Dana has a truly incredible story to tell. After an initial trip to South Africa, she returned to America, sold her possessions and moved to Africa. She is the author of three books about her experiences and today we get to hear some of these stories. Dana has traveled extensively and this makes for some great stories. Today we hear many stories including a lion kill right outside her tent and finding a black mamba by herself.

Jan operates a safari company, Sentashya Safaris out of Marloth Park which is just south of the Kruger National Park. Jan goes through his extensive experience with working in the bush and includes walking safaris in the Kruger. He goes through some amazing stories, like getting charged and hit by a rhino, having lions charging him and some guests whilst on foot, with an interesting rescue. Definitely an episode not to be missed.

The host of Safari Stories shares why he started this podcast and some of his personal stories whilst on safari. Some of the stories you will hear about include hippos running on the road, encountering elephants on foot and having a male lion walking towards you in the Kruger National Park.
