Thanks everyone for watching.
You're listening to See Beyondwhen you Are with C.

(00:33):
C-Bond.
Welcome back to anothermotivational Monday.
I have a word for you today.
Yes, one word, not a phrase, not multiple sentences, just one
simple, important, impactfulword.

(00:54):
This word can inspire you tohave motivation, it sparks
conversation and it can help youreach your destination.
I like that, but it is thetruth.
This one word can really helpyou to be successful and it has

(01:15):
the potential to be the reasonyou are successful.
This word is a word that wedon't use to our benefit as we
should.
We seem to shun away from itmore than we should as well.
We don't utilize it, we don'ttake it to heart, we don't apply

(01:35):
it when we need it the most, and that word is wait, simply
wait, w-a-i-t.
In this podcast, I want to talkabout how important it is to
wait.
I want to talk about how weshould wait, how you should wait

(02:00):
when you should wait, becausewhen you know those three things
by default, you will know whento move.
But let's start with having aclear definition of what wait
means.
So, I want to give you theMiriam Webster's definition of

(02:21):
wait and I want to give you thebiblical definition of wait and
we're going to see how those twocompare and how you can apply
it to your life.
The Miriam Webster's definitionof wait is to stay in place in
expectation, to look forwardexpectantly, and the third one

(02:46):
was to hold back expectantly, and that simply means just to
wait for your chance to strike.
The biblical definition of waitis similar.
Wait means to collect.
Figuratively, to expect, togather together, look patiently,

(03:13):
wait, to wait for, to wait onor to wait upon.
I gave you the definition forthe word wait because I want you
to see how important it is toutilize waiting in your strategy
to be successful.

(03:34):
So let's start off with numberone.
Have you ever had anopportunity that would have been
so great that it would have setyou up for future success?
Or you could have used that toget new clients, to break your
way into a new field, to besuccessful, to make your name
known, to start your business,or you had a contract that came

(03:57):
your way and this contract waseverything you wanted.
You was able to negotiate it,or you didn't have to negotiate
it at all.
It came to you in a packagethat was so beautifully
presented that you knew this wasthe right move for you.
But then it fell through andyou were crushed, you were hurt,

(04:21):
you was left with morequestions than answers.
How do you bounce back from that?
What do you do?
I'm here to tell you To waitand I want to tell you how you
should wait.
I am not encouraging you towait on another person.

(04:42):
I'm not encouraging you to waitfor that opportunity.
I'm not encouraging you to gochase that opportunity.
I'm encouraging you to do whatthe Bible says to do In Isaiah,
chapter 40, verse 31,.
It says but they that wait uponthe Lord shall renew their

(05:03):
strength, they shall mount upwith wings as eagles, they shall
run and not be weary, and theyshall walk and not faint.
So I want to talk about how doyou wait upon the Lord.
You sit in expectation.
I'm not telling you not to goout and try again.

(05:25):
I'm not telling you to staybusy.
I'm not telling you not to havefaith.
Yes, please, by all means, havefaith.
The waiting is important becausethat is where your faith, where
your strength, can get renewed.
Some of your questions of whyit didn't happen may be answered

(05:47):
, and let me just say this.
This is strictly my opinion.
Sometimes, when things fallapart that we wanted, that we
thought we would get, it'sbecause life began to challenge
us.
Life began to throw at usobstacles that we did not
foresee.
Life began to fight back orchallenge you.

(06:10):
And life begins to fight backbecause life will not open up
for those who give up.
So if you wait, even if itdoesn't look like it, you won't
give up.
You will still wait withexpectation.
You will look and see beyondwhere you are, but you can

(06:31):
confidently, you can securelywait with an expectation that
all door didn't happen the lasttime.
It can happen this time.
It is important to wait becausein the waiting is where you get
your new ideas, is where you getyour strength.
In the waiting is where you arecomforted.

(06:53):
In the waiting is where you letgo of all the negativity, all
the bitterness, all the hurt, all the shame.
And I say shame because we toldother people that when it
doesn't work out, we're ashamed.
So in the waiting is where youget rid of the shame.
In the waiting is where yourealize that that is not the end

(07:16):
of your life.
So waiting is important becauseit strengthens you.
Waiting gives you confidence.
Waiting gives you the time youneed to adjust your vision, to
adjust your plans, to adjustyour ideas, to come up with new

(07:38):
ideas.
Waiting gives you the courageyou need to try again.
That's why waiting is importantNumber two how to wait.
Well, the how to wait is tied tothe who you're waiting for, and

(07:59):
that's the Lord.
So how do you wait on the Lord?
It's to simply let go and relax.
Let go and relax, let go ofeverything else.
Stop talking about it, stopreliving that moment over and
over and over and just releaseit.

(08:22):
Don't go looking for the peopleor calling the people who had
the power to make your dreamcome true, but didn't Let it go.
And while you're relaxing, beginto talk, begin to talk to
yourself, begin to talk to God,begin to just talk about this to

(08:43):
you feel better, becausetalking about things oftentimes
releases the negative energy, releases the hurt, the
bitterness, the pain that isassociated with what you are
talking about.
I'm not encouraging you to talkabout it with friends or other
people.
I'm encouraging you to talkabout it to yourself and to God,

(09:05):
because while you're waiting, you begin to get clarity.
Now you know how to sit and tolook and expect that this
opportunity may have passed, butanother one will come.
Now, in your relaxed state, with a mind that's clear, you

(09:26):
can begin to look forward to thenext opportunity that's coming.
You begin to look forward tothe next time you will have the
opportunity to show what you cando, because you've been made
stronger.
God is giving you strength inyour waiting.
He's giving you strength inyour relaxing time.
He's giving you new ideas.

(09:48):
He's giving you more courage.
He's giving you understanding.
He's giving you insight, whileyou are simply waiting and
expecting him to come throughfor you.
So the way you wait is to simplyrelax and expect the best.
And let me add to that youexpect the best because you see

(10:13):
beyond where you are.
It's in the waiting.
The waiting is your therapy, the waiting is your massage.
The waiting is the waiting iswhere you release all the
pressure.
It's in the waiting.

(10:35):
Number three when to wait?
Some of the best times to waitis when things have gone bad,
when things are good and whenyou just don't know what to do.
Those are three of the besttimes to wait, because when you
don't know what to do and youmove, that's when you make the

(10:59):
biggest mistakes.
So, rather than make a hugemistake, simply wait.
If you've just gotten out of abad relationship or you've been
let go from your job, wait.
That's a good time to wait Now.

(11:21):
Understand this.
I'm not telling you not to applyto other jobs or not to apply
yourself, just to relax and donothing.
That's not what I'm telling you.
That's not what I'm encouragingyou to do.
I'm encouraging you to wait ina relaxed state, but be

(11:41):
expecting that the good is goingto come.
Be expecting that you will getanother opportunity that may be
even bigger than the one thatpassed you or the one that
didn't work out.
You have to expect that thingsare going to work out for you.
When you wait, you get to expectbigger, better and more,

(12:07):
because in that scripture that Imentioned earlier, isaiah 40,
verse 31, promises you fourthings in your waiting.
Number one but they that waitupon the Lord shall renew their
strength, meaning they will getfresh strength, fresh energy.

(12:28):
You have to recognize thatyou've lost some energy, that
you've lost some strength.
This is the first step inwaiting, and it is to have your
strength renewed.
Number two they shall mount upwith wings as eagles.

(12:48):
All this means is that you havethis ability in you to soar.
And all God is saying is thatif you spread that confidence,
spread that knowhow, spread thatknowledge out, you will soar
like eagles.

(13:10):
Number three they shall run andnot be weary.
You have the opportunity to runand catch up to the opportunity
that you missed.
Or you can run past the lastopportunity, and you will not
get tired because your strengthhas already been renewed.

(13:34):
Now you have the ability tochase after your dreams.
Now you can run, and you won'tget tired.
And number four they shall walkand not faint.
Now you're walking with theopportunity, you won't lag
behind anymore.

(13:55):
You will be side by side, walking in harmony with your
opportunity.
Now that you know how importantit is to wait, how to wait,
when to wait, just knowing thatwhen you do those things, you
will know when to move.
Your instincts will kick in.

(14:16):
But give yourself time to wait.
I challenge you to wait.
You've been listening to SeeBeyond Where You Are with C.
Bond, until next time, remember, life doesn't open up for those

(14:36):
who quickly give up!
