Hello, are you tired?
You will be.
I'm bringing to you, for yourpleasure, a fable of Aesop.
This particular fable isentitled the Fox and the Stork.

(00:34):
Yes, yes, another fox fable,let's begin.
At one time the fox and thestork were on visiting terms and
seemed to be very good friends.
So the fox invited the stork todinner and, for a joke, put

nothing before her but some soupin a very shallow dish.
This fox, this the fox, couldeasily lap up, but the stork
could only wet the end of herlong bill in it and left the

(01:27):
meal as hungry as when she began.
I'm sorry, said the fox, thesoup is not to your liking.
Pray, do not apologize, saidthe stork.

I hope you will return thisvisit and come and dine with me
soon.
So a day was appointed when thefox should visit the stork, but
when they were seated at table,all that was for their dinner
was contained in a verylong-necked jar with a narrow

mouth in which the fox could notinsert his snout, snout.
So all he could do, all hecould manage to do, was to lick
the outside of the jar.
I will not apologize for thedinner, said the stork.
