Now, if you don't know who Dr.
Benjamin Hardy is, I highlyrecommend you look him up.
He's wrote some incredible booksBe Your Future Self Now, The Gap
in the Gain.
He co-authored a couple bookswith uh Dan Sullivan, who's a
performance coach called Who NotHow or 10X is Easier Than 2X.

All of them are great reads.
And this newest uh edition, TheScience of Scaling, is
phenomenal.
Now, Dr.
Benjamin Hardy works with highachievers, entrepreneurs,
business owners, uh, companiesthat are doing seven, eight,
nine figures and beyond.
And he's always looking for howhe can help you get more out of
your potential.
Like I don't care if you'redoing six figures, seven

for growth.
Now, the determining factor isyour perceived identity and what
you believe you are capable ofand what is possible.
Now, let's just take the averageperson who's struggling to
achieve goals.
I work with a lot of guys andthey want to lose weight.
They know that's gonna make themmore confident, give them more

discipline, and that's gonnacarry over into how they lead
their families, how they runtheir business.
We always focus on healthbecause your personal
development is the foundation.
Okay.
A lot of these guys struggle tolose weight.
They'll lose weight, they'llgain it back, they'll be
inconsistent in their routines.
And the main thing that I'malways harping on, and this
applies to growing the businessand the concepts that Dr.
Benjamin Hardy shares as well.

It all comes down to yourperceived identity.
The reason you don't lose theweight is because deep down

things, consistently andefficiently, that's gonna give
you a belief that you can dobigger things in your life.
This is the biggest disconnectthat people right now are
struggling with.
If you want to make more money,you want to have better

relationships, you know, youwant to be in a job or a career
or business that you love, youwant to have the right people
around you, I want you to take amoment right now and look
around.
And I want you to recognize thatall of the results that you have
in your life right now are areflection of what you believe
you deserve and what you'recapable of.
The moment that you can shiftthat perspective and your

mindset and believe that youdeserve and can earn more money,
you will.
The moment that you really,really want to become that fit,
healthy person, as if your lifedepends on it and you want it as
bad as you want to breathe thisair, you will not deviate from
your diet, you will not missworkouts.
There is a switch that can beflipped in your mind
instantaneously, and it can leadto bigger and better results

over time.
But that's where most peoplestruggle.
And if you look at your dailyroutines and habits, you gotta

ask yourself (04:48):
are these daily routines and habits giving me
the belief that I can do biggerand better things?
Are these routines reallyinstilling a deep and profound
confidence in my ability?
Or am I doing things that arejust keeping me stuck?
Am I doing things the way I'vealways done them?
You see, you guys, you reallyhave to be able to envision who
that future self is, what he orshe doesn't do, and what he or

she needs to start doing now tomake those results possible.
And so in Dr.
Benjamin Hardy's book, he talksabout setting big, massive
goals.
Like whatever your goals areright now, 10x them.
This is how you get the most outof yourself in this life.
If you have a goal that is sobig, so meaningful, it seems so
almost impossible, right?
What it does is it cuts out allthe noise.

Too many people have goals andtheir goals are small, right?
And so they get distracted byother things or other goals, or
they're not good with saying noto stuff, so they don't spend
their time wisely.
But let's use revenue, forinstance, because working with
numbers is an easy way tounderstand this.
If your goal is to do a milliondollars in your business this
year, you might be able toachieve that a couple different

ways.
And you might still be able towaste a little time, um, hang
out with those toxic people,hold on to bad habits, and
achieve that goal.
But imagine if your goal was 10million this year.
And let's say you just did likea quarter of a million or three
quarters of a million last year,and a million dollars seems like
a logical next step.
But all of a sudden you're like,I gotta do 10 million.
I gotta do 10 million.
Oh my God, how am I gonna dothat?

(06:13):
What Dr.
Benjamin Hardy explains in thisbook, and what happens is you
get so clear on that big goaland you get laser focused,
because typically there's onlyone way to get there.
And you're gonna maximize yourtime, you're gonna cut out those
toxic people, you're not gonnawaste time doing all that crap
that's not serving you.
So he talks about settingsetting this big, audacious,

massive, scary, seeminglyimpossible goal and then put a
timeline on it.
Because when you have atimeline, it creates urgency.
Too many people like, I want toget healthy, I want to make more
money, you know, I want to havebetter relationships.
But your brain doesn't recognizewhat that actually means because
there's no detailed substance toit.
But if you're like, I want tomake$10 million in 2026, now you
can reverse engineer that, youknow, how much money you have to

make per month, per week, andper day.
And then very quickly you startto look around at your team and
go, are these the right peoplethat are gonna help me fulfill
this goal?
Do I need better players by myside?
Or do I need to get rid of someof the waste, people that aren't
performing?
Right?
You start to get very focused onwhat has to be done.
So you need a big goal thatseems impossible and you need a
timeline that's gonna createurgency.

But what makes this all possibleis your own perception of what
you can actually achieve in thislife.
If you don't have a track recordof showing up, that's where you
got to start.
If you don't have a foundationof personal development so that
you have some confidence andcompetence, you're not gonna be
able to achieve bigger goals inlife.
This is the whole thing, youguys.
Personal development createsprofessional success.
And one of the main things thatI focus on with the business

owners that I mentor is systemsin their personal life that are
gonna guarantee they growphysically, mentally, and
spiritually, that are gonnaguarantee they show up as better
versions of themselves for theirfamily.
And that ability that theycultivate, that real life
experience that they start toget carries over into business.
It carries over into how theylead their teams, it carries
over into their vision and theircreativity.

And all of a sudden they startthinking bigger.
And this is one of the biggestthings I've recognized for
people, especially the businessowners that I coach.
Once they get fit, once they eatright, once they have this
discipline, once they'reconsistent in their habits,
their self-esteem starts toelevate.
Their belief in themselvesstarts to elevate.
Suddenly they look at all areasof their life, from the team
members they have in theirbusiness, from the time they

spend with their wife andchildren, what are they doing
with their family, right?
Every little detail of theirlife, they start to elevate the
goals that they have in thoseareas in life.
They want everything to rise asthey're rising.
It all is gonna be a reflectionof yourself.
And if you're not taking care ofyourself, if you're not doing
work on yourself every day,you're gonna have low standards

in other areas of life.
You might be making money inbusiness and growing a business,
but are you really maximizingthe potential you have in that
business?
Are you really maximizing theimpact you could have on your
team members, on your employeesand customers, on the people in
your community?
Chances are you're not.
I look at a guy who's doingseven or eight figures and I go,
damn, if that guy was dialed in,if he was fit, if he was sober,

if he had systems in hispersonal life that built him up
every day, that guy would bedreaming even bigger.
And imagine the impact that hecould have.
So without going into too muchdetail and giving you everything
that Dr.
Benjamin Hardy breaks down inthis book, The Science of
Scaling, I want you to do acouple things.
First of all, I want you toorder this off Amazon right
away.
Read all his books, the onesthat I shared earlier, devour

them all, study them.
They're gonna add so much valueto your life.
And the second thing I want youto do is I want you to carve out
15 minutes each and every dayreflecting on what would that
amazing life by design whereeverything is exactly the way I
want it to be, what would thatlook like?
From your relationships to yourhealth, to your business, to
your money and revenue, yourimpact, I want you to be able to

envision and see it.
Then I want you to ask yourself,who is the man or woman that I
have to evolve into to make thatpossible?
And before you achieve the biggoals in life, you have to be
able to get clear on who thatman or woman is, what that man
or woman does and does not do,and you have to be willing to
eliminate things, cut peopleout, make sacrifices, make new

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed.
