Save My Thyroid: Healing Tips for Hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's

If you have hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease, toxic multinodular goiter, etc.) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis and are looking to do everything to save your thyroid gland, then the Save My Thyroid podcast is for you! Dr. Eric Osansky DC, IFMCP is the host, as he personally was diagnosed with Graves' disease in 2008 and was able to get into remission taking a natural approach. He created this podcast to help others with hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's save their thyroid and regain their health. If you have hyperthyroidism then pretty much all of the episodes will benefit you, and if you have Hashimoto's you'll benefit from most of the guest expert episodes, as well as some of the "solo" episodes. The reason there is more of a focus on hyperthyroidism is because all of the other thyroid-related podcasts focus mostly on hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's, and since Dr. Eric personally dealt with Graves' disease he wanted this podcast to focus more on hyperthyroidism, although it will still offer plenty of value to those with hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's. Dr. Eric Osansky lives in Matthews NC with his wife, 2 daughters, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs! He has been a practitioner for 20+ years, and has focused on helping people with thyroid and autoimmune thyroid conditions since 2009.

In this episode, I’m joined by Dr. Scott Sherr to explain why energy dysfunction is so common in chronic illness, and how methylene blue is being used clinically to support mitochondrial function, oxidative stress balance, and detoxification.

There’s a point where labs, diet, and protocols stop explaining why symptoms linger and that’s where this episode begins.

Healing doesn’t always stall because the body lacks the right nutrients or protocol. Sometimes it’s because the brain and nervous system are still holding unresolved trauma. Dr. Louise Swartswalter explains how neurobiofeedback and trauma release work can influence regulation, resilience, and the body’s ability t...

If gut cleanses are supposed to help with different health conditions, why do so many people feel worse or unchanged?

Gut cleanses, detoxes, and parasite protocols are often positioned as the missing piece for autoimmune thyroid conditions, but the results don’t always match the promise. This conversation breaks down what people really mean when they say “gut cleanse,” where these approaches can be helpful, and why focusing only on ...

If your body hasn’t been cooperating lately, you might be relieved to hear why that’s more common and more fixable than you think.

What happens when even surgery and supplements can’t get a broken bone to heal?

When Dr. Ben Weitz fractured his femur and was told it might never heal, he turned to the same principles he’s used with patients for decades: ‘root cause, functional medicine’ thinking. In this conversation, he shares how he designed a bone-healing protocol that combined targeted nutrition, vitamin K2 and vitamin D optimization, growth factors, and the ...

Far too many people are living with misdiagnosed Graves’ or ignored hyperthyroidism and they don’t even know it yet.

I’ve heard and read countless cases of people who were told their fatigue, anxiety, or rapid heartbeat were ‘just stress’, only to later learn that their thyroid was the real issue. Too often, hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease are missed because doctors rely on limited testing or dismiss subtle symptoms. <...

Some, if not many, roadblocks behind thyroid healing have a covert driver that only a few doctors ask about: unresolved trauma.

Trauma can keep the nervous system in a constant state of high alert, which may cause the immune system to remain overactive and antibodies to stay elevated. Even if you’re eating well, supporting your gut, and managing stress today, past trauma can still influence how your body responds.

This doesn’t mean ...
