Good Friday, June 13th.
Hope you're well.
And here is the meditation fromthe devotional.
The Lord is Near coming with atopic of comfort, hope, and
rest.
Maybe we all be encouragedtoday.
I.

Joshua (00:17):
May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and
Father, who has loved us andgiven us everlasting consolation
and good hope by grace, comfortyour hearts and establish you in
every good word and work.
2 Thessalonians 2:16–17 Comfort,Hope, and Rest Talking with
brothers and sisters in Christ,we sometimes conclude saying

(00:39):
that“God is the greatEncourager.” The above verse
confirms this thought with whatthe apostle Paul wrote to the
new believers in Thessalonica inpresent-day Greece, which was at
the time a part of Macedonia inthe Roman Empire.
After his visit to Thessalonica,the apostle Paul wrote them his
first Epistle.

However, the enemies of God’swork continued their attacks,
for which reason the apostlesent them his second Epistle.
It included a brief outline ofprophetic events that will take
place after the believers whobelong to the present period of
grace will have been taken awayfrom this earth in an amazing
event called“the rapture.” Thedreadful prophetic events that

the unbelieving world will faceafterwards are in sharp contrast
to the blessed hope thebelievers have because of God’s
grace.
He is the only One who gives us“good hope,” whereas people
around us do not have any realhope.
That is why they need to repentand turn to the Lord Jesus to be
saved.
He has said, and still says,“Come to Me, all you who labor

and are heavy laden, and I willgive you rest”(Mt.
11:28).
If you do that, and go to Him infaith, the Lord Jesus Christ
will give you true rest.
He invites you to take His yokeand learn from Him.
This means to submit to Him whois“gentle and lowly in heart,”
not proud or harsh.

He promised,“you will find restfor your souls”(v.
29).
Do not refuse His kindinvitation extended to you in
grace and compassion.
One day, He will be therighteous Judge of the universe,
and no one will be able to avoidmeeting Him.
