Julian (Jools) Baker
Describing his life as ridiculous, Julian Baker’s world since he was ten would be hard to believe in a fiction novel.
From being a chef in London, cooking for celebrities and members of the Royal family, to taking a van full of strippers on a jelly wresting tour of the Australian outback, to dissecting human bodies in the desert of North America and much more in between, Julian has lived life at full tilt and given most things a shot.
Yet through all this, as well as being married, having children and scooting around the world, Julian held on to shame and guilt about his sexuality and sense of self that shadowed him since being a young man, living in fear of, “being found out.”
Finally, in his late 50s, he finally shed what he called his veil of fear and stepped away from anxiety, but still carrying his passion for life.
Honesty, openness and passionate communication are his characteristic traits and getting him to shut up is the challenge that any interviewer faces! Julian lives to help, inform, entertain, heal and educate, but most importantly to have a good time, whatever he does and wherever he is.
