šŸŽ™ļø Female Friday | Sassy Politics with Christi Chanelle

Release Date: 04/19/25

šŸ”„ Episode Summary:
"I'm not here to be easy, I'm here to be free." If that line hit you in the gut, this episode is for you.

On this week’s Female Friday, we’re tearing off the layers of performative ā€œnicenessā€ and stepping fully into the power of being seen, heard, and unapologetically ourselves. Because it’s not about getting louder—it’s about getting clearer. Visibility isn’t vanity. Boundaries aren’t betrayal. And truth? Truth is sacred.

This episode is your permission slip to stop shrinking and start speaking—even when your voice shakes. Especially when it shakes. I’m sharing what it really feels like to post through the fear, set boundaries without guilt, and honor your voice like the sacred fire it is.

✨ Your rage, your healing, your story—it’s all activism.
✨ Your realness is more powerful than perfection.
✨ And no, sis, you’re not too much—you’re finally just enough for yourself.

Because the news should come with a trigger warning. Each week, we break down the chaotic headlines that made us scream ā€œWTF?!ā€ and unpack the madness with clarity, compassion, and just the right amount of sass.

šŸ’ Plus, catch Woke-ish Wednesday

The softer, deeper side of resistance—this midweek moment is for the journal entries, emotional truths, and quiet clarity that fuels everything we do. It’s your permission to feel, reflect, and rise.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Have you ever realized you spent most of your
life trying to be digestible, palatable, easy to love, easy to
work with, easy to ignore, andthen one day it hits you.
I'm not here to be easy, I'mhere to be free.
Today, on Female Friday, we'rebreaking down the silence of
what it really means to live inyour truth on purpose.

(00:23):
After years of trying to makeyourself small for other
people's comfort, let's get intoit.
I'm Christy Chanel and this isSassy Politics the power they
never saw coming.

(00:44):
Let's talk about what happenswhen a woman stops performing
and starts owning her voice, notbecause she got louder, but
because she got clearer, morehonest and more rooted.
And that clarity that's whatscares them.
We've been told for too long toplay nice, make it easy and

(01:05):
stay in line, but there comes amoment when something inside you
says no more, and when thatmoment hits, everything changes.
This isn't about being seenagain.
It's about being undeniable now, choosing power over permission
.
Some of us spend years askingfor permission to take up space

(01:29):
in boardrooms, in relationships,in our own bodies, but that
ends now this phase of life.
It's about choosing yourself, even when it costs you comfort,
family approval or the illusionof safety.
I'm learning that every boundaryI set, every post I write,

(01:51):
every truth I speak comes with alittle grief, but it also comes
with freedom.
And the freedom.
She's loud, she's real andshe's sacred.
Visibility isn't vanity, it'spower.
We've been trained to thinkwanting to be seen is ego.
But here's the truth when womenshow up unapologetically, we

(02:16):
shift culture.
Visibility is activism.
Your story is activism.
Your wrinkles, your voice, yourrage, your healing, all of it
is sacred and I want to behonest about this.
Every time I sit down to recorda video, I feel it, that
self-doubt creeps in, that voicethat whispers what will people

(02:39):
think of me?
And it gets even louder when Iknow people who know me Friends,
family, old co-workers, currentco-workers.
They might see it, but I postit anyway, because if I let fear
drive, I stay small, and Ididn't come this far to stay
quiet.
So, no, you're not too much, you're not behind, you're not

(03:03):
invisible, you're rising, gaining your power for real.
This time there's a moment, sometimes quiet and sometimes
gut-wrenching, when you realizeyou've stepped into your power,
and not just any power yourpower, the kind that's been
waiting for you to remember whoyou are.

(03:26):
Mine came in pieces, inmistakes, in wrong turns that
turned into right places, intears, in triumphs.
But now I see it.
Every misstep was the map, every heartbreak, every job that
didn't work out, every closeddoor, it all led me here.
The question is, when?
Opportunity that didn't workout, every closed door, it all

(03:46):
led me here.
The question is when opportunitybecomes part of your path, what
do you do with it?
You show up, even if you'reshaking, even if you're standing
alone.
You look back at everycrossroad, not with regret but
with reverence, because somehow, even in your most lost moments,

(04:08):
you are becoming, and I knownow, without a doubt, that my
mother was building me for this.
Every word of love, every ounceof confidence she poured into
me, she was equipping me for aworld that would try to silence
me, and maybe that's why ithurts so deeply now as members
of my family shrink away, ashamed of what I say.

(04:31):
But her voice is louder, herlove echoes louder, and because
of that, so do I.
This is our era.
You don't need a rebrand, youdon't need to shrink, you don't
need to start over.
You just need to show up as youlouder, clearer and truer than

(04:53):
ever, because the world doesn'tneed more polished perfection.
It needs more real womentelling the truth and not
backing down.
The truth and not backing down.
And that, my friends, is ourassignment.
If this episode lit a fire inyou, fan it, share it, talk
about it, build with other womenwho refuse to be quiet.

(05:16):
And before you go, I want toleave you with a few questions.
What is holding you back fromstepping into your power?
Who are you still seekingapproval from, and why?
What would you say or do iffear wasn't calling the shots?
And, most importantly, whatwould your younger self thank

(05:40):
you for finally doing?
This is Female Friday.
I'm Christy Chanel and we'renot fading.
We are just getting started.
Love you, miss you, bye, bye.
