"The Missionary's Final Report" is a supplemental episode to "It Was A Wonderful Life: The Autobiography of Roselyn Mesplay In Her Own Words" in an effort to give context to some things that Roselyn said in the previous two episodes... please go back and listen if you haven't already.

It is spoken from the final report to Lutheran Mission by Rev. Kenneth P. Mesplay prior to leaving New Guinea in 1973 after 13 years missionary work...

In this episode, Roselyn recounts her adventures from her time in New Guinea as "the missionary's wife".

From a man being killed by a cassowary and then Roselyn keeping one as a pet, to another man being eaten by a crocodile in a body of water next to the hospital she was giving birth in! She also was the air-traffic controller for the highest landing strip in the world, guiding light aircraft...

From growing up in Kansas as a piano prodigy and performing throughout the mid-west, to graduation with a degree in music. From teaching music and leading music troupes, then starting a family with two daughters with her husband Ken. Then, to answering the calling to go overseas to New Guinea to start a new life as the missionary's wife.
