Our guest on this episode of the podcast is Captain Chris Gergely. Chris is the owner/operator of L.T. Marine Products and Laurel Tool and Engineering Company. He and his crew manufacture high quality marine parts, fishing equipment, medical devices, and custom tool parts for various industries. When Chris is not busy in the shop, he runs charters, commercially fishes, and spends time with his family on the water.
In this conversation, Chris goes into detail about part manufacturing, product consistency, creativity, and what it is like to run a machine shop. We talk about everything from running 1/4 million dollar CNC machines to catching 1,000lb bluefin tuna three miles of the beach of his home waters off of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York.
