Federal Judge Cagey Cannon reshuffles the hearing for the Trump classified documents AND ESPIONAGE CASE Instead of the original hearing and cancellation. Elite Trump gets sooo many breaks, so much consideration, so many favors, and he is still lying. Why do we the people have different rules, harsher punishments and militant behavior by law enforcement towards us?

We started Scrood to fight corruption in politics and BIG biz.  We support democracy, human rights, reproductive rights, unions, justice equality, clean environment; safe food, water and air, and all things for the people.

Audrey (00:00):
Ben has laryngitis, so Ethan will update you today.
Take it away Ethan.

Ethan (00:07):
Thank you Audrey, Cagey Cannon reshuffles the hearing
for the classified documents ANDESPIONAGE CASE Instead of the
original hearing andcancellation.
Cagey Cannon said there wouldnow be a shorter hearing, on
June 24 and 25, to considerdifferent topics, including any
lingering discussion aboutSmith’s appointment.

(00:28):
Cannon also told the defense andthe prosecution to be ready to
debate Trump’s motion to excludefrom the case any evidence,
including more than 100classified and top secret
documents out of thousands ofdocuments taken that the F.B.I.
discovered in August twentytwenty two, when agents searched
Mar-a-Largo, Trump’s golf cluband residence in Florida.

(00:51):
After they of course begged forthere return for eighteen
months, and then finally, gavehim a written heads-up, with a
time and date, as not tosurprise him.
Which allowed time for family toleave, and time for him to close
the club to most employees andbusiness associates, saving face
for FUGU Trump.

(01:11):
A bend over backwards courtesyJoe public never sees in their
own circumstance, only in ourdreams of justice equality and
affordable legal representation.
We are assumed guilty untilproven innocent, and our homes
and offices are wrecklessly andabrubtly raided by law
enforcement during the hourshumans are resting and more

(01:32):
likely to feel danger andterror.
Let's not forget all the time inthe world given to Trump to go
through and hide, or move evenmore documents.
Trump had boxes of docs in areasaccessible to workers and staff
and members.
Trump is so irresponsible withour government communications
and top secret information, military capabilities and

(01:54):
operations, and human assets, that he wrecklesly placed these
documents in an unsecure areaeven after the March 2019 China
breach.
Remember when the Chinese agentYujing Zhang was arrested, and
was wandering around Mara Largo?
She had four cell phones, twopassports, cash, hard drives,

(02:15):
external drives, a laptop, thumbdrives containing malicious
malware and two passports.
After her arrest, in heroff-site hotel room, more
devices were found, includingnine USB drives, five SIM cards,
and eight thousand in cash.
The Chinese agent also liedabout why she was there, fooling

(02:36):
security and passing through notone, but two secret service
check points and scanners.
Trump was present at the club atthis time.
A receptionist finally stoppedand questioned her, ferreting
out that the Chinese agent liedand was not there for an event
as the agent stated.
It is important to note thatThis receptionist was not named,

(02:59):
given a medal, or anyrecognition.
My guess is that she did noteven get a raise, or a very nice
CHristmas bonus at that.
But blow me down, Trump gave thePresidential Medal of Freedom to
the likes of Miriam Adelson, thewife of his largest campaign
contributor.
Trump has used the country’shighest civilian honor to reward

(03:21):
his most fervent supporters.
Angry, divisive partisans likeRush Limbaugh(who coined the
term“feminazi”), Representative.
Jim“Shouty” Jordan and, ofcourse, his favorite cow-suing
former congressman, Devin Nuneswho was made the CEO of the
legally troubled, financiallyburdened Trump Media that is

(03:41):
rife with partner in-fighting.
Short sellers abound, arebetting against the overvalued,
Truth Social, Trump Media andTech company.
The Presidential Medal ofFreedom, created by President
Kennedy in 1963, was establishedto recognize individuals who
have made an“especiallymeritorious contribution to the

(04:02):
security or national interestsof the United States, or world
peace, or cultural or othersignificant public or private
endeavors.” The unnamedreceptionist at Mara Largo was
simply passed over, unworthy ofeven her name being mentioned.
So is the plight of all of usJane and Joe Publics that
perform our assigned duties andpay our forced taxes so the

(04:25):
elite can use our work, ourtalent, our efforts, our
loyalty, and gamble with ourmoney.
Anyway, back to Cagey Cannon andher most recent dice toss.
The two sides will argue as wellover Trump’s attempt to suppress
the private audio notes thatprosecutors obtained from one of
his lawyers through a processthat pierced the normal

(04:47):
protections of attorney-clientprivilege.
The notes by the lawyer, EvanCorcoran, were central to the
government’s allegations thatTrump had obstructed the
government’s repeated efforts toreclaim the classified materials
he took to Mar-a-Largo.
In addition, the parties areexpected to discuss Smith’s
request to Cannon to alterTrump’s conditions of release by

(05:09):
barring him from making publicstatements that could endanger
F.B.I.
agents working on the case.
That request was prompted byfalse statements Trump made last
month, twisting the meaning of astandard use-of-force policy
employed during the search ofMar-a-Largo.
In social media posts andfund-raising emails, FUGU Trump

(05:30):
grossly mischaracterized thepolicy by suggesting that the
bureau had authorized agents tokill him during the search.
More about this and more onScrood with hosts Ben and Elly.
Faux billionare Trump continuesto use Other People's Money to
pay for HIS mess.
So much for the I'm Really Rich, boasting.

Audrey (05:50):
Again, more fund raising, more misinformation,
more division, and just plainlying.
What a disgusting human beingthis ex-president is.
Thank you for this honest updateEthan.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
