More than anything else the Lamb wants people to love God and love each other. Some refuse to do so by:
- Rejecting God or having a hard heart towards him
- Committing idolatry by putting things in the place of God
- Persecuting followers of the Lamb
- Powerful people oppressing weaker people
- Those who are blessed who don't help the poor
- Religious leaders who help themselves but lead people astray
- Putting barriers between God and people
Because of these things, the Lamb opened the 7th seal of the scroll to initiate events that bring about God’s judgement on those who refuse to love God and love people.
