Have you ever felt completely stuck because of past mistakes? That gnawing feeling that you've wasted too much time or made too many wrong turns to ever create the life you truly want?

This powerful episode tackles that exact mindset. I share how to transform your perceived failures and regrets into your greatest assets - converting them into an unstoppable driving force. Drawing from my own rock-bottom experience in a jail cell 13 years ago, I reveal how channeling past pain properly can create motivation that never diminishes, but actually grows stronger with time.

We explore the crucial difference between fleeting surface-level motivation and having a profound "why" that sustains you through any challenge. I break down why legends like Kobe Bryant would shoot free throws at 3AM while teammates slept, and how Tom Brady maintained championship-level drive until his final game. Their secret wasn't just talent—it was something deeper that pushed them beyond where talent alone could take them.

At 37, many tell me I'm "ahead" in business and life. My response? I'm still making up for lost time. That perspective—channeling past regrets into present action—has fueled 13 years of relentless personal growth and business development. This alchemist's approach lets you transform negative experiences into the catalyst that propels you toward extraordinary achievement.

Ready to finally harness your past instead of being held back by it? This episode provides the mindset shifts needed to convert your pain into unstoppable power. Subscribe, share with someone who needs this message, and let's build something extraordinary together.

(01:08):
So make sure that you aresharing this message, because I
want to reach more people and Ineed your help.
Today, I want to talk to youguys about how to turn all of
your mistakes, or past andperceived failures, into assets
that can drive you and serve youinto the ultimate form of
motivation.
In fact, what if I told youthat all the things that you
perceive to be bad, all themistakes you think you made, all

(01:31):
the stuff that you look back onand wish you didn't do, all the
time you've wasted, all thestuff that you allow to work
against you or make you feelless than or discourage you,
what if you could use it todrive you, to compel you to go
above and beyond in your lifeand, in fact, it was the
ultimate form of motivation?

(01:51):
How amazing would that?
Be right, because everyonewants to be motivated, but the
thing is, motivation comes andgoes.
Some days you have more energythan others.
Some days you feel moreoptimistic than others.
You know, some days you wake upand you're just not feeling it,
and when that motivation is outthere, a lot of people don't do
what they got to do right, because you're thinking the
wrong way In your mind, you'renot focused on the things that
are going to drive you to takeyour life to the next level.

(02:13):
Okay, a lot of people wantthings to be easy.
They want them to becomfortable.
They want it just to come tothem without having to work
towards it.
Whether it's your health andphysique right Now, everyone's
doing Ozempic work towards it.
Whether it's your health andphysique, right now, everyone's
doing Ozempic.
Whether it's finances, everyone's hoping that they can
hit the lottery or they, youknow, get a sugar daddy, or you

(02:34):
hit big in crypto and all thisstuff.
Like, everyone wants quick winsand you know, fast money, quick
results.
That's like the world we livein, and what I found is it
couldn't be further from thetruth.
If you really want success,it's going to take a lot longer
than you expect it to.
You're going to have to grindyour ass off and you're going to
have to find something deeperinside of you that's going to
get you out of bed each andevery day to do the work.
A lot of people say, like what'syour why?
What's your why?
What's your why?
What your why is.

(02:55):
What that means is like why thefuck are you trying to get
these results?
Why does it matter if you havethe body?
Why does it matter if you havethe money?
Why does it matter if you getthese results?
There has to be somethingthat's emotionally charged and
deeper inside of you that drivesyou beyond the thing itself
that you're aspiring to attain.
Right.
There has to be somethinginside of you that pushes you to

(03:16):
go above and beyond and to workfor as long as it takes to get
to that result.
And you can tell people whohave that deep, intrinsic drive
and we'll call it motivation toexcel in life there's something
internally that is driving thembeyond the materialism, beyond
the thing itself that they'reaspiring to attain.

(03:37):
Look at the great athletes likea Tom Brady or Kobe Bryant.
They were obsessed.
Kobe Bryant was shooting freethrows and jump shots at three
in the morning while all histeammates slept.
He'd go in the parking lot andtake a cat nap, a power nap, in
his car and everyone would beshowing up and they said Kobe
was in his car sleeping in theparking lot.
That fucking guy was driven onanother level, tom Brady.

(03:58):
He won the most Super Bowls outof any quarterback and he
stayed competitive and driventill the very last game.
He played Like he.
A lot of people, the moneychanges them.
A lot of people, when theyreach the pinnacle of success,
they let their guard down thatlevel of dedication waivers.
They're not as focused becausethey reached that goal that they
were aspiring to reach.
But when you have a deep andprofound why, it supersedes any

(04:19):
goal, it'll push you to keepgoing until the day you die.
And that's what I found, youguys, and that's what I want to
share with you, because this canspark and light a fire inside
of your heart and soul that cannever be extinguished.
This could change the way thatyou look at the world and all
these mundane tasks and thesedisciplines and these habits
that I talked to you aboutforming.
It can change the way youperceive them in such a way that

(04:40):
you value the work so much.
You get excited to get up in themorning.
You don't want to sleep in.
You get excited to do the workthat's going to build your life.
You don't look at it as somedaunting task.
You don't say I have to go dothis or I have to go do that.
You're like dude, I get to, Iget to.
It's a way different attitudeand the thing that got me really
started on this thought processwas a lot of people messaged me

(05:01):
last week about my birthday.
I turned 37 and I got a bunchof happy birthdays and a lot of
like, really positive, nicecomments and it feels good.
You know, it feels good to beacknowledged and to be
celebrated.
I get another year of life, thank you, god.
You know, and a lot of peopleare like, man, for 37, you're
pretty far ahead, sean.
Like a lot of people in thebusiness world that I'm in 37,
you're pretty far ahead, sean.
Like a lot of people in thebusiness world that I'm in, a

(05:22):
lot of people who areentrepreneurs, who are striving
to make it big, they're likedamn, dude, like I've seen what
you built with Unstoppable.
I've seen where you come from.
You're freaking far ahead.
I can't imagine where you'regoing to be when you turn 40.
You know, most people buildtheir wealth in their 40s and
50s.
Most people work their butt offin their 30s.
They start to have success intheir 40s and their 50s is when
they make it, so to speak.
Your 20s is just trial anderror and fucking around having

(05:45):
fun, right.
But my response to the peoplethat say dang, sean, you're
really far ahead for 37 is?
No, I'm not.
I'm making up for lost time.
Still, to this day, you haveseen nothing yet.
In my eyes, in my mind, I'mstill making up for all the
years I neglected, all the yearswhere I wasn't purpose-driven,
all the years where I didn'tlive up to my potential, all the

(06:06):
wasted opportunities, all thebad decisions, all the mistakes,
all the failures.
I have so many mistakes andfailures compounded in my past.
Some of you guys are sittinghere dwelling on something you
did wrong and you're letting itdiscourage you and you're
letting it discourage you andyou're letting it kill your
confidence and your drive.
Like dude, I did that athousand times over.
I was reckless, I was wild, Iabused drugs and alcohol.

(06:27):
I lived the party lifestyle, didn't have any goals, didn't
push myself to be my best.
Like I had the potential toplay sports in college.
I never went to college.
I didn't play sports in highschool.
Like I didn't do anythingexceptional.
I didn't do anything thatpeople would look at and go damn
dude.
Like that's an inspiring person.
Damn dude, that guy's likereally going after it in life.
And when I realized that waswhen I was sitting in a jail

(06:50):
cell and I finally had to beaccountable.
I finally had to reflect on mylife and who I'd become.
And the pain of that regret andthat realization broke me into
a million pieces.
I felt as small as you couldever imagine, right Like God
just freaking humbled me.
I was at rock bottom andinstead of allowing that

(07:11):
realization to make me feel badabout myself or to go further
into my addiction, or to becomea victim or to complain and
blame other people, I chose tolet that truth, that reality,
drive me in such a way that thisfeeling inside of me has never
gone away.
It's been 13 years now and Istill wake up as fucking hungry

(07:32):
and dedicated and obsessed anddriven and excited and
passionate than I was on day one.
And, if anything, the momentumis growing greater and greater
and greater with each passingday.
I wake up and I'm more gratefulthan I was yesterday.
I wake up and I'm more inspired.
I wake up and I want to be evenmore fit, more jacked, I want
to make more money.
I want to help more people, Iwant to be a more dedicated
father.
I want to be more present.

(07:52):
I want to be better in everyway imaginable today than I was
yesterday and that feeling nevergoes away because I'm still
making up for lost time and Istill got that chip on my
shoulder.
It's always a reminder of if Istart to falter in these daily
disciplines, if I lose focus, ifI forget what my values are, if
I get off track, if I losefocus, if I forget what my

(08:14):
values are, if I get off track,if I'm not in alignment, I could
jeopardize all this and I canbe back to that rock bottom.
I can be back to some horrificexistence that's so painful.
You know that you just want toend it all and almost just check
yourself out Like I live thatright.
So your experiences might notbe as severe or intense as mine,
like the pain that I wentthrough, but chances are, if
you're somebody listening tothis right now and you've

(08:35):
listened to this whole episodeall the way through you got some
freaking trauma, you got somebaggage, you got some suppressed
emotion, you got some pain, yougot some anger, you got some
heartbreak, you got some sadness.
What I will tell you is you, like an alchemist, you can take
those negative experiences andthat emotion that, if you're
suppressing it right now, isgoing to hold you back and

(08:55):
compromise you in life.
You can learn to express it insuch a way that it'll drive you
to become the most incredibleversion of yourself you could
ever fathom.
You have to get obsessed, youhave to get a little pissed off,
you have to recognize thatthose things happen to you, but
you're going to learn from them.
You're not going to dwell onthem.
You're going to actually usethose experiences to push you
harder and further beyond anyplace in life you would have got

(09:16):
otherwise.
So, in fact, those mistakes, those things that you did wrong,
those things that you look backand you get ashamed about or
you feel angry about, thosecould become a catalyst in your
life.
Those memories, those emotions, those experiences, they could
become a catalyst to fuckingpropel you into the most amazing
life.
All of your goals, like the bestlife experiences, into every

(09:40):
moment that you have with lovedones, all your relationships,
your health, your physique, likeeverything that you do, can now
become exceptionally better ifyou take those experiences and
channel that emotion and energyinto the positive actions that
you need to partake in day byday to improve the quality of
your life.
You have to get so focused onwhat you want out of this life
so focused on those visions andimages and that purpose in your

(10:03):
heart that God has bestowed uponyou.
And you have to obsess overthat vision.
You have to take all thatemotion and anger, frustration,
those mistakes, those failuresfrom the past and use them to
drive you forward.
And that's what I've been ableto do, and for the last 13 years
.
Every day, I know why I get outof bed, I know where I'm going
and I know what I gotta do toget there right.
And that level of focus andattention on your personal

(10:24):
development, on your business,on your relationships, on your
life, it changes everything.
It enhances every aspect oflife that we want to experience.
And what happens is you continueto push the past further behind
you.
I'll never forget about thepast, but I'm not fucking
dwelling on it.
I'm not a victim ofcircumstance.
I'm not complaining about it.
I'm living the life that Goddealt me, the cards that I was

(10:46):
dealt, and I'm going to figureout a way to use them to my
advantage.
That's the difference between awinner and somebody who just
gets defeated by life andcomplains about it every day
until the day they die.
What a horrible existence we'reall made for.
More we're all capable more.
I figured it out through trialand error and through my life
experience.
Now it's up to you to figure itout for yourself.
The only way you'll do that isby taking action and doing what

(11:08):
I said Use your past mistakesand failures to drive you, to
motivate you, to get you firedup and never look back.
