SPEAKER_01 (00:00):
I want you to
imagine waking up one day and
realizing you're no longer in ademocracy.
That laws are no longer writtenfor you, but for an ideology.
I'm Christy Chanel.
This isn't a history seminar ordry lecture.
This is us looking in the mirrorat what's happening now and why
(00:24):
it matters.
And how we stop it before welose everything we believe in.
Today we're going deeper.
It's not just who's dangerous, but why people fall into these
ideologies.
We're gonna pull back thecurtain on Christian
nationalism, Project 2025, farright movement, and yes, even
(00:46):
the extremes on the left willland with what's happening right
now, the generals being calledtogether, rumors of mass
firings, missing immigrants, andwhat's already been enacted.
If you're here because you'rescared, confused, or just done
feeling powerless, keeplistening.
(01:07):
This one's for you.
I'm Christy Chanel, and this isSassy Politics.
(01:28):
I'm Christy Chanel.
Today we're going deep insidethe extremist mind.
Not to excuse them, not tocoddle them, but to understand
how people get radicalized, whythey believe the world needs to
burn, and why that matters toall of us.
This is not a school lecture.
This is real life.
(01:49):
If you're nervous or scared, youare not alone at all.
I am too.
I'm here to help make sense ofthis and give you ways to act.
Why this episode?
Because if you've been watchingheadlines and thinking, how did
we get here?
(02:09):
This episode is for you.
This isn't about shaming people.
It's about opening eyes towhat's happening, especially
Project 2025, and how theseextremist ideas are creeping
into our government right now.
People don't wake up hateful.
(02:30):
Extremism builds economicstress, social isolation,
humiliation, a hunger forbelonging.
These are the cracks thatextremist recruiters fill.
They whisper, you're not theproblem they are.
And once you see your neighboras the enemy, violence starts to
(02:50):
feel like justice.
Across every group we're aboutto talk about, that's the core
pattern.
Fear plus alienation plus anenemy to blame equals
justification for harm.
Christian nationalism andProject 2025.
This is the most mainstream formof extremism shaping our
(03:16):
politics right now.
Christian nationalism.
It's the belief that America wasfounded as a Christian nation
and must be restored to one.
For many leaders, Christiannation is a code for white
conservative Christiandominance.
It's not new.
(03:37):
It grew from the 1980s moralmajority and backlash to civil
rights reform.
Under Trump, it gained rocketfuel.
Today, it's institutionalizedthrough groups like the Heritage
Foundation.
I know you have heard that grouprepeatedly.
(03:57):
They are the very people behindProject 2025.
You know, the one that Trumpsaid he knew nothing about.
(04:19):
Project 2025 is their blueprintto shift the entire federal
government into Christiannationalist hands.
Hundreds of objectives, keyarchitects already appointed
inside the government, federalgrants and loans paused in line
with its agenda.
Executive orders echoing itsproposals.
(04:42):
It's happening quietly, but it'shappening.
Psychologically, Christiannationalism offers certainty.
It says the world used to begood and it can be again, but
only if we take it back fromthem.
That's intoxicating to someonefeeling lost or angry.
(05:04):
It gives purpose.
It sanctifies discrimination.
Social media supercharged thisideology.
Podcasts, YouTube shows, TikToksreaching millions of young
people.
Leaders like Charlie Kirk wrapidentity politics and grievance
(05:25):
in a religious mission.
When faith and politics merge, compromise stops feeling
possible.
January 6th was proof of that.
Once you see Christiannationalism at the center, the
other movements make sense.
First in line of our extremistgroups is techno-authoritarians.
(05:47):
Democracy is inefficient.
They want a CEO king, funded bybillionaires.
Then we have accelerationistsand groipers.
That one I heard when CharlieKirk was assassinated.
They believe collapse must comefaster so a white Christian
state can emerge.
Boogaloo Boys.
(06:08):
They are openly prepping for acivil war.
Some have been arrested forterror plots and murder.
Last, we have black pillnihilists.
They feel life is meaningless, progress is a lie.
Many are incels radicalizedonline who've actually committed
mass murders.
(06:29):
I can't talk about the rightextremism without speaking about
the left.
Much smaller but real.
Anarchist sabotage.
Radical eco-groups burning labsor developments.
Antifa aligned assaults.
These acts escalate fear andpolarization.
Different flavors, samepsychology, alienation,
(06:51):
grievance, belonging, enemyjustification.
This isn't theoretical.
Worshipers murdered insynagogues.
Black churchgoers killed inCharleston.
Women targeted in yoga studios.
Police plotted against.
Government workers threatened.
(07:12):
Each attack creates a ripple.
Fear, polarization, new lawsrestricting everyone's freedoms.
Why we can't look away.
Ignoring extremism won't make itgo away.
It thrives in the dark.
(07:33):
Understanding gives us power.
Power to intervene early, powerto vote with clarity, power to
talk with people before they'relost.
Here's what we know and what wedon't.
On Tuesday, September 30th,Defense Secretary Pete Hegsit
has called over 800 generals andadmirals together.
(07:55):
No clear reason given.
Speculation ranges from pledgingallegiance to a leader over the
Constitution to mass firings.
We'll definitely be watching.
A government shutdown looms.
The president reportedly toldRepublicans not to negotiate
with Democrats.
Threats of mass firings ofDemocrats have been floated if a
(08:18):
shutdown does occur.
Verification is incomplete, butthe fact that it's being said is
alarming.
On Truth Social, the presidenthas posted that security forces
can go at civilians, protestersopposing ICE with full force.
There are also reports of 1,200immigrants missing from
(08:41):
Alligator Alcatraz.
We don't yet have credibleconfirmation, but if it's true,
it's a human rights crisis.
We'll keep tracking.
We don't know everything yet,but we do know pieces of Project
2025 are already being enacted.
The blueprint is nottheoretical, it's influencing
(09:03):
policy today.
This is why I built the activistchain.
We're kicking into high gear.
I now have an IT person ready tohelp us get on Signal and
Discord so we have a secureplace to talk.
Amplifiers and shields are ourlifeline.
Amplifiers spread the messagewhen information is being
(09:23):
suppressed.
Shields protect the peoplesending it behind the scenes,
making sure our community stayssafe.
Email me at Christie atactivistchain.com.
(09:44):
It will be in the show notes.
Tell me where you are.
Tell me you're interested inbecoming a part of the
city-to-city, state-to-state,grassroots community system.
We're building this now becausewe can't wait until after the
next crisis hits.
We prepare before, not after.
Inside the extremist mind isn'ta place you want to stay, but we
(10:08):
have to look at it long enoughto understand how dangerous it
is and how to stop it fromspreading.
Stay curious.
Keep paying attention, stayawake, and mostly stay human.
Empathy is a superpower, not aweakness.
(10:29):
Join the activist chain.
Let's get activated.
Okay.
Let's start a revolution, baby.
