Bracha Goetz’s journey is both inspiring and deeply relatable. Despite her academic success—studying psychology at Harvard and beginning medical school—Bracha struggled with an inner emptiness, manifesting as food addictions and eating disorders. Her search for answers led her to Israel, where a spiritual awakening transformed her understanding of fulfillment.
In Israel, she discovered that spirituality and heritage can be powerful sources of healing. Immersing herself in her Jewish roots and spiritual practices provided Bracha with the tools to address her struggles.
Then she discovered the power of gratitude and found the pleasure ladder.
Bracha's realization that gratitude could fill the emptiness within became the cornerstone of her healing and creative work.
The author of 45 children’s books and a candid memoir for adults about her journey to joy, Nourish the Soul: Filling the Emptiness Within. Her newest picture books include, Let's Stay Healthy, Don't Read This Book, The Happiness Box, Oh, What God Can Do, and The Mother Who Always Said Yes.
