Struggling to be fully present with your family while your mind races with business concerns? You're not alone.

This episode tackles one of the most challenging paradoxes entrepreneurs and high-performers face: how to turn off your "make money mind" when it's family time. From the beautiful shores of Goleta, California—my paradise home with mountains, ocean, and perfect weather—I share the raw reality of building a business while trying to be present for those who matter most.

After 13 years of entrepreneurship and countless conversations with my wife about being too distracted by work at home, I've discovered two game-changing solutions that have transformed my ability to be ultra-present wherever I am. The first might surprise you: make significantly more money. When you reach financial abundance, the anxiety that keeps your mind chained to work begins to dissolve. Until then, honest communication with your partner about your vision and challenges is essential.

The second breakthrough came when I built a team of 15 amazing individuals at Unstoppable 365. Knowing business operations continue without my constant supervision creates the mental space to fully disconnect. For those still building toward that reality, I share practical strategies like environmental pattern interrupts—physically changing your surroundings to help your brain transition from work mode to family mode.

Beyond mindset techniques, we explore the structural limitations of traditional employment and why developing high-value skills that solve real problems is the path to both financial and mental freedom. Whether through coaching, sales, or other leverage-based careers, the goal isn't just wealth accumulation but having so much abundance that you can focus on giving, helping others, and being completely present for the experiences and relationships that truly matter.

Ready to transform how you balance work, wealth, and family presence? Listen now, and discover how to be fully where you are—whether hustling in business or playing with your kids at the beach. Your journey to an unstoppable mindset starts with being present in each moment.

year round.
We got the mountains right here, the ocean to my back, tons of
family, tons of memories here.
He said how do you turn offyour make money mind when it's
family time?
I think for entrepreneurs, business owners, for men who are
providers, this is one of thehardest things is when you're
with your family to be present.

(00:21):
So wherever I'm at, I'm workingto be ultra present.
Now, unless you're a trust fundbaby, no one's going to give
you a handout.
You got to fucking earn itEvery day.
I don't have a job.
I get to create.
This is my lifestyle, this iswhat I do, and I've learned how
to produce income off of mylifestyle by helping other
people.
Welcome back to another episodeof the Unstoppable Mindset

(00:48):
Podcast.
I'm your host, sean MichaelCrane.
We're here in beautiful Goleta,california.
We're in G-Town baby.
This is where I grew up.
This is where I grew up.
This is where I currentlyreside.
It's paradise, right,california politics, that's
another subject, but I live inparadise Beautiful weather, 70
degrees year round.
We got the mountains right here, the ocean to my back, tons of

(01:09):
family, tons of memories here.
But I'm a different person.
I'm a different person than Iwas when I grew up here and I
thank God for the lessons thatI've been taught.
Anyway, if you guys arelistening to this and you're in
the 805, or you want to come tothe 805, get a workout, connect
in person.
Every once in a while I'll doin-person masterminds, but I
haven't done them in a while,I've just been busy.

(01:30):
But if you want to come and geta workout and connect with me,
shoot me a message on Instagram.
It's Sean S-E-A-N underscorecrane underscore official.
I love getting people in personjust to show them my lifestyle
and what I do every day, becauseI want to inspire and impact
you and I'm not saying I'mbetter than you, but I put in a
lot of work for the last 13years to get me to this point in

(01:50):
life, and so if there'ssomething I can show you or
share with you that I've gonethrough that's going to help you
, then that's what it's allabout, okay, so, as I'm talking
to you guys here on the podcast,I'm also streaming live on
instagram and and I toldsomebody on there you know
what's something you want tochange in your life, what's
something you want to improveupon, and so this is what he
said, and I'm going to use thisepisode to provide some value

(02:11):
here.
He said how do you turn offyour make money mind when it's
family time?
I think for entrepreneurs, business owners, for men who are
providers, this is one of thehardest things is when you're
with your family to be present.
Okay, I know a lot of guys thattell me when they're at work
they're thinking about theirfamily, and then when they're
with their family they'rethinking about work, and I'm

(02:32):
sure a lot of people can relateto that.
It's very hard for individualsjust to be present where they're
at.
This is something I've workedreally, really, really, really
hard at and the last year I feellike I've dialed it in.
Like, when I'm home with thefamily, I'm so present, and when
I'm in work mode, I'm sopresent.
The main thing I'm focused on isbeing where I'm at.

(02:53):
If I'm at the gym, I'm at thegym.
I'm not on my phone.
I don't even wear headphonesanymore.
I'm just in the gym in my lift.
When I'm with my kids, I'mplaying with them, I'm giving
them eye contact.
When I'm with my wife, I'm notgiving her those automated
answers, because they can tellwhen you're not really there and
you just give them one of those.
Oh yeah, babe answers, right, they hear it in your tonality.
So wherever I'm at, I'm workingto be ultra present.

(03:14):
Now I've struggled in the pastwith that and I've even had, you
know, discussions with my wifewhere she's like you're on your
phone at home and you know Iwant you to be here with me.
And I've always been veryhonest with her about the
challenges that I face buildingmy business as an entrepreneur.
You know, I always express toher what I'm going through
whether it's a financialchallenge, just some type of

(03:35):
adversity in the business andhelping to bring her into my
world and to understand why I'mdoing what I'm doing.
And I've always told her like, hey, I don't want to be on my
phone at home, I want to bepresent.
But also I got this dream andthis vision that I'm pursuing.
Also, you know, I got thesebills that we got to pay and I
got this business that I got tobuild, these customers to serve
and my employees to pay, and Ijust always bring her into my

(03:56):
world so she can understand howI'm feeling and what I'm going
through.
So that's the first step is behonest.
So if you want to get to thepoint where you're ultra present
.
There's really two things thathave helped me, that'll help you
, and number one is super simpleit's make more fucking money.
When you have a lot of money, you don't worry about money, and

(04:17):
I know it's like well, duh, right, but that's the truth.
There's going to be seasons inyour life.
You're grinding, you're workinghard to get to a place where
money is not as much of an issueor it doesn't stress you out.
If you have money in the bankand you know you got money
rolling in, you got youroverhead covered and you're
saving and you're investing, you're doing what you want to do
with your life.
It's a good place to be.
It's a good feeling.
You got to work really hard toget there.

(04:38):
So there's going to be seasonsof life until you get there
where you are stressedfinancially, where you don't
have enough funds, where you gotto work more and hey, that's
what it takes.
You know, unless you're a trustfund baby, no one's going to
give you a handout.
You got to fucking earn it,right, and so that's why the
communication with yoursignificant other is so
important.

(04:59):
But even as you're buildingyour business, you're going
through that season of financialstress, you can still carve out
time each and every day to bepresent.
So you know, when I was goingthrough that in my life, I would
get up at four, work out, andthat would alleviate some of the
stress I was going through.
I'd grind all day long inbusiness endeavors and by the
time the end of the day came Ididn't want to see my phone
anymore because I'd put in somuch work and it was easier for

(05:20):
me to be present in thosemoments with my wife and kids
and we'd go to the park and we'ddo something outside.
I knew when I got outsidewhether it was the beach or the
park and I was with the kids andthey're playing and running
around.
It was so much easier for me tomake that transition from work
mode to family mode.
So for me there had to be somepattern, interrupt or something
different than just coming homeand sitting around.
If I came home from working allday and then everyone's just

(05:42):
sitting around, I kind of sitwith them and start to get bored
and check my phone.
All of a sudden I'm thinkingabout work again.
But if we would go to the beachor go to the park or go to the
pool, and I'm in the moment withthem.
It allowed me to make thattransition much easier.
The second thing that has helpedme immensely and this has taken
place the last year is buildinga team.
I now have a team of 15 amazingindividuals that are a part of

(06:06):
Unstoppable 365.
So when you have a team and youknow that tasks and endeavors
that need to get done to run thebusiness are being done
automatically every day, withouteven having to see it, touch it
or do it, that's a greatfeeling.
It alleviates a lot of pressureand take some weight off your
shoulders.
So for me, those are two thingsthat have made a huge
difference is building the teamand making more money, so that
money's not a problem.

(06:26):
I know that for some of you, that's going to be like an
answer.
You're like well damn Sean, like how do I make more money?
That's a whole separate issue.
What I would tell you is youneed to be a business owner, not
an employee, and you need tohave a position in life that
allows you to earn exponentiallymore money than any nine to
five out there.
If you're working a nine tofive, you're always going to
feel financially strapped.

(06:48):
There's always going to be thatfeeling inside of you where
it's never enough.
You're going to be just payingyour bills each and every month,
just trying to get by.
I never wanted to live that way, so I was willing stubbornly to
pursue my vision, build mybusiness, even when the odds
were stacked against me.
I was willing to take risk andput myself out there, and now
I'm being rewarded for it.

(07:09):
So if you're in a position rightnow that you don't want to be
in, learn new skills, observemarkets, study, see what people
are doing, who are successful, who have money, and figure out
what you would love to do withyour life.
Like every day, I don't have ajob I get to create.
This is my lifestyle, this iswhat I do, and I've learned how
to produce income off of mylifestyle by helping other
people.

(07:29):
So if that's the route you wantto go, you can get into
coaching.
If you want to learn saleswhich you probably all should
you can sell real estate.
You can sell cars.
You can sell coaching.
Medical devices is a big sale.
A lot of people make money inthat field.
So start identifying.
What are the skill sets youneed.
What are those?
What is the profession changeyou need to make.
Who are the people you need toobserve and study?

(07:51):
Maybe you hire some of them asmentors.
What are the books you need toread?
And, honestly, every man, yourobligation is to earn enough
money where money's never aproblem.
Just like every man should haveabs, every man should be a
superhero dad for his kids.
Like I, have certain criteriaand boxes that I check
personally that I think everyman should abide by.
That's just my opinion.
You don't have to do what I sayor do what I do, but I've

(08:13):
created a pretty exceptionallife for me and my family by
focusing on these things.
So I mean sobriety right, workout every day, become an example
, become a beast, be well-spoken, know how to articulate and
enunciate properly.
Use your words to convict, motivate and inspire other
people.
Read a lot of books, educateyourself and then develop skills

(08:38):
that make you a lot of money.
Because, hey, I'm not amaterialistic person, I'm not a
superficial person, but I wantso much money that I can just
give tons of it away to helpother people or bless people, or
build hospitals or startnonprofits, send my kids to the
best schools, build beautifulhomes all over the place that we
could travel to see the worldtogether.
Nothing's off limits in my life, um, and in order to do that,
you need funds, right?
So hope that answered yourquestion, brother.

(09:00):
Hope you guys are inspired bythis message.
Um, go out there and make animpact and do what you got to do
to earn, to provide and to be atrue example example.
