I’m thrilled to share with you the latest episode of "Roaming with Restless Women," where I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with the amazing Karen Elizabeth Bucknell.

Karen is an English actress, stand-up comedian, performance poet, and a master’s student at Cambridge University. Her story is one of resilience, creativity, and humor in the face of life’s toughest challenges.

In 2019, Karen was diagnosed with stage three bowel cancer. Her journey through surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy is a testament to her strength and determination.

Karen candidly shares her experiences living with a colostomy bag, which she affectionately calls her “bag for life.” Karen’s playful wish for a Barbie doll with a colostomy bag highlights her unique blend of humor and advocacy. She highlights the importance of awareness and support for those in similar situations.

Despite the challenges, Karen recently celebrated five years in remission and is now considered cured. Her message is clear: no matter how tough things get, there’s always hope for a better tomorrow.
