(00:50):
all the things going on in thesocial media world.

The end game is for you toreally understand your business,
understand yourself and yourbrand and to rock it on social

When I'm with you, when we areapart, I feel it.

(01:17):
You did something you said youweren't going to do.
Confess.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
I did.
I drove last week and Ilistened to InSync with the kids
in the car and we had anabsolute blast and I've honestly
been listening to them likeevery day since.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
That wasn't even what I was talking about, but I'm so
.
So what I'm hearing you say isyou're now a believer again.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I'm still on the edge if I would go to the reunion.
I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Okay, let me remind you.
You believe in taking your kidseverywhere.
What I'm hearing is your kidswould love to go to the concert.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
What I am feeling is that would be horrible.
If I'm going, I'm going with mygirlfriends, with cocktails,
not kids.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
You know that's true, you know Tennessee girl, I saw.
I have actually seen InSync inconcerts, full InSync, three
times and one of the times wasin Knoxville, tennessee.
So just so you know, I've seenthem.
Yes, I traveled to see them, man, yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
So if the reunion's in Nashville, you're coming.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Maybe.
I mean, I'm going to see them afew times.
I've already told Scott, like, you understand, like, once it
happened, it's happening.
I am not going to see them justonce.
I need to go to several youSwifties, you baby queens or
baby beehives.
You got your like this is mine, this is mine.
Um, which, by the way, beforewe go any further, there was
something else that you canconfess.

(02:40):
Before you confess that we haveto, like, just call out and
give props to Taylor Swift, beyonce and Barbie.
I think Taylor was Barbie 4.7billion I think that's right for
her concert.
Um, beyonce is at 2.7 billionfor her concert and Barbie is 1

(03:03):
billion tours, I should say forthem and bought.
Barbie is 1 billion.
Like that, what women have doneover the last year to drive the
GDP and the economy.
You're welcome.
Now, you're part of it.
Might not be a billion, but youstill did some part of it.
So you're, yeah, you can sayyou're welcome to anyone who's

(03:26):
like, look at the.
We've all done, we've been partof it.
I think it's great.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
We're all here.
We're helping the economy.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
We are Be proud, we are Put yourself on the back
guys.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Girls, girls.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Uh, you had one more confession.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
You're going to make me say this on record.
I am 100% yes.
Last Friday I bought a Stanleywater bottle.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
You're a Stanley.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I wasn't going to.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Why weren't you going to?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Well, because I already have a water bottle and
so I'm like I'm not going tospend $45 on a water bottle,
like my husband will kill me andwhen it arrives he will.
But then this may segue intoour episode today.
I keep seeing it on stories andeverywhere and people are using
it and looking like they'rehaving the best time of their

(04:23):
lives and it looks so easy todrink.
And I'm like you know, I'mmoving to Nashville.
How cool would I look like witha Stanley walking downtown?
My country boots, cowboy boots, and I cave.
This is literally theconversation in my mind.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
If we, what color did you get?
We all need to know a tan, ohnice.
So you know, I have the kind ofRose Goldie one.
My stepdaughter got it for meand I love it because I'm like,
oh, the standings are so cute, everyone has them at the gym, I
want one.
I don't even think I noticedthem on social media as much
until after, believe it or not,but it's subliminal, right.
And I didn't get mine till June, which was late on the train.

(05:07):
Now here you are in September, late on the train.
But here's the thing.
Okay, you will love it.
Now that I know you have aStanley, there's some Stanley
accessories because you canaccess, rise your standing.
Mine has a fanny pack and thenother really good things about
Stanley.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
I saw one woman.
She got this like carrier forher so she could like wear like
a cross body.
I was like I need that.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
I want that because sometimes I need all those
things.
But you know what?
This is going places Everyone, don't you worry.
There is a.
I saw it yesterday on the gramand I showed it to Scott and I
was like this little ridiculousbut maybe, and he just looked at
me like really, but he thinksthe Stanley thing is just funny.

(05:52):
There is a Stanley.
Oh, for the love of Peter, pauland Mary, please tell me.
I saved it there's.
I cannot find it.
There is a Stanley containerthat sits on your.
Oh, I know I sent it to mydaughter.
I know what it is because Icannot describe it as well as it
needs to be described for youall to just really bask in the

(06:13):
beauty of it.
Okay, you ready, here it is.
Oh, that's cool.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
So you can help you guys.
She's showing me it goes overthe top and you can have snacks.
It holds your snacks.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
It's like a snack tray and you put on there and
then you can sit and drink aStanley and eat your olives and
your popcorn, and I put gummybears in there.
Come on now.
Come on now, no other waterbottle has that?
No, I saw last night I kind oflaughed at the water bottle.
Has that?

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Oh gosh.
Okay, that's my list.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Stanley.
If you look back at the historyof Stanley or the history of,
honestly, right now, the history, you can look back on the
summer.
You call it the summer ofStanley, the summer of Swifties,
the summer of the Beehive, thesummer of Barbie, and when you
look at all those thingswhenever there was a concert or
when the movie came out, or whenthere's a new thing with

(07:12):
Stanley, it's all over ourstories, it's everywhere.
And if y'all don't think thatInstagram is helping drive this,
now I get it that people boughttheir Swiftie tickets and their
Beehive tickets a while ago.
However, it's the FOMO and thewhat do we wear to the concert?
All those things are happening.

(07:33):
People are popping up in theirstories.
I'll go one further.
You know that in October, youcan go and see the Taylor Swift
Errors tour in the movie theater.
I'm going, I'm going to.
Scott is now all about.
I'm like you're a little late,darrell, and he's like I like
who's somewhere.
I'm like get on board.
But here's the thing all ofthat is popular because of

(07:53):
Instagram.
So that concert movie is goingto not only attract people who
went to go see her in concert, but other people who didn't even
like.
Maybe they were okay with thehype.
They didn't like they didn't goto the concert, but they had to
watch the concert happen acrossAmerica For the last few months
.
There's stories, so y'all.

(08:16):
And then Stanley's stories,stanley, stanley, stanley, I
need a Stanley, I need a Stanley.
This is why we bring this up,because you have like, where are
we going?
But this is.
These are just great examplesof what stories can do.
But here's what I'm noticingand we're noticing is that y'all
sleeping on your stories, raiseyour hand if you're sleeping,
sleeping on the stories, Ishould be pretty sleepy.

(08:41):
Yeah, people are sleeping ontheir stories and y'all I know
they they didn't.
They weren't as sexy as reelswhen reels came out a couple
years ago.
And you're probably and andhonestly, instagram started
started taking away the weightof stories and the algorithm,
but they brought it back overthe last year and if you were
not working your stories it needto start.

(09:02):
I can say about my wedding, like the stories, I went to town
and I thought maybe I'm doingtoo much.
Do you know that my overallreach went up dramatically
because and then, granted, itwas a wedding I get, it was like
good content, but also like itjust sort of matte, consistently
and dramatically.
And I didn't even realize thatI posted as much as I had until

(09:23):
I made highlights.
And you know, highlights canonly put 99 and I had to make
three highlights worth.
I'm like, oh so I did 300stories.
Don't know how that happened, but it works.
So I I encourage y'all do that.
So let's give you some liketips and tricks of the trade on
what to put in your stories.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Yeah, I love this because spoiler alert, spoiler
alert alert you can sell in yourstories.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yes, you can.
You, yes, you can.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
It's just not all the time.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Yes, I love that.
Yes, 100%, and it's a lot ofwhat we do like right now with
Rocks Talks, right, you'll seethat Rocks Talks will have
stories that are about givingyou information or giving you
hey, you can buy this, this isout there, and then it's just
it's my life, it's a mixture,the same thing.
So we know that tearing up myheart is moving to Nashville,

(10:20):
right, we all know that.
We told us last week.
We know that I think.
So why, where am I going withthat?
You're like, okay, and what'syour point, roxanne?
My point is that when you thinkabout what to put in your
stories, it's easy for you to golike, oh, I want to sell this
product first.
But let's start with what'sgoing on in your life and,
believe it or not, we all havesomething going on in our life

(10:42):
right now that people will beinterested in, the one they want
to incorporate in.
So we're just going to go oversome content.
I'm using using examples hereand because you were moving, so
Taryn should be showing herentire moving process.
Whatever she feels comfortablewith, it's great for her stories
.
The we're moving oh my gosh,we're moving.
In two weeks.
We're not only removing, we'removing, like yesterday.

(11:04):
Okay, she could show.
She could take a video on herphone and time lapse it of like
maybe her office, for examplethis is her office is already
empty, you all can see, butlet's pretend she did this.
She put up a, set up her phoneand then actually show the
packing process, time lapse it,and then that would be great
content.
She can pop in her stories andyes, you know this is a real as

(11:26):
well too.
She can ask for suggestionsleaning into the things that
Instagram has in there.
Right, we know that there'spolls, there's quizzes, there's
questions.
She can ask for suggestions forgreat moving company, for good
moving, like packaging boxes, because, believe it or not, it's
a lot, unless you've moved.

(11:46):
In last year, things havechanged.
So like she can ask forstraight up advice on that,
advice on best places to giveaway things or should I give it
away, or should I use offer up,or should I use postmark?
If she's selling stuff, what'sthe fastest way to sell stuff?
That's another great thing shecan do.
So not only she didn't have towait to like the moving now we

(12:06):
move but like just the packing, and all that because people are
interested in that.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
And I have.
I posted some of this alreadyand let me tell you the result
is I'm having conversations.
I'm having conversations.
My clients are popping in myDMs oh my gosh, how cool and
then my family like there's amix of conversations going on,
people that I don't really know.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
You just hit the nail on the head conversation.
But conversations are starting.
We all remember theconversations is where the
things, things transpire and thesales happen.
So we know you might notremember, but about a year and
some change ago, ish, youstarted your podcasting company.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Yes, yeah, it's like I think my anniversary is like
about now.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Happy anniversary.
Okay, thanks.
So I know that in that lastyear there's some people who
were like, oh my gosh, I know Iwant to start a podcast but I'm
not ready yet, but I want to andI want to use Teran.
Or maybe they even met withTeran and said, yep, okay, I'm
not ready for her, but I need tobe in the future by watching
her stories where she's talkingabout moving.

(13:14):
She hasn't even talked abouther podcasting company Agent we
call it agency, we don't likethat word boutique, her
podcasting boutique.
And and immediately from thatthey're like oh my gosh, that's
right, I'm ready now to mypodcast, even what she's not
even mentioning what she, herservice, but because they're

(13:37):
seeing her in their stories itreminds them of, of her
expertise.
I promise you, I guarantee it.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yes, and now I'm even going to take from a realm of
like okay, here's what I woulddo if I was selling a product.
So if I was selling leggings,I'd be wearing these leggings
while I'm packing, moving aroundand talking about like, oh my
gosh, like the features I couldbend over and it didn't like
crumple over my belly 100%.

(14:04):
Or I could take from the actionof, like high date hydrate and
detox from Hue and Grace, likeI'm drinking this, like as I'm
packing and you know I'mbreathing in a little bit more
because we just redid ourbasement, so construction dust
and I'm drinking this hydratedetox to help me flush out the
toxins as I'm going through thisprocess.

(14:24):
And it's very natural to add inhow I'm using these products
that I sell.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Brilliant.
If she had cleaning products.
She'd show like I'm cleaningthe final cleaning this way, or
I'm making sure I'm.
Yeah, all of that.
Or maybe she's doing laundry.
I guess you don't really dolaundry before, you do it after.
But if she was and you selllaundry detergent, she's going
to demonstrate using the laundrydetergent for it, so we can see
your product in the wild.
Really is what it is.

(14:51):
Detail happening.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
And I'm even trying to think of one that's maybe not
directly related.
So, like skincare product, Ican still then create content
where I'm washing my face at theend of the night and it's like
here I'm just showing allaspects of my day and it's not
even really directly relatedwith moving, but I remember to
wash my face after a busy day.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Right and celebrating that like I'm exhausted but I'm
going to remember to wash myface.
I think also, like, if you haveskincare, maybe even talking
about, okay, I know I'm going tobe traveling, let's pretend
she's driving there, right, she's like I am bringing or
flying minimal things I canbring.
These are the two products Icannot live without as I'm

(15:33):
traveling.
I know I need these two.
For this reason, like that's agreat way to bring it in, I'm
not leaving home without mysunscreen or my hydrating serum
or whatever it might be.
I know I need those regardless.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
My clarifying mist.
I'm obsessed with my clarifyingmist right now.
What company it's actually not.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yeah, no, but what is it?
Yeah, because you can't talkabout okay, oh.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah, I mean I guess I can.
It's primarily pure, pure.
Is that another one?
You call on the gram?
Jenna Kutcher was talking aboutit and she used to have like so
I have a lot of freckles andlike kind of like sun damage,
and so so does she.
So I was like I want to knowwhat her beauty care routine is,

(16:16):
and she shared it on her blogand I bought it this way.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
See, you can only know that Taryn loves her some
beauty products, so she it'llswitch in a few months.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
No, I think I found the one.
This is the one.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
You're going to like close it off.
As they say on the violin, you're going to be closed.
I'm impressed.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
I might need a little bit more anti-aging as I age.
I don't know, don't you guys, don't you dare dump in my DMs?
I don't need anything, I'm good.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Another thing you want to do in your stories is
have fun.
You might notice you'rewatching we have little airtight
in our hair.
Oh, my goodness, like we'rekind of like an homage to Minnie
, oh, lucy, probably more like aLucy, I love Lucy.
You know who I love Lucy.
I was thinking that like ohyeah, rosie, the Riveter Rosie

(17:11):
the Riveter, yes her.
I like it.
Yeah, totally.
I do that the same time likemaybe do this again.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
No, I'm not sure.
I have no guns compared to yourguns.
I have a huge bruise because Ifell off the horse taxi, but
when?

Speaker 1 (17:24):
you took last week when you left us.
You're like I'm going to getthe horse taxi.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Yes, I left you guys and I fell out of it.
They're steep, they're reallyhigh up off the ground.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Better you than the kids.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Well, I kind of that's why I did fall, because,
like, davey was behind me and Iwas like trying to stop him and
then Genard was going forward,so I was like the middleman, so
I ate it, yikes.
In front of a lot of people Itend to do that.
I tend to fall in public quitea bit.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
It's better, because then someone will pick you up
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
I'm always here for helping you.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Always here.
That would be good Instagramcontent.
Good story you falling.
Good story.
Good, big, but have fun.
So, like, you can use differentfilters, different things.
What's interesting is not onlyis it so that you're not so dang
serious unless you are dangserious and keep the serious,
but if you're not but then alsoit catches people's eyes.

(18:18):
Why is she wearing that in herhead, like why, what's going on
there?
What's that animation?
So you can catch people's eyesby just using some of the
filters or adding differentgifts to or gifs, however you
like to say that to yourInstagram story.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yes, those are fun.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Another thing that I love putting on there is showing
aspects of yourself.
Without you.
It doesn't have to be you.
I love social media.
I also love that's aninteresting word to say I love
it.
I love the beauty of socialmedia.
I don't love the underbelly,but you know.
Just like I'll eat chicken butI don't like to see skin on the
chicken when I was a little bit, that's gross, but what I was

(19:00):
really going is I love realityTV.
I do, I'm a product of it.
I was on it.
I love some reality TV.
I will post a good example.
I posted I watched the love isblind after the alter, which is
always bad and I know it's bad,but I like the scenes.
I watched them and it wasboring.
Bunch of conversations Now inmy DMs, people saying oh my gosh

(19:23):
, I didn't know it was on.
I'm going to like I didn't knowit was on, I'm running to
Netflix right now to watch it,or oh, it's on right now.
Or this is what I thought aboutit.
Just because I posted that Iwatched and I gave my opinion
about it and I didn't talk, Ijust typed I was on there.
I think I was on a plane when Iwas doing it, so it's.
You can share your insight oryour input or your opinions

(19:43):
about things that have nothingto do.
I don't sell reality TV, justso y'all know I think you do
that, but it what it does is itdoes a couple things, start the
conversation going Someone whoI've done that about love Island
as well to you I'm like don'tjudge me, I love me some love
Island and it startsconversations.
But then also what happens issome might think, oh my gosh,
she and I both watch love Island, or love is blind.

(20:06):
I'm totally like connected toher, or she's quackadoo, she
loves that show.
But whatever, I remember herbecause she's like the one she
works both ways.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Building connections and building thinking this of
this from a business perspective, it's your long game marketing.
Yeah, these, that kind of postisn't probably going to result
in a sale tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
No.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
But the next time you maybe launch a sale or talk
about something, that person hasthat connection with you.
They're going to listen to whatyou're saying or posting and
then they buy.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yes, and don't get it twisted either.
The algorithm knows when I'mposting something or sharing
something from love is blindsaccount and Instagram knows,
which means it's probablyshowing it to people Not
probably, but showing it topeople who wouldn't typically
see my story because I'm sharinga love is blind post or a.
So remember as well somethingthat's trending, exactly, which

(21:06):
actually leads to the next pointis don't hesitate to share if
you're like.
Going through your newsfeed andyou see something that you like
.
It might be a quote that youloved.
It could be an appointment made.
It could be a funny reel.
I posted one about thechallenges I don't know if you
saw it, but it was challengegoing on around, where there's a
woman standing there and thisman has his hand on her head

(21:29):
Right Ain't no way know how, andsorry y'all and then so his
hand, they're holding hands justat her head, basically, and she
he takes her down to the floorhead first, like that's the and
gently, it doesn't drop her.
It's like a trust fall, butforward with one hand.

(21:51):
And your guy, I would.
I love me some Scott.
I love that man.
I would not.
We're not doing that.
And I saw like the challenge isgoing around and there was a
real word.
The guy dropped her, got to theend of them, boom, there was a
pillow.
But so does it matter?
Um, so I shared that real Don'thesitate when you see a funny

(22:12):
reel or a funny whatever itmight be.
You're probably sharing withpeople in your DMs and you're
sharing stories as well, too,and put your opinion about it on
it.
All that shows personality andit shows you being a good
steward of the Instagramcommunity and it makes a
difference, for Instagram willshow more people your things,
but also it shows yourpersonality to other people.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
And it's an easy way to post content on a day that
you don't really feel likeposting content.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Right, also true.
There you go.
So then let's talk about whatit comes to.
What are you postingbusiness-wise, right?
I always love reinforcing.
I actually didn't.
We had a newer social teamsclient.
She was like wait a moment.
She's like I'm seeing she wasconfused about why the content
Was in some regards similar andI'm like that is part of the

(23:02):
plan.
Like, if you post a carousel ora post and if you're in social
time club, you know, you knowthis as well as ready as well
too, it's important for peopleto see that content more than
once.
So you're going to see acarousel re Refigured to be a
story as well, too, because youwant to.
Not only are some people justseeing your stories, but some

(23:23):
people are just seeing yourposts, but also, in addition to
that, people who see both.
It reinforces that point, thateducation that you're giving
them.
So definitely lean into that.
If you wrote repurpose yourcontent that you've put on your,
on your feed and use it now, Ithink there's two ways to do
that.
You could share it.
I get that.
You can share a piece, but ifyou, I think it's better to

(23:47):
recreate it and resize it.
You know and have I thinkthere's it.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Sometimes I even recommend like both.
So if you put the post on yourfeed on this week you can share
the post to your stories andthen next week share it as a
story.
Yeah, you know, oh, you know.
All of the above like that isokay.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
It is and it's good, because if you made if you took
the time to make it a post likea carousel, that's a point.
Maybe it's like the benefits ofUsing sunscreen and you want to
get that point across becausethat point's gonna help you
selling your, your product,that's sunscreen.
That's something worthImagining and making sure that

(24:31):
you read, you reiterate itthrough your stories.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Yeah, and honestly, here's a fourth way.
Take that carousel and then godo a face to camera Story about
it as well.
Mm-hmm, same topic, samecontent.
Use it again and again.
You're you're not gonna do allof these things in one day.
Spread it out and then, boomyou one piece of content.

(24:56):
Just got you four differentways of posting it.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Hallelujah, love that , um, and then I get the last
thing.
Well, the last type of contentI would say to add in there is
your sales, your product.
If you want to sell it Like, and you can do that in different
ways.
It can be like listen, I, ifyou're a new skin, you might be
like I'm doing a bulk order ontoothpaste.
Get in on it.
Who wants it?

(25:19):
Dm me or or comment or or tapon the yes, the yes no for like,
a Like, a poll.
It can be oh my gosh, we havethis new product.
Hear the deeds about this newproduct, because you may not
really know right now If thatnew product is going to be the
one about.
You want to be sitting on.
But you can put informationabout that in your story also.
Like a great example, labor daywas yesterday, um, as we're

(25:42):
recording this, so you mighthave like a labor day sale.
A lot of the companies aredoing 15% off, 20% off site wide
Revenue sitting there trying tomake a post to get that out.
Put it in your stories, talkabout it in your stories, let
people know and have a link.
You can use the link feature inyour stories to go directly to
where you, they need to shop.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
So the point of putting it in your story is you
guys is it's there for 24 hoursand then it's gone, unless you
put it in a highlight.
But if it's on your feed, it'sthere forever and the sales
going to end.
So put it in your stories whereit's going to be there for when
, the time that it's relevant,and then it's gone.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Yes, and also remember if you put that on your
.
If you do put on your feed postand I'm looking and I realize I
missed a sale, I may not buy.
Am I just waiting for you tohave another sale?
So just remember if you'replaying.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
I am guilty of that.
I've seen that and I'm like, oh, I missed their 20% off.
Now I know they do 20% off.
I'm going to wait ding, dingding.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
So remember that, as you're, you're maneuvering it.
Um, there is Buzz going aroundin the world that you should be
posting on your instagram feedfive to six times a day.
I don't have my funny noiseswith me, I'm not going to tell
you who here, but you know whoyou know in your heart of hearts

(26:59):
.
You know, I do know no.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
I know, you know I snow.
No, no, don't do that toyourself.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Don't do that.
It doesn't help you.
I sat down with someone who'dbeen doing that and she was like
well, I'm so, I'm so told me todo it.
And I was like, okay, let'slook at your metrics.
I mean, because at some point Iam not going to fight with
Someone y'all beside is a guruwho told you this nonsense like
let's just look at your metricand see if it's working for you.

(27:29):
Specifically, your metrics sayit's not working, as you can see
.
So none of your posts, andhere's why it probably is not
working for you all.
That's a way instagram works.
You want to do that, put it inyour stories.
You want to post five, sixtimes a day, do it in your story
, but when you do it on yourpost, here's what happened.
Nothing you post has time tomature and be sent around to all

(27:53):
the people that it could besent around to, because you
constantly are posting Five tosix times adios, yes, what come?
Anyhow, calm down.
All I am saying is if you, ifyou have been told that and
you've been doing that which isexhausting, by the way, that's
exhausting.
That's a lot of content.
You were just turning andburning for no reason and you're
wasting your time.
Look and see if it's actuallytruly helping you.

(28:15):
Look at your metrics and ifit's not, give me some of that
energy you have over toeverything else, like in
producing activity, likereaching out to people, and she
needs some of that over thestories, and stop spending time
doing all Like.
If you want to be spending timedoing that, then maybe you need
to go to tick tock and do youknow it's still four or five.
I won't get over this.
Four or five reels or, sorry, tick tock.

(28:37):
You need to post four or fivetimes a day to make it matter.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
If I have heard, that and that's why, like instagram,
that's very old.
That's a very old strategy Topost that much on your feed.
So I didn't I don't even thinkit is a strategy debate that it
used to be like.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
You used to get pretty decent reach, like years
ago, guys not posting like thatwas like three stories, yeah,
maybe two times a day, three, but four to five.
I don't know, that just seemsinsane.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
I don't even time.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
That's like a full-time job, it is and then
you want to wake hand if youknow stun, nothing else is
working.
Well, that's why have fun withyour stories is the moral of the
story.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
About a bang, about a boom not even have fun.
Show your face, be yourself, sell, do it, you've got it.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Oh, one more important thing if you're going
to put a poll of A question, aquiz on your stories, come back
before 24 hours and check thatout and respond to people.
For the love of yes, okay andpaula mayer, yes, make sure you
go within 24 hours and use thatto your benefit and engage with

(29:56):
people, otherwise you don't knowwho voted what.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
And you can reshare, like the answers.
People usually want to know theresults.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
They love that 100%, terbara, turn up my heart.
What's going on with you behindthe scenes, so behind the
scenes for me.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Since you guys all know I'm moving, I can tell you.
What I actually did thisweekend is I got the whole
basement cleaned, unpacked andorganized so I have like a
little pile for our keep.
And then I have a huge donatepile and I've been having people
come through this weekendlooking at our stuff and I'm
like, just take it.

(30:31):
You don't want to sell this.
You should sell this onFacebook Marketplace.
I'm like that is too much work,I do not have time for that.
Take it, like, if you want totake it.
So we've gotten rid of a bigchunk of things so far.
Nice, yeah, I'm impressed.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
I would go ahead.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
I'll say today is the big.
I'm going to tackle toys.
After this I have a little bitmore work to do and then I was
going to do toys and I might beunder for a few days.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
So with toys, do the kids get a say in the toys that
get to come with them?

Speaker 2 (31:07):
I attempted that this weekend with Davey.
Like his stuffed animals.
I kind of pulled out like a bigpile.
I'm like, ok, I need you to gothrough these and tell me which
ones you feel ready to get ridof.
He gave me one One.
I'm like, ok, I'm going to haveto do this when you're not
looking Because I am notbringing four totes of stuffed

(31:31):
animals.
He loves stuffed animals rightnow, like that's what he's
obsessed with them.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Can I just say, as an advocate for Davey, since he's
not here right now, that kids,as they grow up, remember that
thing that mom took from themand threw away.
I remember my pillow.
That.
I always had in my pillow.
And one day I'm up and thepillow was raggedy Right.
I mean I slept on it I don'teven know if I slept on it and

(31:59):
it just disappeared.
I'm just saying it's traumaticfor kids when parents decide
that they're done with the thingthey don't want to be done with
.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
I know, but at what point?

Speaker 1 (32:09):
do you draw the?

Speaker 2 (32:10):
like this kid has a lot of stuff and it is our fault
.
We have turned him into quitethe consumer.
He loves shopping, he has a lotof stuff.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
In my non-mother expertise.
This is what I would say In my40s.
In my years of non-motherexpertise, I would say,
henceforth, do the hey.
When you get something, youhave to give something away.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Yeah, that's a good idea Like OK, your new Amazon
came up.
What are we going to donatetoday?

Speaker 1 (32:44):
I could do that, yeah , and then I mean, I guess you
take us.
You can just be like the toysstayed with.
Those were muskegon toys andyou're in Tennessee.
I don't know what you're goingto do about that.
Your other option might be toyou guys aren't putting things
in storage, right?
Yeah, I don't know what you'regoing to do.
It's going to be traumatic, butI guess every kid needs the

(33:05):
story of their mom throwing awaysomething they love, so maybe
this is the one story.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
I mean I was talking to him because we did the
basement and there was a lot oflike toys we haven't seen in six
months anyways, and they camedown and they were playing with
it and I'm like this is the lasttime we're going to play with
these toys.
We're going to donate these toother kids who need new toys and
they were able to kind ofprocess that.
Davey was sad but and some ofthem are going to our friends.

(33:31):
So I'm like you're going to seethe slide when we go to Gabby's
house and they were cool withthat, but the stuffed animals
might be harder.
So we'll see.
I'll keep you guys updated nextweek, Good luck.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
My kids in therapy.
They're thinking of stuffedanimals.
I know, right, Interchild workcoming up for you, so you know
stuffed animals.
There's a big pink stuffedanimal behind me.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
He's staring right at me.
Go that way.
There you go.
How tall is he?
You think he's four feet.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
He's four feet.
He's definitely four feet.
I'm at my sister-in-law's house.
We are in the Boston area, asuburb of spending time within
us, so that is what we're doing, and so I have a stuffed animal
here.
But it's fun being at leastcloser.
I'm like what I didn't have to.
This is so late.

(34:25):
We pod at 11.
What.
This is crazy.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Pam, it is late.
Did a surprise go well for theparents?

Speaker 1 (34:35):
It went so well.
So there was a Labor Dayweekend party with great-grand,
all the generations and we gotthere and when Scott's parents
walked in, his dad looked at usand he was like come on, wait,
you're not supposed to be here.
He was one of those like he wasjust shocked.
He had a shocked look and thenhe was like so excited.

(34:56):
So we've been spending timewith them, which is great, and
we'll see them again.
And we're going to Jack'sschool.
He goes to school in NewHampshire, so we're driving up
there this evening and whatnot.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
So yeah, doing all our things.
Rox, I didn't see any Labor Dayweekend fits on social media,
speaking of stories.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
That's interesting, I look adorable.
So just so you know.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Maybe a little recap on the ground.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Yeah, you're right.
You're right, I did wear, because I can still wear white.
So I did wear my pickleballoutfit that never made it to
pickleball at the wedding.
I wore that on the day, whichis good, because it's teeny.
I have this cute like 1Z greennumber that I wore yesterday.
I'll see what I can do.
I'll bring this amount.
I'll get better.
There's some pictures, but Idon't want their full body

(35:47):
pictures.
I'll work on that.
Ok, it's your homework.
And yes, and Baylor flew withus and cheated so well, so I
just want to say and she had tosit like right with you.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Is that a new rule?

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yes, Without saying too much.
So they got rid of the abilitybecause people were bringing
like reptiles and snakes and allthese things.
So they cracked down.
So you have to like do some, you go through some other steps,
yeah yeah.
So that's all I'm going to say,but if you want more

(36:21):
information about it, you canmessage me.
I can give you more details.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
I might need the details because we're going to
be flying more and I'm like Ithink Denard's too big.
He's like 35 pounds, so I don'tknow, because I saw when I was
booking the flights that gave mean option for an in-cab and pet
and I was like oh, this is anoption, and.
But then I was like I'm goingto leave him here for a little
bit and then I'll come back andget him.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
I'll give you the details.
I got you OK, I got you Allright.
