In this final installment of Aesop's fables, we present "The Wolf and the Lamb," a timeless tale about power, false accusations, and the arbitrary nature of tyranny. The story culminates with the profound dying words of the lamb: "Any excuse will serve a tyrant."

• A wolf spots a lamb drinking from a spring downstream and decides to make it his supper
• The wolf falsely accuses the lamb of muddying his drinking water
• When the lamb points out this is impossible since water flows downstream, the wolf claims the lamb insulted him a year ago
• The lamb explains this couldn't be true as it's only six months old
• Undeterred, the wolf declares "If it was not you, it was your father" before attacking
• Before dying, the lamb delivers the moral: "Any excuse will serve a tyrant"

Hello, are you tired?
You will be, because this isthe 14th fable of Aesop and the
last for a long time.
I can't take anymore.

(00:23):
Just ignore that sound you justheard.
It didn't happen.
Forget and enjoy the wolf.

(00:47):
Wolf and the lamb.
Once upon a time, a wolf waslapping at a spring on a
hillside side.

(01:10):
When looking up, what should hesee?
But a lamb just beginning todrink a little lower down,
there's my supper, thought he.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
If only I can find some excuse to seize it.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Then he called out to the lamb how dare you muddle
the water from which I amdrinking?
Nay, master nay said lamb lamb,bican, lamb bican, lambicon,

(01:48):
lambicon.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
If the water be muddied up there, I cannot be
the cause of it, for it runsdown from you to me.
Well then, said the wolf whydid you call me bad names this

(02:15):
time last year?
That cannot be said the lamb.
I am only six months old, Idon't care, snarled the wolf.
If it was not you, it was yourfather.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
And with that he rushed upon the poor lamb and
ate her all up, but before shedied she gasped out.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Any excuse will serve a tyrant this has been Ron

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Of course you know that.
