SPEAKER_00 (00:42):
Hey Salon owners, today is not just another
episode.
Today is history in the making.
Because what we're talking aboutis something the beauty industry
has never had before.
It's not a class, it's not atechnique, it's not more
motivation.
It's actually a new category.

(01:04):
You know, a breakthrough no oneelse has built.
And if you've ever felt like, hmm, my team is good, but
they're not fully activated.
I know we could be moreconsistent.
We're close to greatness, butwe're not there yet, then lean
in because what we're launchingisn't incremental, it's actually

(01:27):
revolutionary, and you're earlyenough to be a part of it.

SPEAKER_01 (01:32):
Yeah, see, most of the industry keeps teaching the

same old thing (01:36):
technique, more technique, a little marketing,
more technique.
You know, but if technique alonecreated success, every stylist
would be wealthy.
But we both know that's not truebecause success doesn't come
from skill alone, it comes fromidentity, communication, sales

(02:01):
psychology, guest experience,and alignment.
And no one is teachingteam-based salons how to create
that identity intentionallyuntil now.
Million Dollar Beauty Pro is notabout adding more work, it's
about changing the Beauty Procompletely.

(02:25):
Not incremental growth, but anexponential shift.

SPEAKER_00 (02:31):
So here's the real breakthrough.
You know, booth runners cannotbe successful because they
operate as individuals.
Let me say that again becauseit's so good.
You know, booth runners cannotbe successful because they
operate as individuals, butteam-based salons succeed
through multiplication andcreating an environment where

(02:51):
people win.
You know, one forces or onegrows through force.
You think, okay, what is force,Jin?
Force is power made operativeagainst resistance.
And so force is exhausting, youguys.
Force is survival, force ispressure.
Booth rent is built on oneperson doing a hundred percent

(03:16):
of the work.
You know, you force yourself tofind every client, you force
yourself to book everyappointment, you force yourself
to manage your own marketing, you force yourself to build or
buy your own color, you forceyourself to create systems
you've never been trained tobuild, you force yourself to,
you know, handle complaints, cancellations, and pricings, and

(03:36):
you force yourself to stayproductive even on your worst
days.
So booth rent is literally, listen up, you versus the world.
You survive because of force, but your energy, your
motivation, your grind, yourhustle, and the moment you stop

(03:57):
pushing, your income actuallydrops.
That is truly force.

SPEAKER_01 (04:04):
Yeah, man, that's so good when you think about that,
Jen, how forceful it is, youknow, because the opposite of
that would be, you know, howteam-based salons operate, and
that's that they grow throughpower.
And you might be thinking, whatis power?
But power is the ability orcapacity to act or do something

(04:26):
effectively.
Whew, that's good.
The ability or capacity to actor do something effectively.
You know, power truly is thesystem that supports you.
Power is ease, power ismomentum, power is
multiplication, and team-basedsalons run on systems which

(04:53):
create shared marketing, sharedreputation, shared demand,
shared education, shared growth, shared guest experience, shared
problem solving, shared support, and a structure that continues
whether one person is having abad day or not.
And power means you're pluggedinto a machine that multiplies

(05:16):
your effort.
If you take a vacation, powerkeeps your schedule full.
If you're having an off week, power still drives referrals.
If you're learning, poweraccelerates your skill, your
confidence, and really youroverall growth.
And team-based salons usesystems, processes, leadership,

(05:39):
mentorship, brands, their brandidentity, you know, data to move
you further with less strain.
That's power.
You know, booth rent is aforce-based model.
You push, you get results.
You stop pushing, everythingstops.

(06:01):
And a team-based salon is apower-based model.
The systems, the brand, theleadership, that is the engine.
So when you plug into thatengine, everything multiplies,
you know, and this programfinally gives team-based salons

(06:21):
the multiplier.

SPEAKER_00 (06:25):
So good.
I got chills just witheverything you just said,
Lindsay.
It was so good, you know.
Because if you truly think aboutit, this program is going to
help service providers seeclearly why commission salon is
more powerful.
Say what?
Isn't that so cool?
Like they make more moneytogether.
The guest gets a betterexperience together.

(06:47):
Growth compounds, compoundstogether, you know, and for the
first time, service providerswill feel it, they'll understand
it, and they'll actually buy in.
Not because you ask them to, butbecause they experience the
truth of it themselves.
You know, there is a law in theuniverse.
Um, when something isn'tintentionally developed, it
actually declines.

(07:07):
It's called the law of entropy.
And it's why salon cultureslowly erodes.
Why standards slip, why serviceproviders drift, or why good
team members plateau, and whybooth renters seem attractive,
or booth renting seemsattractive too, until it
collapses under isolation.

(07:29):
No growth, decline starts, noleadership, chaos creeps in, no
development, confidence fades.
You know, that's why Drum BroMillion Dollar Beauty Pro is the
antidote to entropy.
You know, it gives your teamstructure, identity, direction,
activation, and it stops theslow decline and replaces it

(07:53):
with this unstoppable momentum.
Because when people grow, thebusiness grows.
And when the business grows, everyone wins.

SPEAKER_01 (08:03):
So good, you know, and and let's be real for a
moment.
You know, there's one thingquietly killing salons, and
that's that complacency isdisguised as comfort.
You know, it's like when astylist thinks, I know enough,

(08:25):
or when owners think we're doingfine, or when no one is hungry
for better.
Jen, it's just what you weretalking about with the law of
entropy, because entropy doeswhat entropy always does, and
the salon slowly, silentlyslides backward.

(08:48):
But leaders who choose growth, they break that pattern, you
know, and teams who rise inskill, they break that pattern,
and cultures built oncommunication and competence,
they're the ones who break thatpattern.
And Million Dollar Beauty Prowas created to replace

(09:09):
complacency with capability.

SPEAKER_00 (09:15):
So good.
So I was thinking about we'veI've had the opportunity to
launch Million Dollar Beauty Proin our salon.
And um, we just had a successstory the other day from one of
our stylists.
Shout out to Alize, one of ourservice providers, Beauty Pros.
Um, she just she's one of ournew level one um service
providers or beauty pros.
And she had just watched thePixie Cut lesson inside the

(09:36):
portal during some of herdowntime.
And she came to me and ran theoffice.
And the next day, she said, Jen,you'll never believe it.
Guess what showed up on my booksthe next day?
And I was like, What?
Tell me all about it.
She's like, a pixie appointment.
And you know, if you've cut hairbefore, the pixie makes you want
to run out the front door, usually when you first started
cutting hair.
And she said, But guess what?

(09:57):
It was the best pixie I've everdone.
And she said, I finally feltconfident.
You know, I felt like I had thisroadmap.
So you guys imagine if yourwhole team had breakthroughs
like that weekly.
You know, another serviceprovider in our team, her name's
Laura.
Um, I saw her walk to the backroom, and she had two full
notebook pages full of um thelaw of polarity lesson.

(10:21):
And I asked her, I said, Laura, what did you learn?
And she she got on her notes.
She was so excited because ifyou know Laura, she's not your
normal note taker.
Uh she said, um, I finallyunderstand that my beliefs come
from what I choose to focus onthe problem or the possibility.
And it's like her mind hadexpanded, her responsibility
expanded, her power hadexpanded.

(10:44):
And it's just been so incredibleto see these wins.

SPEAKER_01 (10:48):
Jen, that is so amazing.
Great job to both of those umbeautiful people on your team.
It really makes me think ofRiley on um our team here.
We also got the opportunity tolaunch Million Dollar Beauty Pro
in the salon just reallyrecently.
And it was Riley's, I think itwas like her fourth shift behind

(11:09):
the chair.
Um, and you know, she watched atraining video and sold$350
worth of retail in one shift.
I mean, the joy on her face whenshe um was talking about it.
It was on a Saturday that thathappened, and on Monday, she was

(11:30):
just so excited.
That was like one of the firstthings.
Um, I actually overheard hertelling um her co-stylist that
that had happened.
And I was like, tell me allabout it, you know.
And we were really excited andgot to celebrate her in our in
our huddle that morning.
But the reason why this happenedwas not by force, you guys.
It was truly by power.

(11:52):
And this is not normal traininginside of this program.
This is transformation.
And here's the crazy part that'sjust the beginning.
Like we're just in thebeginning, and we're getting
ready to have a launch party.
And guess what?
You're invited.
And at the launch party, we'rerevealing why most salons

(12:16):
plateau and how to shatter theceiling, and the psychology
behind effortless sales, and thewords that increase pre-booking
without trying, and whycommissioned salons outperform
booth rent long term.
We're also revealing the hiddenidentity upgrade that changes

(12:36):
everything, and how to activatean entire team and not just have
one superstar.
We're also going to go over thebreakthrough strategy for
eliminating inconsistencyforever.
And trust me, you do not want tomiss these.
You know, some of the thingsthat we're dropping haven't

(12:59):
never been taught publiclybefore.

SPEAKER_00 (13:03):
So if you want to lead the next era of salon
growth, not follow the old one.
And if you want to build a teamof power, not pressure, of
confidence, not chaos, ofprofessionals, not technicians,
then you need to be at thelaunch party.
So text launch l-a-u-n-c to469-283-5590.

(13:32):
Again, that's 469-283-5590.
And we'll send you the launchparty registration, their free
launch kit, early accesssurprises, and more.
We haven't even announced yet.
And so if your heart said yes, even a little, follow it.

(13:53):
If you felt possibility open, step towards it.
And if you know your salon ismeant for more, act now.
Again, text launch to 469 2835283 5590.
Because entropy ends here, youguys.
Growth begins here, and themillion dollar era of your salon

(14:17):
starts now.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
