We'll throw it up on the screenand you can become a part of
the show.
Teddy, what's your plans?
I know?
Speaker 2 (00:32):
you're looking for a
fun weekend, aren't you?
Well, of course I am.
I'm going to go up and visitthe lovely Denise, and that's
all I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Now I do know that
the lovely Denise makes some
delicious banana pudding, whichI have not had the chance to
taste yet.
Denise and I know she'll pop inon the show from time to time,
so you may have to put some in aTupperware dish and send it
home with Teddy, Of course,Teddy probably will eat it when
he even gets home.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
That's right.
And since you brought that up,I got banana pudding waiting on
me and I also got her daughtermakes a lovely red velvet.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Oh, wow, yeah, both
of which I love.
I love red velvet cake too.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
This is the homemade
version.
She's telling me how good it is.
I haven't had any of that yet.
So Saturday will be my cheatday.
Everybody has a cheat day, sothat's the day I'll try banana
pudding and the red velvet, butafter that I'm done.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yeah sure, there's a
dozen Krispy Kreme donuts just
sitting by Sly.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Keep on talking about
.
I had a dozen Krispy Kremedonuts.
I gave them donuts to the crew.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
He had two dozen
Krispy Kreme donuts and ate them
all by himself.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Nobody would believe
that.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
He did over two days.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Two dozen Krispy
Kreme donuts.
Nobody would never believe that.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Look how well fit he
is, and yet he still can eat two
dozen Krispy Kreme donuts.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I've never ate two
dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts in
my entire life.
Oh, don't be telling stories.
I never even dreamed abouteating two dozen of Krispy Kreme
donuts.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
You know, teddy, I'm
sitting here and you know, today
we're doing the show and ofcourse it's live and it's
September 11th and, man, I can'thelp but go back to think about
how things were back on 9-11.
A lot happened.
The country changed quite a bit, and wrestling was a big part
of that.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
When it came to the
attacks on the 10th Good evening
(02:58):
, ladies and gentlemen, andwelcome to Houston Texas for a
very special live edition ofSmackdown.
Tonight the spirit of Americalives here in Houston Texas.
This is the first publicassembly of its size since the
(03:25):
tragedy of Tuesday, for we are aproud people, proud of who we
are, proud of our nation anddamn proud to be American.
Usa, usa, usa.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
You know a strong
video of a lot of that, being
produced, of course, by WWE andTeddy.
I remember after 9-11, I got tobe honest too.
While I was watching that I wasgetting chills and a little
emotional because that's how bigof an event that was.
But you were there for thatSmackDown, were you not?
For that broadcast?
Yeah, tell me how it wasbackstage, when you knew that
(04:18):
you were going to go out infront of the public the first
public gathering after 9-11,were there a lot of people who
were a little bit nervous aboutshowing up for the show, or what
was the thought backstage?
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Well, everybody was,
you know, pretty much glad to be
there, you know, and everybodyreally wanted to speak.
And you know, just havesomething to say, because,
brother, what a tragic eventthat was.
The backstage movement was kindof a little hectic because then
they stopped, they canceled allthe flights and then now what
(04:51):
we got to do?
Now we had to get a rental carand we was in Houston that's
where we had to get a rental carand drive all the way from
Houston all the way to Atlantato get home, because you
couldn't get no flights.
So everything was pretty hecticthere and that's what guys were
really trying to do.
Everybody was racing to themrental cars, man trying to get a
car so they could get home.
But other than that, I reallyappreciate you thinking about
(05:15):
that and what you just did there, that was outstanding.
And what a great deliverancefrom Vince man.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
I was going to say
that.
You know, I don't know that Icould see that working today,
with the current atmosphere inWWE, I feel like that was a
Vince thing, because that wasVince saying screw you.
That's just who he was.
And he was coming out goingscrew you, you're not going to
change the way we act and theway we live.
And that's why he was out thereon TV.
(05:44):
Nobody said, hey, this willmake great TV.
He just knew it needed to bedone and he did it.
Yes, yes.
So I mean, you know you give aguy a lot of credit and then
people poke at him all the time, but there were moments when it
came to being an American andbeing proud of the country and
things that we should be proudabout, he always stood up for
that, including.
(06:05):
I even think, to this pointright now, that with the way the
ticket prices are, I don'tthink Vince would have ever
allowed ticket prices to get sooutrageous where the average fan
can't buy a ticket.
You know what I mean, teddy.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Well, everybody's
greedy.
You know that's what it'scalled.
It's called greed.
You know what I mean.
And it doesn't make any sense.
You know you're going to getthe money.
Just don't try to get it all atone time or take it all so
somebody else can't eat, orsomething like that.
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
It's really sad All
right guys, we're going to come
right back.
We've got time right now, though, to open the mailbag
Letters oh, we get letters.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
We get your letters
every day Mailman, mailman, mail
today.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Reach right in and
pull one out.
Oh letters.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
I love those letters.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Let's find out what
you've got to say.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Oh boy, Mailman mail
to day.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
And before we get
into that mail bag, let's look
at some of the comments cominginto the room right now.
Zach is in the room.
Hey, zach.
Nice t-shirt, mac.
I appreciate that.
By the way, for those who can'tsee what that is, that's the
Randy Savage Macho man T-shirtOne of the old classics there.
Appreciate that Pretty classylady popping in saying hey, mac
and Teddy.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Good afternoon, how
are you?
Speaker 1 (07:36):
See she's also saying
Teddy, the streets did hear
that you allegedly ate threedozen that night.
You may be right, pretty classylady.
It may be three dozen.
I remember the two, but I fellout after the first box.
I just dozed off and he wasstill just sitting at the table
in the middle of the hotel.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I already know this
is not true, because they're
saying something about I had himat Survivor Series.
I wasn't at no Survivor Serieswith no donuts.
So there you go, right there.
That explains that whole lie, right there.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
And also Zach's
saying National Carrot Cake
pretty classy lady.
Mac and Teddy saying hey toeverybody.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
National Carrot Cake.
What is it?
Is it National Carrot Cake Day?
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Do you eat carrot
cake?
Yeah, I like it.
It doesn't even sound good tome.
Why do I want to eat a dessert?
Speaker 2 (08:24):
made from a.
I've tried it.
I swear man.
I don't know whether you evertried it or not, but it's really
good.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
I've always been one
of those cobbler type of guys.
You know I like give me a goodapple pie with a good cinnamon
crust on top of it, or somethinglike that.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Well, I think pretty
classy lady responded to him.
She says is it really NationalCameron Cake Day, zach?
So she's letting you know thatyou're just making that up.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yep Curly man saying
hey, Teddy.
And Mac Curly man, good to seeyou in here, Holla at a player
Curly man.
Yeah, I think we missed you lastweek.
Maybe I'm wrong, let's see.
Also John Adams, holla holla, teddy and Mac man.
It's good to have all you guysin the room right now.
Uh, by the way, if you'd liketo be a part of the program,
just leave us a comment.
We'll throw it up on the screen.
It doesn't cost you anything.
It's absolutely free up until 730 of the night, and after that
(09:10):
it'll cost you 29.99 per minute.
No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
We won't be here
after that you're putting up
with me and mac.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
That's what it's
gonna cost you, oh yeah you
couldn't stand a car ridebetween teddy and I.
Let's see Kenneth Bechnerpopping in here saying yo guys,
kenny.
By the way, teddy, I don't knowif you've had a chance.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Can you ask Kenny
right now, since he's there, can
you make sure he's standing upwhen he's talking to us?
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Well, yeah, because
you can't see his head right now
.
I was going to mention this too.
He is a part of a show that Idid.
I went and covered uh microwrestling just recently and
Kenneth Beckner is a big part ofthe interview in there.
So if you get a chance, go touh uh, see my Facebook page and
you'll see the link where to goto for TV 35 and that's where
you can watch that.
But Kenneth is on that, as amatter of fact, and Kenneth is
(09:56):
known.
Teddy, and I forgot Teddy.
Let me ask you something, teddy.
I found this out while talkingto Kenneth by the those of you
who are listening and watchingright now.
Kenneth Beckner is a midgetwrestler.
Okay, I just want to make surethat, because otherwise you may
get lost what we're talkingabout here.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
He's a midget.
I don't know nothing about thewrestling.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Yeah, well, you know,
but did you know that he's only
been in the business for fiveyears?
Speaker 2 (10:22):
No, I didn't know
that.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
I thought he had been
in the business for a long time
, teddy.
That means that when you and Imet him, probably he was just
starting.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Well, you know, when
you find a guy like that, that
means he wants it.
He's settled in and he's becomeone of the boys, and when you
can do that you know what I meanthat's really good.
That means he wants to be apart of it.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
He's an entertainer
by all means.
Yes he is Entertainer, what agreat, great attitude.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
I mean anything you
ask them to do.
You know he didn't have noproblem doing it.
Man, what a hell of a nice guy.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
John Adams saying
Vince always spoke his mind.
Teddy, you know that feature.
Oh, yeah, yes he did Prettyclassy.
Let me say Mac.
What movie is that that ChevyChase clip from?
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Oh God, you mean to
tell me she called in and asked
us about this movie.
What is that?
About 50 years old or something?
I don't even think Mac knowswhat it is, he just saw it.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
No, no, no.
I think she may be talkingabout Caddyshack or one of the
movies from during that time, but yeah, you probably don't
remember any of that.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
No, I don movies from
during that time.
But yeah, you, yeah, youprobably don't remember any of
that.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
No, I don't.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Oh yeah, that's part
of your time when you probably
couldn't uh it wasn't at a timeI couldn't, I just wasn't able
to.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Yeah, yeah, you know,
I understand that.
Uh, let's see the meltdown.
Uh, hey, good to see you inhere, brother.
9-11 was a hard day to be onthe road.
We were in san antonio for rawon monday the night.
We were there about to fly outof Houston on Tuesday morning
back to Atlanta, and everythingchanged.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah, man, I can
remember exactly where I was,
and all of us that lived duringthat time you know.
You hear people say that.
You know.
I remember where I was whenthis happened.
That was one of those moments Ido remember.
I was working in radio and I wasin my office office and I got
the call about the first planethat hit the tower number one,
and I turned on the TV in myoffice to see what was going on
(12:12):
so I could know what washappening.
And I saw that second plane hitlive and I called down to the
studio and that entire staff Ihad at that time.
Man, we went into emergencymode, all music stopped.
We went straight informationand these were guys who had no
experience whatsoever on how todo that and, man, they pulled
off just one hell of a day ofreporting of the things that
(12:34):
were happening in our country, because a lot of people were
just scared to death.
In fact, I still talk about itto this day and I still get
choked up when I talk about thisevent, and that's just how much
it hit me.
Pretty classy lady.
No, I'm sorry, I got the wrongone here.
What's this?
Hey, mac and Teddy, where wasthe angle shot where you were
(12:55):
driving Ric Flair's limo andDoom attacked him.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
In Atlanta, georgia,
it was a street called Peter
Street.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Where is that located
now?
Atlanta, what part of Atlanta,though?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Peter Street.
It's over by, I think,southwest Atlanta.
If you live in Atlanta, youknow where Peter Street is maybe
.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Southwest Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
I don't have any idea
.
All I know is right there nearthe Georgia Dome.
It's close to that.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Let's see Curly man
saying hey, teddy and Mac.
I don't have any idea.
All I know is right there nearthe Georgia Dome.
It's close to that.
Let's see Curly man saying hey, teddy and Mac, what do you
think of the return of AJ Leeand Teddy, have you got a chance
to work with her?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Oh yeah, I spoke
about that on Sportskeeda that I
was happy to see her back.
I had a chance to work with herwhen she first started and what
a great lady, great attitude, great person to work with.
So I think it's a good movethat they brought her back and I
think that's going to be moneythere, her and CM Punk teaming
(13:58):
up together.
I think that's money.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
I do too.
Now, you know, I think I wouldhave brought her in and done a
couple things different when shecame back.
But at the end of the day, whatthe hell do?
I know they got so manymillions of views.
It worked.
So, no matter what how it waspresented, it still worked.
But man, there are ways I wouldhave done it just a little bit
different.
Scott Lance popping in the room, I guess I got questions in the
mailbag.
I got to get to Scott Lancethoughts about managing Marcus
(14:23):
Bagwell early on in his careerand didn't change backstage
after he became Buff Bagwell no,uh, marcus was great to work
with.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
I managed him in
two-cold Scorpio at the time and
, uh, like I said, I didn't haveno problem with Marcus, not at
all.
Uh, it was okay.
Uh, I don't think he changed oranything, nothing about that.
He may have changed his attire, his gear or something when he
went to Buff Bagwell, but otherthan that, that would be a
change.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
That's all I saw yeah
, buff was always uh.
Despite the problems that hehad in his life, buff was always
pretty well liked by guysbecause he was always a nice guy
.
Really, when, when he was good,he was good.
Uh, he just he just had somedemons that caused him problems.
I just saw recently too, keepmind they just amputated above
his knee on one of his legs Ithink it was his right leg.
(15:10):
I just saw him throwing out thefirst pitch in a ballgame,
teddy Well you can't let nothinglike that get you down.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Man, it's like me.
I don't stop, brother, I keepon going.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Yeah, I love seeing
stuff like that.
Yeah, 40-ounce C-Dub, hey C-Dub.
Computer class in high schoolwas where I was looking up
wrestling rumors on a wrestlingsite.
I think a lot of peopleprobably did that back then.
All right, let's get some ofthese questions from the mailbag
and, by the way, you can stillbe a part of the show.
Just simply drop us a commentin the comment section or a
(15:42):
question and we'll throw it upon the screen.
It doesn't cost you anything.
Curtis, in Washington State, was there ever a time where you
were worried over an overexcitedfan?
That's a good question.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
No, well, I'll tell
you what this is.
Way back in the day, man, jesusChrist, I think I just started
managing and we were down inMontgomery, alabama, and there
was this lady that always she'sat ringside.
She was at every show.
Anytime you went to Montgomeryshe was there and she was also
loaded with a cup of snuff.
(16:17):
She had this snuff that youknow, once she would dip they
called it and once she didwhatever and spit it back in the
cup and she saved it and shehated the heels and anybody that
got close to her she would dashit.
I mean, a lot of guys caught it.
She would throw it on you.
So I was always worried abouther when I always went out
because I definitely didn't wantthat dip to get all over me
(16:38):
yeah, that's nasty stuff andyeah, that's nasty stuff, man,
yeah I used to chew tobacco whenI was in high school.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Uh, and, and that's
back when you had a red man.
You get in the pouch, put it upin the corner of your cheek and
the dentist taught me how to dothat.
Gary in Chicago asks youmentioned Kevin Sullivan quite a
lot.
Any stories you can share thatyou haven't told?
Speaker 2 (17:00):
No, oh, let's see.
Oh, I tell you, this is good.
I think we were in Amarillo, texas, and it was me, kevin Paul
Heyman was there, and Kevin'sson, whose name was Ben.
Well, at the time I think Benmay have been 8, 10 years old, I
guess maybe.
But anyway, we're looking forthe car one night, so we get
(17:24):
ready to go Now.
We can't for the car one night,so we get ready to go Now.
We can't find the car.
So all of a sudden, I come backup to the room, and where my
room was, it was a balcony there.
So, you know, I step out on thebalcony there for a little
minute and I look up and I seethe car, but I don't see nobody
driving it.
So what happens is Ben is solittle until he's driving.
(17:44):
I don't know how he's touchingthe gas or nothing, but he's
driving and he's just going inand around the hotel.
So, man, we had to run out andget Ben out of the car.
Another time we was there inAmarillo, we went up and we went
to the Palo Duro Canyon.
Well, me, you know, I'm, youknow, under the influence.
(18:05):
So I say, let's climb Palo DuroCanyon, let's go up the rock.
So I start climbing, ben startsclimbing.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Teddy is Spider-Man,
oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
So Ben starts
climbing Okay, me and him.
So we go up, and so, on the wayback down, ben loses his watch.
So now we got to go back up andget it.
Kevin didn't want to go.
He said Lee, do I get it?
I get it, but Ben is crying, hewants his watch.
Okay.
(18:35):
So I go right back and say I'llget it.
You know me, I'm under theinfluence.
I get it.
I go right back up the rock, Istart climbing.
So I do see the watch, I getthe watch.
Now I'm on my way down andsomething tells me now there's
another rock that I need to geton to to get down.
So something tells me you canjump to that other rock.
(18:56):
You know you can do that.
You can just leap right overthere.
Don't worry, it's great, everything's going to be fine.
You're not Spider-Man were.
It's great, it's, everything'sgonna be fine.
You're a spider man, you're aspider monkey.
All of a sudden I took that leapand that was it, and I never
reached the rock.
But I hit, as I'm coming down,uh, mac at.
Both of my arms are like thisand they're scraping the seat,
(19:17):
the rocks and stuff.
Okay, I mean just taking allthe skin off my arms.
So when I get down and wefinally go back to the hotel, I
mean my arms are so ate up, theskin is off them, I can't do
nothing but try to absorb somealcohol.
I put alcohol on them but thatset me on fire.
Yeah, I'm already numb, so Idon't know.
(19:40):
So I don't know the difference.
So they wrapped both of my armsand stuff up and I put my suit
on and I went to work that nightand managed it.
Nobody knew it.
Oh, God oh man and me and Kevin.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Oh yeah, I mean Kevin
probably owed you a lot after
that.
I'm surprised you didn't sayyou owe me for that.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Man, kevin, done so
much for me.
God rest his soul.
Man, I learned so much from him.
He was another great one thatknew this business like the back
of his hand, very creative, andI had the nerve to be the guy
to sit right next to him and hotstuff, eddie Gilbert, and learn
it all when they were bookingthe NWO.
I can say it now, but wasn'tnobody supposed to be in that
(20:21):
room with Kevin?
But I was there through thatwhole booking every night.
I knew everything and I watchedhow Kevin did things, I watched
how Eddie Gilbert done stuffand I have solved a lot.
I just learned.
I kept my mouth shut and I keptremembering and learning and so
it.
And then it all paid off, because when I did finally put
it all together and see whatthis is all about, then I was
able to, you know, to do it.
(20:43):
And then that's why I guess Igot my heat, because I learned.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Yeah, we had Kevin
Sullivan as a guest on one of
our early episodes of Road TripAfter Hours.
Look that up in the library onYouTube here, because that was a
fantastic interview.
Kevin, like you say, he is sosmart to this business.
He's one of those minds in thebusiness that only come along
once in a while.
You may think there's hundredsof them, but there isn't.
There's only a handful ofpeople who really know how to
(21:09):
tell stories and understand whyit needs to be told a certain
way to make you get excited.
Kevin Sullivan was one of thoseguys for sure.
We've got somebody else hereTeddy Scott, lance, hey, scott,
say any memories of thestoryline referee strike in 1999
where the WWF had scab referees?
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Yeah, I remember some
of that, not a whole lot of it,
though, I really don't.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Let's see, also, we
got one here.
Somebody's saying this is Jeff.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
I just went to work
there too, so you know, that's
why I really don't remember noneof it, because I'm so busy
trying to make sure I don't messnothing up here, because you
know I'm up here in the WWF thebig time, you know.
So I definitely don't want toscrew nothing up.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
No, Joe Hamilton.
Nick is in the room.
Hey, nick, good to see you, myfriend.
By the way, I love your mailbagshow Y, your mailbag show.
Y'all need to look that up.
The mailbag with Nick PatrickGood show, good show.
But he's saying tell him aboutyour son and Ben trying to peek
at Salt-N-Pepa.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Oh yeah, we was in.
I think it was Knoxville, Ibelieve it was.
So you know that Ben, he was aterror.
I mean, ben was, he was so hewould get on your nerves so bad.
I'll tell you a story about him.
I'll tell you about him and myson.
Well, what they did.
We had Salt-N-Pepa there.
(22:35):
She was a guest, you know.
They were going to performthere, and so they went to the
locker room or somewhere theywent, but anyway, they drilled
them a hole through the wall sothey could peek through that
hole and watch Salt-N-Pepaundress.
I'm telling you, it's goddamntrue.
Nick just confirmed it.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Oh, wow, oh yeah.
How did you find out?
Did they own up to it?
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Nobody, never found
out, not now.
They have now.
Well, now you know, but it'sbeen 20 years ago, too late.
Golly, that's great.
Hey, let me holler at Nick too.
Man, good talking to you andGod.
You remember that story.
Nick Patrick and I.
We rode a lot together for along, long time.
(23:16):
We were just so close and hewas another person that I'd love
to ride with, because Nick wasalways a man.
He would always tell you likeit is.
He didn't beat around and giveyou all that bullshit.
Nick Patrick, I love you, man.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
What was the name
that he called you?
We kept trying to figure outGlico Beak.
Okay, nick, if you're still inthe room tell us what that name
means.
Where did it come from?
Because Teddy doesn't remember, but he remembers you calling
that name.
So he remember, but heremembers you calling that name.
He's got to remind us, oreither he's just not telling me
the truth.
I don't, you don't.
Okay, I'm saying I know a thingor two about liquid courage.
(23:54):
Teddy may have invented parkour.
Let's see Also who we have here.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
I have no idea what
Parkour is.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
That's a form of.
It's kind of like what, johnnyNitro, what all the other names
he's had, but he used to be ableto bounce off walls and turn
around and jump from building tobuilding crazy stuff like that.
Let's see we also have 40 elsegiving a little heads up on Joe
and who else we got here.
(24:26):
We got a lot.
No, I don't want to add you toa block list, sorry.
Hey, look here.
If I just blocked you, I'msorry.
I don't blame them for peeking.
Push it, push it, push it real.
You know this guy, by the way.
40 else.
He's a character.
I just saw him the other night.
He was at the Midget Show too.
As a matter of fact.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
That's great, I love
it.
We've got Push it, push it RealGood.
That was their song.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Scott Lance any fun
stories about or with Norman the
Lunatic, and why were youmanaging him so short?
Why was your managing of him so?
Speaker 2 (25:02):
short-lived, I don't
remember.
I guess they didn't want todeal with it anymore.
But no, I don't really have nomemories with Norman.
I remember him being one of thefirst guys when I first started
managing there.
He was one of the guys that Imanaged.
He got out of the hospital andI used to lead him around with
the key.
He was a great guy to work withand, like I said, I won't call
(25:25):
no name, but I remember one timewe did something in the ring
and so I kicked him in thebehind, you know, to get out.
Oh man, what did I?
And I didn't even think nothingabout that.
So you know, a black mankicking a white man in the
behind.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
I can just imagine
where the heat came from too.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
Oh brother, believe
me.
Like I said right after that, Ithink that's when they took him
from me.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Okay, here we go.
Joe's written back in.
All right, nick, here we go.
I was going to make a comeback.
I was going to go as GeekOblique that morphed into Gleeko
Beak in our highness.
Okay, geek Oblique that morphedinto Gleeko Beak in our
highness Okay, it was under theinfluence for which that name
(26:14):
came from.
All right, let's see Jack inthe Box on X writes will you be
coming back to?
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Jacksonville for
River City Wrestling Con next
year.
Well, I don't know.
Right now it's a little tooearly, so I haven't been called
yet.
But if I am called, I'd love tobe back there and we definitely
will let you know.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
Yeah, that's always a
fun place.
I enjoy going there, butthere's a sushi restaurant we
talk about every time we go andwe didn't miss it this last time
and anytime we go, we are inthat sushi restaurant.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Oh yeah, man Wasn't
that a nice place.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
God man, that's the
first time I ever had a fried
Oreo.
Never heard of them before.
That boy was that good.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
I think you had about
10 of those, didn't you?
Why do you keep on turning?
Speaker 1 (26:59):
I can't believe you
can eat that much.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
Nobody's going to
believe any of that that you're
telling them about me.
They can look at me, they knowthat's not true.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Let's see If you
could do anything else in life,
teddy.
What would it be?
Speaker 2 (27:15):
And that's from Sandy
in DC, I don't know.
I'm just kind of relaxed nowand just enjoying the rest of my
life.
You know I'd like to maybe dosomething in wrestling.
Maybe you know work behind thescenes a little bit.
Share some of my knowledge, help the young talent.
You know that needs to behelped.
You know I'd like to dosomething like that.
But you know, other than that, that's about it.
(27:38):
I'm happy right now.
I'm just enjoying my life withthe knees, so I'm happy right
now.
I'm just enjoying my life withthe knees, so I'm happy.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
If you could have
done anything else other than
wrestling in your lifetime.
Teddy, was there ever like adream job where you thought, man
, if I'm not going to make it towrestling, I'm going to do this
?
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Well, that's kind of
backwards for me, because the
first thing I did before I gotin wrestling it was, like you, I
worked in radio.
So radio would have been what Iwould have went to if I hadn't
never made it in wrestling.
So the thing was, I was luckyenough to stay in wrestling, you
know, and keep on keeping a jobtill finally, you know, my
break came.
So you know, I waited it out.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Joss.
So stopping in saying what'sgoing on y'all.
Hey, we appreciate seeing you,my friend.
We're glad you're in the roomand, by the way, we do this
every Thursday night 7 o'clockEastern Time live, unless
something happens to come upthat gets in the way.
Occasionally travel plans kindof throw a little monkey wrench
in on a Thursday night, but wetry to make up for it one way or
another during the week, weanother during the week, so we
(28:41):
got just a couple more minutes.
If you've got a question, dropit in.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Well, last week we
were not there.
Where was I last week?
We?
Speaker 1 (28:47):
were here last week
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, I was here.
Teddy may not have been.
He may have just been appearingon screen.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Okay, as long as
y'all saw me, that's all I care
about.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
He was busy eating
his Dunkin' Donuts.
I saw him eat a whole box ofthose too.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Let's see.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
What did you think of
the?
Oh wow, I just read this entirething for the first time.
This is the way to end the show.
What did you think of thedynamic dudes back in WCW
featuring Shane Douglas andJohnny Ace?
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Been okay if they
hadn't had Laura Knight is in
there.
Shane Douglas, what a great guy.
Great guy, hell of a worker inthe ring and everything.
So he was just caught in a badposition too.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
I would imagine it
probably drove him crazy working
with Johnny Ace.
I just can't imagine that thatwould have been an easy blend
between the two.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
Yeah, it's hard even
looking at him.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
All right and see.
Finally, 40 Amps Club.
I wanted to take Gemma Jules toa sushi restaurant in Atlanta
Nobu, I guess, Maybe that's thename of the restaurant.
She said no and put me througha table.
Oh okay, this must have beenduring a wrestling angle that he
got picked up and put throughthe table, and that's part of
Nick Patrick's group there.

in the mail, teddy.
I've enjoyed it, my friend.
It's always fun to do thisbecause we get just cut up for
about 30 minutes and, uh, it'snot like work to me, which is
why I love it.
I can just turn on themicrophone and the camera and we
just talk, it is work.
It is work because everybodycan't do this that's well, yeah,
