
You know, when you talk to her, you're like yeah,
she, just, she was always.
Something was always wrong.
She was always complainingabout, but she had this voice.
You know, she's different thanwhen she cut a promo, but when
you talk to her in person, man,she was like Teddy.
I don't know, I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
She wasn't the big badass that you thought.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
No, but she was a sweetheart man.
God she was great.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
What about Val Venus?
Did you have a good timeworking with him?

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Yeah, yeah, love Val.
Good time working with him.
Man, that gimmick he had wasgreat too.
When he come out, hello lady, yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Do you think there's anybody else that could have
pulled that gimmick off?
No, I agree, val Venus.
He was born for that gimmick,or he made that gimmick to the
point where nobody could evercome behind him and try to do
the same thing.
It would never work.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
That's what you're supposed to do.
Then you don't have to worry.
It's like the boogeyman.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Who wants to put the worms in their mouth, but he
ain't scared.
