Picture this: you're trying to enjoy the excitement of a Vikings vs. LA Rams game without stumbling upon spoilers on social media. That's exactly the dilemma DW, aka the Diddy Waitlist, faces in our latest episode. As we chat about sports and ponder the hilarity of potential future episodes featuring our spouses, we also navigate the lighter side of sports fandom, complete with DW's playful banter with his wife about post-broadcast game surprises. It's a balancing act between the thrill of real-time sports and life in the digital age, and we promise plenty of laughs along the way.

Switching gears, we welcome Cindy, a former casino industry veteran turned haunted house owner, who shares her unexpected journey from the lively streets of Las Vegas to the eerie, ghost-laden halls of Ohio. Initially skeptical about the supernatural (thanks to her dad’s ghostly cautions), Cindy found herself in a world of paranormal discoveries that led to opening her house for investigations. She offers a peek into the history and haunting tales of Ross House, and her entrepreneurial spirit shines through as she talks about transforming spooky experiences into a thriving business.

Get ready for some spine-tingling tales as Cindy recounts her chilling encounters with spirits, especially a particularly pesky one named Alfred. From mysterious touches and strange noises in her escape room to unsettling ghostly interactions at home, Cindy's stories are as thrilling as they are terrifying. But it's not all bumps in the night; we also share lighter moments, including a humorous run-in with "Bad Benny" and a fun questionnaire that reveals Cindy's ties to Las Vegas. Whether you're a fan of ghost stories or curious about the haunted Ross House, this episode promises an entertaining and eerie escape into the paranormal.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
What's going on?
This is scolarius, I am johnolsen and with me, as always, is
dw, the diddy waitlist, sereneoh, hang on, oh shoot, there we
go, okay, all right, come on,man.
That was a good diddy waitlist.
That's a waitlist I wouldn'twant to be on dw I'm telling you
I don't pay attention to thoseanymore that was.

(01:49):
That was.
That was excellent.
That was a really good one.
That one made me laugh a lot, like a lot, not right now, but
earlier when I was thinking ofit.
Okay, as long as one personleft you on the.
It's still not comedy if onlyone person come come on, man,
you, you escaped the flight, logyou, whatever, oh yeah.

(02:15):
So how's it going, buddy?

Speaker 4 (02:17):
it's going good.
Um, now we uh, we should, or atleast I should point out that
we're recording this during avery important game, and so if I
suddenly seem very interestedin the podcast, it means that my

(02:38):
home team has scored.
I'm not actually excited aboutanything that happened here,
okay, so all right.
Well, if I if I go, oh my gosh,um, no, I'm, in all seriousness,
I am paying attention, um, so II'm just trying to to multitask

(02:59):
because I'm I'm very interestedin the game and, uh, I don't
know.
And I'll say this Sometimes Ido have a it's not a TiVo, but
it's a video recording device.
Sometimes I will watch the gameand record the game and watch
it later, you know, and not hearthe score and stuff like that.

(03:20):
I have found, though, thatrecently, with social media and
everything, it is so hard to notknow the score of a game,
especially a game like this, tonot know the outcome of a game,
because it's just all over theplace.
So it's really hard to likeback in the old days, the old

(03:44):
days, all you had to do was notwatch the news or listen to the
radio and you knew that you'd beOK.
Nowadays, like, people post onFacebook, you know their
reaction to the outcome.
So, like, even people whoaren't even sports fans will
post reactions and stuff likethat.

(04:05):
So I just feel like nowadaysit's really hard to um to I
don't know what the term is I'mlooking for shield yourself from
knowing who won so exactly,it's kind of like uh spoilers in
movies, essentially in a way.
In a way, yeah, I also feel likesometimes, though, even if I

(04:29):
know the score, I'll still goback and watch it, because if it
turns out the game was like 33to 34 or something, it's like,
oh, that was close, I bet youthat was a good game to watch.
Or if I hear that, oh, it wentinto overtime, or there was this
big play at the very end thatwon the whole thing, I might
watch it then, even though Iknow who wins.

(04:50):
But anyway, I think and theother thing is like for this
game in particular I want toknow so badly.
It's going to be hard to waitthat long to find out.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Well, you'll be able to check it, as we're going
through long to find out.
You'll be able to check it.
As we're going through, I'msure I'll be able to check it.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
So every once in a while you can say, hey, dw, you
listening, and I'll be like, uh,hang on, not really.
Yeah, okay, now I am yeah, allright.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
So just so everybody knows, uh, this right now this
episode is going to be released.
Obviously, as you're hearingthis, it's January 22nd, but as
we're recording it, it is duringthe Vikings and the LA Rams
wildcard game.
So that is why DW is, you know,he's kind of on edge right now.

(05:38):
But as you're hearing this, either A the Rams have won or B
the Vikings have won, and theyhave either A gone on to beat
the Philadelphia Eagles or Bthey have gone on to lose to the
Philadelphia Eagles.
So, as you're listening to thisright now, either the Vikings

(06:02):
are on their way to the nfcchampionship or they have been
home for two weeks and um, yeah, fair to say.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Well, and here's, here's the thing, here's the
joke my wife always does.
She's like oh, do you want toknow who won?
The team that scored the mostpoints and she likes to do that
to me, you know, and there.
It is a surprise visit from mrsserene so I don't know if we'll
ever get her on the show.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
I'm not sure you never know, like we, we've
always talked about doing thewhole like subscription thing
and having the betrothals on.
So you know it, it's a uh, it'sa possibility.
We could probably do this.
But I have to say, I have tosay some things.
Do you have a?

Speaker 4 (06:50):
number one do you have a legal disclaimer?

Speaker 3 (06:55):
I don't have a legal disclaimer I don't because
people have been very, very, Iguess, patient with me, because
they know that I'm able to saywhatever and I'm not cancelled
yet.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
So that's a good thing, um don't say it like that
, because I'm co-hosting too, sothen I won't have a podcast.
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
And, and obviously it is getting us work.
So, uh, but anyway, um, acouple of things I wanted to uh
bring up Number one.
Number one is, as you'rehearing this, you, we may or may
not have a tick tock, justactually tick tock may or may
not even exist, ok, so it's thetruth.

(07:36):
That's, that's what it is.
So we're going to start doing alot more on Instagram, so we'll
get to that part in just aminute, but I do want to.
I did want to bring that up andsay that.
Number two is this is ascolarius first, and what I mean
by a scolarius first is ascolarius first, and that is
this.
I am completely 100% sober.

(07:59):
Um, okay, wait, hold on, maybethis is going.
Yeah, all yeah, all right.
Yeah, thc stays in your systemfor 30 days, so probably not 100
sober, but I have not have notused any thc products prior to
this recording, and I am notdrinking a thc soda today.

(08:19):
I'm actually just drinking asparkling ice caffeine.
So, um, I got a couple of themnext to me and that's that's
kind of what I'm going.
So that's a first right andprobably a last, to be fair I
was gonna say what's wrong withyou uh, nothing.
I just I didn't really feel ittoday, so not a big deal.
Some days I don't feel it, andtoday's one of them.

(08:40):
Um, another really cool thinguh, I'm sure that everybody who
listens to this podcast hasheard of the tiger king, right?
probably okay, so I don't knowif this is known or whatever,
but but zach baggins, our goodbuddy zach, zach baggins and his

(09:05):
crew did in, did an episode onthe gw zoo um a couple years
back I think it was during thepandemic, I believe.
Um, well, anyway, anyway, Idecided, you know we heard from

(09:26):
like Jeff Lowe and his wife orwhatever, lauren on there, and
you heard from Zach and Aaronand all that stuff on there, but
you know there's never beenanything from Joe Exotic himself
.
Okay, yeah.
So your boy, you know yourfavorite of the co-ghosts, john.

(09:47):
He decided he was going toemail good old Joe Exotic.
And well, let's just say thisthere is a possibility if, if we
can get through all the legalramifications and everything

(10:08):
because he is in federal prison, that scolarius will have the
tiger king himself, joe exoticon scolarius so if he's still in
prison, does that mean our mean, our episode will have to be
limited to like whatever hislength is the phone call length,

(10:32):
I think is like 20 minutes orsomething like that.
So his guest appearance will be20 minutes and me and you are
just going to have to do therest of it, and I think we will
have zero problem with that.
So he's done documentary afterdocumentary.
Have zero problem with that.
So he's done documentary afterdocumentary and um yeah, so
fingers crossed, guys.
Fingers crossed as today isjanuary 22nd as you're listening

(10:55):
to this, fingers crossed thatyou know we will have the tiger
king on scolarius in the nearfuture.
I thought that was pretty cool.
As you know, I had thoughtabout reaching out to Stormy
Daniels, but I felt that JoeExotic would be a lot more fun.

(11:16):
So just saying anyway.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
I don't know, you know it'd be, you know it'd be
interesting.
What's that?
Maybe stormy daniels has somedeal where she can only be on
for like a half hour, so do adouble episode of first 20
minutes tiger king and then 30minutes stormy daniels.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
You never know, we'll see.
We'll see what kind of magic.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
And then 10 minutes of Betrothed going gosh.
That was a freaking mistake.
Why did you?
Why?

Speaker 3 (11:57):
did I let you do that ?
No, she would never do that.
You never know.
Let's see what kind of magicgood old John can pull out of
his sleeve.
Let's see.
Let's see what kind of magicgood old john can pull out of
his sleeve.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Huh, let's, let's see , let's see, let's see what we
could do.
It's the most unsettling thingI've ever heard you say that's
not the most unsettling you'veheard way worse.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Yeah, that's true, all right, so you know I I
alluded to it a little bitearlier that tiktok might be
going away, and if it does goaway, don't worry.
Don't worry, there is stillseveral places where you can
find us where you can seriously, and one of them, especially if

I'm just saying.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
First time for everything, hey, yeah, Maybe,
maybe, all right.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
So, dw, I know you want to watch a game and that's
cool, but you know we still haveparanormal and comedy business
to attend to.
All right, we do so.
With that being said, I justwant to say our our guest this
week, this I think this ispretty awesome.
A few weeks back, we had aguest on who owned a haunted

(14:16):
house that was rented out to umpeople to investigate, and
that's the Boyd house in in BoydMinnesota.
Right, yeah, but now we'regoing to I can't even say it's
the east coast and, first of all, it's not the midwest either.
I don't care.
Ohio, indiana and Michigan arenot the midwest.

(14:39):
You know why they're not themidwest?
Because they're an hour earlierthan us and that means that
they're on the eastern side, which means which means or an
hour later.
Technically, anyway, it doesn'tmatter.
They're on the east, so they'reover there.
And this place, this place isin bel-air, ohio, and it is a

(15:01):
haunted attraction that I wantto know all the info on and you
guys want to hear the info on.
So, with that being said, Iwould like to introduce to you
our guest this week, cindy Kuhn, from the Ross House in good old

(15:24):
Bel Air, ohio.
Cindy, how are you doing today?

Speaker 5 (15:29):
I'm doing pretty good , enjoying what you guys are
talking about.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Yeah, we're pretty good.
I think we're kind of funny ina way.
I mean, I would hope so.
It's kind of our gig.

Speaker 5 (15:42):
Well, that's good, I like it.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
That's good.
So I have to ask you this how'sthe weather in ohio today?

Speaker 5 (15:52):
it sucks, it just sucks.
It's colder than shit it.
You know you're looking at 20,some degrees, 30 degrees.
You know I'm not a I'm not ahappy winter person.
I'll, I'll tell you that.
So I'm just counting down thedays to spring uh, we are
currently at six.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
We're at six degrees and I think the wind chill is
several degrees below.
So it is it's cold, it's verycold yeah, that's a big hell.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
No, there.
I spent many years in Vegas, living in Vegas, so this is,
just you know, not a good thingright now.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
All right.
Well, I mean, you're kind of,in a way, leading the way a
little bit.
So with that, I mean you livedin Vegas, now you're in Ohio.
So how did you get there?
Why did you get there and, mostimportantly, what made you
purchase a haunted house?

Speaker 5 (16:50):
Well, I actually did not purchase a haunted house,
you have to understand.
I was born and raised in BelAir, I was in the casino
business and the casino businesstakes you a lot of different
places and I ended up moving toLas Vegas from, you know, for
many, many years and I stayedthere until my husband passed

(17:13):
away and then I came back hereto the Ohio Valley to raise my
kids and I was in the casinobusiness actually for 46 years.
So that's pretty much all Iknew was that, although I still
call Vegas my hometown, that'swhere my buds are.
But anyway, so the house, basically, you have to

(17:39):
understand, my family has astore right next to the house
and we have used furniture inthe antique store and my dad
would was always into realestate, buying all houses around
the store and everything, butthis one particular house was
never up for sale and when thefinal owner passed away, that's

(18:04):
when my family purchased thisand that was in 1990.
So that's the actual beginningof the house.
But still, at that time in 1990, I was still living in Vegas,
but my dad actually used thishouse as a rental for quite a
while.
But there was a lot ofconstruction going on there and

(18:27):
people would come and go, they'dtear things up and, you know,
it became a mess and basically, after a while, my dad decided to
use it as a storage for anyfurniture that he would bring in
that he couldn, that hecouldn't sell.
Basically, uh, we buy out ofstates and, um, so people pass

(18:51):
away, we take on their furnitureand all their you know,
whatever belongings are left.
So in 2015, I asked my dad if Icould have the house, because I
like escape rooms and I wantedto start a business.
I was thinking you know, whatam I going to do once I retire?

(19:12):
Right, because I was startingto get up there in age a little
bit thinking about stuff.
But I do like escape rooms andat first my dad didn't want me
to have it and he, you know mydad would say Cindy, oh, you
don't want that house, there'sghosts in there that's how he
would say a ghost.
And anyway, I thought I wasjust bullshitty.

(19:33):
He just doesn't want me to messwith all of his stuff over
there.
He finally gave in let me havethe house.
And I had no idea about theparanormal.
Still don't understand a lot ofthis stuff.
Some of this stuff scares me alittle bit.
Some of this stuff I'm just notso sure about.
But I started to clean out thehouse in 2015 and things started

(19:58):
happening.
And I mean, I was just, I usedto just blow things off,
thinking I'm just hearing things.
I'm just, you know, I'm tiredbecause I work and I got to
clean out this place, get itready to open up for an escape
room, but then it became obviousthat there was issues in the
house and I had to, at thatpoint, call in and with help

(20:24):
with people that, uh, I hadheard about and uh, and one of
them was, uh, kristin lee, whoactually has another, has a
haunted house in bel-air, and,uh, she brought in a team which
I think, uh, steve humble mighthave been Okay At one point, I

(20:45):
think, he joined that team andcame up and they were trying to
help me out.
They investigated and tried toget me to understand what's
going on in that house and, boy,I guess I'm just old and
stubborn.
Oh, boy, I guess I'm just oldand stubborn.
You know, I tried to make youknow, make it work and, just,

(21:08):
you know, do what they said todo and everything.
And you know, eventually I'lljust fast forward just a little
bit.
But you know, escape Zone wasthere for six years and you know
, and we, we, things werehappening in that place the
entire time.
Um, and some people would askme, cindy, do you have plants in

(21:33):
that house?
Do you, you know, to makepeople?
You know, because escape roomsare are fun, but sometimes they
can be a little scary too.
Right, um, and we just got towhere escape zone had to move
out of there.
Um, you know, the area town'snot the best anymore and it's
actually in cambridge, ohio now, and, um, we were just going to

(21:56):
go ahead and use it, you know, for, you know, for furniture and
everything, and, um, the lady,uh, kristen, told me that I
should use it, you know, justopen up for full-time
investigations, and that's whatI ended up doing and that's, uh
was two and a half years ago and, uh, it's it's been interesting

(22:18):
, it's been very interesting.
Um, what can I say?
It's um, a lot of, a lot of.
I found out a lot of thingsabout the area, um, and about
why things happen.
Um, and I don't think it's justmy house that has activity.
I, I am, uh, I've come to thebelief that it's the land that

(22:45):
has is one of the reasons whythere's so much going on.
I do have some resident spiritsand people that have lived
there before and they've madethemselves known, and it seems
like the house also has a spiritby the name of Alfred, who
actually lived next door acrossthe street I should say not next

(23:07):
door across the street who hastaken up residence in the house,
and this spirit actually passedaway in 1925 in a coal mine two
miles down the road.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Oh, wow, yeah.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
Yeah, so it's been quite a ride, it's been very
interesting.
So it's been quite a ride, it'sbeen very interesting.
And it's things that I try to,I try to understand, you know,
and I will say this I've met alot of really great people with

(23:48):
when I go to greet them, becauseI try to make sure I'm there
every single time to let thesepeople in to greet them and talk
to them, and I always try, youknow, since I was an executive
host in a casino, I I like toget to get to know these people
and their history, what they'reabout, and I'll tell you there's
a big, I mean there's a bigvariation.
I mean it's just a lot ofdifferent people from different
backgrounds that are interestedin this stuff and, um, it's

(24:10):
crazy, it's, it's neat, it's, uh, it's fun, but, uh, I don't
actually investigate myself haveyou ever never wow just
my house just my just being, just my house, just my just
being in my house.
But at the same time, see, I'mjust not so sure and I'll tell
you why.
You know, you see so manypeople and I have people make

(24:37):
comments to me about beingscratched, about being.
I actually witnessed a lady whofelt like she was being stabbed
, and this woman wasn't puttingthis on, she was gray.
You know, I've I've just I'vewitnessed a lot happen here and

(24:58):
that makes me wonder what thehell is this?
You know that it can actuallyhurt somebody.
You know that it can actuallyhurt somebody and make them feel
the way they do.
I've had people bust out cryingand then I'm afraid to leave
them.
You know, I'm like God damnwhat the hell's going on here.

(25:18):
You know, so I have oh boy, Idon't quite understand
everything yet.
Well, I probably never will, but that's one of the reasons
Well, one of the few reasonsthat I don't investigate myself.
And another thing is I don'tlike being.
I mean a lot of these people.
They go out in cold weather andcemeteries and all that shit

(25:41):
and it's like, nah, I think I'llpass and cemeteries and all
that shit and it's like nah, Ithink I'll pass.
Yeah, I'm not a cold person.
I don't like to be cold, youknow, but my house is heated but
they have fun.
I mean, I, I just I had thebest time this past weekend with
some people who wanted to havea year in review party and I'll
tell you what it was a blast.

(26:02):
I stuck around for a little bitbefore they while they showed
their different places.
They went and you know, and Iand they did a thing where the
best evidence review, and it wasthey picked my place and a
certain thing that happened atmy place and but it was, you
know.
So I, I people, and I'm alwayshappy when they catch things.

(26:27):
You know, I can never promisethat these spirits will be
around at that time when they'rethere, but I always I hope they
are, you know.
Right.
But it seems like they're havinga good-ass time, you know, so
that makes me happy.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
That's good time, you know, so that makes me happy.
That's good.
What?
What do you think thepercentage is of times people
catch something, compared topeople going in there and
spending the night or whatever, not getting anything?

Speaker 5 (26:55):
It always gets something, except very, very
seldom does somebody walk out ofthere and say they didn't get
anything.
Very seldom, oh yeah, on myFacebook page, when I was
debating whether to open this upor not, I just started browsing

(27:15):
around and reading things aboutother people and and what some
of these investigators weresaying and, um, I decided number
one, that um, I, whateverhappens in that happens in that
house, okay, um, I'm going totell the truth, as I have been

(27:38):
finding out the truth by goingto the courthouse and everything
.
I'm never going to exaggerate.
I don't want to be caught inany lies.
So, with that, I just tell thepeople that what you see is what
you get.
I can't promise and I leave itat that.

(28:01):
I give them the history of thehouse, the owners, the spirits
that have been there.
If they want to know, I alwaysask them do they want to know or
do they want to go in blind?
And then I leave.
You know, but it's it's.
I just always give the truthand I can't promise nothing.
You know, but it's it's.
I just always give the truthand I can't promise nothing.

(28:22):
You know, but it's very seldom.
I think not very many block outwith hardly anything but what I
did do too I kind of got off.
Subject there a little bit iswhatever people I have in my
kitchen on the ross house I have, uh, dry erase boards and I ask

(28:45):
them, I and I tell each andevery one that that is my only
source of advertising.
And you know, I don't do thepaid facebook and all that.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Right.

Speaker 5 (28:57):
Horseshit, but I just do the.
You know whatever I said.
If you don't mind, write downwhat you catch, like when you
take a break, and when I comeback in, those boards are filled
, okay, the next day, and I takea snapshot of those boards and
I post them.
I don't add anything to them, Ipost exactly what they write,

(29:20):
okay, and that tells me thatthey're having a good time.
And that's my main concern andthat's what I want for them to
have a good time.
That's a really cool idea.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
That is a good idea.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
A very good idea, yeah, all right.
We're going to get down goodidea Very good idea.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Yeah, all right, we're going to get down to the
business side of this.
Okay, how much do you chargeper night?

Speaker 5 (29:48):
Okay, so you know I run a lot of specials, Okay, but
a normal night during the weekis $200, and that's up to five
people, five investigators.
Okay, On a Friday, a Saturdayor a Sunday, I charge $300 a

(30:09):
night, up to five investigators.
Now the house and I think fiveinvestigators is totally enough
for that house.
The house is not that big, it'snot a mansion, okay, it's a
regular three-bedroom house andthe house was built in 1895, so

(30:30):
there's not a lot of insulationin the house, right?
So you know you want to be ableto have a good investigation
without hearing each other.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Right, yeah, so now there is.
You want to be able to have agood investigation without
hearing each other.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
Right, yeah, now there is another side to this
Attached, believe it or not, attached by a door is the barn
furniture, okay, which is ourfamily business, and it is about
7,500 square foot, okay, andsometimes, if people have a big

(31:05):
team, we let them go in andinvestigate the store as well,
for an additional $200.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Wow, yeah.
Either way that's not bad,because if we're talking 300
bucks for five people, you'renot getting a hotel for that.
So I mean, and yeah, it's, it'suh, so what are the amenities
like there and what?
I don't mean like you know, turn down service or like, but

(31:36):
I'm just saying like, uh,obviously it's sort there like a
working fridge and stuff likethat you could put food in and
yes so there is, there's, thereis a kitchen in there.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
There, um, that you know, there's a kitchen in there
.
There's no stove in there, um,but there's a microwave, a hot
plate, a refrigerator, a freezer.
You know it's, it's a, it's akitchen, it's a.
It's a smaller kitchen, butit's a full kitchen.
There's a table in there.
I always have there's a Keurig.
I always leave coffee there.

(32:07):
There's always creamer tea bags.
You know sugar, you know sweetand low.
Well, you know, I always leavesoda water in the refrigerator
for them and some chips orwhatever I might have at the
time.
Sometimes I throw out cookiesor, you know, it just depends
Mostly chips and stuff like that, so they have something to

(32:29):
munch on.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Again, it's more than what you would get at a hotel.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Absolutely, oh yeah, absolutely.
I have some rules in the house.
I have a in I.
What I did was, before I got onhere, I put I put some pictures
of the house on my Facebookpage in a group so that if
anybody wants to go onto theRoss house page they can
actually see the house.

(32:55):
The house now.
The house is a work in progress.
Uh, it was an escape room twoand a half years ago, right, um,
and I have done redone the?
Uh downstairs, but I have notredone the upstairs yet.
So there's some areas that arestill real rough.
But they can go on there andlook and see.
I have took pictures ofeverything, I think, except for

(33:17):
the bathroom.
Do you have?

Speaker 4 (33:22):
heating, air conditioning, oh yeah, there's
heat.

Speaker 5 (33:24):
There's, there is heat in the winter time.
In the summertime I have windowair, so you know it's 24 7.
Uh, these people can check inas early as five o'clock.
Some of them that, um, you knowthey, if they get in town
earlier, because sometimes we'llget people to stay the whole
weekend and everything.
You know they, if they get intown earlier, because sometimes
we'll get people to stay thewhole weekend and everything.
You know.
If they want to come in earlier, that that's fine, I'll come
down earlier.

(33:45):
I live about 15 minutes away.
Um, so, yeah, they could stayin then they could investigate
all night.
There's, there's always freshbedding.
I have, uh, I have one full.
There's three bedrooms.
One of the rooms has a fullsize bed and the other two rooms
have twins, but there's alsoblow up mattresses if they need

(34:05):
them in that.
So, yeah, and there's alwaysfresh bedding.
You know you could sleep there.
You can actually sleep there.
You don't have to worry aboutanything like that.
You know it's kept clean.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
I mean, that was my, that was was my first thought.
When you mentioned how old thehouse was, I was like, okay
there, they probably didn't havecentral air when it was built.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
So stay there when it's hot.
So right, yeah, so I, you knowI got about five air, uh window
air units that I run in the inthe summertime oh wow.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
What's the square footage of the house?
You said three bedroom, so whatours is, um, I think like 2 000
something, it's.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
I mean, it's not I'm gonna say it's about 1700.
I'm not real sure, but I'mgonna say about 1700 square foot
.
Okay, nice, that's not too bad.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
Two floors and five people in 1700 square feet is
not.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
It's not overcrowded, no so no, because you know, a
lot of people really enjoy thebasement.
Um, so, yeah, no, it's not badat all, you know, but if you get
a bigger group, I think it'stoo much.
Um, and what I have found ispeople get better results with
smaller teams.
Okay, I think, yeah, they do.

(35:25):
They get better results withsmaller teams and being just
very quiet, it's odd.
It's almost like the house hasa pulse or a personality in a
way.
I mean, it's just crazy.
But another thing I wanted tomention is I?
Another reason I feel that thehouse has so much activity is
because we're on a ley line andthat means there's always a flow

(35:47):
of energy that does, you know, coming through and is that based
on?

Speaker 3 (35:58):
okay, you're in a river valley.
I've seen the map of the house.
You're literally you couldthrow a rock from the front door
and probably hit the Ohio River.

Speaker 5 (36:08):
Oh, definitely yes yeah.
There's been a lot of floodingthere too.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
Well, probably not the best thing to have.
No, you're, you know, on theground floor of that thing and
you know, in the summertime, uh,if, yeah, if it was happening.
But uh, I would assume you knowyou're that close to west
virginia, you have a whole lotof coal mine stuff happening
over there.
I think, um, where you're at,uh, yeah, and I, it's a, the

(36:38):
ground is different, like the,the.
Uh, the earth is is a lotdifferent there and it has
different roles and things likethat in it which conduct energy
which I mean, has been proven ordisproven throughout the years
a lot of limestone, a lot oflimestone yep, and that's uh,
supposedly a, uh, a conductor ofenergy, whether it's paranormal

(37:02):
or not.
Uh, so you say it's so active.
So let me ask you this what isthe scariest thing that you've
heard?
Now, I'm not saying youexperienced yourself, but what
is the scariest thing you'veheard about the activity there?

Speaker 5 (37:27):
okay.
So I have, um, this onegentleman.
He's been to the house quite afew times and just dearly love
him.
I mean, he is just a big teddybear, you know, and I won't say
his name, uh, although hopefullyI don't mess up and say it, but
uh, sometimes he likes to uhprovoke a little bit, okay, and,

(37:51):
um, he was in the house onetime.
I think he learned his lessonon this.
So he was in the house one timeand uh, alfred, um, the spirit
alfred can get a little, um mean, okay, um, and this gentleman
is uh provoking alfred andalfred choked him and Alfred

(38:19):
choked him, okay, and he just, you know, he just kept going
with it and he kept feelingchoked.
He stopped and did some otherstuff and went on through the
house some more, came back andhe started provoking again and
he actually went and threw up,yeah, yeah, wow, that was not

(38:44):
good.
The other one was this I hadthese ladies come in and this
whole team came in and they'reall mediums and the first time
they were ever in the house andthey did not want to know

(39:04):
anything about the spirits thatare in there, anything about the
house whatsoever.
And there's, there was four ofthem and one gentleman, and they
came in and I noticed this onelittle bit.
She was a little bit older andshe is starting to act a little

(39:27):
bit funny and her husband wastalking to her.
Actually there was two men, Iforgot, yeah, there's two men
there.
And she went and she sat in thefront room and her husband's
putting her his arm around herand she's going, I'll be okay,
I'll be okay.
And then she started walkingaround and then all of a sudden

(39:48):
she starts crying in pain andshe says he's stabbing me in the
back.
He's stabbing me in the back.
Now I'm sitting there.
What the fuck is happening here?
I'm I don't know what the shit.
You know here, I'm the owner ofthe house.
I don't know what to do forthis lady.
And then two other mediums comein and they're talking and they

(40:14):
sit her in the chair in thedining room and all of a sudden
the one says Alfred, you'rehurting her, let her go, let her
go.
And you don't realize whatyou're doing to her.
This woman is gray and I'mgoing.
I don't know.
I don't know what to thinkabout this.

(40:34):
I know this woman's not puttingthis shit on because she, I
mean, she's crying and she's inpain and these spirits, or these
mediums, knew the name of thespirit that was hurting her and
they're they're saying let hergo, let her go.
Before long the color startscoming back to her face, she's

(40:56):
starting to relax.
They gave her a tissue to wipeher eyes and everything and I'm,
and I'm feeling helpless really.
The uh, the leader of the ofthat group, I says what I asked
him.
I said what the hell was thatabout?
I said I ain't never seen shitlike this in my life.
And he says she doesn't knowhow to funnel it when they come

(41:19):
at her and I'm sitting there.
I didn't know what to think,you know.
But I know what I did after thenext day.
So, just being an old goddamngranny, I guess I went in there
because this one lady that helpsme keep the house calm, she

(41:40):
says you have to take ownershipof your house and you have to
let you know.
Because I'm sitting therethinking I don't want that
Alfred dude to come after me.
And so I went in there and I'mhollering at a goddamn wall and
I'm telling Alfred you know, don't you ever do that to
anybody again and don't you evercome, come at me like that and

(42:02):
and I got this, you know thesmudge out and I'm going like
running around doing all kindsof shit, like like I know what
the hell I'm doing.
I'm really don't know what thehell I'm doing.
But you know, and I'm the onlything I could think of was I'm
glad my girlfriends are with meto see this, because they got
lost my mind.
But I knew I had to takeownership of the house.

(42:23):
And if that spirit set his assstraight and you know, and for
someone who's somewhat of askeptic on some things, I just I
was not sure.
It just blew my mind, reallyBlew my mind.
So you're a skeptic in someways On some things.

(42:47):
There's some things I believe,some things I don't believe.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
Okay.
So you said earlier on when youwere I want to go back to when
it was in the escape room andyou said people were like, hey,
you have plants in there.
What were the stories you werehearing from people?

Speaker 5 (43:10):
They would say they were being touched, poked,
things like that.
Yeah, help would get scared.
I had a nephew who he called me.
He was so scared.
He was my game master.
He was so scared.
He went running out one day.
Yeah, Wow.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
So this stuff was happening like consistently.

Speaker 5 (43:33):
Yeah, when it was escape room.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
Yeah, like first of all like escape rooms, like
escape rooms, like you said, canbe, you know, I mean they're,
they're like fun.
But they have.
Sometimes they have like ahorror vibe to it which makes it
really cool.
But depending on the rooms, you're correct.
Yeah, when you're not expectingit to be a horror room, you
know, or whatever else and stufflike that's happening.

(43:56):
I can see why that would belike really trippy.
Um, so has anything ever reallyhappened to you in that house?

Speaker 5 (44:06):
yeah, yeah, a couple things, um.
Number one I try not to spend alot of time in that house
because it gives me a headache.
Okay, I feel pressure in myhead if I'm there too long.
So when I go in there I try toget my stuff done, straighten up
the house, get the trash outfrom whoever was there before.
Yeah, you know, do the?

(44:27):
Uh, change the bedding and thatUm, but I try to get out.
Now, this past weekend I did notand I was okay, but a lot of
times it gives me a headache, um, but yeah, so when I was in
there one time, um, so when itwas escape room, um, and I had
to call for help or startgetting out, that the house had

(44:47):
activity and I had a gentlemanwho wanted to come in and
investigate and he has to comein after my games are done and
I'm S the games were done andI'm sitting in the office area
and I um, I'm waiting on him toget there and all of a sudden I

(45:08):
felt like I was being surroundedby people.
You know like, I felt likesomeone was invading my space,
right?
right and they kept.
It felt like they were gettingcloser and closer and I I'm like
, well, I'm here by myself, butthis feels weird and it just it
was just the weirdest feelingand I thought that I'm just

(45:28):
freaking myself out.
So I called Sean.
I said Sean, how far out areyou?
He says, well, I'm still anhour out.
I thought, well, son of a bitch.
I said I got to get the hellout of here.
There's something that doesn'tfeel right in here.
And I gave him the code for thedoor and I got in my car and I
started heading home.

(45:48):
Now, the only thing in thepassenger side was my purse, but
I felt like someone was in thecar with me.
Oh, my.
God.
And what's odd is I oh, hold ona minute, alexa, stop.
Somehow.
Alexa picked that up Anyhow.

(46:15):
It felt like somebody was inthe car with me.
And I go home and I watch thelate news.
I turn off the TV and I go homeand I watch the late news, I
turn off the TV and I go to bedand the TV comes back on.
Five times that happened and Ithought I don't know what the
hell this is about and I finallyunplugged my TV.

(46:36):
So come to find out, because Ihad met up with this little lady
who she does Reiki and she hasall these powers.
My friend knew her.
She came over and she wasexplaining that something had
followed me home.
I didn't know anything about allthis stuff and that was not

(46:57):
cool.
I didn't like anything aboutall this stuff and and that was
that was not cool I had to have.
I didn't like that at all.
And then another thing thathappened to me was I was with my
sister and it was an escaperoom still and I was showing her
the latest room that we'd doneand we heard a bang downstairs
and we came out of that room, walked down the hallway.

(47:20):
We were swinging around to godown the stairs, okay, and I saw
a big face, a big face rightthere near the stairs and my
sister saw it too and scared theliving shit out of us and I

(47:40):
just wanted I ran, I just ran, Ijust I can't tell you I saw a
body.
I just remember a face wouldlook like wet hair, scared,
scared me to death, just scaredme to death.
Um boy, another time we weredoing a public investigation and

(48:05):
there's a girl in the basementher name is Anna and I said in
the in downstairs, I says, uh,anna, I says, if you don't mind,
I want you to just touch myfingers, I want to feel you
touch my fingers.
And I just was hoping that hefeels some tingly right and

(48:27):
that's on my fingers.
And then, all of a sudden, thecat ball goes off, the REM pod
goes off, and then, a secondlater, I feel somebody running
their hands through my hair.
Oh, and I jumped and I ran upthose stairs and everyone's

(48:50):
screaming Don't run, cindy,don't run.
And I was like bullshit.
I mean, I didn't go in thatbasement for two and a half
weeks.
I thought that's, I'm notfucking out of here.
Buttercup man, you know that'sscary shit, you know I, I mean,
I felt like fingers were goingthrough my hair.
I thought that that shit ain'tfor me.
So, anyway, um, those were thethings that, uh, that stick out

(49:13):
in my mind now.
Have I heard things?
Yeah, I've heard a lot and, uh,I've seen things happen, um,
but I just, um, I don't know,you know I, I don't, you know,
can't quite explain it.
Really, you know, can't quiteexplain it.

(49:36):
I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (49:39):
sometimes they're like mean, sometimes they're
nice I'm gonna ask you this verysimple question and I feel like
okay.
So on a scale of one to ten,one being casper level haunted
and ten being the roof of thefirehouse and ghostbusters
exploding and every ghost in theum, in the containment unit,

(50:04):
flying out into the streets ofnew york.
How haunted is the ross house?

Speaker 5 (50:16):
I could tell you that I think and I still feel that,
even though I have activity fromresidential intelligent spirits
in that house, I think thatwhole piece of land has issues.
Okay, that whole ground iscursed.

(50:37):
I I believe that with my wholeheart there's something there,
there's some.
I mean, I know that shawnee anddens were there.
I know all the flooding, allthe people that lost their lives
around her.
I don't think, um, you knoweverybody I can't give.

(50:59):
I just don't know that I couldput that.
It's not casper, it'sdefinitely not casper.
Alfred is not casper and, uh,big willie that tends to come
around at times is definitelynot a casper.
Um, I'm gonna put it at maybean eight Holy moly.

Speaker 3 (51:18):
Wow, look at that, that's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (51:21):
It's just all you know.
People tell me your place is sounique, and they go, they pick
up.
You have to read the reviews, right?
Yeah, you know, and what peoplesay, I'm going to stick it as
an eight.
Yeah, because I know there'ssome places that are really like
crazy, and you know, and, andsometimes the house is crazy,

(51:46):
and one time, uh, and peopletell me that you know, the house
, house shakes sometimes.
And I don't, I think it's the,it's underneath the ground, it's
shaking, that's what I think.
I mean.
I don't, I think it's the it'sunderneath the ground, it's
shaking, that's what I think.
I mean.
I don't know.
You know, sometimes they saythe house will shake geez isn't

(52:06):
that weird yeah, it's incredible, it's a ground.
I think it's the ground shaking.
I think there's something intothe ground shaking is what I
think they've, they've.
I've heard so many things, Imean.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
So Do you have repeat Groups that go in there?

Speaker 5 (52:25):
Oh my, gosh, yes, all the time.
Yeah, I mean we're basicallyI'm not well known out there In
the paranormal field, yet youknow I get a lot of repeats.
Absolutely, people love comingthere, yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:43):
You're on Scolarius now.
Cindy, you'll be well known inthe paranormal field.
Okay, Okay.
Either you'll be a like.
This is how it's going to work.
Either your place will be themost reputable haunted house in
America or you will be thelaughingstock of the haunted
houses in America.
One of the two is going tohappen, okay.

Speaker 5 (53:08):
I stand by my word on everything I said.
I don't bullshit.
I like to laugh and joke andeverything with everybody, but I
stand by what I say on thehouse.

Speaker 3 (53:18):
That's good.
I'm glad, because that's whatmakes it.
The credibility is what makesit even better If you're
standing by it and you're saying, hey, this is the way it is the
stories that you told us.
Here are.
Some of them are bone chilling.
The haunted like, sincerely, aghost following you home sitting
in your car.
That shit's creepy.

Speaker 5 (53:41):
Yeah, yeah.
I have no idea what the hell isgoing on.
I you know, and that's thethings that scare me because, um
, I don't want any shit in myhouse.
Okay, where I live, you know itcould stay at that house.
And when I go out, every time I, after I leave people, the
first thing that comes out of mymouth is you're not allowed to
follow my ass home.

Speaker 3 (53:56):
You know, my house is peaceful there you go, that's
the way, yeah, you don't want tobring it home.
And you know I I doinvestigations, I did, uh, quite
a bit.
I I do like I'm, you know I'llgo to a cemetery, do a ghost box
session, or you know, go to aplace that that's seemingly
haunted, do like ghost foxsessions, or whatever.

(54:17):
I I don't, and I'll always saylike, all right, I'm leaving,
you are not, you're stayingright here.
You're not allowed to follow me.
Uh, maybe we'll talk later, butyou're not allowed to follow me
home.
And it's been good ever.
I mean, I've never had anyissues.
The only issue that I will saythe only issue that I will say

(54:39):
is that we have power lines thatrun next to our house and you
can hear them buzzing.
Everything else that's straightenergy, right, I mean it's
that's what?
Uh, now am I do?
I have a huge tumor growing inmy head from it.
It's a possibility.
I don't know who knows, but, um, there are times when we're

(55:01):
here that you know, maybe, maybenot see out of the corner of
your eye somebody walking by orwhatever, but I look at it like,
as I said, it's energy.
If it's here, then it's on inevery house by us.
You know what I mean.
It's not just with us, but, um,I know exactly what you mean.

(55:23):
Don't want to bring the evilshit.
You know, if it's cool, it'scool, if it's not, it can stay
away.
That's the way I feel about it.
Um, oh yeah, do you have anylike?
Have you had any well-knownparanormal groups that have gone
into the Ross house?

(55:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:47):
You don't have to say your name If you don't want.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
I mean, is it Zach Baggins?
Did Zach go there?
Did he buy it from you, Is it?
Now Is your house, moving toLas Vegas and going into his
museum.
No, okay, that's good.
No.

Speaker 5 (56:03):
He has never been here, but for a very brief
period.
Sam and Colby were in the housefor about an hour.
Oh, nice.

Speaker 3 (56:12):
Yeah, very cool, that's cool.
Also, another couple of kids.
I want to see if I could tangleto get on on our podcast.
I feel that'd be, that'd be alot of fun, because they seem
like they're fun and me and DWwell, at least I am, we're fun
and then yeah, so I think that'dbe, that'd be a cool thing.

(56:33):
So Sam and Colby were there.

Speaker 4 (56:35):
You said for an hour.

Speaker 3 (56:36):
What did they do?

Speaker 5 (56:37):
for about an hour.
So sam and colby were there.
You said for an hour.
What did they do about an hour?

Speaker 3 (56:45):
huh, they're cute, pretty much pose okay, so they
didn't really investigateanything they did.

Speaker 5 (56:48):
They just did a little bit in the basement, but
there was a whole big uh thinggoing on right before that where
at another property, they hadum, misbehaved, I guess, and um,
yeah, so anyhow, the owner ofthat house brought him over.
They were scheduled to comeover to investigate.

(57:08):
So she was with them becauseshe felt that I maybe she felt
that I couldn't handle it, but Icould handle myself pretty damn
good um, but she wanted to bethere and they were there about
an hour just did some posing, and then they were off to the
penitentiary, which I was finewith that, you know.
But uh, and, and they're so, Imean, they're young kids, you

(57:29):
know, just young kids.
Back then it was, um, my gosh,it was still escape zone when
they came over.
So it was yeah, yeah, it was, yeah, it was uh, cute, I'm
sitting here.
The only thing I could think ofwas my god, I hope they got a
good manager, somebody good tomanage their you know their
finances, because you knowthey're just running around

(57:51):
doing all this shit and you know, I just hope that they're
saving some money.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
You know the money right, yeah, most likely that
they didn't, but you know it did.
Yeah, that's most likely theydidn't.
They probably most they mightmight have saved some money or
spending on ridiculous shit.

Speaker 5 (58:11):
It's either one or the other but they were very
polite with me, very, verypolite.
I polite.
I've only had one person whowasn't so polite in the house.
Everybody's been very, verygood, but the one person I
handled them.
You know I'm used to handlingassholes anyway.

(58:31):
I mean I was a casino host, soyou know I was going to say I
have to travel with a lot ofpeople, right, you know, leave
their ass and jail andeverything.

Speaker 3 (58:42):
Yeah, yeah, I mean.
And you live in vegas, so Imean you have to be that tough
when you're out there.
That's, that's, oh yeah allright, so we can't just let that
go.
So who was?
Who was that person and why washe an asshole?

(59:06):
What?

Speaker 5 (59:06):
what happened.
So him, uh, so his name I, Icall him bad benny, okay and um,
bad benny was probably aboutsix foot four and he was out in
the middle of the street makinga damn fool of himself and, um,
he had to go, that's all, that'sall I'll say.
And I told him he, he, he can'tstay, you know, you can't stay,

(59:30):
you're, you're an asshole, youhave to go.
So, and he just thought he wasjust going to point his finger
at me I'm five foot five andtell me that he paid and he'll
do whatever the hell he wants todo.
And it wasn't that way, youknow, he didn't scare me.
So, anyway, he had to leave.
But he called and apologizedyeah, was he drunk.

(59:54):
I think he was on drugs.

Speaker 4 (59:56):
Oh yeah, I think when you say drugs.

Speaker 5 (59:58):
Oh yeah, I think he was fine.

Speaker 4 (59:59):
When you say he called and apologized, usually
it's someone who's drunk, andthen the next day they sober up
and they're like, oh man, I wasan idiot.

Speaker 5 (01:00:06):
It was a funny conversation, you know, no hard
feelings.
I hope he gets straight.
And my only comment to him wasI says bad Benny, and that's
what I call him bad Benny.
I says bad Benny, and that'swhat I call him bad Benny.
I says I've got one.
Just one question Did yourgirlfriend put you up to this?

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
apology, the answer was yes.

Speaker 5 (01:00:28):
The answer absolutely was probably yes, Because she
told me I should do it and Isaid that's enough, we're good
bad Benny.
I said you take good care ofyourself and get yourself out.
Get yourself straight, bud, Allright.

Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
So is is bad bunny, bad bunny.

Speaker 4 (01:00:40):
We don't want him you want bad Benny.

Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
Is he allowed to come back to the Ross house?
Yeah, he can come back.
Yeah, oh, there you go, he doesit again.
You'll get kicked out again.
So hard feelings, Benny.

Speaker 5 (01:00:55):
It just can't be.
I've had a lot worse, not inthis business, but when I was in
it, when I was an executivehost.
I had, you know, I've had toleave people in jail, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
So, yeah, it's good me and bad, benny's good yeah
that's well, I mean that's good.
And with the name like bad, benny, I you know.
At first I thought you're gonnabe like well, he was, you know
whatever, and god rest his soul.
I thought maybe you're gonnasay like he well, he was, you
know, whatever, and God rest hissoul.
I thought maybe you were goingto say like he was gone, Like he
had a whack or something.
But no, he's good, he's fine.

Speaker 5 (01:01:25):
He'll be fine.
He's just got to be good.
He's got to be good, Benny, thenext time, right.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
That's how it should be, so all right.
Well, I mean, I, I think peopleneed to go to the ross house
page on facebook.
I think they need to look atthe reviews and you know, I, I
want to.
I want you to take this time, cindy, to tell people who are

(01:01:54):
listening to scalarius.
Give them your sales pitch.
Why should they come to theRoss House?
And if they wanted to, wherecould they find you to do so?

Speaker 5 (01:02:10):
Okay, why they should come to the Ross House, yeah,
okay.
Well, number one I think thatin all honesty, I'm very, very
fair on my pricing.
Okay, I, um, I know and I'm notputting anybody down I
understand a lot of these bigplaces have a lot of um people

(01:02:30):
that, um, they, they hire tohelp out and in this it's just
me.
Okay, I'm a lone soldier andI'm just doing my thing and I
keep the prices reasonable.
Um, it's an overnight stay, atotal overnight stay.
You're not leaving at five inthe morning.
Unless you want to leave atfive in the morning.
You can stay until nine o'clockin the morning.

(01:02:54):
The house is clean and, um, andthe beds are clean.
Uh, you know, you got goodmattresses to sleep on, fresh
bedding.
If you can sleep there, somepeople can't.
You know, some people have beenactually pushed out of bed.
Um, you know, I, I think, yeah,we've had that happen too um,
in the main bedroom.

(01:03:14):
So, you know, I just think it'sa safe place because you could
be in that house door locksautomatically behind you.
It's a good place toinvestigate because it doesn't
fail very often at all.

(01:03:40):
You know, I don't know what elseto say about it.
You know there's things to doaround to do that are not that
far away.
You can go over to thepenitentiary.
There's some.
You know I always tell peopleyou definitely got to go to the
Prima Marina and if you comedown there to that area again,
definitely go to the PrimaMarina to eat in Moundsville,

(01:04:01):
because that's not far from thepenitentiary.
It's great food, big, largeportions and great service.
You know, it's just it's a goodtime.
You know I treat everybody great.
I greet them at the door, Igive them a tour, tell them

(01:04:23):
everything they need to know, you know, and answer any
question.
I'm available to them on textafter they're done.
If they need to talk aboutsomething or text me about
something, I'm there.
You know I'll answer anything Ican in a very, very honest way
and um gotten into some a littlebit of riffs over a few things

(01:04:45):
that uh, that uh maybe um, Ihave disagreed with with people,
not what they find, but some ofuh, my beliefs and their
beliefs don't always match up.
Okay, and that's on the Ouijaboard.

Speaker 3 (01:05:03):
Oh yeah, yeah, don't mess with that.
You're just going to open upmore shit and people are going
to come in there Like ghosts, are just going to find their way
in there, and then you're goingto have a whole different kind
of problem.

Speaker 5 (01:05:13):
Yeah, it's just all bullshit.
I just think that's justbullshit.
You know, I and I have actuallygot my, had this, had a couple
investigators come in and Iactually I kind of have fun with
it now because they'll saysomebody has used a Ouija board
in here, and I get probably many.

(01:05:34):
I mean, you know, I don't givea shit, we use a Ouija board all
you want.
You know, ouija away.
You know, I don't believe forone second that that goddamn
board's gonna bring in the devil.
You know, um, and you know theysaid well, they don't use it
properly, they don't close itout.
I go, and they don't close outany other equipment either.

(01:05:56):
I mean, when you use theseother things, do you say I'm
signing off or goodbye?
You don't say that shit, youknow.
So you know I.
Just I don't believe it's anydifferent than any other piece
of equipment where you're tryingto communicate, and I won't
believe it until somebody provesotherwise.
How about that?
You prove that to me, then I'llbelieve that.

(01:06:17):
You know, I mean that how I,how I feel about it that makes
sense.

Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
We, we just did a, we did an episode, a few episodes
back about about ouija boards, and we had some pretty uh
interesting um stories thatoccurred uh from them.
But I mean, I get it, you know, they're, you, like you said,
it's like any other piece ofequipment that you're going to

(01:06:43):
use.
But see, like me, I think aboutthat and I'm like, okay, I'm
stopping this and you can't comewith me.
See, that's, that's that point.
You know that I, you know thatI put on it, but not a lot of
people do that, and you're right.
When they don't do that, then Imean, it's no different than
using a Ouija board, and you can, or any other piece of

(01:07:05):
equipment you have.

Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
I don't think it's any different, you know, yeah, I
just don't.
I mean seances, you want toseance, seance away, you know
you want to scry, scry away, know I?
I just, um, I don't.
And they say, well, your housewill change.
Well, that house has been thesame, um, since the beginning.
You know so.

(01:07:27):
And I, and when it, when I feel, when there's negativity,
that's in the house, I have thislittle lady who, um, you know,
she'll come over and she'll talkto me and she'll, well, she
actually goes in the house andshe, you know, she says it's the
people coming in, it's not thehouse.
You know, your house is thesame as always was.
So, yeah, it's all good.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Haunted is haunted.
So I mean, look at it like thatIf it's haunted, it's haunted,
If it's not, it's not.

Speaker 5 (01:08:03):
You can't.
I mean it's not going to be,you know, I mean it's it's well,
I believe it and I didn't even.
I didn't even understand, Ididn't even understand all this
stuff before.
You know, um, still don't, anda lot of things you know, but,
um, but one thing about it Idon't I don't throw no bullshit
at you, um, you know the house,it is what it is, and people, I
hope people will go on to my notmy website as much as my

(01:08:24):
Facebook page, because mywebsite's just my website.
Right, it was set quite a whileago, but you can read the
reviews on the website.
But go on my Facebook page andlook at the evidence boards and
that's what the people write andthat's the.
That's the real truth rightthere.

Speaker 3 (01:08:45):
Nice and is the Ross house on Facebook.

Speaker 5 (01:08:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
All right, and then on your website, is it the Ross
housecom?

Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
No, it's the Ross houseorg Dot org.

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
Okay, no, it's therosshouseorg.

Speaker 5 (01:08:59):
Dot org Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
Very, very cool.

Speaker 5 (01:09:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
So every time I post it, I post everything they write
.
That's awesome.
I think people need to go there.
Like, if you live in that areaOhio, kentucky, west Virginia,
anywhere around there, maybePennsylvania, all up in that
area go visit the ross house, have yourself a good time.
And I feel cindy, cindy, Ithink you'll.
I hate people.
Listen.

(01:09:26):
I think I think cindy it is.
She seems pretty kick-ass.
So I I feel like anybody whowants to like and then I don't.
I don't think you want to messwith her.
I can tell that right now.
But you know, maybe just go hangout and see if we can find some
ghosts or whatever at the crosshouse.

Speaker 5 (01:09:47):
All right, so so much repeat business four or five
times, that's good, that'sawesome.

Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
I'd like to go there maybe.
Maybe me and d dubs can uh makeour way.
We have to go see steve anywayat some point, so we can go to
west virginia and uh and ohioand he's a nice guy yeah, he was
very cool.
Uh, we actually a little funnything about that.
Uh, we interviewed him, uh,about his museum and uh, the

(01:10:21):
episode, just it, it disappeared, it went bye bye and it just
gone, yeah.
So then I had to contact him.
I'm like, hey, you want to dothis again?
He's like, yeah, that's cool, and we were on there for like
what, like an hour and 20minutes dw somewhere around
there like something like that.
Yeah, it was a longer one, yeah, and it just went away, yeah, so

(01:10:41):
that kind of sucked it hasn'thappened since we moved to Zoom,
so knock on wood it hasn'thappened yet, but yeah, you
never know.
But yeah, steve, very cool guy, incredible stories that he had,
especially about thepenitentiary and essentially in

(01:11:04):
his museum, yeah, he's moved acouple times too, I believe.
Yeah, yeah, he's around there,but he's amazing and I hope he's
doing well.
Hope you hear this, steve, you're doing well and, uh, keep
kicking ass, buddy, keepcollecting stuff, because you
have really cool stuff tocollect, all right.
So, hey, cindy, there's thething that we do, uh, as we're

(01:11:27):
closing out the show and whatthat is.
It's called, it's, it's calledthis or that, and basically what
it is is that we, we talk toour guests, we we ask some
questions, um, and essentiallyit's a way to get to know them
in a very superficial type ofway, like just barely even
breaking the skin type of level, like it's just, I mean, it's

(01:11:47):
not real deep.
So I was just kind of wonderingare you, are you ready for this
or that?
yeah all right, cool, okay.
So I have another question, andthis one's for the dubster over
there.
Hey W do you have this or thatthis week, or do you want old

(01:12:09):
John to take the reins?
I?

Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
was just thinking I've done the last couple.
Do you want to take the reins?

Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
Yeah, I think I should.
Okay, I think, yeah, I want totake these reins back, steer
this ship.

Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
Yeah, what's going to happen?

Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
We're going to steer this ship right into the dock.
That's how we're doing.
All right, Cindy, you ready forthis or that?
Okay?

Speaker 5 (01:12:34):
This means I agree, that means no right.

Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
No, you just pick one .

Speaker 5 (01:12:41):
I'm going to give you two answers and you just pick
one.

Speaker 3 (01:12:44):
All right, we're going to start with breakfast.
Are you ready for breakfast?
Yes, let's go with breakfast.
Pancakes or waffles Waffles,very cool.
Sausage or bacon.

Speaker 5 (01:12:57):
Oh bacon.
Hashbrowns or breakfastpotatoes, hash browns nice, very
easy.

Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Yeah, very easy she knows what she wants.

Speaker 4 (01:13:11):
She's not hesitating.

Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
I know, would you want your eggs scrambled or over
easy?

Speaker 5 (01:13:18):
Scrambled.

Speaker 3 (01:13:19):
Okay.
Lots of ketchup, oh okay, allright.
Coffee with creamer, or without.

Speaker 5 (01:13:26):
Oh, shit Creamer, yeah, yeah, cream.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
All right Donuts or bagels.

Speaker 5 (01:13:38):
I love my carb Bagels .

Speaker 3 (01:13:41):
Very awesome.
All right, we're going to getaway from breakfast a little bit
and we're going to just go withsome overall questions.
Would you rather fly or drive?
Definitely fly.
Very cool.

Speaker 5 (01:13:54):
I fly a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:13:56):
And if you were to drive, would you want to drive a
car or a truck?
Oh a car yeah.
Okay.
All right, we're going to getinto the really cool stuff
Disneyland or Universal Studios.

Speaker 5 (01:14:18):
Oh boy, disneyland, yeah, with the grandkids.

Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
There you go.
All right, I like your style.
All right, we're going to goback to some fun ones here.
Okay, paranormal or comedy.

Speaker 5 (01:14:34):
Paranormal.

Speaker 3 (01:14:36):
Nice.
Now I'm taking a page out ofDW's book and I'm going to ask
you this, and I feel this shouldbe a good one.
Okay, alright, let me see JohnOlsen.

(01:14:56):
John Olsen, or the menendezbrothers, john olsen.

Speaker 4 (01:15:05):
Thank you, that wasn't even a hesitation, just
gonna throw that out there, allright, and the?

Speaker 3 (01:15:11):
creme de la creme and the creme de la creme, the coup
de gras, so to speak, whichmeans the end Fabulous Las Vegas
, nevada or New Orleans.

Speaker 4 (01:15:31):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (01:15:31):
Jesus Christ, that's an easy one.
I hate New Orleans.
Been there too many times withplayers.

Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
It's definitely Vegas , baby, all right.
Vegas's definitely vegas baby, all right awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:15:42):
Well, that's cool.
I didn't get sick of it whenyou were living there, I guess
yeah, well, I have a son who's aprofessional poker player I go
out every.

Speaker 5 (01:15:51):
I try to go out there every june to uh, when he's in
town to watch him in the wsop.
Oh nice, okay yeah that's verycool.

Speaker 3 (01:16:01):
That's awesome.
Um, gambling has only ruined mylife, but you know other people
seems to work out for him.

Speaker 5 (01:16:08):
That's, that's good yeah, he's, he's professional,
he works, uh, he works foramerican card room, uh, acr, and
they do a lot of travelingtogether.
They're pros.
I'm not sure how many pros theyhave, but they traveled a lot.
But when he's in Vegas I alwaystry to see him.

Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
Wow, that's awesome.
That is really cool.
All right, well, I just want tosay, cindy, that this was
absolutely amazing.
You are I mean the stories thatyou have there are incredible.
That house, I feel, uh, shouldbe extremely, extremely busy, uh
, based on all the activity thatis that's around there yeah,

(01:16:51):
it's everything, everything youcan imagine if you know, that's
really cool.
Now I'm gonna ask you one finalquestion and then we're gonna go
.
So okay, here it is.
If there is one, one team orone person that you would want
to investigate the ross house, who would that be?

(01:17:14):
Oh, you, you guys.
Aw.

Speaker 5 (01:17:18):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
Yeah, come on down.
We didn't even pay her.
That's the awesome thing.

Speaker 4 (01:17:24):
I don't even investigate stuff, but cool DW
will be sitting there drinkinghis coffee and then, yeah, it'll
be all cool, it'll be all right, we'll have a blast.

Speaker 3 (01:17:29):
It'll be great.
Something will come up andstrangle you and poke you in the
back, and We'll have a blast,it'll be great.

Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
Something will come up and strangle you and poke you
in the back and I'll be like,eh, that was the wind, I don't
know.

Speaker 3 (01:17:43):
Well, you know, we have recorded a podcast in a
haunted place before twicetechnically, and both times I
didn't see anything.
Yeah, but we could mostdefinitely.
I think it would be badass todo that, especially an overnight
investigation, yeah, that'd be,badass to do that especially an
overnight investigation?
Yeah, That'd be cool, yeah, andthen we could just record all
night long DW, you record yoursnoring, and then, yeah, what is

(01:18:09):
this?
I don't understand.
Why do we have three hours of?

Speaker 4 (01:18:17):
I'm pretty sure between the two of us would be.

Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
That's probably my yeah yeah, to be honest, all
right.
Well, like I said, cindy, itwas amazing.
Um, I, I hope, I hope, uh, foran immense success for the ross
house.
For you, yeah, you're verywelcome.
I think everybody needs to gothere.
And, yeah, you, if anythingreally crazy happens, you know,

(01:18:46):
at at the Ross house you get.
You're more than welcome tocome back on Scalarius and talk
about it, cause, yeah, yourstories are pretty, pretty cool.
I enjoyed them.

Speaker 5 (01:18:57):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:18:58):
You're very welcome.

Speaker 5 (01:18:59):
Yeah, can I put my phone number out there?

Speaker 3 (01:19:02):
if you want to.
I don't, I think you know youdon't know here.
Oh, that's one thing I want tosay.
Um dw, we have a new countrythat has joined us.
Gosh, uh, the ukraine, really.
The Ukraine, really, yeah, allright.
Okay, cindy, if you want peoplefrom the Ukraine calling you.

(01:19:22):
I mean if you want, you canmost definitely put your phone
number out there, but yeah, goahead If they're interested in
an investigation.

Speaker 5 (01:19:32):
most of the people text me okay.
Text me Okay and they can text740-232-4544.
If they're seriously interestedin booking a date.

Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
I set it all up for them.
Awesome, nice.

Speaker 5 (01:19:51):
That's pretty bad.
I don't have to keep going intomy website.

Speaker 3 (01:19:54):
Yeah, there you go.
That's the easiest way to do it.
No one's ever done that beforeand I can assure you if I put my
phone number out there I wouldhave there'd be a problem.
I think.
Hang on a second john's numberis cw.
Come on now you.
You already hurt my feelingsthe other day, but call me an
acquaintance, so we're justgonna go wait it was pretty good

(01:20:17):
I I was proud of that I, Ienjoy it.
We, I love our banter.
He thinks I'm not his friend, but I, I prove him wrong every
time.
So yeah I, I don't know wherewhen that term started.
So yeah, all right, we gotta go.
People need to go to bed, alright, well, you know.

(01:20:37):
I don't know if you know whatthis means, but I know what this
