Who is the Son of Man? The Son of Man is the term Jesus used to describe himself time and again throughout his time on earth. Why did he call himself this? As always, the answer is in the scriptural roots throughout the Bible.
What does the Son of Man expect from us?
- Love God and love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:30-31). Are we loving, merciful, and forgiving of others? (Hosea 6:4-6, Matthew 5-7, Matthew 12:1-8, Mark 2:28)
- Be a public witness for Jesus. “whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38)
- Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:17-19)
