A rivalry podcast is only fun if the punches land and the hugs do too. We kick off with Ducks and Kings headlines—injuries, waivers, and the Lacombe deal in Anaheim; staffing shifts, IR moves, and Kempe’s price tag in LA—then zoom out to a league buzzing with suspensions, fines, and mega-extensions. Connor McDavid’s short bridge, Jack Eichel’s long bet, and cap gymnastics around LTIR set the tone for a season where windows and wagers matter. We also talk aesthetics, because they always do: third jerseys, chrome-adjacent helmets, and why design can change how a game feels on TV and in the building.

On the ice, the Kings stumble against Colorado before dragging Vegas into chaos and winning a shootout that showcases Eichel’s star power and Dorofeyev’s finishing. The Ducks, meanwhile, outplay Seattle early but get clogged by 26 blocked shots and lose the special teams edge they needed. We break down the details—shot quality, faceoffs, penalty kill form—and make clear-eyed predictions for the week ahead, from home opener vibes to schedule traps.

Then the room goes quiet for the moment that matters most. Trent Sullivan, the Anaheim Ducks’ 21st Duck, shares a life lived at full tilt: a heart transplant at five months old, a kidney transplant in his teens, a pacemaker after COVID-era monitoring, and a terrifying colostomy followed by a hard-won reversal. Through it all, he finds joy in small rituals—The Office quotes, Legos, chocolate milk—and big communities, from concourse meetups to the night Teemu Selanne surprised him with a jersey. His goal is as bold as any Cup run: to set a longevity record with his first transplanted heart and keep showing up for the people and team he loves.

Come for the banter and breakdowns; stay for a story that reframes what belonging sounds like in a loud arena. If this episode hits you the way it hit us, tap follow, share it with a friend who needs a lift, and drop a review so more fans can find our little corner of hockey.

I got me and Timu, and thenanother Timu, Shiger, and then
you know, I got Iron Man, BobaFett.
Uh, I'm more happy with the StarWars Millennium Falcon right

(01:08):
here than the Angels thing.
And then when Papa made me ourlogo out of wood, I have it
right here on display.
I'm not done yet.
I plan on having something hereso it's not just plain white,
but no, no worries, you won'tsee the ghost of Honda Center
walking behind me anymore.
You just need someone to putsome art there.

(01:28):
That's all you need.
I I I have plans, Trent.
I have plans.
I just got the I just got wejust literally got into this
this week, and I got plans.
But we already got a comment.
Hey brother, Trent, it's Amanda.

SPEAKER_05 (01:44):
Yeah, it's somebody from my uh my camp.
So a lot of people, a lot ofpeople, a lot of people will be
tuning in from different happyabout that.

SPEAKER_01 (01:53):
Different spectrums of uh of life.
So as if you guys know, we havea very special guest here with
us today, the 2023, 2024, 21stduck, Trent Sullivan.
You know, like I said, I was atthe home opener when they when
you were the 21st duck.
It was a and that was such agreat game all around, too.

(02:15):
Yeah, from the purple carpetevent to the game, and then I
that's how I got that picturewith Timu because literally was
that game, yeah.
And I think I bought that thejersey, this jersey at that
game, too.
So and that was like my birthdaypresent to me.

SPEAKER_05 (02:36):
I know that that's like the one thing I'll say.
It's like they I love it, andthen now they're like, Oh, so I
was like, Oh, do you want I waslike, I want these?
Like, oh, sorry, you gotta buythose on yourself.
Like, oh, like, but it's okay, but it's okay because I save up
money to for for that for thatjersey.
Smart, but all right.

SPEAKER_01 (02:55):
Well, let's get right into ducks news.
All right, so starting today.
Um, so Ryan Strome has an upperbody injury and will not be
playing on the opening roadtrip.
So obviously, he wasn't in thegame against the Seattle Kraken,
which I'll we'll go over that alittle bit later.

(03:16):
Um, I they didn't disclose whatthe injury was.
All we know it's an upper bodyinjury because we know last week
we had that, you know, the funnywhole look everyone has a lower
body injury, right?
Um, and then ducks goaltenderVilly Husso passed through
waivers and has been assigned tothe goals, which I had a feeling
when he went through waivers, noone was gonna claim him.

(03:38):
Nobody wanted to get a guy thathas two years and I think making
two million, two point onemillion a year.
So I didn't think he was gonnaget claimed.
Wow.
So I which I figured theyweren't, I I figured the ducks
weren't gonna carry the threegoalies anyways.
So but I I do like Billy Housathough, and then um just a

(03:59):
little uh extra specifics onLacomb's contract.
It is a flat salary of ninemillion each year for the full
eight years, and then it's a no,it's a no-trade clause years
three through five, a 15-team notrade clause years six through
seven, and then the last year itis a 10-team no trade clause.

SPEAKER_00 (04:23):
So interesting.

SPEAKER_01 (04:24):
Yep, and then I got two uh special announcements for
let's see.
I just gotta pull up the sorry,I should have had this ready and
I didn't.

SPEAKER_00 (04:36):
Yes, you should have.
I should have.

SPEAKER_01 (04:38):
I know I should have.
Oh my goodness, shame on Cody.
Um, so I I kind of helped teamup with um Mikey from that
sports dude seven uh seven onefour.
We did we we co uh he createdthe um the Instagram and we're
gonna make it on I believe onall socials, the Mighty Ducks

(05:01):
Club.
So just for all ducks fans tokind of you know go there and
support the Anaheim Ducks andstuff like that.
I helped them with the thegiveaway posts and making it
because I I just like doingthose things.
Um, but um we're we are gonnathey they are doing a giveaway
on there.
Um, you need to tag one friendthat you would invite to the

(05:23):
game.
You have unlimited entries.
Um, you just need to where is itplease follow the road?
I'm trying to find um you needto follow both uh the mighty
ducks club, follow royallyquacked and tag people, and you
need a repost on the thing.
So and then the uh winner willbe announced, I believe, let's

(05:48):
see.
Uh the winner will be announcedafter the home opener game on
Tuesday um October 14th.
So you have until then to dothis.
So that's announcement numberone.
Announcement number two.
Let me pull up TikTok because Ican't find it on Instagram for
some reason.

(06:11):
Right and on the right.

SPEAKER_00 (06:12):
Shall we play the Jeopardy three?

SPEAKER_04 (06:14):
No, we're not gonna do that.

SPEAKER_01 (06:24):
Right.
I thought she put uh all right,so opening night.
There's gonna be a meetup at uhduring first intermission at the
Ducks game.
Um, we're gonna meet up by thefront entrance, the main
entrance, by the team store.
You don't have to be a contentcreator, just a diehard ducks

(06:45):
fan, just for everyone to kindof meet and know each other and
build the community alltogether.
That's the main thing.
Um, the uh the person that gotthis all together, what her name
is Cameron Adamando.
So go check her out on Instagramand and TikTok.
Everything's on her on her feed.

(07:06):
Um, like I said, I thought Iactually I was thinking about
doing it, but I wasn't, I waslike, should I?
And then she put it out there.
I'm like, oh, it's done.
Cool.
And I'm glad I'm glad I wasn'tthe only one that thought about
doing something like this.
And so because that's where Iactually met Trent, was in that
exact same spot during theSharks game.
Um, so I was gonna say that'susually where everyone does the

(07:28):
meetups, too.

SPEAKER_05 (07:29):
I was that's where that's where that's usually
where I'm at as well.
Yeah, even if there's no likeeven when the preseason games,
that's where I even was too.
It was so weird not to have anyof the broadcasts.

SPEAKER_01 (07:40):
It's like wait, I know when I watched it, I was
like, Oh I'm like, oh, there'sno there's no setup.
I was like, I I thought that wasweird when I saw that too.
So um I I I Trent will be there,I will be there.
So everyone come say hi, youknow.
Um I'm really looking forward tothe home opener.
You guys have no idea.

SPEAKER_05 (08:01):
Oh, I I it's it, it's it's like it's like the
summer.
Uh everyone jokes, like uh thatthat like everyone has like the
summer of depressions likesummer of depression's over,
hockey season has begun.

SPEAKER_00 (08:13):
Um we do have a comment uh from your friend
Amanda.
What day is this?
I think that was Tuesday,October 14th, right, Cody?

SPEAKER_01 (08:22):
Yeah, it's the home opener, October 14th.

SPEAKER_00 (08:25):
Yes, yeah, and not to mention that Captain Chaos
was 10 minutes late.
Did he miss anything?
Yes, you missed everything.
You missed everything, Adam.

SPEAKER_01 (08:34):
Sorry, shame.
Shame on you.
Shame.

SPEAKER_00 (08:41):
So are we ready for King's news?
We are ready for King's news, and and just something I I was
gonna mention at the start and Iforgot.
I do believe, you know, and Icould be wrong, but we're the
only rival podcast in hockeythat I know of.
Not that uh I know that uh thepuck podcast with Eddie and

(09:02):
Doug, they are rivals with theducks and the kings, just like
Cody and I are, but they talkabout hockey in general, right?
Not specifically about theirteams.
So that's what makes usdifferent, different, at least.
So let's get on to King's News.
And of course, you know, myfirst part of the King's News is

(09:24):
Pokey, uh Cody uh poking me inthe side about this.
The Los Angeles Kings have theoldest team in the NHL with an
average age of 29.9.
Well, I'm okay with that becauseI'm probably one of the oldest
podcasters out there, too.
Yeah, got him.
You gotta make an entrance,Adam.

(09:44):
Yes, you always do.
That's for sure.
Um, other Kings news.
Uh, Kings have placed defensemanKyle Burrows on the injured
reserve.
Um, do you know what the injuryis?

SPEAKER_01 (09:57):
Nothing.
It it didn't state it.
Full full body injury, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (10:03):
Or what what what he got injured by?
Maybe by the puck that went inuh for the that one goal when
they played the ducks.
Which oh the first goal of thegame, yeah, it went with him.

SPEAKER_01 (10:18):
That's true.
So so his feelings got hurt, gotit.
There, there we go.

SPEAKER_00 (10:24):
Yes, so so the LA Kings have named Tyler Wright as
a director of player personnel,Travis Colhain as assistant
video coordinator, and JonasHogland and Brendan Daly as
scouts.
They are the latest additions tothe hockey operations staff,
along with Derek Armstrong, whojoined the organization
organization as a scout duringthe 24-25 season.

(10:47):
AEG Sports Chief OperatingOfficer Kelly Cheesman has left
his position with the Kings, joining the New York Islanders
to become the president ofbusiness operations and
alternate governor.
Cheeseman has held this positionfor the uh over 13 years, has
been with the Kingsorganizations for nearly 25

(11:08):
years.
Thank you uh for being with theKings for so long, and good luck
in uh in New York.
Um, also news what Cody?
Oh, Adam are old.

SPEAKER_01 (11:24):
Time to take them out back like old yellow.

SPEAKER_00 (11:30):
Yeah, good old Captain Chaos Bring.
Frankie the Yankees on.
Oh, hey guys.
Hey, how's it going, Frankie?
Sorry about the Yankees.
Uh, at least they made theplayoffs unlike our Angels.

SPEAKER_01 (11:44):
The Angels never do to New York.
Oh, he he he's a diehard Yankeesfan and Patriots fan.

SPEAKER_00 (11:52):
Yeah, he's part of our uh the the network we're
part of the network that we'repart of.

SPEAKER_01 (11:56):
Yeah, he's trying to he's been trying to convince me
and my dad to become Yankeesfans since we've been here.

SPEAKER_00 (12:02):
Yeah, yeah, you you gotta love Frankie.
He's he is definitely one of themost passionate people about his
uh his teams.
So sorry, Cody, but no, let's goLA Kings.
I like that one.

SPEAKER_01 (12:19):
I already try, I already don't like your friend.
I know and he's also theco-founder of the network as
well.
Oh yeah, and then Adam Yankeessuck go daughters.

SPEAKER_00 (12:34):
So thank you for uh usually it's me interrupting the
ducks news, but uh getting a lotof interruption with the news.
Um, obviously, with some of thesignings that's going on, Adrian
Kempe's camp is reportedlypushing for close to 12 million
than the original 10 million perCam Robinson.

(12:55):
Now, here's the interestingthing about that.
I'd pay him the 12.
Absolutely.
If he we pay him eight times 12,I mean, in two or three years,
that's gonna be a bargain.

SPEAKER_01 (13:10):
Yeah, I mean makes you wish they would have signed
that eight by ten a lot quickernow, don't you?

SPEAKER_00 (13:16):
Yeah, well, definitely.
Yeah, so I mean, but they'restupid if they don't sign him.
Um, agreed.
We'll we'll see what happenswith that.
Yeah, it's hard to find two wayhawk hockey players like him.

SPEAKER_03 (13:29):
Yep.

SPEAKER_01 (13:29):
Oh, we got Kevin Kevin from last week.
Glad to see you guys on thescreen again.
Welcome to Trent.
Hope you guys are having a goodepisode so far.

SPEAKER_03 (13:38):
Thank you.

SPEAKER_01 (13:39):
Yeah, he he was one of the guests last week.
He's uh also a Kings fan aswell.
Yeah, yeah, great guy.
I had I had Eric last week, andhe's the other ducks fan.
So we had to eat we had to equalit out a little bit last week
with the predictions.
Yeah, so we'll see how those allturn out.

SPEAKER_05 (13:56):
Um I have a friend that is a kings fan who lives in
Anaheim Hills.
I'm like, I don't like you.

SPEAKER_00 (14:02):
So so so what you have to realize, Trent.
Uh, when I became a Kings fan,um, there wasn't the only team
in California was the LA Kings.
Yeah, so you know it's it's it'shard to go away.
I mean, I had the triple crownline, I had you know, Gretzky

(14:23):
came, you know, and I'll behonest with it.
If Gretzky doesn't come to LA,do we have Aheim Ducks?
Do we have San Jose Sharks?
No, probably not.
So, and if it wasn't for BruceMcNall needing money, um, which
they got he got paid.
He actually talked to Disneyabout uh putting in for a team,

(14:48):
and that he would get paid moneybecause he was obviously wasn't
uh he went to jail, so we allknow uh yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (14:56):
We got more comments.
Uh, don't get me wrong, I likethe ducks, but I prefer the
kings.
I grew up on the mighty ducksmovies.
No, I hey you you could be apredator fan, a predators fan, a
Tampa Bay fan.
We welcome everyone.
It doesn't have to be just Ducksor Kings.
I just we just love having fun.

SPEAKER_05 (15:14):
I just like the fact that we, you know, just randomly
had Connie at one of the gamesone time, and I was like,
everyone's like, What?

SPEAKER_01 (15:23):
I'm like, man, that's how we roll.
Sorry, I guess we're cool likethat.
And then uh Adam uh Love Trent'sepisodes on Lockdown Ducks.
He and he meant to say uh hellof a story.
Yeah, I know I saw and he'slike, oh hella.
Yeah, and then uh Kevin, I wouldpay 12 uh Kempe 12 too.
Uh if we lose him and with Koberetiring, I think it wouldn't I

(15:46):
think it wouldn't be crazy tosay that blowing it up and
starting it over with Q, Laugh, and Clark would be a good idea.

SPEAKER_00 (15:53):
You know, Kevin, I I totally agree with you, brother.
I totally that's why it was funto have you on the podcast last
week.
You did a fantastic job.
Yeah, he did.
We appreciated you and all theefforts that went with that.
Um, let's go on to league leaguenews before we uh go too long,

(16:16):
Cody.
Yeah, you are okay.
I'll start.
I'll start.
Uh Tampa Bay defender JJ Moserhas been suspended two games for
boarding Panthers forward JesperBoquist.

SPEAKER_01 (16:29):
Yeah, that and then uh also Tampa Bay forward Scott
Sabarn has been suspended fourgames for bruffing Panthers
defenseman Aaron Eckblad.
And then I'm just gonna add tothis last one the NHLs also
fined the Tampa Bay Lightning ahundred thousand dollars and
John Cooper 25,000 for theiractions um culminating in the

(16:54):
events of the preseason gameversus Florida.
Did you guys see the like Ithink there was like 16
ejections?
I didn't it literally like abearer league team bench, like
they had there like five playerson each bench on the Tampa Bay
bench and everything.
It it was uh something you don'tsee often in an NHL or preseason

(17:15):
or season game.

SPEAKER_00 (17:16):
Well, you know, maybe it was Tampa Bay uh
telling the Panthers that umwere willing to do anything to
upset and take over.

SPEAKER_01 (17:28):
That's pretty much exactly what I thought it was.
I just wish it wasn't apreseason game.
Yeah, that's the only thing.

SPEAKER_00 (17:37):
Yeah, let's we'll move on from that now.
So Connor Connor McDavid signeda two-year$25 million contract
with Edmonton Oilers, and it hasan average annual value,
obviously, of 12.5 and begins inthe 26-27 season.
So for Cody for getting thatone, right?

(18:01):
Well, what it tells me is hedoesn't believe they can be good
for a long time, he's not gonnasign that long term unless they
prove to him they're they can doit, yeah.
And it gives him an out clauseto move on to a team that you
know young and up and coming.
And I mean, one team up andyoung and up and coming is the

(18:23):
ducks.
Could you imagine three yearsfrom now that you got Connor
McDavid in the middle of that?

SPEAKER_01 (18:29):
I like how you say ducks and not kings.

SPEAKER_00 (18:32):
Well, you know, it it it what right now it it
doesn't look that way.
Obviously, we're already old, yeah, right, Cody, from what you
said.

SPEAKER_01 (18:43):
But um, but the ducks are just say it.
Somebody else said it, I justput it in the note.
Okay, let's get that right.
Let's get that right.
Okay, but what but honestly, what a steal of a deal for
Edmonton to get him at the exactsame annual value as he is now.

(19:04):
So, what is that?
What does that really tell you?
He wants to win, like he okay,he's he wants to help Edmonton
win that cup.

SPEAKER_00 (19:12):
I can totally respect that.

SPEAKER_01 (19:16):
I do too.

SPEAKER_00 (19:18):
I mean, because honestly, I would if I was him,
I want to win.
It's it's just being a if you'reever an at been an athlete, you
want to win.

SPEAKER_01 (19:31):
And uh he he's sacrificing to win, so yeah, but
but and there were there's therewas actually more signings that
the oilers did.
Um that same day they signeddefenseman Jake Wallman to a
seven by seven deal, sevenyears, seven million contract
extension, and that starts nextseason.

(19:54):
Yeah, we're gonna exactly whatAdam says.
It's an ultimatum, either win orlose me for pretty much, yes.

SPEAKER_00 (20:00):
Agreed, Adam.
Um, so Jack Eichel's newcontract extension with Vegas is
for eight years and a hundredand eight million.
So actually, the number two pickin that draft where Connor was
number one, he's gonna make amillion dollars more a year for

(20:20):
a few years before uh McDavidgets his 20 million somewhere.

SPEAKER_01 (20:26):
Yeah, exactly.
So 13 and a half million.
I honestly like I think I Ithink he could have gotten more,
but I think he took that just sothe Vegas can stay competitive.

SPEAKER_00 (20:40):
That's how you win.
It's a it's a the I call it theTom Brady effect because did he
ever be the top uh uh moneyearner?
No, ever.
He always took a uh a friendlydeal so they could still win.
And they he how many Super Bowlsdid he win?
Seven.
Yeah, it does not remind me ofthat.

(21:00):
Out of seven out of nine?

SPEAKER_01 (21:04):
Ten.
He lost twice, yeah, twice toGiants and once to Philly.

SPEAKER_00 (21:11):
Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01 (21:12):
Yeah, that's still 70.
Yeah, that's crazy.
All right, next up, uh theWinnipeg Jets have signed
forward Kyle Connor to aneight-year 12 million dollar AAV
contract extension, and thatdeal begins in 26-27.
So a lot of these top peoplethat were gonna be free agents
at the end of the year are allgone now, just like last year,

(21:36):
and the year before that, andthe year before that.

SPEAKER_00 (21:39):
And here's another thing uh the oilers have signed
uh Matias Elcombe to athree-year four million AAV
contract extension, and it thatalso begins in the 26-27 season,
so they're they're trying tosolidify their team, yeah, for
at least the next three or fouryears.

SPEAKER_01 (22:00):
Yeah, wow, and then uh the blackhawks have signed
UFA defenseman Matt Grizzlick toa one-year, one million dollar
contract.
He was on a PTO with the teamduring preseason.

SPEAKER_00 (22:13):
Hey man, I was supposed to be on PTO yesterday,
and all the call-outs.

SPEAKER_01 (22:18):
That's but that's a different PTO.

SPEAKER_00 (22:19):
I know.
I'm just having I was justhaving fun with it.
Um, so you got NHL franchisevaluations, Cody.
That must be notes you have.

SPEAKER_01 (22:30):
Uh, yeah, I got the picture right here.
Do you do you guys want to takea guess on who is the top value?
Then who's the number one valueuh franchise in the NHL?

SPEAKER_00 (22:43):
I think it's say Toronto Maple Leafs.

SPEAKER_01 (22:46):
The Toronto Maple Leafs are number one.
You want to guess who's can youget me?
Can you guess the top five realquick?
Montreal Canadians, they'renumber three.
Trent, you have any guesses?
Um so uh I'm I'm gonna give youa hint.
Just think original six.
Oh, original six.

(23:07):
Oh, geez, original six.

SPEAKER_05 (23:08):
Uh Rangers, pick the Rangers.
Trent pick the Rangers.
I'm not very good with theteams.
That's the worst part.
I I love hockey, but I don'tknow the teams.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_00 (23:21):
You can tell it's say New York Rangers.

SPEAKER_01 (23:29):
Go ahead.
Say New York is it the Rangers?
I don't know.
The Rangers aren't the Rangersare number two.
Montreal is number three.
Um, Adam says Chicago andDetroit.
Detroit is right now.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

(23:50):
Ten is Detroit.
Chicago is seven.
Okay, Boston is four, and yeah,I saw I um I saw that.
Oh, where is it?
Uh I would guess Blackhawks, uh,Boston.
Boston is number four, LA Kingsare number five.

(24:11):
The ducks are on the bottomfourth of it, uh uh one point
just under 1.6 billion.
Um so you have Toronto at 4.25billion, Rangers 3.65 billion,
Montreal 3.3 billion, um, Boston3 billion, and the LA Kings at

(24:34):
2.96 billion.
God, we lost by 0.4 billion.
Yeah, to ball to Boston.
It's it's funny.
So this is all hey, this is theonly time you guys are able to
beat um Edmonton.
Edmonton has a value of 2.76billion.
Yay.
We finally win something withEdmonton.

(24:59):
Okay, all right, and then um andthen here's just a a straight
salary dump kind of trade.
Um, the the San Jose Sharks haveacquired the contract of Orion
Ellis and a 2026 conditionalsix-round pick from the
Philadelphia Flyers for CarlGrundstrom and Ardum Guriev.
Um, and Elliot has not playedsince November 2021 due to

(25:23):
injury.
So is he done?
Yeah, he he's pretty much done.

SPEAKER_00 (25:29):
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (25:32):
Um yeah, he he hasn't played since 2021, so he
he he's been on uh um even ablind squirrel finds a nut Adam.

SPEAKER_00 (25:41):
Are you speaking from experience?

SPEAKER_01 (25:44):
That is experience.
Um, and then you want to do thenext one, Dad?

SPEAKER_00 (25:51):
Uh the Bruins announced their retiring Sedeno
Charo's number 33 on January15th, 2026.
About time.

SPEAKER_01 (25:59):
Yeah, I know.
I was gonna say he's beenretired for a few scenes now.

SPEAKER_00 (26:03):
God what he played till like he was 44 or something
like that.
And he was and he never neverreally oh uh about the kings
beating Edmonton and and thevalue.
Yeah, just oh the season's justgetting started, Adam.
We'll see what happens until thefirst round.

(26:25):
There's a lot of peoplepredicting that the kings would
beat him right now.

SPEAKER_01 (26:28):
So I I everyone had that last year, and that would
turn out great for you.
Well, we'll see what happens.
All right, and then uh do thenext one.
I'm gonna look up Zedano Charareal quick.

SPEAKER_00 (26:40):
Okay, Vegas has placed Alex Petrangelo on season
ending LTIR.
The team can now exceed the capby his full cap hit of 8.8
million.
Move approved by the NHL, theNHL uh players association, and
the player that that's requiredto be able to do that.

(27:01):
All of them have to agree to it.
So that means he's not playingthis year.
No more coming back in theplayoffs, you know, with$30
million worth of players andlike Vegas has done in the past.

SPEAKER_01 (27:17):
Yeah, so the last year of Zidano Chara, he played
72 games for the New YorkIslanders and he was 44 years
old.
What can I say?
And he's still he's still outthere running Iron Man marathons
and all this.
That guy, that guy is just afreak of nature.
It's crazy.

SPEAKER_00 (27:38):
Yes, he's an awesome player.

SPEAKER_01 (27:42):
Yeah, and then Hall of Famer, probably too.
Hall of Famer is I think he's inthe Hall of Fame.
Oh, did he already get in?
Yeah, he's already in.
Perfect.
Yep.
Seven time all-star.
He won the Messi Award, he wasthe Norris winner, and then he
has one Stanley Cup.

(28:04):
All right, and then uh next onthe league news, Cam Atkinson is
going to retire.
Um, he will sign a one-daycontract with the Columbus Blue
Jackets on October 16th andofficially retire as a member of
the Blue Jackets.

SPEAKER_00 (28:18):
And we have another Oilers signing.
Jack Roslovik signs a one-year,1.5 million deal with the
Oilers.

SPEAKER_01 (28:27):
About time someone signed him.
I the guy who scored 22 goalslast year, and he just now
signed.
And he was like a great playerin Carolina, too.
And then last up for the leaguenews is Jonathan Druin has been
suspended for one game forcross-checking penguins Connor
Dewar.

unknown (28:46):
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (28:47):
Let's move on to game recap.

SPEAKER_00 (28:50):
Game recaps.

SPEAKER_01 (28:52):
Alright, I'm gonna just do you want to do yours, uh
at least one of yours realquick, Dan?
Yeah, well we'll uh give you alittle break with what my one
game.
Well, I only got two.
I only got two.
Oh, you okay, so you do one,I'll do one, and then you do
your last one.

(29:14):
You're I can't you're muted,Dad.
I can't hear you.
See, Trent, this is why we can'thave nice things.

SPEAKER_05 (29:29):
I know.
I'll see you there.
Oh, hold on.

SPEAKER_01 (29:35):
He he's mute.
You're muted.
Go on the you muted yourself onthe comp on the studio.
I'm just wait, I'm just waitingfor there he is.
There, I knew the comment wascoming.
I knew the I I was just waitingfor I was looking at the
comments like, where's Adam?

(29:56):
Yeah, that's all right.
There you are.

SPEAKER_00 (29:59):
I I Didn't touch anything.

SPEAKER_05 (30:03):
That's what my mom says all the time.
I didn't touch anything.
I was like, great.

SPEAKER_01 (30:07):
Oh, and as soon as you muted and we were waiting, I
lay I waited for the comments.
I'm like, Adam's gonna saysomething.
Oh, that's okay.

SPEAKER_00 (30:15):
The captain of chaos.
Oh that's I I I still rememberuh at the um that one hole where
you were getting heckled, and uhthe shot went what uh way over
to the right.
Did you ever find the ball,Adam?

SPEAKER_01 (30:36):
Did you hear what I said to him?
What I said a storm trooper canshoot better than you.
Oh my god, that's a pretty badone.
Oh, and he it's funny because heis like, Yep.
All right, um down.

SPEAKER_00 (30:53):
Opening night.
Let's get to the opening night.
Kings against the ColoradoAvalanche, and you know, first
period it was competitive, nothing happened, and then the
Kings just you know, unfortunately, yeah, that's what
they did.

(31:14):
You know, um, three goals in thesecond by Colorado.
Um Kings got some kind of easygoal there and to help out just
a little bit.
And let's go through the scoringreal quick.
Uh Martin Natchez scored uh thefirst goal at the 48 second uh

(31:38):
48-second mark of the secondperiod.
Uh assists from McKinnon andLekinen.
Then Sam Malinsky scoredunassisted to make it
two-nothing.
And then Arturi Lekinen scoredhis first from McCarr, his
first, and McKinnon his second,um, which made it three to

(31:59):
nothing.
Then, of course, uh in the thirdperiod, Netches scored on the
power play.
Uh McCar got his second assist,Nelson his first, made it
four-nothing.
But Fiala scored uh at the 1506mark on the power play from
Kempe and Kopotar to make it a4-1 game.

(32:19):
Um let's just go through see whohow the shots were.
Kings outshot him 25-23.
They beat him in the face-offcircle 55-45.
Now, the part of the Kingsproblem is they were penalty
killing six different times, butthey only gave up one goal, and

(32:41):
the Kings were one for four onthe power play.
Um, other than that, let's uhwell just I'm sure the three
stars of the game gotta be allavalanche.
I'll just Natchez was the firststar with two goals, McKinnon
was the second star with twoassists, and uh Lekinen was the

(33:03):
third star with a goal and anassist.
And I'd like to forget aboutthis game, and we can move on to
that first game.

SPEAKER_01 (33:11):
I I I I want to forget about the these helmets
first.
So you guys see the Kings.
Um, they actually warmed up intheir normal home jerseys, and
then when they came back out, they came out with their new
third jerseys, and this is whatthey came out with.
I like I I don't mind, you know,the jersey.

(33:35):
I hate the helmet.
I hate I do not like the helmet.

SPEAKER_00 (33:39):
Yeah, those are weird.
Yeah, it's just a less shinychrome dome.

SPEAKER_01 (33:47):
Yeah, Kevin, am I crazy for loving the helmet?

SPEAKER_00 (33:52):
You're crazy.

SPEAKER_01 (33:55):
I mean, everyone has preferences.
I mean, I thought it looked niceat first, and then when they
started playing, I was like, ohmy god, like the the helmets
match a little too close to me.
Like, I think this would be abetter matchup, like maybe
against the ducks that wear likethe orange helmet, you know, or
like or uh, you know, the sharkswith their teal helmet and or

(34:18):
the the canes with their redhelmet when they you know, but
I'm like looking like I don'tlike it.
Like I love now, Dad.
I know you wanted the theforeign blue and gold, and I
think that would have been theway better choice to go with,
but I don't mind this.
I just wish they would have gonestayed with the matte black
helmet, and I think it wouldhave been perfect.

SPEAKER_00 (34:39):
Well, you know, it it when you have a third jersey,
you want it to be more not somuch the same.
It's a lot the same to me.

SPEAKER_01 (34:51):
I don't I don't think I don't think Turkot likes
it either.
Just look at that face, yeah.
Really?

SPEAKER_00 (34:56):
And and and and uh Adam, did you uh crash into the
boards and hit your head?
You like the helmets, hate thejersey?
Really?
I'm just the opposite of that.

SPEAKER_01 (35:06):
It's I'm the opposite.
I'm like uh no.

SPEAKER_00 (35:09):
That's okay.
Everybody can have an opinion.
Yeah, some of us are are just alittle better at it than others.

SPEAKER_01 (35:18):
So is it uh were you were you done with your uh recap
of the first game?
Yes, you know, you know what Iwas shocked to I didn't see is
the harmonic queens didn't comeback.
I thought they would have cameback for the opening night for
you guys.
Oh, the Korean uh yeah, theharmonic wings.

(35:41):
So, all right, I'll we'll startwith uh our game, and Trent, of
course, you can chime in.
All right, the Ducks went on theroad to Seattle for the first
game of the season, and itstarted off very strong.
Great opening 20 minutes.
Um, unfortunately, uh Seattledid get the first goal at the

(36:01):
221 mark on a wrist shot fromVince Dunn, but about two
minutes later, Beckett Seneca inhis NHL debut scores his first
NHL goal with assists from MasonMcTavchin.

SPEAKER_05 (36:14):
What a great play that was by that was I mean for
a kid who had his I'm like, dude, I that was it was going
bananas when we were watching itat Burie F.
Dude, I don't want it to go tothe bad for that kid to have his
first NHL goal in front of hisparents so awesome, in front of
his mom and mom and sister andstuff.

(36:35):
I'm like, dude, that's gotta belike mind-blowing, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (36:40):
And so I'm gonna just say this after the first
period, shots on goal, Seattlefive, the ducks 17.

SPEAKER_05 (36:49):
That was nuts.

SPEAKER_01 (36:50):
Yeah, and the only reason this it was a 1-1 tie
after one was because of JoeyDeCord.
We got goalied, we got goaliedin the first period, and then
second period, um MasonMarchmont scores his first of
the season to make it 2-1 at the350 mark, so now it's 2-1
Seattle after two, and thenJared McCann scores a lone goal

(37:16):
in the third for his first ofthe year, and it that we got a
final of three to one.
Like I said, we played a greatopening 20 minutes and then just
completely fell off after that.
Yeah, um, we had we had to.
I mean, we did have 12 shots inthe second, but Seattle had 11.
And in the third period, whenyou're down, you should not be

(37:37):
getting outshot by twice theamount.
The the Ducks had seven shots ongoal, Seattle had 15.
That should be the opposite whenyou're down.
So the final shots on goal was36 to 31.
Faceoff percentage, we're stilliffy on the face-off percentage.
We lost uh 54 um to 46.

(37:59):
Um, power play 0 for 1, but thepenalty kill was uh two for two,
so that's good.
The penalty kill looked great.
Um, hits 24 to 29 in favor ofSeattle.

Now, here's the big thing (38:12):
block shots.
The Ducks had seven block shots.
Seattle had 26 block shots inthat game.
So we were getting shots off,but we just gotta get the shots
through.
So um the ducks fall in theseason opener in Seattle, uh,
three to one.

(38:33):
There was just a couple bad uhdefensive mishaps that led to
the Marchmick goal and theMcCann goal.
The the first goal, I Vince Dunnjust a great shot, and Dostal
got screened, but the other twojust horrible defense.
And I on an honest opinion, Idon't think Dostal had that
great of a game either.

(38:53):
I thought he was a little roughon in that game.
Uh, I don't know what you saw inthat game, Trent.

SPEAKER_05 (38:59):
Uh, you know, I after like the second, I kind of
like went and started talking topeople afterwards.
I don't even want I mean Iwatched the first and second,
but then after a third, I waslike, I went and went and talked
to people.

SPEAKER_01 (39:11):
Oh, Trent, I was I was just like this just oh I
know.

SPEAKER_05 (39:14):
My oh, just watching it like whatever with my
brother-in-law and stuff, andhe's more the analytical
statistical guy.

SPEAKER_01 (39:21):
Um I wish I could be more analytical a little bit
more, just so I like I I likehow like Jake and Felix can from
Crash Upon, they're so good atthe analytical stuff, like and
everything.
Like, I wish I knew what likeunderstanding what everything
was, but I'm more of a visualperson, anyways.

SPEAKER_05 (39:42):
Yeah, I don't know.
It's the funny.
I'm a diehard ducks fan, but yetI don't know squat about
statistics or our players or howgood they play, but I'm more
about oh hey man, how's itgoing?

SPEAKER_01 (39:55):
You're you're uh Trent, you're a vibes guy, okay?
You're vibes, and I think weneed people like you.

SPEAKER_05 (40:02):
The one thing I gotta say, the one thing I gotta
say, it's like now it's been twoyears past.
I'm like, now they're like, I'mnot even hey man, how's it
going?
It's like hey chair, I'm liketalking to me, like me, right?
Like, like you know, there'slike a million people who want
who love these guys, and thenand then I was like, they're

(40:23):
like, Oh, like, like, becausethey did there's an event where
like you know, you get to gomeet the players and get the
autographs and stuff, and killhorn was like, Hey bro, hey man,
how's it going?
I was like, how's life?
I was like, Did Alex Kil Hornask me how I'm doing?
I'm like, dude, this is nuts.
So again, yeah, that that I am.

(40:44):
I'm more the vibes of how I'mgoing, but yeah, if you ask me
about anything, I'll I'll lookat you like you ask me.

SPEAKER_01 (40:55):
All right, so and then uh the three I didn't even
go over the three stars.
Um, three stars of the game.
McCann was the third star withone goal.
Uh Marshmallow Mason Marshmallowwas the second star with one
goal, and then Joey DeCord wasthe number one star with only
one goal given up and a nineseven two save percentage.

(41:16):
Yeah, he you you got DeCorded.
Decored.
Uh and then real quick for Adam, the jersey's way too plain.
I'm not a fan of the crown, butI'm also I'm also crazy because
I want the ducks to go to theorange chrome dome.
I don't want an orange chrome.
I wouldn't mind seeing what itlooks like, but I'm not a fan of

(41:37):
I'd rather them go to the matteorange look.
But I like the matte black theKings have.
Yeah.
I get rid of I do like the crownlogo.
I I do like, but I wish theywould have done the forum blue
and yellow.
So go ahead and talk about youruh last game, Dad.

SPEAKER_00 (41:53):
Okay, my last game, you know, very next night.
The Kings have a very toughschedule.
I mean, they're playing threereally good teams in a row.
Um and they're in Vegas onWednesday night, and it starts
off really well.

(42:14):
Um, just a little bit of arecap.
Uh, you know, and I'll get intothe details in the Byfield and
Kuzmenko each have have a goaland assist for LA.
Eichel earns his$13.5 milliondollar new contract by getting
four points, and Dor Dorove getsa hat trick.

(42:35):
And I tell you, that guy's astud.
He had 35 goals last year.
Who who has him in our fantasyleague?
I I don't know.
You know what's funny is infantasy, not necessarily is a
guy scoring 35 goals asimportant unless they do
everything well, but he scoreson the power play, so that

(42:56):
helps.
So let's go get quick over andgo to the scoring.
Uh, in the first period, umAndre Kuzmenko gets his first on
the power play.
Take a pause.

SPEAKER_01 (43:11):
Take your pause real quick because you're like
cutting in and out.
Yeah, okay.
All right, all right, go becauseyou you were starting to sound
like a robot for there for thelast 30 seconds.

SPEAKER_00 (43:21):
Sorry, I I I couldn't tell.
I hear myself just fine.
You're fine, that's why I waslike, wait, stop.
So Andre Kuzmenko on the powerplay gets his first at 441 of
the first period from Copatara'ssecond assist and Fiala his
first to give the Kings aone-nothing lead.

(43:43):
And then Quentin Byfield getshis first unassisted to put put
the Kings up 2-0 at the 1157mark.
Um so it's a 2-0 Kings.
And that's when uh Vegas getsin.

(44:05):
Uh Dorove scores his uh firstunassisted to make it two to
one, just two minutes into thesecond period.
So it's now two-one.
Then finally, Jeff Millot getshis first from Joel Armia, his
first, and Turcott his first.

(44:26):
What I like about this is we'vegot multiple lines producing
goals here, so this is lookinggood.
We're up three-one.
But Dora Dorovayov scores againon the power play, um with a
little over two minutes left inthis uh second period uh to make

(44:49):
it three to two from Stone hisfirst and Eichel his first, and
he scores his third just twominutes later.
Stone gets a second, Eichel getshis second, so now it's three
three, and that's that's how thesecond period ends.

(45:10):
Uh King started off really good.
Look at they were up three-one,now it's three three.
Third period starts.
The the new$13.5 million manscores his first at uh five
minutes into the third periodfrom Marner his first and
Barbishoff, Barbashef his first,uh to put Vegas up 4-3.

(45:32):
Now Kings were up 3-1.
Now it's 4-3 Vegas.
Then Barbashef gets his firstfrom Eichel his third, and
Marner his second uh at theeight uh eight-minute mark to
put Vegas up 5-3.
So we were up three-one and gaveup four straight goals.
Now, this is where it gets, Ithought weird.

(45:54):
You're up five to three, andshorthanded, Trevor Moore gets
his first at the 1139 mark fromDano his first and Dowdy his
first to put um the Kings justdown by one, five to four.
And then Brand Clark gets hisfirst at the 14-minute mark from
Byfield his first and Kazmenkohis first.

(46:18):
And now we have a tie game.
We go to overtime, a lot ofexciting things happen in order
overtime, but nobody scores.
So let's go to the shootout.
So who starts out the shootoutfor the the Kings?
But you know, hopefully the new12 million dollar man.
Let's hope we they sign him, hegets a goal, and then uh the the

(46:41):
new 13.5 million dollar man,Eichel, goes first for Vegas,
and uh Forsberg makes the save.
Then coming up second is TrevorMoore, who who gets the goal.
Uh so the Kings are up twonothing.

(47:02):
Then, of course, whoever whoscores three goals, he scores
also in the shootout.
Uh Dorov scores again to make ittwo to one.
So it's now two-one.
Fiala uh shoots, and there's asave.
And now if they can stop Marnerand Forsberg stops Marner on the

(47:28):
on the shootout, and the Kingswin the game two to one.
Let's go to the three stars ofthe game.
And obviously, the third star, obviously, with a game-winning
shootout goal and a short-handedgoal in the game was Trevor
Moore.
Second star, which to me, Iwould have had him be my first

(47:50):
star, uh, with a goal and threeassists, Jack Eichel.
And the number one star for thegame is Dorov with three goals.
And I got I I just think he's ahe's a stud goal scorer, and I
only see him getting better, andI wish he wasn't on Vegas.

(48:11):
So and that's uh that ends theweek for the the Kings and
Games.

SPEAKER_01 (48:17):
So now do we want to go to predictions?
Let's go to predictions.
All right, so Trent, all right,we got these games coming up.
So we got tonight against theSan Jose Sharks in San Jose.
What what's your prediction fortonight?

SPEAKER_05 (48:40):
Uh uh, I think we'll do well, but I don't know.
I I've always thought that weplayed against the sharks.
Obviously, when I go to thestate, when I go and watch.
Um, sometimes we win, sometimeswe're not.
I don't know.
Um I just think for yousometimes, it just all depends

(49:03):
how they do, uh, you know, overall.
I don't know.
That's just my opinion.

SPEAKER_01 (49:09):
Yeah, you have a prediction for tonight, like
who's gonna win and what's thescore?

SPEAKER_00 (49:14):
Go go bold, Trent.
Pick pick a score.
I I think I think you're gonnado better than Cody.
I'm betting on it.
Well, I don't know.
Let's see.

SPEAKER_05 (49:24):
We play against the sharks, we've either lost the
sharks or won against thesharks.

SPEAKER_04 (49:29):
So um say it's a possible uh say five, two,
three.
Five, three.
Who wins?
Uh, us or the sharks.

SPEAKER_00 (49:46):
No, you gotta pick one.
Come on, come on.
It's hard, it's hard.
I don't ever do this before.
Um, you're good.
Yeah, you'll probably go threeand oh.
You'll probably be better thanall of us.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_05 (49:59):
I'd say maybe us, man.
Let's say maybe us, but thenthere's a possibility of them
coming back.

SPEAKER_00 (50:04):
So it's like okay.
I'm gonna go Trent.
You go bold or go home.
You're going five three ducks.
There you go.
I'm sticking five three ducks.
There you go.

SPEAKER_01 (50:16):
Uh uh about you, Cody.
I'm going 4-1 ducks on this one.
I'm going 4-1.
And then um the home opener,Trent.
Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_05 (50:29):
We're gonna either we're we're we're uh absolutely
gonna win this.
That that's either gonna be wellthey we've won almost every
we've won every home opener.
So I think that's our that's oursweet spot.
Uh the penguins.
Man, I would I would see a uhlike a a four to uh four to two

(50:54):
uh win at the end.

SPEAKER_01 (50:57):
Four-two.
I'm saying five-two, and we allget chicken.
I like it.
So I'm saying five-two on winfor the Anaheim Ducks, and then
Thursday home against the homehurricanes.

SPEAKER_05 (51:15):
Oh, I I'm thinking uh I would probably say we would
probably yeah, I'd probably goI'd go three-three.

SPEAKER_01 (51:34):
It can't end in a tie.

SPEAKER_05 (51:36):
No, or no, sorry.
Three three-two.
Three-two us losing by a point.

SPEAKER_00 (51:44):
Okay, so you you got two three, the ducks lose to the
canes.

SPEAKER_01 (51:49):
Okay, I I I have I have us losing four to three.
So I I have us losing that gameas well.
I like what the Hurricanes didthis offseason.
I I think they're a strongerteam, so I th I think I see
we're pretty close.

SPEAKER_00 (52:05):
They're they're one of the favorites for the Stanley
Cup this year.

SPEAKER_01 (52:09):
Yeah, I'll believe it when they actually win more
than one game in the EasternConference final.

SPEAKER_00 (52:14):
Yeah, well, we'll see.
I I think they're one of thefavorites for it.
I mean, doesn't mean they'regonna win.

SPEAKER_01 (52:22):
Yeah, right.
So and then uh dad, you wannago?

SPEAKER_00 (52:28):
Well, you know, we I I did predict the the Jets Kings
game last week, but it's justprobably going now.
I have not looked at the score,so I don't know even know what's
going on.
Um, I picked 3-2, I'll stickwith that.
Kings beat them 3-2 in uhWinnipeg.
Then they're at the wild.
I picked the Kings winning 4-2,and then at home on the 16th

(52:51):
against the Penguins.
I got the Kings winning.
I'm gonna I'm going with a sweep4-3.
And they never beat thepenguins.
I don't care how good or bad thepenguins are, the Kings never
beat them.
So I'm going for a finally avictory against those penguins.
Those little funny birds, man.
They just seem to score goalsagainst us.

SPEAKER_05 (53:12):
Yeah, all right.
So they're nice and fluffy, butso all right, now we got our
predictions done.

SPEAKER_01 (53:22):
Trent, I want to hear what's tell everyone your
story.

SPEAKER_05 (53:27):
Um, so I'll start before I read it off.
I have a whole I'm gonna makethis shorter than it's supposed
to.
Um, hi, I'm Trent Sullivan.
I am the 2023, 2024, 21st Duck.
Uh, if you don't know what a21st duck is, it's somebody they
pick uh who has a greatbackstory, does a lot for the
community, and um, you know, gets to basically be a celebrity

(53:51):
for the day.
Um, you know, get to go on theice with the team, you know, you
get to basically be one of themfor a whole day.
Your name is on the roster, literally.
I I that's the only thing Idon't have a picture of that.
That's the one thing that wassuper cool.
Is my picture was on the rosterand had my name, my number.
Obviously, I didn't havestatistics, but it was super

(54:12):
cool to have like just yourpicture on the um, you know, on
the wall on the jumbo drawn andstuff.
And you know, uh for those whodon't know what that is, uh, you
know, it's you're basically acelebrity for the day.
The whole day is all about you,and then after that, the whole
season is all about, you know, you're well known, you're you're

(54:32):
famous in a way, and uh I'm I'mI'm two years out of being my
out of my season, so and stillpeople to this day come up to me
and they're like, hey man, how'sit going?
I'm like, I have no idea.
I don't know who they are, but Ithink it's just awesome.
Yeah, it's an awesome thing thatI didn't even know was even a
thing until my year.

(54:55):
So um, I'm gonna read off somethings that I've written down so
people can understand who mystory is, and it's especially
for myself as well.
Uh, good afternoon.
Actually, good mor.
Uh, good afternoon.
It's almost 11 o'clock.

SPEAKER_04 (55:10):
Um, good day.

SPEAKER_05 (55:14):
Um, I'm lucky to be here today to share my story.
Uh, growing up and lived everyday with health issues,
complications, hospital statesurgeries, procedures, ammonias,
RSVs, viruses, and most recentemergency cholesterol surgeries
was in 2023.
Um, I can't forget to mentionblood draws, you know, tests, CT

(55:36):
scans, MRIs, annual heartcatheterizations, biopsies.
There are too many to share.
Um, so I maybe I don't knowanything different, but I'm here
today because of my donors.
I have two donors, by the way.
Not three, two.
Um, my health challengesactually started in the first
few hours of life.

(55:57):
Uh, they discovered I had a holein my lungs, and each time I
took a breath, of the airescaped into my chest, which was
pressured into my on on myheart.
It led to the discovery of myheart defect, which is known as
the tetrology of flow or um thethree-word is TOF.

(56:22):
Um, it's a medical term.
I was transported to CHAC whereI was spent three additional
weeks in the NICU, which isbasically they take care of
those who are in the very rarecases.
Um, I was one of those solelyrelying on two different types
of ventilators.

(56:44):
This allowed my lungs to recoverso I can eventually breathe
independently.
Over the next few months, mycardiologist at the time made a
life-threatening mistake thatled to my congenitive heart
failure.

(57:05):
I ended up in the PICU at ChalkHospital, where I was put on
ECMO, which is a heart and lungbypass machine.

SPEAKER_00 (57:16):
Right.

SPEAKER_05 (57:17):
I was on ECMO for 10 days before receiving a heart
transplant on December 10th,1993, which is I was five months
old at Lone Linda University.
So that's a little bit about, you know, my heart is from
Chicago.
Um, you know, it was transportedthe next the following day.

(57:42):
Um, you know, my family and Ihave always been grateful for
you know the donors, and we'vealways celebrated my anniversary
on this in December every year.
Um, I do a separate day bymyself, just to remember the
person who had passed away togive me my life.
Um uh so I'm happy to share in2023.

(58:06):
I celebrated my 30th Hart ChanceBig anniversary party with 200
friends and family, whichincluded Ken French and Gy Bear
for the Anhan Docs, which thatwas nuts.
That was a surprise.
Well, that was the thing you'relike, oh, it's like because I
invited Ken French and GheeBear.
I was like, I bought them andthis and that, and I was like,

(58:29):
but then I go uh I never heard asingle thing, so I'm doing all
my stuff, and all of a sudden Isee Ken French and Gy Bear.
Go ahead, Garrett.

SPEAKER_00 (58:37):
So, so you were the 21st duck, and you got the first
duck ever to come to celebrateyour anniversary.
That's awesome! Yeah, I mean, you know, because he he was the
first pick in the expansiondraft.

SPEAKER_05 (58:52):
I know that's what all my friends are like, dude.
You got G-Bear, the guy whoplayed for the Anaham Ducks
almost what I think he told mehow long ago.
I was like, dude, I know I'm asold as team.
Um sport a few years.
Um you know, although a hearttransplant saved my life, I have

(59:14):
learning disabilities as aconsequence of it.
Um, so you know, memory is notthe greatest, you know, knowing
what's right from wrong.
Sometimes I don't understand.
Um, sometimes I need to get toldtwice instead of one time.
Um, you know, my hearttransplant was indeed a gift of
life.

(59:35):
Um, an infant in Chicago.
Oh no, sorry.
I was rereading back, but my myheart transplant is basically a
gift.
I mean a walking miracle.
People tell me all the time.
They come up to me, like, yeah,I know I've been told for 32
years that I've been, you know.
Uh fast forward to my teenageyears.
Immune suppression medicine wasdue to prevent, you know,

(59:58):
rejection for my kidney.
Just after my 18th birthday, Iwas officially put on kidney
transplant list of August of2010.
So you understand putting onbeing put on a list for a donor,
it's it's it's it can beexciting and also can be nerve
wracking.
And it also could be, you know,I've learned to not keep my I

(01:00:23):
keep my expectations low justbecause of everything that I've
been on.
Um given known how long we wouldfind a match, I was luckily
maintaining without dialysis.
Most kids with kidney kidneytransplants need dialysis.
Um so first call was in November2010.

(01:00:45):
You know, we were super excited, but unfortunately, made to find
out um I wasn't a match afterall, which you have to have a
certain way to match for thedonor and the reception to
match.
It has to be a certain thing.
So uh fortunately, the firsttime was not a match, which took
which was sad, and then I wouldlearn the lesson.

(01:01:06):
I told friends all about it, andthen all of a sudden it didn't
happen.
So I'm like, okay, learn fromthat, learn from that, learn
from that.
While going while my mom's goingthrough the process to be my
kidney donor, because what shewas trying to do, she received a
second call in the morning onFebruary 15th, 2011.

(01:01:27):
So day up day before, day afterValentine's Day.
My birthday.
My dad's birthday.

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:32):
My birthday, Trent.
February, February, February15th is my birthday.
Yep.

SPEAKER_05 (01:01:39):
Nice.

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:39):
So we now we now call now a special day for both
of us, Trent.

SPEAKER_05 (01:01:46):
Exactly.
Um, you know, 12 hours later,uh, within 12 hours, you know, I
was confirming to be a goodmatch and was sent into surgery.
I was successfully received mykidney transplant early hours of
February 16th of 2011.
2011.
This was my second gift of lifedonated by the young adult whose

(01:02:09):
organs went on to savingmultiple people's lives that
day, so not just mine.
There was a heart that wasdonated, a liver that was.
I mean, they were that personbasically gave gave up their
life to save others.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02:24):
Um, my first and second cousins both have had
kidney transplants, and it'samazing how many kids nowadays
need a second or a third.
Oh, they they weren't even kids, they were adults when it
happened, and my first cousinjust had it about two two or
three years ago, and she was inher 70s when she got the kidney

(01:02:48):
transplant.
In fact, my second cousin namedhis kidney Kevin, and he's doing
he's he's still dealing withsome other issues, yeah.
So, I mean, just like uh I'mgonna promise Kevin to put you
in my prayers, or mean uh Trentuh put you in my prayers along
with them because you're you'redealing with stuff uh with these

(01:03:09):
transplants.
Yeah, a lot of people don'tunderstand it, it did save your
life, but you still have thingsyou have to get done.

SPEAKER_05 (01:03:16):
Yeah, and I have to be precautionary still to this
very much so, yes.
30 time years old.
Um I get sick super easy.
It does not take me long.
It's zero from 50, and I'm like,I'm gone.
And I'm like, I'm like, I'm likeshaking, cold.
I I get pneumonias a lot, asI've said before.
Pneumonia is number one thing, but I get a whole bunch.

(01:03:40):
Um, so you know, go into COVIDof and then um after that, you
know, kidney transplant in 2011,so which has been oh gosh, 14
years ago, 14 years ago, be 15,15 in 2026.
Yeah, um, it's crazy.

(01:04:01):
Amen.
Amen.

SPEAKER_00 (01:04:02):
Then that happened for you, brother.
Thank you.

SPEAKER_05 (01:04:05):
Yeah, no, I I I don't I do not take life for
granted after all the stuff I'vebeen through.
Like I think of things so muchdifferently now that I've had
the heart transplant, the kidneytransplant, and then I end up
needing a pacemaker, um, youknow, in during COVID.
Um, and you know, there wasCOVID.

(01:04:26):
You know, families my family'salways been precautionary, you
know.
My siblings and I would comehome, we would clean right away.
I've always and isn't that thefunniest thing?
When COVID happened, everyonelived my life, and that's the
funniest part.

SPEAKER_01 (01:04:41):
I was like, oh, so I could just sit back and let you
all see what it's like to be me.
See, I I I never thought of itlike that until you just said
that and everything, becauselike I I I hated wearing the
mask.
I I did wear the mask becauselike I said, I wanted to be
safe, I want to put othersaround me safe and everything,
but I I could not stand wearingthose masks.

SPEAKER_05 (01:05:03):
Yeah, well, it's funny is I worn N95s even before
thing, even before even likeyeah, people started doing it in
COVID, you know.
It's it's so I've worn I've wornN95s like on an airplane,
doctor's offices.
I mean, those are the only twotimes I'll wear it, you know.
Yeah, um, you know, but if I gotsick as a kid, I end up end up,

(01:05:28):
you know, in the hospital.
That's very common withtransplanted people.
They just go straight.
There's no, it takes them fiveto seven days to recover.
Yeah.
Um the worst part is you know,in fourth grade, I got the
influenza.
Uh you know, in fourth grade, influenza that year was

(01:05:50):
terrible, and my doctors didn'tallow me to go to school.
So I was homeschooled for fivemonths.
So it was like I said, whenmedic when when things come
around, I think we don't wedon't mess around whatsoever.
Um, you know, we also know thisfunny thing is like the

(01:06:12):
distancing, the masks, thewashing, like it's funny because
I did it for 30, 30, 30 years,and then when COVID happened,
I'm like, oh, so you get to feelwhat it's like to be me and how
I have to live this life.
Not that it was a bad thing, butit's like it's just now they're
seeing what it's like to be me.
And people came up to me, cameup to me, and I'm like, they're

(01:06:35):
like, now I get it.
Now I understand why you're thisXYZ ABC.
Um, you know, uh, we always keptour friends and families the
same throughout COVID.
We've all learned to live withme being immune to an immune
compromise, which that's a word,for the last 32 years.

(01:06:58):
Uh so yeah, COVID was scary, butI needed to live and enjoy life.
I I had to.
I couldn't just sit in a sit ina yeah, what what's that?
What's that movie that Jake Jilluh not uh that Jake Jellenhall
does, the bubble boy?

SPEAKER_01 (01:07:16):
Or something like oh yeah, yeah.
Um yeah, I I've never seen it,but I know what you're talking
about.

SPEAKER_05 (01:07:22):
I I'm like I can't I can't do that.
I can't be bubble boy, I can'tbe protected all the time.
So yeah, um, you know, in Augustof 21, you know, I tested
positive for COVID.
Um from you know a preop for apre-op first first for another

(01:07:43):
surgery.
Um unknownly, I didn't even knowI wasn't even exposed.
So so I had um sinus surgery anddeveloped bleeding in my nose
about 10 almost 10 days later.
I went into the R for the nosebleeds to stop and tested

(01:08:05):
positive for COVID.
I'm like, how in the world do Iget tested for COVID?
I'm the most precautionary kidof all time, and yet I and all
people get COVID.
My friends were livid, livid, livid that I got COVID.

(01:08:27):
Like, what?
But you know, uh, but it was thefunniest thing is I'll say this
COVID hits different people indifferent ways.

SPEAKER_00 (01:08:35):
It does.

SPEAKER_05 (01:08:36):
I I got COVID, I was completely fine, and that's
what's so interesting.
I was asymptomatic the wholetime, but I was being monitored
and they saw pauses in myheartbeat.
Um, they'd admitted me toadmitted me and spent over two
weeks in in the COVID unit allby myself.

(01:08:59):
I can do things by myself to acertain extent in the hospital,
but uh my mom is my advocate100, even if I'm old.
Uh even if my mom's old and I'mold, she's still gonna be my
advocate.
That's what I I I want people tounderstand.
You need to advocate foryourself and you need a person

(01:09:20):
to advocate for you.
Yeah, you know, it's it'simportant, it's important.
We we you know, we we we live welive in a world where it's
important to have that stufffixed and set, anyways.
Um, you know, for the first timeI was actually spent alone by

(01:09:43):
myself in the hospital in aCOVID ward.
And without my parents, myfriends, nobody to come see me,
no, like nobody.
I basically felt like uh, youknow, um uh experiment X, you

(01:10:03):
know, at that type of you know, that type of thing.
But due to COVID restrictions,um, I relied on FaceTime calls,
phone calls, social media, youknow, this included calling my
parents, you know, when thedoctors came in, discuss, you
know, my care and disabilitiesor my possibilities of a

(01:10:24):
pacemaker.
Um said two months later, Ireceived a pacemaker implant.
So I've I've now had let's saythis is three years now.
I've had a pacemaker now forthree years, and then and this
thing doesn't need to be checkedfor another 12 years.

(01:10:46):
This this box that that I havethat I have two leads, and one's
just one percent, and it's socrazy.
So, and this I don't have to getit fixed, I don't have to have
it prepared for or I don't haveto have a new one for another 12
years.

SPEAKER_00 (01:11:06):
Oh, that's nice, yeah.
Yeah, that'd be awful if you hadto do something all the time
with that.

SPEAKER_05 (01:11:10):
So the surgery I had was very abrasive, like the scar
that I have is like about thissmall, but they had to go in in
very a very a difficult way.
Where my doctor uh said like Ican't do this again, so it's
like thank god, thank goodnessthat this happened.

(01:11:32):
He's like, So jump May of 23,um, an abdominal pain.
I went to the ER for abdominalpain.
Uh three days later, I underwentan emergency colostomy surgery,
which is basically to take partof your stuff, part of your
colon, take it and make it intoa colostomy bag.

(01:11:52):
Um, if those don't know what acolostomy bag is, which is
basically all the foods andstuff go into this bag and you
have to dump it out and stuff, and people live with it.
So it this information is it'sit's a it's very interesting to
learn.
I didn't know what a colostomybag is.
I didn't even know what acolostomy surgery even was, you
know.
Um you know it gave me quite ascare, and so uh I coded blue.

(01:12:19):
Um, so it took me about took meanother 24 hours to come up to
come off the ventilator and beable to breathe on my own.
Something went wrong.
The it just things went wrong.
Um, you know, at ananesthesiologist that gave me
two the wrong type of um medsthat I was definitely allergic

(01:12:45):
to, and basically one of them isI completely shut down, and um,
and she didn't listen to my mom.
Um, my mom's one of those thatwill tell you you are doing
things wrong.
And um so uh March of 2024, Ihad the colostomy reversal,

(01:13:11):
which um I recovered in an ICU,and then I actually got to go
home, you know.
Um, you know, I got to go homeand sleep in my bed and not
sleep in the hospital bed andstuff, you know.
Collectively, I was along with acolon surgeon, heart transplant,

(01:13:32):
kidney transplant, pulmonary, infection disease, all ensured
that I remained stable aspossible.
Um two weeks after that surgery, you know, they talked about you
know having um, you know, a wayof possible uh sorry, re oh,

(01:13:59):
discuss the risk of benefit ofcomplaining of colostomy
reversals, which is putting itback.
Um, so that that was said anddone.
Um I just shared a clip, not noversion of my medical history
over my lifetime.
You know, I faced a lot ofchallenges that could have

(01:14:21):
knocked me down.
And don't get me wrong, I've hadbad days.
We all have bad days, we allhave our bad days.
Do not get me wrong, everysingle one of us have bad days.
However, I found a way to moveforward using my strength,
perseverance, and reliance.
However, uh, I focus on thesimple things of life.
My favorite things are nowpeople are gonna really get to

(01:14:42):
know who I am.
Uh Starbucks, uh chocolate milk.
It's it's a customized one pop.
Okay, let me reframe this.
I do not drink coffee, I do notdrink, yeah.
I do not drink coffee, I do notdrink any of the frappuccino
stuff.
I drink a specialized one pumpkids' cold chocolate milk with

(01:15:04):
easy ice and whipped cream withone pump of mocha, two pumps of
peppermint, depending on theseason, or pumpkin spice.
Now everyone's so uppy about oror not do it at all.
I love Starbucks, but I don't goto that extent.
Um, you know, chocolate milk, watching my TV favorite TV show.

(01:15:31):
Um, for those who know or haveseen my socials, um, I'm a
diehard office fan.
Die Hard.
I mean, I live, breathe.
And it's if it's not hockey, Ilive, breathe, Thundermith one.
I live and breathe.

(01:15:52):
I swear to dude, I I've probablywatched it over a hundred times,
maybe more.
Um, it's to the point where I Iknow the lines, I know the and
it's so um all of Legos.
Legos was one of my favoritethings, is like when I was in

(01:16:13):
the hospital and ducks games.

SPEAKER_01 (01:16:19):
Amen.

SPEAKER_05 (01:16:20):
Um instead of focusing on ongoing roller
coasters on my healthchallenges, I've learned to go
with the flow, such as adaptingand adjusting to all the new
doctors and nurses.
We've changed all my care toUCLA during COVID-19, which is
so funny.
COVID-19 nowadays it just feelslike a blur.

(01:16:45):
It's it's so nice.
Helen Keller once said, Alone,we could do so little together,

(01:17:06):
we could do so much, which is Imean, it's so true.
Um, so 2023 marked the 30thanniversary of my hard
transplant anniversary party andthe 30th anniversary of our
Anaheim Ducks.
So during that past summer, as acomplete surprise, my sister um

(01:17:31):
Jacqueline Sullivan is mysister, she's my hero, she's
always has been.
Um and stuff, uh, nominatednominated me for, as you can
tell under my name, the2023-2024, 21st duck for the

(01:17:51):
Anahan duck season.
I've gone to many games withfriends and family and loved the
game, loved watching ducks foras long as I can remember.

I'll put it this way (01:18:02):
Mike Babcock was my was my childhood
neighbor's my childhood's my mybuddy I've known for over 20
years.
Mike Babcock was his neighbor.

SPEAKER_03 (01:18:16):
Wow, yeah, wow.

SPEAKER_05 (01:18:19):
So so yes.
Um, so in October, my dad liedand said we had been given a
suite to take to the entirefamily and couple and a couple
of friends to the preseasongames against the coyotes while

(01:18:40):
enjoying the game.
Timus Solani.
I love the dude, he's so cool.
I know.
I love the fact that like youhave a picture of him, like I I
love the dude.
He's he is such likedown-to-earth dude.
I don't know what I don't knowhow to dude.
I went to his restaurant, it wasso cool.

(01:19:02):
We did too.
I know, dude.
It's it was I my sister-in-lawpulled some strings, and and we
got to sit in his in hispersonal um that's where that's
where we sat too.

SPEAKER_01 (01:19:15):
Yeah, we were we gotta sit there too and very
very good steak.
But he he was not there, unfortunately.

SPEAKER_05 (01:19:22):
I was I was like, I was like praying.
I was like, I put it on myTwitter Timo Solani, I'm going
to your restaurant.
Could you please show up?
But um, you know, the funniestthing is what talking about Timo
Solani.
Um, Tima Solani walked up to meand said, Hi, Trent, and showed

(01:19:45):
me a photo.
I ran into I ran into TimaSolani at this event in Arizona.
It's called Barrett Jackson CarShow, it's a car sale about
collective cars out of all ofthousands, I'm talking
thousands, maybe hundreds ofpeople.
I see Timo Solani in this crowd.

(01:20:07):
I'm going like this.
I'm like, there goes TimaSolani.
And I'm like, no, it's not.
I'm like, yes, it is.
So I go up to him, like, heyman, how's it going?
And and so I never heard andnever and and then never saw him
ever again.
Um so it was super cool to seeto have that moment with him to

(01:20:28):
talk about hey, I saw you acouple years ago, Barry Jackson,
you buy that car, you know.
Um, I was surprised and takingit all in as he handled handed
me a custom and custom jerseyand shared that I was the next
21st duck for the 2023, 2024,Anaham Duck season.

(01:20:54):
You know, I've never been ableto play sports, uh, but I feel
so honored to be selected as the21st duck of the ducks program.
Um, so I found out that I had awalk that I had to go on the um
ice.
They're like, so uh do you knowhow to skate?
Like, no.

(01:21:14):
It's like, well, it's time tolearn.
You're going on the ice a weekfrom tomorrow.
I'm like, uh oh, oh, okay, cool.
So my brother, my brother, mybrother and I was like, We'll
take you and stuff, dude.
You know, the whole experiencehas been such, I mean, it's way

(01:21:35):
too long now for to talk aboutit, but dude, I gotta say it has
been one of the greatest andbiggest life-changing uh things
for me, and obviously, Cody, Iknow you see it over social
media and stuff, and you've seenit, you know, over that, but the

(01:21:59):
amount of stuff that that thefountain that that just being a
part of the Ana Hom Docs hasgiven me basically, you know,
going to the games is is likesomething I drive, I love.
And you know, I don't know.

(01:22:20):
Uh I can take I can go on and onand on.
But um, do you guys havequestions about like the 21st
duck stuff, or you havequestions for me you want to ask
that I can try to I can try toanswer for you or no?

SPEAKER_01 (01:22:34):
You you said so like you answered a lot of the
questions just from your yourstory and everything like that.
And like like I said, I I'veI've known about you since they
announced you.
I saw the video with Tima Salonygiving you the jersey and all
that.
So like I said, I've I I havefollowed you since that you were
announced as the 21st duck.

(01:22:56):
Yeah, like that's why I I I youknow I I wanted to go, you know,
talk to you when I that was myfirst time.
I think I saw you once before, but you were talking with people
and internet crowd around you.

SPEAKER_05 (01:23:08):
So that's what I was saying, Nicole.
I've actually never met Codybefore, but I've followed you
since my season, and that'swhat's the funniest thing.
People come up to me like, heyman, I think I've said at the
game the other day.
It's like, well, why didn't youcome and say hi to me?
Like, well, I'm not gonna bite, you know.

(01:23:31):
And so, you know, yeah, a fewthings that I want to add is
like, you know, I was onnational television, I was in
the news, I was in thenewspaper.
I mean, my I have never seen myphone blow up in notifications
in my life, you know.

(01:23:51):
Um, Jojo, JoJo and them, youknow, they honored my late my
brother Grant on cancer fightnight, you know, um, and stuff.
And so, and then like anothermark was the fact that you know
2023 was my 30th birthday, my30th, the Anaham Ducks 30th

(01:24:15):
heart uh the Anaham Ducks 30thanniversary, which is a big
deal.
My 30th Heart 20th anniversaryparty.
So it was like the 30, 30, 30year for me, and I'm like, I
there's you I don't think I'llbe able to top that at all.
There's not there's there'snothing that I can think of in
my life that tops being the 21stduck, being announced the 21st

(01:24:41):
duck, you know, being told uh uhsaying, hey, I want you to tell
us your story.
I want to it's like the factthat like that I was picked to
be the 21st duck has been god, Ilove it, man.
I wouldn't have changed it alittle back.

(01:25:02):
Uh quick thing is I didn't evenknow about it.
The only people that knew aboutit were my mom, my dad, and my
sister, and my brother-in-law,because obviously my sister was
the one that got called by thefoundation and said, Hey, by the
way, first phone call was like,Hey, your brother's a runner up.
Second phone call say, Hey, yourbrother got picked.

SPEAKER_01 (01:25:20):
Oh, that's awesome.
That's awesome.

SPEAKER_00 (01:25:23):
That's awesome.

SPEAKER_05 (01:25:23):
It was, it was.
I think once they saw it, it wasfunny.
One of the foundation people umI've I'm friends with now said,
I read your story.
I was like crying, well, walkingto give it to the other people,
and so that I think that's justlike walking and crying.

SPEAKER_01 (01:25:42):
I was like, I'm sorry.
It's like no, it's all good.
But but you you have a such agreat story, and I love how you
live life and how you just youhandle yourself with everything,
you're you're so outgoing, likeyou and you want to be around
like us, like us Ducks fans andpeople and stuff like that.

(01:26:04):
I guess I love that because likewhen I came up and talked to
you, you were so welcome andeverything, and I I I it was
such a pleasure meet meetingyou, and I'm glad I actually
finally I was like, Okay, here'smy chance.
He there's not a huge crowdaround him.
He doesn't look I'm like, I'm Igotta say hi to Trent and stuff
like that.
So well, that's a funny thingbecause I've I met Kyle for the

(01:26:24):
first time too.
Oh, I thought you knew Kylealready.

SPEAKER_05 (01:26:28):
I have never met Kyle.
I've never met Kyle, dude.
I met Kyle for the first timetoo.
I'm like, dude, I know who youare, I've seen your stuff, but
I've never ever met you, andthat's where like people are
like approaching me at the gamelike I've never ever, but
there's it's it's so hard, butyeah, dude.
I met Kyle, and you was like,Oh, but dude, to end it all,

(01:26:50):
man.
Just it was a blessing indisguise for me to be the 21st
duck to be part of somethingthat now is my life.
Yeah, I live breathe hockey.
Um uh in a joking way.

(01:27:13):
It's like I said, I said, Ishould just build a bedroom in
the raptors and this and justcome down when it's game season.

SPEAKER_01 (01:27:21):
I'll be your roommate, Trent.

SPEAKER_05 (01:27:23):
You know, you and I will just be roommates.
I have to honest around the topwhere all the where all the
things are, yeah.

won that night.
You know, Frank, um, you know,Frank the Tank was that night.
I mean, everyone knows the wholestory about that night, you

(01:27:45):
know.
Um, Allie Lozoff interviewed meat the end with um, you know, uh
I it was Frank the Tank.
So Frank the Tank and I got tobe interviewed at the same time,
and dude, to be interviewed byKent French Gebear, you know the

(01:28:07):
the whole broadcasting.
I was like, dude, this is thiswhat it feels like to be an
actual like movie star.

SPEAKER_01 (01:28:15):
So it's well I just don't know how to explain it.
You are definitely uh you youare definitely a star in the
ducks community.
I can tell you that for now.

SPEAKER_05 (01:28:25):
Yeah, that the one thing I gotta say is they have
said to this day, I am the mostactive 21st duck they've ever
had.
Ever.
Obviously, they come and go andthey come to the game, but like
when it was my year, and like Iheard from the foundation one
day, they're like, Do youunderstand?

(01:28:47):
We never we never see these 21stducks, like ever.
We we see them from time to timewhen life happens, but yeah,
you're the most active 21st duckwe've ever had, and like Ken
French and GBR were saying thesame exact same thing.
They're like, We can't get ridof you.
I'm like joking, joking, likebut it just gets I love it.

(01:29:13):
I just don't know how to explainit, but hockey, hockey now has
been and will forever be a partof my life, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (01:29:22):
Well, we definitely understand that.
Uh it's it's part of our livestoo, in a different way, and the
the neat thing about that trendis you weren't just 23, 24,
you'll be forever a 21st duck.
So, and that's that's such ahonor and a privilege, yeah.

(01:29:43):
And when Cody asked if you couldbe on the podcast, what was my
answer?
Yes, of course, he said, ofcourse.
I said, of course, absolutely,yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (01:29:56):
No, I got I love sharing my story.
I'm not I'm not scared of it.
It's who I am.
It's part of me.
It's gonna be a part of me untilthe day I die.
I mean, realistically.
My my my life dream uh for me isto be the world's longest.

(01:30:18):
Well, I'm still young, but I'mshort.
World's longest my originalheart.
I still have my this is I've nothad any secondary.
I want to be the world's longestheart transfer heart transplant
recipient with his original withthe with the with the first

(01:30:38):
heart transplanted heart.
That's if I can get in theGuinness of World Records of
being the longest hearttransplant recipient with what
having one heart transplant, that will that will just make my
life.

SPEAKER_01 (01:31:06):
Um but before we get out of here, trying, uh, do you
want do you do you want to doyou want to plug anything before
we get out of here?

SPEAKER_05 (01:31:12):
Um no, I just want to say, you know, uh life's too
short.
We gotta enjoy the small things.
Uh I'm a prime example of itall.
Um, you know, take it day oneday at a time.
Don't enjoy the small things, enjoy life, go go out, have fun.

(01:31:33):
Um, you know, we can wallow thepast, but we also gotta get up
and move on.
And you know, yes, it hurts, butat the same time, we gotta, we
gotta like, all right, I can dothis.
I I I you know I want people tolive by example, not lead by
example, you know.

(01:31:53):
You know, like oh trend, he doesthis.
It's like yeah, maybe I wanna Iwanna try to be like him, but
don't be like don't literally belike me, but like have your
attitude, right?

SPEAKER_00 (01:32:04):
Have that attitude to live live and enjoy life no
matter what.
Yeah, I totally get that, Trent, and I I totally respect that.

single day.
One day you can wake up and belike, oh, I don't feel good.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there.
